THE KV-1C WAS ALMOST INVINCIBLE - Why does no one play this now?

in this video we play a tank that ruined the experience in War Thunder for an entire year so join me in this video where we try to figure out why is this thing never played anymore I forgot you're broken I don't want to play with you anymore hi guys and welcome back to the channel today we're playing the kv-1c also known as the kid w1c756 are in Brackets now most people who have played 3.7 to 4.7 will remember this thing and absolutely dreaded its existence it has an astonishing amount of armor on this bad boy here it's basically better armored than a tiger one and 4.7 is now at 5.0 and I rarely ever see them now so I thought I'd play it just to find out why and it turns out this thing is just as disgusting as it ever used to be what is the KW key 40 L48 Canon which gives us 145 millimeters of penetration at Point Blank it's got great angle pen it's very devastating once it gets inside the toilet almost 30 grams of TNT equivalent but where this thing really shines is in its armored Department if you have a look here we have on the front 75 millimeters but we also have have a Pleak armor that gives this another 25 millimeters on top that's 100 millimeters it's slightly angled and if you look at this side as well typical kv1 75 millimeters here and again some oblique armor where the weak spots normally are present now we'll Focus front on here with their own gun you'll see that it's actually quite easy to pin this thing if it's flat on however if you're playing it right you angle around about here and your Hull is absolutely Untouchable so when we move on to the turret that slightly changes it still makes a very difficult shot on these turret cheeks here there's no chance at all unless you hit this little edge here but if you creep your shot a little bit too close to the mantlet it overlaps and it has over 500 millimeters of armor now the couple on this thing a couple of years ago used to be a really good weak spot but nowadays there's so much different Optics and overlaps here that is actually really awkward and if you're wiggling this things hold on turn it it just becomes a volumetric nightmare so here's why I think this thing isn't spammed out as much as it used to be most people who played this thing would just play it completely branded and expect the tank to do all the work for them but now this moved up to 5.0 there's obviously stronger guns at 6.0 they can take this thing out such as the Bulldog but again even against the apds from the Bulldog you can still out angle it and stop shots from killing you so like every other nation in the game you have to work to make your armor work in your favor and that's where most people drop the ball on this thing it's still incredibly powerful it's still well worth the GE for this thing and it is still a very very good tank so today we're gonna play an optiers and see how we do spy little air goes very well let's get into battle afraid that we are full of the year so 6.0 let's find out why no one plays this thing anymore right first of all we are terrible teammates oh you now have a panther in five oh yes I guess it's been relegated because of that still I'm that a bomb for me for the cheaty and we saw some Americana coming this way as well right I don't like the sound of it we're all right I gotta get to the B area ish actually our team's company so you're a little bit of time I suppose there's a kb2 up here aha maybe if I over here after all I don't know what that is I gotta back off it was a little bit too high project added the splint is upset oh boys first please why can't I kill this guy and that's a su100 I think here oh hey this is not good at all look at this this cheetah got flipped and there's a Sherman coming over here as well I get eight shells left we were getting that cat back but not anymore bad shot he also bad shot so that was very clever I mean I was an aim I wasn't going to go through his Upper Front play anyway we got 10 kills though I think we come back and another one maybe yeah yeah let's go we won't go airplane just yet but 6.0 stelden fairly well fairly well that I would say my teammates not so great not so great at all that happens right there's a single Spa stopping three of my teammates get into a this guy's gonna remember more bombs right it's a medium tank on c as well now foreign somewhere the guy's got bombs maybe a little bit careful okay lots of explosions happening how are we looking there are many many enemies left I think it's time to play a little bit defensively Maybe where is this kb2 that's just absolutely destroying my whole team is here there's so much dust in this game who did that to me a kb85 you may be dead here we got him right where's the Scooby Doo he's behind that house somewhere right there's no longer any house good oh he's moved on he died was that a plane or a tank we may die and I have no idea where we get shot from it wasn't my left wasn't you either this guy's about to get killed right that espu what the hell hit me Leon just not buying that building either AKB so are you out here somewhere I have no idea what attract me it could have been a plane foreign I you in a complete fill camera head-on and our vehicle that they can easily turn you in okay as p57's going back though uh you can no longer up and play that thing why is my plane jerking away like this there we go we got this guy's driver and track but I think I'm a I think I'm poorly out of it vehicles to spawn right here GG I don't know if we'll win this or not but I definitely tried my best hey did Germany USA versus Russia I'm assuming yeah and what do you think do we do the up and almost there yeah then why not because it's stupid right that's why not we made it I was probably not a don't like those things hanging out I've seen shots on anything from you don't think so because I definitely a guy behind this t34 as well this is kind of a good spot and a bad spot at the same time this time I need to reload it so let's go off in this direction repair and then see what happens from here oh actually our team is getting annihilated by a t3457 icon Moment In Time foreign why are be a plane no Double A's for me then oh he's here spawned on our tank oh it's a Churchill oh maybe CR AP come on they're gonna loader dead and there's our double history oh it it was a plane yeah yeah I don't I don't understand why you're not playing this still right oh we are with Sweden France and the USA it should be a fairly even fight I think enemies already on sea gravity R3 T20 yep R3 he almost made it uh spawn before most of our team have left what's that AirSpeed and over there looks cut I recognize that name how have I not been shot yet okay he's gonna have a bad team now right thank you there's one I got one reload though I don't know why he just sat there and took that he could have run to me or something but nope it's an rt3457 to my left side I can't actually see right now I'm sort of bed I want to reverse a bit actually is he coming down towards me but he's he's aware absolutely whiffed that shot that game made mistakes this is such a good brawler this thing is insane because you take a rest and go this way hold up t3457 just got pummeled with high explosives so we're all right there's another one here I can see flashing on the map a second ago not for me no I don't know who that was for a concept goodbye Sweet Child and there's a guy on Maria inside but also one up here but that case so loud foreign behind me or what I need to I need to run here I heard them go around here it's like that bone rattling noise oh no I chailed it was a child right back around you all I think we'll try and sweep the right hand side this enemy team are not having a good still damage me I guess and that's a normal kb1 is just exploded three we got one flying girl out here hopefully my teammates will pick that up plenty of enemies my teammates just died down here on this device another T30 457 it's okay he's on C let's see him he doesn't see me last night I'm gonna say there's another guy he's also been dealt with though oh crap if you're sure from okay at least repair this now didn't lose any crew no I don't know get him here see boy oh dear yeah the the USA Germany Gumball was strong oh crap I have a guy goodbye big guy ah shot him through his roof how does that even work where has everyone They're All Dead are you still alive 3034 no more questions need to be asked right go for another double history God that's thanks so easy to play he is no longer with a zero that thing penned me damn I would say I'm surprised but am I really what was this guy doing you shouldn't have moved it you shouldn't have moved should have stayed very well Gigi no doubles this time but yeah very easy listen to me the fact this has gone up to 5.0 from 4.7 has changed absolutely nothing except from the fact that you're no longer a billion people at 3.7 it still is awesome get back in your tank and you'll do well in it and you'll get yourself a million silver Lions just from playing this one vehicle for a few matches anyway thank you for watching today I am
