not too long ago i released the complete gaming creepypasta iceberg i covered some of the most well-known stories the good the bad and the terrible these stories were so important to shaping the type of content that i love from ben drowned in nes godzilla to sonic.exe in the perfect game these creepypastas were always a treat for me to read or listen to which is why i was very surprised i'd forgotten about the plethora of other gaming creepypastas that flooded this scene in the time when the genre was most popular that iceberg is complete but there's room for another this is the gaming creepypasta iceberg continued it'll cover all those stories that never made it into the original iceberg video there's some fan favorite sequels and excellent lesser-known stories before we start ask that you consider subscribing to the channel and leaving a comment with your favorite gaming creepypasta i'd love to see what other people have as their favorites as for me i've always loved the princess creepypasta also you can follow me on social media and support me on patreon links to everything are in the description of the video everyone welcome to the gaming creepypasta iceberg continued part one [Music] [Music] sonic.exe got a follow-up called sonic.exe round two unlike sally.exe this one was an official follow-up by the original creator gree pasta is told through the journal entries of a man named derrick green derek and his sister chelsea were both detectives that worked cases together the sibling duo got put on a strange case of people being found in their homes brain dead without an apparent cause the only similarities between the victims were the numbers that appeared on their bodies in their computers being found destroyed near their bodies the first major lead the duo found is that every computer had a copy of a file called sonic.exe on them the connections seemed very odd and besides that there were no connecting threads some of the bodies had more wounds than others but the higher the number the less wounds on the body like whatever was killing them was getting better and less messy after a while with no leads chelsea started acting weird the do usually go to work together but now she started arriving after him and leaving before him when they were home she was always cooped up in her room this went on for weeks before she didn't show up for work one day derek carefully opened his sister's room and found her lifeless body she appeared to have suffered the same fate as the victims from before only they didn't leave her in a vegetative state and just murdered her after the funeral derek was removed from the case which he argued against at the funeral derek was approached by a woman that claimed to be a member of a cult and stated that she was sorry for his loss this confused derek but he didn't make any connections at the time with more determination than ever to figure out what was going on derek decided to pursue leads online this led them to find out about the cult that had been taking up prominence lately the cult of x as they were called seem to be involved with the murders somehow this was the same cult the woman at the funeral had mentioned before being part of derek checked his sister's computer and found that it was still intact unlike most of the other victims he found notes and files all relating to sonic.exe which he also found on her computer she had been terrified of the game but didn't ever say why derek eventually started the game the game started out how sonic.exe does with sega 666 and the bloody eyed sonic in the background this time the game had three new characters to pick from these characters were shadow sally and chelsea's favorite character rouge the bat shadow was killed while in the fetal position after being chased by the demonic sonic derek decided to stop playing the game after this it was too gruesome and strange he also vowed never to play as rouge in honor of his sister an informant named cole messaged derek through skype the two were discussing the colts activities and that's when derek made the discovery that they were connected leader of the cult was in fact sonic.exe but they all referred to him as x for some reason derek would have several nightmares pertaining to the sonic.exe game he would hear the demonic voice telling him to play it would taunt him night after night until he finally booted up the game this time he played as sally and found that she was also being chased by the evil sonic she wasn't able to escape but really who could outrun sonnet her eyes were stitched shut and she was smiling at sonic.exe snapped her neck and she fell to the ground the game closed in on her face before cutting back to the character select screen derek turned the game off again he couldn't bring himself to finish the final character's story after going through more of his sister's notes he found that she mentions a plushie of song.exe that she would see out of the corner of her eye there continued talking to cole until one day the account he was talking to had changed instead of cole he was now talking to x the only message you received from the new x account was a message that stated that cole was cheating the account then went offline the final set of victims that derek was looking into were a pair of friends named tom and kyle the two had shared the game before one of them was murdered and the other tried to take himself out derek decided it was time to finally face the cult himself the creepypasta ends with derek's boss talking about how he died and that he now believed him about sonic.exe in the cult this creepypasta is a very weird follow-up to the original whereas the original felt like a true creepypasta regardless of how poorly it was written this one felt more like someone thought that a more serious tone was what was needed that's not right though the only thing that kept the original story from being the worst was how campy and fun it was the idea of an evil sonic that comes to life and kills anyone who plays his games isn't really scary but it's a fun idea jury bosses don't always need to be realistic or scary sometimes they can just be fun and a little eerie overall the song.exe concept is great it has potential but this story does not [Music] hotel mario the 13th hotel starts with the author telling us that they are dumping the source files for a game called hotel mario hotel mario was a phillips cdi game it's pretty infamous on the internet for being a bad game the author wanted the files for later use but noticed an odd section there was a file for a level called the 13th hotel this level wasn't in the original game and the number 13 seemed ominous the author excitedly started the level and the opening cutscene started it was the original intro but with mario walking alone with creepy music playing in the background luigi was nowhere to be seen the cutscene continued with mario traveling from place to place and finding no one just gruesome scenes blood was covering everything and the world seemed abandoned and broken beach appeared and disappeared in her place was a blood stain on the pipe where she once stood mario eventually found luigi but he was dead impaled on what looked like an iron sticking through him the cutscene ends with mario staring at the screen with an eye dangling from its socket and a knife in his stomach the game then shut itself down along with the emulator the author was playing it on this is one of those creepypastas that i remember really well for some reason back in 2013 when this was released it was considered one of the good creepypastas mostly due to the video that was released with it there's a youtube video that shows everything that happens in the creepypasta it's honestly not that badly edited but it's very cliche hotel mario the 13th floor is not one of the best greedy bosses but i don't think it's that bad thanks mainly to how short it is and the accompanying video [Music] the rat man creepypasta starts with the author lamenting on the nightlife of liberty city the city seems to come alive around this time and under all of that life is an intricate set of tunnels known as the subway system they also talked about how the tunnels had their own secrets there was a legend of a man that lived in the tunnels he could run faster than most and he was covered in thick fur the man had the face of a rat and this is the story of the rat man of liberty city the ratman legend made the author uncomfortable with their nightly rides on the subway a few of their friends also had to ride on the subway and one specific friend named jordy used to ride home with them one day the train broke down and left everyone on the track stranded the train was pretty close to a maintenance exit and so jordy told the conductor that he would just leave through that and catch the cab home jordy wasn't seen again until 4am where police found him walking down the street dazed and confused jordy was covered in some orange goo but otherwise seemed physically alright jordy was really quiet after that he would say a few words at work but he was mostly silent when he did speak he wouldn't talk about what happened that night he seemed to want to forget a week later while the author and jordy were alone together on a lunch break jordy spoke i saw the rat man the author wasn't sure if he'd heard him right but let him continue i fought him actually jordy's eyes fell to the floor he just came running at me and started to attack me he scratched and clawed at me what happened next the author asked i had to stab my thumb into his eye to get him to stop after that he ran off but i'm certain he didn't die jordy paused he's still out there somewhere i need to finish him off after this conversation jordy seemed to change he talked more but all he would talk about was the rat man every other sentence was about how he was going to find and finish off the rat man the ratman had become an obsession one day jordy just didn't show up to work he didn't call in sick he was just gone like he'd never existed a few of the author's co-workers got together and planned to go to his place after work the author was included in that as he was really good friends with jordy they were all worried about him but none more than the author when they arrived they found police vehicles and officers surrounding the building apparently he had run off into the tunnels and hadn't returned the apartment in three days one of the neighbors had noted that it was odd that he'd taken only a small backpack and left the last known sighting of jordy was by some of the homeless population that say they saw a troubled man running into the tunnels with a flashlight the sightings of the ratman still persist to this day but now there's also been reports of a strange light bouncing off the walls of the tunnels late into the night gta 4 like most of the gta games has loads of urban legends about their world in this case the urban legend of the ratman the ratman is the supposed entity that can be found in the subway tunnels late at night in the game this creepypasta is based on that urban legend and it's honestly not bad it covers the original urban legend and tells a very compelling story from a character in the game the story could have focused on the ratman a bit more as we only got a few passing moments with the entity the idea of attacking his friend and then turning his friend into a new urban legend was unique though i would say this one is definitely worth reading if you feel so inclined you could even take the tunnels underneath liberty city and try to find the urban legend for yourself [Music] max and jimmy is a creepy pasta about a boy named max who finally gets to stay home by himself of course he was 13 so it was about time that his parents let him enjoy himself at home he wasn't old enough to go to the camp that his brother derek attends every summer but he would be next year his parents were going to a book club but he had his suspicions they were actually just going out drinking either way it didn't matter to max since he would be allowed to order a pizza until at home all by himself after ordering the pizza mac sat on the couch and started to channel flip there wasn't really anything interesting to watch late at night he noted he decided to play his nes instead max and derek's here at game was double dragon it was still plugged into the system so that's what he decided to play double dragon is a beat-em-up game where you can play co-op with another player usually max and derek play the game together the game at first didn't start up properly title screen got all jumbled up max turned off the system and pulled out the game he blew into the cartridge and placed it back in the system he came up normally this time and he continued with the game max ran through the first level without even taking a hit which was his personal best he was moving through with almost no issues and then the doorbell rang he took a few hits and paused the game it's probably his piece at the door he got up to check and asked who it was at the door but got no answer a moment later he opened the door slightly to see it was in fact his pizza he paid the delivery driver and took his pizza inside max was a little upset that he took a few hits thanks to the doorbell but went back to playing the game while eating his dinner there was one more enemy on screen but it turned out to not be an enemy it was jimmy the character player 2 would play as for some reason jimmy was in the game and he was controlling himself max thought that he might have triggered some sort of glitch or cheat but wasn't about to reset the game he was doing better than he'd ever done before the jimmy character was playing the game so well he would come in and just destroy everyone and it even gave max enough time to eat his pizza while jimmy cleared the screen of enemies eventually the game got to a part where the players can get sucked out of the helicopter if they stand still for too long max hated this part but his brother had taught him a cheat if you pause the game for 10 seconds while the helicopter door was open it would close and you could continue the level without worry of being sucked out just as the level started the game paused but it wasn't max who paused it could it have been jimmy he seemed to be really good at double dragon maybe this was how his brother had learned the cheat the game paused itself after 10 seconds the game continued to the very end the part where usually max and derek would lose the game the ending was very hard for the two but max was ready this time the pair were doing so well landing hits and dodging damage it was the perfect boss fight the final hit was landed by max and it was over he had finally beaten double dragon he jumped up with excitement he couldn't wait to tell derek and his parents max started to wash his dishes in the sink when he saw his parents were already home which was odd since they usually stood out pretty late on book club nights it was even odder when they both walked in looking like they hadn't spent most of the night drinking max's parents walked over to him and started hugging him and comforting him he was confused not really sure what was going on finally his dad spoke max there's been an accident that's when max found out that something bad had happened to derek at camp his brother was dead and now he was alone max turned and stared at the nes this creepypasta feels like it could have been an episode of are you afraid of the dark it just has that feeling to it i like the buildup of the story even if it was a little slow now for the ending i think it was more sad than scary i felt like it's a good story still but it just wasn't really scary or campy enough for me it was overall a fine creamy pasta and worth checking out if you don't mind the sombre ending [Music] and yes godzilla was one of the best gaming creepypastas to emerge from the community its popularity can even be felt to this day it was so good that it really deserved a true follow-up nes godzilla replay is that sequel and this time it focuses on a man named carl carl found zachary's nes godzilla game on ebay and bought it up immediately he didn't believe what he said about it online but thought it could still be interesting carl talked with zachary a bit about the game and didn't really believe any of it he played along anyway as zachary seemed like a nice person carl decided to play an emulator of the game as he'd never actually played nes godzilla before and wanted to be able to notice any changes to the game carl wasn't even really that big of a fan of godzilla overall this is the biggest juxtaposition in the two stories zachary was a huge godzilla fan knowing just about everything there is to know about the series in the game while carl only knows the basics about the godzilla franchise and has never actually touched the game carl starts the game and notices a difference right away main menu only has two options available new game and password game those are the only few options available to him he presses new game and it starts the title of the first level is the earth and the game board that follows is rather small and seemingly covered in tree icons and weird red shapes the boss monster looks like a dinosaur and not like an actual godzilla villain when carl selects the first tile he sees that he's not actually playing as godzilla but instead is a random dinosaur this must take place before the first godzilla he thought as a regular dinosaur he wasn't able to shoot fire and the only attack he could really use was the claw bite the first battle is against the triceratops this fight is timed at one minute and a nuke can be seen hanging in the air behind the battlefield it seems that this is the origin story for godzilla after the fight a shortcut scene plays that shows godzilla's transformation with that level complete the game goes back to the main menu with a new option continue or password game the next world that carl played was called gelid yell it appeared to be a snow and ice-themed world the first level on the map was called tundra it was covered in snow it was actually a pretty looking level near the end of the level a snow flurry rolled in that made the game almost impossible to see carl kept moving to the right until the level ended the next world that came up was called ice cave the level is pretty self-explanatory it's an ice cave with enemies that you'd expect to be an ice-themed level there was one annoying enemy though the ice spitter they shoot ice breaths attacks at godzilla that freeze him in place carl met some unusual monsters in this world even met two that didn't attack him one of those monsters asked for his help and he blurted out sure the monster then thanked him and this was odd carl hadn't touched the game yet the monster responded to him as if he had was the game able to hear what he said could everything zachary had said be true the world ends in a big boss fight against this cyclops looking statue creature the fight was tougher than carl expected but he was holding his own when the monster picked up godzilla carl saw his chance he unleashed a heat beam attack directly into its face with that last attack the fight was over after the fight a stone door appeared on the screen it had seven empty slots on it but one started to fill with the icon of the monster that carl had just defeated i'm going to end the creepypasta here as godzilla nes replay is pretty long and i don't want this entire video to be a majority of that story it's shaping up to be a pretty good creepypasta though as it's not quite done yet the story has a lot of hype and it has a lot to live up to red is probably one of the most memorable enemies in any creepypasta let alone a gaming creepypasta i'm sure cosby daf will do a great job with this story as well on to the next one [Music] the fallout 2 secret ending creepypasta refers to a secret ending that can be found in a not updated version of fallout 2. there's an area in the game called toxic caves but it's clearly just an old vault with only three levels if the player were to kill their character in the elevator using heart pills they would awaken an entirely new area before the character wakes up brownie and noise can be heard coming from the game once the player character finally stands up the usual music will start to play only with the brownian noise still in the background this will lead to weird sound glitches as the original fallout engine likely couldn't handle two different musics playing at once the new level has a bunch of locked doors but it is advised that you do not try to lock pick these doors if you continue exploring this level you'll eventually run into a bunch of npcs standing around they appear to be only the npcs that died in the story that means that if you played as a murderer and killed as many npcs as you could this area was filled with those npcs if you killed very few then there would be far less of them you can't interact with them in any way you can't talk to them pickpocket them or harm them while you're exploring the brownian music will be rising slowly this will be persistent but it won't be noticeable at first it will eventually start to surpass the in-game music though this area appears to represent purgatory here the player can see all of the good or harm they've done to the world through their actions good people and villains will line the walls of the deceased and reflect the player's choices there's a final door the player can walk towards and in front of it is a player character model this player's character seems to represent the player character from the first fallout game if you go around the player character and enter the door the end credits will show up with pictures of real world tragedies in the background the game will then shut itself off the usual if the player instead talks to the player a character they'll be told that the player character is the player's ancestor and they are disappointed with how they turned out another thing of note is that the player character looks just like the character that you chose in the first fallout the player will turn its back on you and your character will fall to the ground in a pile of bones this is the only time this death animation has ever been used according to the author the author notes that there's a third option the doors that they warned not to try and lockpick can be blown open with explosives well only a certain one can be if you don't choose the right one then your game will crash if you choose the right one inside you'll find a 10 millimeter pistol with no ammo the only thing you can load the gun with is the easter egg found in the basement of new reno arms take the gun and fire it into the head of the fallout 1 player character and you'll get a new weird video the video is of a man playing what looks like an early version of a fallout game it's hard to tell which one but it looks similar to fallout tactics the game will then close itself and the computer will freeze up the only way to use the computer again is to restart it it's also highly recommended that you turn off any tvs in your house after doing this secret ending you'll start to notice the same brownian noise from the game will play out of the speakers of your tv only will keep getting louder the author notes that they've been hearing the noise for a while it just keeps getting louder the fallout 2 secret ending creepypasta isn't bad it sets up his premise really nicely and is told in an engaging way it really sticks to that creepy vibe that works really well with gaming creedy pastas there is a section that refers to a real life tragedy that happened during world war ii that kind of took me out of the story i know a lot of creepypastas have done this trope where they will reference something from the real world as some kind of shock factor and it hardly ever works overall it's a good story with an unusual premise i kind of like the ending where it's vague enough to be creepy it doesn't explain itself away i really like mixing the supernatural horrors in with the gaming ones [Music] earthbound trip of the ancients is a creepypasta about a teen named nix experienced with earthbound earthbound is an snes jrpg and happened to be the only game that nick found that he loved most other games just didn't catch his interest nick actually wasn't that big of a fan of video games he'd played a few at friends houses but nothing really caught his eye until one of his friends let him play earthbound at his house he absolutely loved the game nick loved the game so much that his friend let him borrow it in the console while he went on vacation nick was ecstatic and quickly raced home to continue playing the game it wasn't long before nick had finished the game and was raring to start it up again one day nick arrived home from his part-time job to find that his dad had accidentally stepped on earthbound and broke it he was devastated but more so that he would have to explain everything to his friend luckily a commercial come on tv earlier that day that has shown a local game store that could fix up game cartridges for cheap nick got on his bike and rode to the shop immediately after jotting down the address the game store was everything that a good local game shop should be it had wall-to-wall games on display there were some card games and tables to play said card games there were even some arcade machines located against one of the walls nick went to the front counter and asked to get his game repaired they took down his name and grabbed the game from him they told him they could fix it by tomorrow he could come back to pick it up then nick gave the cashier bill the money took off on his bike glad that he wouldn't have to explain to his friend what happened the next day nick went to pick up the game he was told that they never received it he wasn't on the list of game repairs and they didn't have an employee named bill working there nick was disappointed but the guy working there said he would call him if he heard anything three days later nick's dad got a phone call about the game being ready nick wrote his bike over and was shown the fixed game cartridge he didn't ask any questions about the game and just left to go play it again to make sure it worked the game appeared to be in perfect working order nick decided that he would play through it all the way through to see if it had any technical issues or anything it was at least he could do since he basically broke his friend's game the game played as you'd expect until nick got to the part of the game where you get captured by zombies the usual scene has some goofy 8-bit noises but this time nick could hear what sounded like punches and rope being tied when the black screen loaded back in ness and paula were tied together back to back they looked visibly shaken but paula looked much more scared paula then used her telekinesis to talk to jeff and tell him where to find them the game continued with jeff became a desert eagle as a weapon he was able to one-shot most enemies with the gun and the game would literally say he killed them this was definitely not supposed to be in the game [Music] jeff eventually made it to ness and paula and nick was given the option to either save them or kill them this was definitely not supposed to be in the game this wasn't the first hint that the game was wrong but definitely the most egregious after being freed ness walked over to the counter seemed to be deep in thought in the background was what sounded like a low whispering voice as the voice grew clawed hands popped out of the wall behind ness paul screamed but ness was grabbed and pulled through the wall a voice kept repeating the crips as nest was dragged away the other two could do nothing to stop it nick eventually had to fight gigas the final boss of the game he beat him without ness it was really hard but he'd done it instead of the game rewarding him he had to escape a bunch of clawed hands trying to grab jeff and paula nick didn't make it very far before being touched by a hand the game froze for 30 seconds before showing a cutscene of the two being dragged into a pit it was an awful scene to look at the next air the game was called the cave of ancients inside nest was seen chained to a wall his cage said the cage of silence inside he was unable to see hear or speak he was sentenced to live forever with pure nothingness a fate worse than death two more cages showed up one was for jeff jeff was chained to the wall and his cage name was the cage of evil he was to be pecked at by crows for all eternity paula was allowed to go free she was not to be punished and instead would have to live with the fear of knowing the fate of her friends she would be helpless to save them but she would be safe naked finished the game he couldn't believe all that had transpired but he had seen it all he went to continue the game and only found new game was available nick returned the game to his friend and asked that he'd play all the way through so he could see the craziness that he saw a few weeks later his friend told him he had completed the game as you'd expect his friend didn't see any of the stuff that nick had he was confused but ultimately expected it he told his friend that it all had been a joke and continued on with his life this is a pretty lengthy creepypasta for just being about a disturbing version of earthbound creepypasta had good build up and wasn't super cliche it didn't have much of any blood and gore [Music] i'm not sure i understand exactly how the game got to be the way it was for nick the game was taken in and repaired by some ominous figure clearly but it didn't have the same effect on his friend who played it normally after him perhaps the game was somehow altered to play that creepy version before playing the normal game from then on once you clear the weird mod you just get the normal game overall not a bad creepypasta gaining creepypastas can be a mixed bag sometimes but it's good to see some that try something new with the tried and true formula [Music] nostalgia trip is a creepy pasta that wasn't on my radar for a long time i'd heard people talk about it in some horror groups i was in but apparently it dropped right as the interesting game creepypastas had ceased leaving it as a true hidden gem in the creepypasta community nostalgia trip is about a college student named jeremy jeremy explains how college isn't all that it's cracked up to be he mostly puts that down to the fact that most of his learning is done online so he's not getting that true college experience jeremy craved a bit of his old life and so decided to go looking through a box of his old stuff the box contained many childhood items including toys books and some games one thing really caught his eye though his old nintendo ds the last time jeremy had seen this ds was when he was a child being a child of the early 2000s this was by far his most played console it was a blue dsi and he wasted no time charging it eager to have those memories flood back the dsi for some reason had no game in the slot he fumbled around his box for a minute and found a blank game cartridge it had no art nor did it have a title it was a mystery game one that he would have to start the console to find out what it was after a charge for a bit jeremy clicked on the device memory swarmed him as the ds logo flashed on screen for the faintest moment he was a child again the main menu came up with the title of the game appeared township village jeremy smiled nostalgia was the strongest it had ever been it was a game he hadn't seen or heard about in years township village is a game that closely resembles animal crossing the main difference was that you could create your own villagers rather than having different ones move in the game focused on town building and daily life stuff the most interesting part of the game to jeremy though was the ability to write down notes in an in-game journal this always made the game feel very personal he opened his journal to read what was in it and saw a weird note i played with mr oh today who was mr o jeremy continued exploring his house and found another room in his house labeled mr o's room once inside he saw a very tall npc literally so tall that he was towering over jeremy's character the man stood smiling but whenever jeremy tried talking to him nothing happened this was the oddest thing he clearly seemed important but not important enough for dialogue jeremy entered a door on the opposite wall and found himself in a bathroom there was a tall figure standing in the bathtub and when you know it it's another mr o this one talked but all he said was don't forget to wash your back presence of the character was odd he didn't seem to do anything and he didn't look like someone that jeremy would create when he went to the npc creation menu he saw that he only created mr o the outside world was more of the same it had no npcs just mr rowe and jeremy not a single soul was in sight this was so odd why would he just create one npc to inhabit his world the weirdest part though was a note that jeremy found in one of his houses they read remember jeremy it's just me and you here love mr o jeremy found some old drawings in the box that depicted himself staying near a very tall unnamed figure this appeared to be mr o again and somehow this made even less sense to him he seemed to not be able to remember this person that was very important for some reason for a part of his life jeremy decided to ask his mom who mr o was she looked taken aback for a moment before staring at the ceiling she told him that he was an imaginary friend of his that seemed odd but he did have no memory of mr o so that could be the case jeremy finds out through some digging that township village is a game that no one else seems to remember forum after forum turned up not a single soul that knew about the game it didn't appear to exist but for some reason it was right there in jeremy's dsi how could a game that doesn't exist be in his possession was it a very rare piece of gaming history one that only he could play the more digging he did the more questions he had not a single answer was gleaned from his searching it seemed like he would never get answers to where this game came from and how he got it exploring the game more jeremy was met with the weirdest interactions with mr o every time he would talk to him now mr o would just tell him that he loved him it was on repeat every single time you would see mr o this was starting to worry him jeremy had no memory of this strange tall man that said he loved him he didn't like not knowing anything about this being that night he had a nightmare of mr o gripping jeremy and trying to devour him all the while he repeated that phrase of loving jeremy he awoke in a sweat and on the verge of tears how could this be getting to him so bad this creepypasta is quite long and as much as i would love to talk more about it i think i'd rather like to make it its own video mr o is quite a domineering character and that's for good reason if you are interested in nostalgia trip getting its own video let me know in the comments section i think this would have easily gone down as a classic creepypasta if it had been released alongside the greats it's a really well written and the premise is very intriguing i suggest that everyone reads it it reads like a classic creepypasta in all the right ways [Music] glitch final days is a creepypasta about a game called glitch glitch was a browser-based mmo created by a company named tiny speck the game was popular but not popular enough to stay online and in 2012 the game would shut down all of its servers this is where the creepypasta begins the author is reminiscing on the final hours of the game being online she was distraught when the announcement for the game shutdown was posted the author hadn't been playing the game for very long but had already grown attached to it she explained that the reasoning for the shutdown seemed vague the reason being lack of interest in the game the author explains how they know why the servers actually shut down it was something they needed to jot down something they wanted to desperately forget glitch just so happened to feel very as they put it beta but the game wasn't quite complete there were strange and odd glitches all over the place that made the game feel like it was still in the beta phase there was for instance a very strange level this level was called soulless it was as it was named the level was empty devoid of life and things to do nothing could be harvested or collected in this level the author had never actually been to the world herself and only had other players accounts to go off of she had to collect screenshots and evidence of the world even existing the council level were all a little varied but most included seeing a single gravestone in the world this gravestone could be found in different spots on the map but almost every player had found it in a different position when looking for screenshots of the tombstone the author knew that she couldn't find any they also looked for clues wherever she could find them the main area would be in the game itself which offered lots of lore and mysteries the biggest clue though would actually come from twitter the tweet talked about wanting the number of giants who were essentially the gods of glitch to be a prime number they also mentioned wanting the number to be meaningful in some way which likely meant the number would be a prime number and would have to hold some sort of cultural significance that is the line of thinking the author went with the game had 11 giants which is a prime number but 11 didn't seem to hold any significance this could mean that there's an unknown giant or two in the game later in the investigation the author found a new shrine that she'd somehow missed shrines were places where you could leave offerings to the giants to earn favor this shrine looked dull in comparison to the others like it really lacked polish the author during this recounting also started to drink her retelling seems to shift here was more and more grammatical errors there's also a deviation in writing style every time the author would give an offering to the giants they seem to only barely give anything in return this meant that she had to donate a lot more before anything even happened something did happen though the music quiet at first started to get louder and louder the face of the final giant appeared on screen all the giants looked like something straight out of the nightmares of hp lovecraft but this one was different the last giant had the literal face of death not the grim reaper but of something dying the face was rotten and decaying with bugs slithering all over it the eyes were bulging and the face had six mouths the author noticed that she could hear whispers coming from her computer's speakers they were unintelligible at first but slowly started to understand what they were saying [Music] the whispers were telling her about every bad thing she'd ever done they whispered some of her darkest secrets things that no one knew things that she barely remembered the voice continued telling her how bad of a person she was showing every time she'd wronged someone every date she'd canceled for selfish reasons the author's head was swimming until she finally blacked out she awoke to an error message on screen she'd been disconnected of course she had that was the last day the server was up the author found that she had an unusual form of arrhythmia it wasn't life ending and she was glad that was all that happened she got off easy she thought even though it was all over she can sometimes see the face of the giant when she closes her eyes and finally hears the music glitch final days is a pretty decent creepy pasta it tells its story very well with loads of detail feels like i'm experiencing the end with the author i have no attachment to the glitch game nor did i ever play it when it was available so being able to partially experience the game to the author's story was cool the ending is kind of divisive but i actually think it's pretty creepy it's not scary per se but creepy for sure the idea of a game knowing everything about you has always been an interesting plot point at least to me well let's move on to the next one [Music] a link to your past is a creepypasta about a 14 year old named alexander alexander now lives with his grandparents after the death of his family he lost his mom dad brother and sister alex couldn't help dwelling on the pass or he'd start crying again so he decided to play some games alex loved playing game hacks especially for the legend of zelda games he went to his favorite website for downloading rom hacks and began searching alex saw hack called a link to your past it was a link to the past hack perfect for him it was even created by one of his favorite rom hackers on the site he played most of his hacks already and was a huge fan alex decided he would look into the game description to see what it was about there was a section that said dedicated to alexander that caught him off guard they must have meant another alexander it's a somewhat common name [Music] alex continued with the download the game ran pretty normally as in like the actual unmodded game everything played out the way the actual game did and this upset alex he was expecting a new storyline and the same level of quality that he got with the creator's other rom hacks the only real difference was that the npcs all referred to him as alexander for some reason after completing the third boss alex noticed some weird hylian symbols on a wall he used an in-game item to translate what they said a seemingly indestructible obstruction along the way can easily be removed by making good use of the combination between speed and power alex didn't know what this meant but kept it in the back of his mind on his way to the palace of darkness alex noticed a rock that was blocking a side path he tried to pick it up but found that it just wouldn't budge he tried running into it with the pegasus boots and even fired a few arrows at it but got nothing that's when alex remembered the strange text on the wall he tried to use the boots then the mitts but it didn't move he did the reverse and still nothing happened finally he ran at the rock and just before hitting it used the mitts and that surprisingly worked the new path took him to a large open field surrounded by trees in the center of the field said a girl with long blonde hair before alex could start to approach her link had already started running in her direction link went through his sword and continued towards her right as he was about to slash at her the screen cut to black a loud scream rang out and then silence link then would go on to do the same to a boy in an open field the same slash and cut to black he would even poison a character's chocolate milk it appeared link was killing those people for some reason but the bigger mystery is why the characters look so familiar to alex finally alex entered the chamber of the final boss and saw a character that looked just like his mother standing there he tried to talk to her but all she said was that he was scaring her alex knew that he had to kill his own mother here that realization haunted him but he did so driven by curiosity a cutscene played out where he killed her with his sword it was more visual and graphic than the others after the game had ended alex went back to where he got the game to check the game's description he messaged the rom hack creator with one word why he quickly got a response that read a link to your past with a name attached mathiest smith the name of his dead brother let's unpack this one real quick the story is fun and reminds me a lot of the early gaming creepypastas with a few less cliches the idea of the author's dead brother creating a game to have him kill his own dead family was a little hard to follow here's my takeaway alex killed his family i'm not sure how but he did the spirit of his dead brother then made this game that would have him killing his family again maybe to relive his sins or maybe because he didn't know maybe alex killed them by accident that's the only way i can rationalize the ending it seems like it might need to explain a bit more of what's going on even with that i did enjoy the story there's some creepypastas that feel nostalgic even if i don't actually remember reading it years ago and this is one of those anyway let's go to the next one [Music] zombie on two spectrion is a sequel to zombrion in zombrian eevee evolved into a zombie type pokemon in the sequel evie would evolve into a ghost type pokemon the story starts with a creepypasta fan saying how she loved the first zombie on story decided to try it for herself she was surprised when it actually worked and she was able to get his ombre on the author decided that she would have to try and get the ghost eeveelution this required a copy of the beta of pokemon gold after getting the beta she got the special evolution item which is called pokey euthanasia this was already incredibly dark as euthanizing was usually what you did to old or sick animals usually pets this item wouldn't work on eevee at all which led the authors to traveling to lavender town once inside lavender town the author continued to the pokemon graveyard blue the rival of red in the previous pokemon games walked up and greeted the author he would then go on to explain the pokey euthanasia was meant for pokemon who couldn't be saved like his radicate he also tried in vain to get his evie to faint due to a critical hit like blue it said but found she couldn't fed up and frustrated she yelled at her pc while trying to use it on evie anyway [Music] the text box appeared and asked if the author truly meant to use this item on her still living evie she clicked yes and the characters sprayed their eevee evie immediately fell to zero hp and then died they did evie sat in the player's party but couldn't do anything after a while trying to figure out how he'd become a spectron he also decided to go back to lavender town to put her pokemon to rest the author later pokemon to rest on the tower and as she was leaving saw a sprite fly over to them spectrogram has joined your party a message said on screen so it did work the author then got into a battle with blue who also caught a ghost pokemon during the battle spectrion refused to fight for the author instead let her get hit by the shadow ball attack twice and die the game then picked up with the author now playing as spectrion killed off the player's remaining pokemon and turned them all into ghosts spectron would also challenge any trainers that saw and kill them afterwards this leads to spectrion deciding that humans don't deserve life and trying to wipe them all out no pokemon or trainer could stand against spectrion they'd become a vengeful god and no one could stop it spectron then began to turn the world into nothing but ghosts the creepypasta ends with the authors saying how they're going to try and do this again but in crystal version this creepypasta isn't one that i actually like too much it falls pretty closely to the original but then balloons into something a little too over the top the world is consumed by a spectron a ghost eevee that's kind of interesting for a plot but then everyone just bows to this monster and it just doesn't feel scary or creepy it feels like a middle story before a finale which might have been the intention to my knowledge though there isn't a zombie on three so it ends up feeling like it needs a little more this creepypasta might interest some but for most people it won't be anything special on to the next one [Music] zelda 3 prototype is a creepypasta about an unnamed author who is searching for a copy of the legend of zelda for nes his plan was to make a harmonica out of a broken nes cartridge specifically zelda the game shop owner named thomas said they didn't currently have any zelda copies for the nes the author understood and was ready to walk away and purchase one from ebay before thomas said something actually thomas started we do have something the author looked on as thomas pulled the smooth cartridge out of the back room it was a famicom cartridge it looked like it was modified to be able to run on the nes though you also thought about it for a moment before buying it off him for 15 a week later while the author was waiting for his pc to update he decided to finally try his new purchase he pulled the game out of its bag and plugged it into the nes it worked and the title screen displayed japanese text along the side there was one set of text in the top right corner that was in english though zelda 3 that couldn't be there wasn't a zelda 3. had he found a prototype for the game the author finally got the game started and loaded into what looked like zelda one it was a top down angle and had link standing in a room with a fireplace above him on the right side of the room was a chest the author walked over to the chest and pulled out a shield the usual item-acquired scene played but with no music actually there wasn't any sound at all it seemed maybe the prototype didn't have any the author left the house and followed a path south and saw an old man sitting next to a water fountain when he talked to him all he got was japanese text which is what he should have expected the author decided to move past him and continue down the path he found himself leaving the town and immediately found a set of stairs at the bottom of a dead looking tree he approached it and decided to explore the sound effect for descending stairs played this confused the author who thought that the game was completely silent it seemed some audio was put in the game the screen went black for a moment before tech started to scroll across it along with the text with some ominous sounding music it was a strange mix but he thought it was most likely just introducing the dungeon the level loaded in and only link plus his health bar could be seen the room was dark and clearly needed a light source the music had faded out but in its place was a weird wailing sound at first just once but then it happened again and again in a cycle it seemed the author explored the room but couldn't find a switch every time you'd run into a wall another wailing sound would play outside of the cycle this was creeping him out as it was the only audio playing eventually the author got to a part of the dark room where he couldn't move any further that's when a white hand popped out and grabbed link this jump scared the author who wasn't expecting a wall master to grab him it made sense though as a way of kicking the player out of the area if they got stuck in the dark the wall master hadn't kicked link out of the dungeon though it actually killed him this put the author back at the beginning of the game he had lost his shield though so he had to go back to the chest to grab it he opened the chest and received a sword this time the author followed a different path this time and found that an npc was blocking the way he decided he would swing on the nbc and actually killed the man he fell to the floor and was greyed out the way was now clear but the author thought this was very dark for zelda game even so he decided to continue forward the next area was a dark forest the trees seemed to encroach on all sides the author continued down the only path he could spider enemies had popped out of the trees but they weren't that hard to deal with while continuing down the path the author saw another spider pop out too close for him to react with his sword and he had to run away just as he turned to fight the spider a white hand popped out of the tree and grabbed it with a whale the hand slowly crept back towards the trees the author quickly continued down the path the fear of a wall crawler popping out of the trees pushing him forward it wasn't much long after that another wall master popped out at the player the author started to mash the b button and attack it he eventually killed it but wasn't sure how many hits it had taken since he was mashing the b button pretty quickly continued to do so even after it died continuing south the altar found a single candle sitting on a tree stump he walked over and grabbed it and just as he did the stairs sound played again link was teleported back to the start of the forest the npc's body from before was now missing which bothered the author but he kept moving forward the old man npc was also now gone grabbing the candle must have triggered some event he thought the candle would most likely be used as a light source back at the level that he'd found before he walked back to the creepy tree and approached the stairs doing so started the same tech scroll as before the screen loaded back in and the room was completely black link held the candle in his hand but he had to put away his sword to do so the wailing noises continued as they had before the author lit the candle and the wailing sound started to repeat on a loop the room lit up and the walls were covered in ghastly white bodies they all wailed in an out of order unison and all turned to stare at length they all started to reach their hands towards him and continued their awful whales a wallmaster shot of the wall and grabbed link again before the author could react and pulled him slowly towards the massive bodies they stopped wailing and flailing for a moment they all just stared as link was pulled in the author shut off the console and removed the game immediately he had seen enough he got up and walked into his very well-lit kitchen to catch his breath he started to collect himself just as he saw something white move just out of the corner of his eye that's zelda 3 prototype i actually think it's a pretty good creepypasta it tells a really engaging story that actually is pretty creepy he also described the world of his game perfectly i thought and didn't over explain anything i usually like endings like this it reminds me of the ending of jvk1166z.esp in that creepypasta the creature from the game was tapping on the window of the man who was exploring the world of the game this time appears something from the game has come after him normally these endings had leave me with a bit of a creeped out vibe which is exactly what i want for this story the whole room description and the way the author had to navigate the world of the game was already perfectly creepy so the ending didn't really feel like it added much it's not a bad ending by any means it serves its purpose well enough i highly recommend this creepypasta anyone that wants to study how a simple premise can make a really good creepypasta [Music] tara elaine released is a very poca pasta creamy pasta the main character is a boy named ben that is neglected by his family his mom dad and older brother ben really liked pokemon but felt awkward going back to the first game since he read too many pokemon creedy pastas people talked about their disturbing experiences revisiting the games after so many years of course those were just stories so he should be fine ben started up pokemon red his favorite of the series he decided to start a new game he named himself red and his rival blue the first weird thing that happened was when he tried to enter the tall grass when he did so the game flashed for a moment before freezing the game might have some issues from its age he took it out and examined the cartridge before inserting it and starting it up since it didn't save he would have to start a new game he decided to change the names of the characters and started his adventure ben made it most the way through the game before it flashed again this time it flashed repeatedly before the screen stayed white another strange glitch he thought as he turned off the console he had to go downstairs for dinner anyway ben and his family were eating dinner when his dad said he had to go into work as soon as he left his mom took off to go clubbing this left just ben and his brother the brother also decided he would go partying with some friends leaving ben all alone at home ben was kind of used to this his family never really paid much attention to him his dad was kind of a workaholic and his mom seemed to be stuck in her younger days often drinking and not attending to her two children his older brother was constantly leaving his brother alone when it was just the two of them ben was a pretty lonely kid but he could at least play red until someone came home ben started up the game again and noticed something odd was happening his game file was gone and needed to start over again this is most likely due to the internal battery having an issue but he didn't know that the game started immediately but it was different this time he didn't get the chance to name his rival which was odd the name blue was automatically selected this was too strange but maybe it somehow carried it over from his previous game ben then entered the tall grass like he was supposed to and immediately got into a battle with blue his rival ben sent out a charmander named maria which he didn't remember picking or naming battle continued with blue talking instead of sending out his own pokemon maria was killed in one attack the next pokemon was sent out it was a squirtle named seth his father the same thing happened in his final pokemon was sent out a pidgey with his brother's name which met the same fate ben was then attacked directly by blue and the game froze ben shut off the console and decided that he was done with it he tossed it out the window just as a truck drove by the truck crushed the console in the game under its wheels without even stopping the next morning ben woke to find his home was completely empty no one had come home it was like they had never existed after walking outside to see if either cars had returned ben was approached by a neighbor the neighbor informed ben that she was sorry for his loss and hugged him his parents and brother had all met freak accidents the night prior it was such a shock to him that he just froze up as he turned to walk back towards his house he saw three gravestones on his lawn he didn't need to do much detective work to know what was going on the soft music of pallet town echoed in his ears along with taunting words from blue carolina released is a very poorly written greedy vasna it's probably one of the ones that eventually killed off the interest in gaming creepypasta altogether this story does the cardinal sin of mentioning that the author loves creedypastas which destroys immersion the story feels like many other pokepastas as they're called where it tries to do all the tropes of its peers story doesn't really follow any logical progression either just sort of starting different plot threads when it feels like it all that said i actually like it i like it for the wrong reasons though i like it because the author is clearly a fan of the genre and just wants to share their story with the community even if it needs to be checked for grammatical errors and probably needs to be thought of some more it shows an interest in the genre i wouldn't say this one's worth reading unless you're like me and love reading all the gaming creepypastas you can get your hands on these are some of the most entertaining stories in the creepypasta genre i will say though this one wasn't creepy in the least and with that let's move on [Music] honey pop newly singles greedy pasta based around the game honey pop honey pop is a match 3 dating sim that was very popular for a minute when it first released newly single tells the story of a man named jeff who likes to play video games and is a bit of a drinker one day jeff received a message from a man named kevin kevin was a friend of his and also a friend of his late wife the message contained some cracked games that he could play the games included counter-strike dead island goat simulator and finally a game called honey pop the others you'd heard of before but not honey pop jeff thought this was an odd but kind gesture kevin had been a good friend to his wife and the last time they spoke was at the funeral they'd exchanged condolences but not much more than that this creepypasta is actually told in two parts one through an email from kevin where he explains exactly what happened to the wife and one of jeff explaining the mechanics of honey pop kevin explains that he had been seeing his wife behind jeff's back not like he could notice when he was drunk most of the time he probably hadn't even noticed how much he wasn't doing for his late wife jeff on the other hand was talking about how the game worked honey pop had a system where you could flirt with the girls and take them on dates the dates would be played as a match 3 game the game was pretty much what you'd expect you could take the girls to different date locations and try to woo them once you've gotten close enough to them you could sleep with the girls continuing the email from kevin he goes on to explain that the initial readings between him and jeff's late wife had started out as an affair but it turned to a full-blown romance she was even planning to leave him when she got the chance kevin talked about how aaron the name of the late wife was guilty about it all but still saw something in jeff kevin wanted nothing more than to make her happy and yet she stuck around with jeff jeff continued on with the game he had actually become slightly addicted he even took a sick day off work so we could play it some more it felt like it was helping his grief in a way at one point in the game a new girl had appeared one without a name she was grayed out but she was there he couldn't figure out how to unlock her and the game didn't seem to give any hints kevin's email started to shift a bit he talked about the car accident the one that took aaron's life jeff had been driving that night drunk and had run them off the road jeff was unconscious but alive but his wife wasn't so lucky aaron had been pinned and needed help she tried to wake her husband but it was no use he was out cold thanks in part to the accident and the booze she had to live out the rest of her life in that car next to the man she didn't love anymore and live with the consequences of his actions jeff finally unlocked the new girl she happened to look just like his late wife aaron same hair color and body shape it took him a moment to realize that it was her as he started the conversation with her her name appeared and he was right jeff didn't understand what was happening but continued with the game anyway took his wife on dates and tried to talk to her she just looked upset the whole time she took the gifts and even went on a night date with him it was time for jeff to take her home jeff started the game but didn't even have to play every shape was already matched and the game slowly started to play itself with each second his wife looked more and more distraught the scene changed to his wife looking pale and afraid as the game continued his wife eventually started to look bruised and a centrical of bloodstream down her face jeff was horrified but kept looking the end of kevin's message said that he was a decent artist and his little cousin knew a little thing or two about game modding he wished him a happy rest of his life and that everything would be clear by the end of this message jeff couldn't stop playing the game eventually the level was complete and the screen faded to black this image flashed on screen and jeff started to vomit at his computer desk the image was aaron moments after the car crash this creepypasta is kind of a surprise it's not about a haunted game in any way and is more just looking into the tragic events that connect our two narrators the story is more sad than scary and it makes me not really like either character jeff is an alcoholic doesn't see that he has a problem even though his drinking led to the death of his wife he doesn't care and continues on kevin on the other hand made a game to teach jeff a lesson it more so comes off as being malicious but jeff definitely needs a wakeup call the creepypasta overall is pretty good it's written well the art that was included was good and it told a complete story i would recommend this one to anyone who hasn't read it in full yet thanks everyone for watching the video and getting to the end i want to thank my patreon supporters bloa nose and nora kingsley you two helped to increase the quality of the content and help me working on the channel this has been part one of the gaming creepypasta iceberg continued there's much more to follow as i have barely scratched the surface tune in for part two soon i hope you all have a wonderful night [Music] you
