Hitler replied by ignoring the former Kaiser entirely and letting him die in obscurity in exile.
To be fair if Wilhelm had been a bit more competent then WWI could have been avoided (or at least not the clusterfuck it became) thus Hitler would have remained a disgruntled and failed painter. Pushing Bismark out before he could learn from him was a mistake.
Yeah it sucks when you put in a lot of work and some dick with a shitty mustache comes in and takes all the credit.
He was right in a way. Hitler's WWII German was still led, in large part, by the traditional Prussian military officer class from Wilhelm's time.
