The Griz Can Catch Walleye

look at that boy that's a nice walleye that's really a nice one yeah this week on the g3 sportsman we headed up to Minnesota up around the Minneapolis st. Paul area and even though that Minneapolis may be famous for the Timberwolves there's another animal that roams around and here in these waters that you're going to meet today and his name is the Grizz the g3 sportsman is presented by Yamaha reliability starts here hi my name is dick Kaminski the Grizzly called me and I live in st. Paul Minnesota and Mississippi is right fish out of and I like catch every kind of fish Ernest in Minnesota almost except lake trout and salmon but my specialty is catching walleyes that's what I go after our plan of it will go walleye fish don't try to catch the wall up we make it all kind of goodies you'll get at least ten species a day yeah all right so we're just gonna kind of head out and we going up or down river we're going up to start with we'll be down okay all right this ought to be fun yeah hit and run spots you'll see a lot of spots today there you go hit and run with the Griz on the Mississippi River up here in Minnesota see I go we're eating them all all right show you what happens people think they fooled me you know it's up to them for catching the fish so when he get lazy and they don't want it go in the mouth so they go like this I'll show you what happens they go through here like this alright you're jigging so your jig is here your minnow is going around it's going around the circle's like this here and yeah well here the way I hook them they don't do that so you go inside the mouth see then you just go right in the mouth and the rig you want to get back in that meat great straight in the center of the forehead as you can just like that and that eliminates your mineral from spinning around like that yep perfect first time yeah let it hit bottom okay just let it hit bottom yep then you shut your mouth here I'll show you arianna there it's not deep it's only seven feet oh you're doing it it's just real easy fishing this lift and drop so you might slack there yeah just like that just lift and drop you wanted to touch bottom each time OOP about force me to go to the outside there's a walleye another nice walleye you let me get the net yeah go ahead let's keep fitting fishing you're so used to doing this you just yeah I get nature to unit yep that's another good walleye little gray yeah remember good eating ones there you know if you're eating fish fun to catch there I believe that in just a little bit bigger than the last one yeah yeah yeah they're all sizes you know you'll get them like this and you get get some great big great big fish to down here so yeah about that nice walleye alright put them back up there he goes a little sloppy release but there's a fish fish oh we had a little more action to another catfish I got it now we pulled in the wall out hole and what do I you know I come to I went to Ohio to walleye fish and deigned if I didn't catch catfish then I come to Minnesota walleye gets few koala and I'm still catching - yep whoa how about that boys very nice right there here's my first Minnesota wall I just got him pulled up on a little spot he's got grids has got a thousand spots over here on the river so that's what makes it fun you just pull up on these and you never know when you're gonna when you're going to grab one and this is a this is just a prime example of what you get right here oh these walleye gotta have the multi you catch this many different species easy to do heavy-duty multi towels - man yeah these are big thick well he goes everywhere we go man yeah I love how it's yeah it's always there wipe your hands and that is our Minnesota walleye read right there there you go we've got this on six pound Berkeley try lean XT that's what this line is right here I've got just a very small swivel you can barely see it right there a little bitty swivel it keeps the twists out of my line when we're drifting we've got six foot nine Abu Garcia Veritas next generation v series rods right here these are medium light I've got a fast tip good little strong backbone and then a little matching Revo s Abu Garcia size 10 spinning reel that's what we've got right there it's a good combination Chris you've never used these and they're working good ain't it yep perfect rod for doing this I just use it today is my first time and well it's working good for me too so yeah I'd buy one there you go go on yeah ooh no head shake here small more bang for tonight thanks Molly what a catch man that's a fantastic catch man look at that now I mean that's a dead gun good smallmouth anyway and what a great catch by the Griz I'll be that sort of sort of rookie on your fight you did kind of root me out of my fight yeah yeah just starting to have fun with her look at that now well you get into a mess of them so what I'm talking about right there nice smallmouth thank you girl you know for most of us from anywhere south of Minneapolis of whatever we're not familiar with walleye and we would specially not relate walleye to the Mississippi River of all things yeah we really we would but it's full of walleye in it oh yeah yeah it's one of the healthiest fisheries around in Minnesota or even though I mean as far as you know getting big fish and all sizes but who will your chances are very great to get a 10 plus though yeah and and other species do you know a big fish but walleye so then some sagres at our huge hotel so you got it I mean you're down every time you get a fish on you don't know what you're gonna pull up you know you can guess it's tough but sometimes you're wrong there we go no what do you got well this is just the honey hole I'll beat this it's maybe another small e she kind of acts like a small e might be a big wall I do he's dumping her could be could be I think it is Wally oh what a honey hole is yeah Watty now nothing wrong with that fish no that's a dandy and this is out of one hole I call it a crappie a big smallmouth a Gasper goo yeah and now this nice walleye yeah about that all right girl go back in there whoa well she gave me a whipping oh yeah yeah River fish are strong you know they sitting that current all day yeah well the next spot will be mainly walleyes down there oh you got your other stuff too but no Oh yep wait like another wall cease were swinging her own gate tail no be swimming that's probably another walleye and maybe yeah I think it is a whoa yeah that's a nice one too how about that man golly I'm here to tell you and I'll say this to you grits like I do a lot of things if somebody don't like coming and fishing with you they are a hard person to please yeah look at that boys that is some kind of nines right there simple little rig nothing nothing fancy nothing major the only thing that's tough is my release someday I'll learn how to how to do it there you go fishing with the grills right there nice Wally I know all you northerners are going look how he's holding that wall I hate that yeah Bama boy coming over here doing there that's nice man that's real nice I mean these are good aren't they Korea oh yeah okay yeah she fights me all the way the segment of the g3 sportsman is brought to you by team catfish where to fish I know you're here all the time but what are you looking for well I like to in the river of your fish and walleyes you know like you can look at that if you look at the shoreline you know the rocks and stuff I like to you know fish the rocker areas and places where they you got sort of a shelf and it drops into deeper water right away you know real quick them and you know a little you got to watch your depth finder like right here now we're coming up on a little just like eight feet of water comes up on a five foot Knoll and there's usually a walleye laying off you know right in front of this thing and out and when the water slows down a little more I'd do a lot of wing damn fishing fish there he hit it what about it now feel like it might be a boy yeah yeah boy what boy oh you got to do is holler net boy oh okay look thinks he's part smallmouth there you go yeah there you go that's one Griz yep Oh whatever things are strong well they are yeah they're hard to get ahold of I hadn't mastered it yet so it kind of tickles me to see them giving you a fit yeah I know don't hear them they're heard though I mean you're so strong because they're in that current all the time yeah but you've got that big old grizzly pause oh yeah oh you can grab hold of them nothing wrong with that dude no get you under we go yeah pretty in that Sun yeah there we go getting to be arias oh yeah very nice man we've catching a massive wall a lot yeah good man let her go I don't think no well but I mean we look at how long we fish here in fish come in here I don't know I don't know see we got it's always a surprise in here yeah I think he just now figured out he was hooked hooked yeah hadn't seen him yet Oh a nice walleye oh man that's a big one see only Fisher ten minutes like I said you know my very good one Scott is that is a good one man what a nice Waller that's a good walleye anywhere right there boys I mean and they'll fight you even in the boat you come down here and fish with this guy believe me he may look like a biker but I'm telling you he's a fisherman he'll put you all walleye just like this and probably even bigger he's a heck of a guide and a fun guy to fish with man what a great job good fish that's a good one yep good job even for a rookie like me oh yeah where let her go you know I noticed on your g3 here Chris it's even got the Grizz this is the Grizz models yeah of the g3 outfitter 177 you know this boat was perfect for what we were doing today and really you know we wouldn't do anything special it's just some of your honey holes and just kind of common knowledge was how we found our biggest majority walleye today yeah oh yeah yeah well the Pope you know it works out perfect for what you're doing I mean presentation and holding a boat on a spot that's very important and the boat handles really well for that and really your presentation of how we were doing it and and how you were positioning the boat you run everything from the back of the boat straight that worked good yeah oh yeah that's my office factor yeah yeah that's fish good big boy yep not a monster but it's a walleye I can swing around there and giddy okay how about this little trick about that yeah good teaching me well brother yeah would he eat it he nailed it did it yeah look at came and sees a jig yeah when I have to go ahead ain't putting my fingers in her oh that wouldn't be very wise no there you go yeah hey monster boy he's are good yeah that's another good walleye right there yep put him back for seed therapy good walleye call him there the bank here yeah and where does the Griz go into Minneapolis st.
