THE ERGO SUM EXOTIC SWORD! A HUGE SECRET UNCOVERED! - Destiny 2: The Final Shape

I got to give kudos the Bungie if this comes true I I just have to give it there has been this big theory that I'm going to talk to you guys about in this video about a certain exotic that will be coming in the final shape and how it was foreshadowed for almost basically 5 years if you think about it and it looks like it will be coming true and it will be a sick exotic for us Guardians to use in less than a week so hopefully you guys do enjoy and other than that let's get right into it so if you guys don't know Bungie is that type of company that usually hints at something that comes out in the far future hence like Destiny 2 the finale with the ending cut scene with the pyramid chips obviously we knew that this was going to be the big bad and at the time it was likely going to be be the big bad for Destiny 3 but obviously that changed and now we are facing the witness finally in the final shape and with those things that Bungie tried to hint us with at the end of a campaign or a secret mission or just a simple lore dialogue it's can be subject to change obviously if the direction of the narrative or the direction of what they want to put in the game can is up to them but usually there are some things that they try to keep secret and hidden for a really long time and either don't go back into it and finish it off or that they actually do finish it off and in like sort of the finale of something else later on like with the Last Wish and The Forsaken Destiny DLC we saw Riven cast all the wishes basically well we were casting all the wishes and we didn't know if there was going to be a final wish to end the curse on the dreaming City obviously that didn't happen but we found out that there was a Last Wish in Season of the Witch which was only a couple months ago and then all of the season was using that 15th wish to get Crow into the portal which we would follow him into so there's certain little secrets there and there that Bungie sort of tease us with okay rrick what are you trying to get at well a long time ago after season of the undying season of the Dawn this was sort of the first year we saw Seasons really take a stand in Destiny we saw ourselves go back to Mercury in the help of trying to you know deal with the cabal like usual those those weirdos and we were going through sort of different timelines of mercury and we actually were able to find St 14 and it was pretty cool this sundow machine that everybody really didn't really care about but it was this thing that would get us from one location in time to another location in time and it basically sort of I don't know how to explain it I don't want to get the lore guys mad at me for this but it's sort of combined with the quarters of time in some way I don't really know but the quarters of time obviously lets you travel in different parts of Mercury from different timelines and you would able to see where I'm getting at with this and we were able to of course through only two or 3 weeks be able to find same 14 this was a really big character in the lore and it was an awesome time to have this because no one was actually expecting this until like a week before the trailer came out when they released the trailer and it was pretty sick so to have same 14 come back and then for us to go get them and rescue them and then overall the seasonal weapons the Exotic Quest really cool and in particular I want to talk about the way of getting that weapon you just saw the Bastion and the quest behind it now there's been certain steps that were just going to not you know just been sort of like a nameless sort of quest to kill get kills and all that type of crap and after the qu after some steps you would enter into the quarters of time and follow into a certain puzzle that at the time the community was you know going and doing and there was no sort of guideline on how to do the quarters of time it was just go through one room to another room with six gateways in that room so the entire Community for straight days I remember I was watching Scaro on this was literally going in and trying to find what the end piece of this huge puzzle was the whole Community was going crazy for it and it was again really awesome to have a Cool Secret and be able to do all of that fun stuff because again we didn't know it was going to get us we didn't know if Bastion was going to be what was awarded we didn't know if there was going to be some other secret exotic that was going to break the game we didn't know what we were going to get we didn't know what it was and at the end of it we of course obviously got Bastion but one of the big things that we did get was a memory from s 14 in particular on a grave of a guardian with a sword on top of it it and this was actually our guardian's grave yes our funeral from apparently our final confrontation with someone that we were likely going to die to which was pretty crazy cuz at the time we were like M we were like the huge powerful you know Guardians during the time of shadowkeep if you know what I'm saying so to he us that we were going to die it was pretty crazy and no one would have believed that we would die and one of the big things was is that there was an exotic sword with a goat attack to the bottom of it this exotic sword got a lot of attention at the time and we thought we were going to get it no we got the Bastion in a stupid fuse core instead and the sword was left on our grave and apparently that was it that was all it was and it was just stuck there with the grave and St 14 did say that the Exotic sword was from one of his collections but we used it when facing against our final confrontation and he asked for like the travel to help us and of course he talked about all of our achievements now again this is pretty big so obviously with the final shape coming out a lot of people have been getting a lot of theories about what the campaign's going to be like and it looks like the campaign's going to answer a lot of questions and be one of the most emotional and me memorable campaigns out there being the end of the light and dark Saga and a huge thing that's going around is that we are likely going to die as Guardians in the campaign in some way and then come back in some other way and one of the big things was is that with the final shape is that they revealed in the recent gameplay and they revealed in the recent newsletters that the new exotic sword called the ergo sum is going to be coming out in the final shape and this is for translation if you're wondering what Ergo Su means it means I am in Latin which is really interesting if you see what I'm getting here so in theory again this is a hypothetical believe me it's hypothetical because it's hypothetical but how cool would it be if the Ergo Su exotic sword is the sword I'm you're seeing in gameplay of a quarters of time activity from 2019 because obviously if we were going to somewhat die if someone is going to stand by that we were going to die from who probably likely the dread and more likely the witness after we've seen what he been doing to people and and and and little kids in the last City with freezing them in time and destroying them and all that type of stuff and blowing up Earth and hurting iora well that Vex kind of hurt iora but even then besides that the witness is menacing and if he's going to you know be able to corrupt zala from a memory about his dead wife then what's going to stop him from you know moving his hand and then we're chopped in half and our ghost is gone then what I could likely see what would be really cool is that our ghost sacrificed himself in some way I don't know but made it sure that the sword would work cuz it looks like the ghost was attached to the sword but he's dead or something it doesn't look like the the ghost is activated again I don't know it's a grave of some kind and I think it would be really cool if the ghost gave his life for a sword that would be able to be able to defeat the witness but in a final confrontation I would see us die and then where would we go again it's too hard to say cuz I don't know as much as B and um evade and everybody but looking at that Al together we see that we are very acute to this position where we would be able to get a sword of this magnitude if we die or when we die therefore hence I think Bungie was having this planned and was going to release it in the final shape or lightfall at the time because again Shadow keep was the first expansion to start off the final shape story if you will the end the getting to sort of the dark area of this story and with the final shape ending a lot of you know call backs and things should be concluded hence the sword ergo sum
