Has anyone else read "Giants in the Earth" by O.E. Rolvaag? It's one of my favorite books. I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder as a kid, so when I realized that the blizzard winter of 1880-81 in "The Long Winter" was the same system that tore through Rolvaag's Spring Creek settlement in "Giants in the Earth" my mind was blown!
