celebration they had excited something among the jews they began to say saul the king of the land had killed a thousand but the young unknown immature son of jesse david the newcomer killed ten thousand they compared the two the men seated on the throne and the newcomer this brought jealousy in the heart of the king who began a quest to kill the young boy because of the anointing of god bible scholar will tell you that uh running for his life he found himself in a very compromising situation he had to find refuge in the land of the philistine but he knew that if the philistine will see him they will seize him and kill him because this man brought defeat and shame to them it is a cement that killed goliath who now has to go to the very same people he defeated yesterday to find praise him but can you praise him in darker days can you praise him when it seems like all hope is gone can you praise him when when you open your eyes and look left and right nothing seems to be good can you still praise him somebody help me say the healer the healer it's not just sanctification the healer is the sacrifice of praise you see when when you praise him but you have literally no reason indicating good around you with tears running down your cheeks with bad news right at your back feeling alone and nobody caring you lift your hand and say i'll praise you anyway i have no food but i'll praise you i don't know where my next meal will come from but i'll praise you anyway i just came from the doctor's room and he told me that the situation is worse i will praise you anyway the out of this you will come out of this now as we read verse 15 and 16 we begin to see the commitment of god in his character and operation the psalm in verse 15 and 16 reveals to us what god does but before attach into it allow me to go back from verse 1 giving us a clear picture of the entirety of what david wrote he began by saying i will bless the lord at all times he didn't say i'll bless the lord sometimes you see at all times he was in a very complicated situation but he made a conscious decision that even in this difficult time i will still bless the lord i will bless the lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth i will not stop because situations have changed i will continually praise him my soul shall make its boast in the lord the ambush shall hear of it and be glad my soul shall make it boast in the lord i may not bust over my cars i may not burst over my spouse i may no longer boast over what i have achieved yesterday my trough is gone my reputation has been ruined but my soul will make it boast in the lord oh magnify the lord with me let us exalt his name together magnify is to make him appear greater bigger because i may go through this but what i'm going through has not defeated my god my god is bigger than what i'm going through my god is strong he is seated upon his throne he is yahweh he's the uncreated creator he's a magnified lord something that he currently does not have here he says i thought the lord the bible says seek me and you'll find me and is reporting victory before victory manifested his reporting victory he said i stopped the lord and he heard me one saying this he's in a very awkward situation he still didn't have money he was not king yet life was bad but he is already saying i thought the lord and he heard me and he carries on and said and it delivered me from all my fears meaning that god has done the work that i needed to be done inside amen because what eats you inside will devour you outside what beats you inside will not destroy you outside you see it delivered me from my fears i was afraid what if this is all that there is what if i do not rise again what if i did not get out of this situation what if this is the end of me is it all those fears that i had he delivered me may the lord god deliver you from all the fears the enemy has thrown your way he delivered me from all my fears and it says they looked to him and were radiant and the faces were not ashamed there will be no shame in your life in the name of jesus it doesn't matter how many people stand against you i speak as
