The Great Pyramid Mystery Has Finally Been Solved

[Music] hey guys what's up it's Charlie here and today we're going to be looking at one of the biggest mysteries in the world finally solved so we all know of the ancient pyramids of Egypt there's a lot of mystery surrounding them and scientists have debated for years about how they were made well now the most mysterious and majestic pyramid the Pyramid of Giza has finally been solved that's right we now know how the Great Pyramid of Giza was made and it turns out we've been lied to for hundreds of years before we get into it one subscribe and press the notification bell to one of the most popular wonders of the world are the pyramids of Egypt the pyramids are in various areas of Egypt including Giza well one of the three pyramids located in Giza is the Great Pyramid of Giza this is also the oldest of the seventh wonders of the ancient world the great pyramid stands at 481 feet high this means that for 40 thousand years it was the tallest structure ever made it was built as a tomb for pharaoh Khufu well today we have simple graves in the ground Pharaohs back in ancient Egypt had entire pyramids made over 2.4 million stone blocks were placed to make this pyramid and they were placed so accurately that they were watertight that's right not even a single drop of rain can pass through these gaps at the time the pyramid was made of limestone meaning it would shine like a diamond but sadly in the 13th century an earthquake caused the limestone to rot away in dismantling so now the outer layer is missing and we only have the inner layer of the limestone this is why today it looks very sandy and dusty obviously because there's so amazing scientists and archeologists have studied these a lot there are people working 24/7 365 days a year around the clock and looking at these things but one thing that hasn't been agreed on until recently is how they were built many say that back then it's simply impossible that may humans could have made these one very popular theory is that aliens came down to earth and helped humans out to make these pyramids some of you may be saying that's pure craziness but there are some things which to back this up for one the Great Pyramid is perfectly lined up with the magnetic north pole it's the building most accurately lined up with a magnetic north all out of any building on earth this is something only advanced math could calculate but back in ancient Egyptian times they didn't have advanced math skills to do this another amazing thing about the Great Pyramid which makes no sense is that the Sun sets directly in the middle of the Great Pyramid now this could be calculated using math but back then ancient Egyptians weren't even aware of the length of the year and they weren't aware of the summer solstice either also the Sun circles at the head of the Sphinx during the winter solstice another popular theory is that Noah from Noah's Ark built the pyramids that's right according to one British academic named John Taylor Noah is behind the pyramids apparently the same guy who built the ark was also the amazing mind behind the pyramids design if you add up all the sides of the Great Pyramid in inches that makes thirty six thousand five hundred and twenty-four that is the number of days in the year multiplied by one hundred of course counting the leap years but this is a crazy coincidence considering they weren't aware of the length of the year back in ancient Egyptian times another very popular for the great pyramids is that they were natural Hills in 1984 a philadelphia professor published a study suggesting this he said that the pyramids were once natural Hills those hills then served as quarries in ancient Egyptian times and from that rocks were simply excavated leaving these pyramids but considering there are ancient photos of the pyramids being built that doesn't make any sense the one thing everyone argues about however is how do they transport massive 2.5 ton blocks of limestone across 500 miles that's right the blocks making other pyramids were 2.5 tons each that would be like a group of men holding up a baby elephant not only that they had to transport it 500 miles to build the tomb well amazingly we now know the answer as to how they did this recently a man named Pierre Tala discovered a four thousand five hundred year old roll inside the pyramids they were located in a remote cave down in the pyramids and the rolls were actually written by the man who were responsible for the construction of the Great Pyramid now all of the scrolls were interesting and provided a lot of insights but the most amazing and mind-blowing scroll belonged to a man named Minnie Minnie reported directly to Khufu's half-brother who was overseeing the entire construction Munir show us to lead a group of 200 men from one end of the country to the other they were picking up and delivering goods specifically the limestone needed to build the pyramids in his scroll he details taking the limestone from a limestone mile in turin this is a town along from the River Nile he and his two hundred men then took the boat from Nile to Giza but this revelation was quite startling for many historians this is because it reveals how they actually transported all of this stone instead of using a complex rolling device or enlisting the help of aliens they used water it appears what the slaves did was they dug artificial canals to the pyramids this meant the River Nile could be extended to anywhere they wanted to go now this would have taken a long time and would have been very difficult but it could have been done and makes perfect historical sense this way they diverted water from the Nile all the way to Gaza this allowed them to transport the heavy limestone on wooden boats after reading the scrolls archaeologists dug down and underground they found evidence of canals which had been dug and then covered back up they discovered that a central canal had been made going together and this could actually transport around seven boats at the same time a little while later they discovered another piece to the puzzle that was another hieroglyph showing them using boats to transport limestone and then months later they found the final piece to their puzzle which proves this theory to be true they found traces of wood and ceremonial boats which had been used to transport the limestone so what they did was dig fake canals to transport the boats directly to the construction site it's pretty amazing that we've been lied to for so long in school you may have learnt various theories such as them hoisting them up using complicated structures or perhaps hundreds or thousands of slaves rolling limestone across the desert but now that we
