The Lexibook Stream part 1 (disappointment)

impressed okay welcome to the Lexa book the TV game console 28 games in one as I've said before this is sort of a first time reaction thing I this is as far as I've got I've booted it up to the menu test the controller works and that's it I haven't played any of the games I O I'm almost tempted to set up a webcam laser for the motion controls just so you can see I think I want to save motion controls for sort of last maybe maybe do a few games in each category but save motion control last cuz that won't feel special or should I set a webcam should I just do it now before we get into it or should we just go [Music] we're impressed with it having main menu music but it's a very short repetitive loop I already know it up my heart just look at these icons I'm really excited for this but I'm also terrified of it cuz I have no idea what I'm getting [Music] into H right let's this is not a good restra this is nothing on the way can't even do it up there we go safety first uh there we go okay um let's just dive in I'm actually going to take this for a strap off cuz it's actually really not [Music] comfortable let's start with classic games we go backwards oh no it looks like every emulated uh bootleg cartridge to like 500 in one 113 games in the section alone I know I know that's how they get you if the if we just show them the main menu and it looks good we can fol them into buying it what is this music oh no look at the look at the selection icon look at look at the purple around I'm sorry what what is that sound effect no no I don't like it sounds like it sounds like QT spr so horrifying why did the menu have such good graphics and now we have this NES looking thing I'm going to do it again I win oh I went before it [Music] started go I'm just mashing the a button right now come on yeah did it I spent real money on this how do I get out of there I don't want to play this again thank you this isn't an NES game right cuz it looks like one but one of the things that sold me on this console is that I was pretty sure it wasn't an NES emulation machine also I have no idea how to get back to the menu I am pressing all the buttons do I have to reset the entire console no it does have a reset button oh no you actually actually do you actually do have to why I need to see if this is more NES games or not uh hurdles is going to be the [Music] same I don't know whether to go through all of these games at some point maybe just do one on each page for now or but well no let me ask you is there anything here that you're desperate to see on this one page oh I I had reasonably decently average expectations for this and the first game has just crushed it all and stamped on it and rubbed it into the dirt aot okay let's see oh wait no wa it's another NES looking Sonic 1 that I realized just how slow we used to have 8 Bit And I think 16 bit well no obviously 16 bit Sonic 16 bit but you know those two eras I never really knew about a different um Regional signals until then but it really is this is the I feel like I'm a broken record but I can't like say this enough this is the exact thing I didn't think that this was which is why I wanted [Music] it stay long thing in the rgg games and it looks really complicated I've never learned it so there's always been some side stuff that I haven't done like I think um there's a couple quests and that in one or two of the games that have been locked behind um Mar on so that's s I'm planning to learn before I stream the series if my brain can hold the information cuz I think it would be cool you see look at the Box CU I've never actually studied the box so I didn't want spoilers only one picture on this box is one of the NES games only one they knew they were they were hiding it and it's right off in the corner and even then looking at it you can tell it's different to the rest of the games but it's just but it isn't one of the blatantly obvious ones they knew and they hit it hang on my headphones falling off yeah the thing is I like this I'm looking forward to the bootleg wi games cuz I think they will be more like this the fact that this is an NES machine is what has gotten me so controller there's four arrow buttons and on the other side there's abxy and to play this game you use the arrow buttons to do the up down left right and let me just do it again so we can see if I press it's abxy in the um what actual style is this it's not even it's a on the left B on the bottom y on the right X on top which I think is similar to 3DS but anyway look if I down up left right and then a is the right corner even though it's on the left B is the left corner X is the right back corner and Y is the left back corner meaning I don't know how to get to the two bottom corners do you think I win it's not going to be start select is it nope it's not start select oh I accidentally exited oh well that was trample Goblin Bean King oh it's horrifying this all style is horrifying but I love it because it's exactly what I wanted look at this guy at the front on the right look at him just staring into your Soul this is like a early 90s PC game and I love it press start one player one it's it's Pac-Man of course it's Pacman that's a Sonic bumper again that's a Sonic [Music] bumper I feel a little bit Justified now this is good [ __ ] yeah this this is perfect I love it dream of Buster move 2 Arcade Edition on PS1 and it's the game we' had since childhood so that's kind of a voice clip that I you know would remember if I'm right I could be wrong I'm making a fool myself it's a simple driving game but at least it's not 8 bit and at least the music's kind of funky I'm done I'm I think we'll stop here for now let's just take a look at the next page just to tease a bit of something these different AR Styles this is what I wanted it's like having the App Store in a console I love it um yeah thanks for bearing with as I slowly lost my sanity this wasn't what I wanted but
