it's a week before Christmas you wake up to the sounds of familiar Christmas songs coming from your living room and quickly hop onto your family computer to open today's Advent calendar from your favorite game Star Stable they have provided you with a new redeem code for a hundred star coins in today's Advent calendar reward and you rush to redeem it on their website now in the process of logging on you find yourself in Steve's Arena the same place you left off when you logged off last night area covered in snow the barn decorated in red and blue lights still deciding on what you should spend with your 100 star coin gift you decide to complete some festive quests with the residents of jorvik riding over to the mayor of silverglade and helping him chop down the perfect Christmas tree for the Village Square helping Felix set up a treasure hunt in the silver Glade Castle writing over to yarlaheim to help Santa out riding in the sleigh and delivering presents through the chimneys of the residents in yorlheim helping Elizabeth make candy canes at her house building a snowman using the snow from dinosaur valley once all is completed the tree is nearly decorated and you are greeted by the orange cat this time in a Santa hat telling you to wait for the adventure to continue next Wednesday snow begins to settle outside your window the holidays have truly begun [Music] welcome to the events documentary events are truly one of the most well-anticipated and exciting updates in a star stable year Star Stable is a game that used to be well represented with many different events that were usually inspired by real life holidays unfortunately in the game's 12th year of existence it seems as if these events are being left behind every year and players are worrying that their favorite celebration will be on the chopping block star stable as a company sometimes gives a notice in an update article social media post or blog entry that these events will not be celebrated this year and sometimes they just go completely silent about it leaving The Players to worry about whether or not they have a reason to log on in the following weeks we have many to cover and we will be going in chronological order this is the end of events [Music] January January would usually host the aftermath of the Christmas events players who were away on holiday with their families would spend January catching up on Christmas quests and getting one last week of that beautiful beautiful snow January introduces a new year a clean slate to all and is usually quite a refreshing and exciting time the following events that were hosted in January would be New Year's the New Year celebration began on December 26 2012 and it introduced a brand new function where players would buy fireworks to launch with their friends for their first ever New Year celebration outside of silverglade Village was the only area to launch Fireworks off at you could buy various types of fireworks to experiment with from different colors to different Flair patterns in 2013 they expanded to more areas such as Fort Pinta and Moreland Arena to launch fireworks they also introduced a limited edition New Year store in 2013 selling various dresses which still remained the cutest clothes in Star Stable history towards the end of 2017 with the launch of the infamous Christmas Village Star Stable thought it would be a good idea to move the New Year's celebration to the latest festive area this meant removing all of the firework launch expanses spread out across various locations on the map indefinitely as well as moving the decorations and shops to the Christmas Village to this day New Year's is still celebrated at the Christmas Village and has gotten some Renovations done to the surrounding area February going into the second month of the year we celebrate a holiday on Star Stable that has had many makeovers in its history the notorious Valentine's Day Celebrations first debuted in Star Stable online on February 13 2013. Derek the postman in silverglade Village would be at the center of the limited time Quests for Valentine's Day in turmoil about how he has lost the townspeople's Valentine's letters you would have to run across silverglade Village looking for 10 different letters all in random locations once you have gathered all of the letters Derek would task you with delivering them to the recipients because apparently he has forgotten what his job is moving into 2014 the same limited time quests were reintroduced as well as a new Valentine shop with the cutest gear 2015 Valentine's update was when we really started to see Star Stable take the celebrations up a level they introduced two new quest lines involving Catherine the baker in yarlaheim and Donald the Taylor in silverglade village both of these characters have been renamed to avoid confusion to other pre-existing characters with the same name but I don't care enough to remember their new names in this 2015 Valentine's week we received three new horse colors it was an overall action-packed update in their words I remember this week fondly and without a doubt it lived up to the hype we also received two 200 Freestar coin codes which I immediately spent on teddy bears speaking of teddy bears I believe they were first introduced in the new 2015 exclusive quest with Donald the Taylor where he asked you to help make the adorable little bears one week after this update Star Stable decided to continue the Valentine's fun for another week they introduced the teddy bear shop as well as brought back the classic Derrick Valentine's Day questline 2016 did not necessarily introduce anything new onto the lovey-dovey holiday but instead introduced a feature that has nothing to do with the holiday but ultimately changed the course of history for the dressage community the writing Hall stands is where things take a turn for the worse for our beloved holiday in 2017 Cersei will started to change the perception of a holiday and rather label elements as quote-unquote friendship a race for friends the friendliest holiday S I mean I get it they don't want to enable romance in a kid's game but looking at Star stable's history whenever they try to twist The Narrative on holidays they tend to miss the Mark if you know what I mean the Catherine quest line came back and so did Donald's Quest all of the shops came back and the only new addition was the Valentine's Day race at jorvik Stables it was such a cute race but at the same time very infuriating 2018 did not bring anything new to the table the only thing to report is that they added more Valentine's Day clothes to the shop that hinted to us that Star Stable was going to start inflating their half-baked clothes to unjustifiable prices 2019 had nothing to report either only new attack you could try to grind for by doing the Valentine's race multiple times but they did release their Generation 3 jorvik warmblood on the same day 2020 marked the end of an era nothing new had been added for this year's final celebration of I mean I mean galentine's day they did not bring back the old quest with Derek Donald or Catherine the only thing to make a return was developed galentine's race sorry and the shops we did not know that this was to be the final Valentine's Day celebration the shops did make a final return in 2021 but the map wasn't even decorated there was no quests and no race Valentine's Day had died on Star Stable online it has been two to three years with no celebration of this holiday March no holidays were celebrated in March up until 2016 when Cersei was introduced the Fortuna Festival a St Patrick's Day themed event with a variety of activities to participate in the first week of this event introduced Sean the leprechaun a greedy little Gremlin who will suck the will to live out of you and make you gamble with everything you love Star Stable online introduced a new festive game mechanic where various rainbows would pop up all across the map on the hour and you and your friends would ride to those locations to dig for gold digging for gold would include a new game mechanic that might have added a bit of challenge to the ordinary horse game a mini game where you would have to hit a certain tick on time once you have completed the mini game you would be rewarded with gold that you could redeem with Sean for prizes Sean would randomly generate a response to whether your gold was quote unquote good gold or bad gold would equal a nice reward maybe some tack or clothes or even better the saddle bag accessory that gold would equal oranges or other various useless fruits week two of this newly introduced event in 2016 would include an actual parade it ran from the beginning of Moreland to I believe four Pinta Beach and would end with a dance party with all the players who would follow the parade as well as NPCs 2017 would reintroduce this event with the first week being the rainbow mini game with Sean and then the second week would follow with the bright and beautiful parade the second week of 2017 for tuna Festival update marks a very very awful day in Star Stable history this is the day that Star Stable Forest our beloved Rufus to retire you will never forget you Rufus in March of 2018 the Fortuna Festival would return this time all of the festivities were combined into one week and did not necessarily introduce anything new to this very green holiday Star Stable decided in 2019 that they would combine the rainbow festival with the Fortuna Festival in the same update although it really wasn't the Fortuna Festival only Sean made return I don't think the parades were hosted this year they kind of erased all of the festival's origins and rather cherry-picked the rainbow bit to promote their new Rainbow Festival okay just a quick editing um side note apparently you couldn't go into the cloud Kingdom on Spirit you could go into the cloud Kingdom on any other horse other than spirit and I'm just like imagining what Spirit did to be banned from the cloud Kingdom like that I don't 2019 was the last known time that Sean was seen the Fortuna Festival the parade the rainbows and everything included has not been celebrated since April while the April showers bring May flowers the Easter celebrations were to kick off for the first time on March 27 2013 in yorvik bit early for Easter celebrations yes if only we knew four days later that we would be getting an even wackier event to participate in on March 31st 2013 Players across the globe fell asleep that night wondering what the new month would bring and what they could discover on their beloved horse game only to wake up on April 1st and find everyone running around with colorful horses on April 1st 2013 we celebrated April Fool's Day for the first time probably one of the craziest events in Star Stable history a day to look forward to every year Star Stable never announced in a news article that April Fool's Day was to be celebrated it was always a surprise so if you are a new player and woke up to colorful horses and a Cheesy prank it would always come as a shock to participate in April Fool's Day on Star Stable you would have to ride up to nilbert's Highland and go to the circus you would find a small magical pink bunny up there and talk to it once you have spoken to the bunny it will randomly generate a wacky horse coat and main color combination it was said that this bunny was supposed to act as the Easter Bunny intertwining the two holidays together you cannot apply a crazy color onto just any horse though it would have to be your starter horse again enforcing The Narrative that we share a strong bond with our starter horse Plus in April of 2013 when the event first debuted you could not buy any other horse at that time Star Stable would usually incorporate an actual prank to the players on this day I cannot remember if they did one in 2013 or 2014 but please let me know if there was a full day returned in 2014 with the addition of three new horoscotes pink hearts blue Rainbow Galaxy it wouldn't be until the very next year where Star Stable would attempt to full pranks on the players when you logged on April 1st 2015 Star Stable made the announcement that they were going to be starting to save energy by turning off the sunlight in the game they asked you to avoid questlines that required a flashlight or lighting matches once you have skimmed through the devious pop-up and walked around for a few seconds they would return the Sun and disclose that it was all a prank on this day the Easter Bunny returned with the same function 2016 was by far the most iconic April Fool's Day in Star Stable history sorry car stable but this one takes the crown the Easter Bunny came back to your Victor randomly generate funky colors for your horse but it wasn't until you opened Global chat or a friend chat that you learned about this giant Shire horse Shire horses were already the largest in the game sure but this one was massive I might say super on April Fool's Day 2016 star stable's annual prank was the release of the super Shire a giant Shire was placed in the middle of Fort Pinta with stats of plus 967 strength and plus 612 swiftness you could buy this horse for the exclusive price of 25 Star Coins if you hadn't reached 1 205 which of course was not impossible this was such a great day in cerseiable history I can't remember ever leaving for pin to this day it was such a silly idea that probably took some time to implement but Star Stable took the time to do the work so that we all could have a laugh on that day 2017's April Fool's Day was Unforgettable the Easter Bunny came back to fill our hearts with rainbow colored horses we also got a new game mechanic the artificial power Raptor intelligence logic this function provided us with our own mini flying Raptor the world famous rapper from the Star Stable franchise he provided us with words of wisdom and ultimately improved our gaming experience I don't know why Star Stable would even think to remove such a successful feature in 2018 the April Fool's Day joke was that it was not on April Fool's Day at all nope this prank actually came out a whole month later on May 1st heads would roll on this day no literally our heads became Giant Star Stable provided a brand new function with our convenience in mind inflating our heads to a massive size I don't have much else to say about this one other than the Easter Bunny did not return for the first time in the game's history I have to admit in 2019 Star Stable really outdid themselves April Fool's Day 2019 introduced the release of car stable which came with the function that allowed you to toggle your horse from a car and a car to a horse your car could be a variation of different colors and you could enter your horse slash car in championships it was overall a really good April Fool's Day that exceeded far beyond my expectations the only thing Default about this function is that you could not see other people riding in cars and other people could not see you riding in a car this is a common theme with most Star Stable functions probably due to not wanting to overwhelm their game the Easter Bunny did not make a return this year players logged on to the game in 2020 to notice an extreme decrease in size Star Stable introduced small stable it is exactly what you are thinking your horses have shrunk players got into many Shenanigans with this function it was a pretty good prank probably not their best but I appreciate the effort especially in such a stressful year the Easter Bunny has not been seen in three years in 2021 the annual prank was nothing April fools had not returned this year and it left players confused this was the first year without any sort of wacky function or prank the fan base was disappointed as we were all expecting some sort of gesture to brighten up our day and keep us entertained we all assumed the prank was that there was no prank on that day and that they would launch it the next day or maybe it came with a Wednesday update but it never did April Fool's Day died that year and it hasn't made a return since okay let's rewind the clock back to 2013 where we are getting ready to dive into the history of the second event in April the first ever Easter was celebrated in jorvik on March 27 2013. Star Stable offered us a brand new Easter egg hunt questline with Felix in silverglade Village March 27 2013 also marked the release of the fur Grove championship April 15 2014 marked the second year of the Easter festivities on in your Vic this time as so brought us more activities to participate in as well as a ton of Rewards the Easter egg hunts with Felix made its return along with a brand new egg hunt with golden Easter eggs spread out across the island it was a very joyous Easter with bright and colorful decorations and many rewards given to the players for finding Easter eggs the celebrations in 2015 were held on April 1st the same day as their annual April Fool's Day prank it was a very eventful and Lively Wednesday this was the year they fooled the players with their energy saving prank Thursday will brought back the familiar Easter egg hunt quest line as well as the golden eggs along with new clothes and Tack sets the news article also provided us with copious amounts of information of what's to come in Spring of 2015 such as moreland's first ever Remodel and the game-changing American Quarter Horse 2016 brought us the return of the same egg hunt quest lines along with three new horse coats they also added a secret egg hunt this year with new rewards to those who find them moving into the next year 2017 brought us more egg hunts new clothes new pets and new foals on the mobile app 2018 was a revolutionary year for Easter and perhaps the downfall Star Stables started labeling the event as the quote-unquote jorvik egg hunt and dimmed down some of the decorative aspects that were reminiscent of Easter as you can imagine the egg hunts were brought back for the Festival this year as well as the previous golden Easter egg hunt introduced way back in 2014. they also combined the two events together with the cloud Kingdom this year Easter made its return the next year in 2019 along with the egg hunt they were attempting to combine Easter celebrations with their new game mechanic obviously promoting their mobile app fulling it was labeled that it was Springtime in yorvik therefore most of the spotlight was on this new game mechanic of helping rescue a baby foal 2019 was the final year Easter was celebrated and as you can probably tell the spark really started to die out towards the end I know it may seem Easter was an overall stale and recycled holiday but that is the farthest thing from the truth Easter was always bright and colorful and it was fun to participate in egg hunts and earn rewards especially when Easter and April Fool's Day intertwined it was such a joyful time in Star Stable history Star Stable has claimed that Easter is no longer celebrated in the game due to religious purposes and wanting to be inclusive to everyone from all religions but I think that there could be a better way to go about celebrating such an iconic event instead of just removing it completely Easter the springtime Staple in your Vic will never be forgotten [Music] on April 6 2022 a new Festival came to jorvik it was said that it was here to replace Fortuna Valentine's Easter and April Fool's Day as well as combined the previous summertime classic eurek Staples open house along with it the festivals held in two different locations the usual Festival grounds in Moreland behind Jasper's house as well as eurovic Stables it is packed with many different activities to participate in it can be said that it is lacking in the quest Department though there are several limited time races with boosted XP as well as limited time currency spring tokens to exchange for free gear some elements to mention are the petting zoo at jorvik Stables a yarlaheim tour herding donkeys limited time horses to buy dressage and many many more it is an overall rewarding few weeks to be regularly logging on Star Stable I just hope you don't mind lag the notorious red string Trail in Fair Grove also makes a comeback during one of these weeks in 2022 Cersei will tease the redesign of their Infamous villain Sabine she made her debut in the third week of the festivities along with a new Quest exposing her devious nature the very next year the equestrian Festival made a comeback along with all of the previous activities and quests mentioned they introduced a new mechanic where you impress the baroness of silverglade by participating in championships and races one week later Star Stable introduced their very first dressage practice along with the Generation 3 lipizzaner Sabine made a return on the third week and continued her plot line from last year with the addition of new quests this event ended on April 3rd of 2023 and will more than likely come back next year May this event was more or less just a one-time thing to commemorate the grand release of Starshine Ranch a little farm just off the road from fur Grove with all of the western Vibes released in early 2020 the Gold Rush was released on May 20th 2020 during this two-week event players could hunt for gold with the pickaxe in fur Grove and trade it with Scruggs the leprechaun this event provided players with a lot of your big Shillings but it was a bit unentertaining and doesn't truly classify as a celebratory holiday in my opinion it was exclusive to those two weeks in 2020 and has not returned since June it is the beginning of Summer and it is time for Star Stable to prepare their Annual Pride Festival on June 7th 2019 SSO debuted the rainbow Festival this Festival Incorporated many different elements from previous events such as the Fortuna Festival by involving Sean the leprechaun and the rainbow hunt as well as Mika stoneground a well-known traveler who introduced us all to the cloud Kingdom for the first time in April of 2018. the first ever rainbow Festival hosted various activities as previously mentioned with Mika and Sean but also introduced a rainbow raid that followed the same route as the Fortuna parade the festival made a return in July of 2020 sort of Cloud Kingdom more or less just made a return and there was no other festivities it was also held in July moving on to 2021 this is when Star Stable really started to label it as the pride festival they openly wish their players a happy pride month as well as send form wishes to the LGBT community they also introduced a shop where players could buy various bows all with different Pride Flags to represent while they ride around in jorvik rainbow parade also returned this year ending with a beach party where you and your friends could dance Mika stoneground and her hot air balloon came back to see her players were able to request a ride from Mika to visit the notorious Cloud Kingdom the following year the rainbow Festival returned on June 8 2022 along with all of the activities from last year the notable element that arrived this year at the rainbow Festival was the debut of revamped Katya Katya arrived to wreak havoc on the colorful Festival players could participate in quests to end this dark presence this rainbow Festival was one for the books and it came to an end on June 22nd 2022. it returned the following year on June 7th along with two new magical horses Prisma and tenebury all of the previous activities in the cloud Kingdom and questline with Katya made a comeback this year along with the iconic rainbow parade held on the coast of Fort Pinta the festival lasted four weeks and it seemed to be a bit more underwhelming compared to the previous years the character update came amidst the celebration so it is to be expected that the focus was not exactly on the rainbow Festival notable additions from this year's rainbow Festival include an extended questline with Katya and the introduction of Summer tokens the rainbow Festival is a very important event to celebrate the inclusivity of Star Stable although I hope that this event can be handled with more care and festivities can become more exciting next year moving into the latter part of June to celebrate arguably one of the most iconic summer holidays on June 26 2013 Star Stable introduced an enriching Festival to the game Midsummer had arrived on jorvik and players from across the globe were ecstatic to join in on the classic Swedish holiday I personally had no idea what Midsummer was as an American before I played Star Stable I looked forward to participating in the annual activities every year and helping the residents of jorvik celebrate this wonderful holiday 2013's Midsummer introduced flower crowns bonfires Maples frog dancing and long tables filled with food Midsummer celebrations were held in the middle of everwin fields and most quests started near silverglade Village another important thing to note is that every year there was a special flower crown combined with many different colors full flowers unique to that year 2013's flower crown was combined with red pink white yellow and a light blue the following year the same festivities returned along with the addition of the exclusive Midsummer store where you could dress your character and horse in the iconic blue green and white mid-summer colors 2014 brought a new questline to the table a daily treasure hunt with Felix of silverglade Felix would provide you with Clues and once you've found the treasure scattered across the map you would get a unique reward the 2014 Midsummer flower crown combined flowers of blue red and white midsummerfan returned on June 17 2015 all of the same activities and quests came back along with new treasure hunt Rewards the 2015 flower crown was made up of pink white and purple the celebrations returned in 2016 all held in the same cozy place in everyone Fields nothing notable was added this year other than some new mid-summer gear the annual flower crown of 2016 was combined with pink blue and white flowers 2017 marked the end of an era for mid-summer we did not know that this was to be the last year of our regular annual celebrations because the following year of 2018 the festival was moved to Moorland behind Jasper's house it's optimistic at first because I was glad they were allowing even non-star Riders to participate in this cozy Festival but they removed nearly every aspect that made this event special it felt too closed in if that makes sense as opposed to running all the way out to everyone fields from silverglade Village during a quest it also felt like more characters were involved this way there are still many activities to participate in but they all take less than five minutes to complete if that including the raising of the maypole if you disagree and prefer Moreland Midsummer Festival then that is alright I personally just prefer the silverglade festivities for those reasons Midsummer returned in 2019 2020 as well as 2021 and activities were all recycled with little to no difference literally even news articles use the exact same wording it wouldn't be until 2022 where it would be announced that this was the final year of mid-summer this announcement left players shocked and Confused it was such a beloved holiday that has a lot of history in the game it was pretty much out of the blue I certainly did not expect them to just remove the holiday with little to no explanation sure the event was kind of dying out later on in its life with the Recycled soulless activities but I wish they could have just addressed how boring it was instead of just deleting it from the game entirely I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks when it feels like the game is missing something this is a holiday that I have logged on for for the past nine years it gave me something to look towards motivation to log on and experience the joy I once had when me and my friends would frog dance around that maypole it was addressed that 2022 was the final Midsummer celebration in Star Stable and that it won't be making a return ever again July if you're watching this documentary the date of release then you're probably still amidst the hype of Camp Western a brand new event Star Stable introduced on July 5th 2023. Camp Western has been scheduled for four weeks and it is a western inspired event held in Starshine Ranch the quest star Lisa and her father Carl Gary goldsooth and Josh activities include the return of gold mining with Gary goldthooth this activity has had a major Improvement since it was last hosted treasure hunting while avoiding vicious wildlife helping out around a ranch for summer tokens and herding horses of course it can't be a star stable event without the debut of new horses on this particular update around eight new horse colors have been added to the pre-existing breeds such as the Welsh ponies Belgian warmbloods and the Appaloosas this event is still pretty fresh I tried my hardest to explore and participate in every activity for the purpose of this documentary it was pretty difficult to participate in the activities even days after the big Wednesday debut lag wouldn't distract myself from having fun my game would crash due to the overwhelm and some of the quests are still really bugged I appreciate Star Stable taking a step in the right direction and hosting an event rich in activities rewards and story but unfortunately the execution causes me and a lot of other players to give up rather than having to deal with a bugged system other than that I look forward for what is to come in the following weeks with this event according to the roadmap the second week of Camp Western introduces lunging to the game which could be a really interesting activity to participate in as for the third week I believe we are getting new pets for Aristotle bags along with a quest to make you fall in love with these creatures I did not expect an event to drop in the middle of creating this documentary so some of my predictions and Analysis may be way off either way I do not have any expectations for what is to become of Camp Western as the summer heat begins to really beat down onto those living in the northern hemisphere submerging yourself in cool water or chilling in the sand becomes the only thing on your mind Star Stable acknowledge this and took advantage of the newly redesigned space they had integrated into the game just a year prior to this event the event being Fort pinned a beach party this summertime classic debuted on July 22nd 2015 and immediately excited the community the four Pizza beach party would last all throughout August and players utilize this scorching month to their fullest in his first year of existence it was hard to take players away from this tropical getaway the activities that were rolled out on this event included Star simple's first ever dance floor that was not the Disco on top of that some new dance animations were made for the character specifically for this dance floor only introduction of Tim Hooper you may know him as that guy with the wacky dialogue who tried to poison you multiple times with disastrous drink combinations a new Beach race and a new limited time shop the fort binta Beach Festival has also made history by being the only event that has its very own faction therefore in order to buy certain clothes at the shop you would have to increase reputation with the fort Pinta Beach Association the festival returned the following year in 2016 with no changes or additions but something to note from a veterans perspective is that this year there was a specific star coin glitch from a pair of sunglasses in the beach shop that could be bought for zero Star Coins but sold for like 300 eurovic Shillings or something moving on to 2017 the beach party returned with its normal questline and Antics with the addition of a brand new and Innovative function will introduced Chinese lanterns you could send these gorgeous lanterns into the sky both during the day and for the best effect at night this feature was located on Fort Pinta Beach and was debuted during the 2017 for Pinta beach party in 2018 the beach party returned with all of its original activities as well as the Chinese lanterns the following year of 2019 the beach party came back with its original set list of activities it wouldn't be until 2020 where we would notice that our favorite summertime party had not made its return as if this year couldn't get any worse nothing changed next year either it would seem as if this party was at risk of becoming yet another lost event our worries were put to rest in 2022 but it had been rebranded in a controversial fashion in my opinion this event was not as enjoyable as it once was they introduced a brand new race this year that was really well designed and challenging in some aspects which I appreciated one of the reasons I comment on why the festival was not enjoyable last year was because the lag was overwhelming for me personally this was undoubtedly the buggiest time for the game last year hundreds of bugs were popping up everywhere every week when in Festival range my UI would flip out and sometimes my horse and I would phase in and out of reality this made the new race hard to complete sometimes because the obstacles would disappear due to the lag this may just be a me thing or a night star thing I found this beach festival Rebrand to be gorgeous and filled with activities but really unstable I had a similar issue this year with the equestrian Festival lag would overwhelm my game to the point where obstacles and races would wouldn't appear so I would just be hitting an invisible wall situations like this make me worry about the game's stability I don't see how the game could have been more stable in the Antiquated era of 2015 but struggles to remain solid in 2023 another nitpicky thing where did Tim Hooper go what take this vessel back and try again next year I don't want it if Tim's not going to be there August nearly two weeks after the debut of the fort Pinta beach party in 2015 Star Stable rolled out another new annual tradition the UV Stables open house hit us like a curveball it was unexpected especially in the height of the beach fun this particular event would only improve with age as the first year was nothing compared to how exciting it would become in the following years The uravic Stables open house would return in 2016 with the reoccurring activities of becoming a writing instructor decorating the stable and becoming a tour guide the classic events held in the capital of jorvik came back next year in 2017 with all of its original activities as well as a brand new show jumping race 2015 2016 and 2017 were all good years for the eurovic Stables open house but it could be said that it became a bit underwhelming in 2018 the open house took the year off and was not celebrated this year only to come back the very next year in 2019 with some Lively activities to revamp the events it was explicitly said in the article that the event had been rebranded to make it seem much more exciting and it paid off as all of the classic quests returned along with three new races five new horses exclusive to the open house luciana's tour guide questline a petting zoo and dressage inspired music from the silversong quartet this was quite a Rebrand for the quintessential Festival as it was now being held in April instead of the standard late August time frame in January of 2020 the one-of-a-kind dressage arena that is exclusive to the open house returned for the month by popular demands along with the open house shops it wasn't really a return of the festival but worth mentioning fast forward six months later and the jorvik Stables open house Returns on July 22nd all of the standard activities from 2019 returned along with the brand new Buckskin gen 3 and illusion one week later a brand new activity was released which included helping Mary the NPC that was once notorious for spanning outside of Doyle's Abbey and being Lance's love interest find her donkeys who had run amok around the festival I never did this Quest because I am extremely lazy but it is self-explanatory the aortic Stables open house came back in July of 2021 all of the same quests and activities were returned along with a new rabacano Arabian at this point in time we did not know that this was pretty much the last time we would ever be celebrating the yogic Stables open house in its six year run because the next year the event was scrapped and all of the elements contained within it were recycled into the event we know now as the equestrian Festival the equestrian Festival is said to be a conjoined event to compensate players for removing nearly all of the spring and summer holidays I personally do not support this and wish they would just return all of the spring and summer events such as Easter mid-summer Valentine's Day Etc the equestrian Festival does not make up for those events we have lost because it is all just recycled quest lines and content from the year before Quest and Festival activities that could be completed in less than 15 minutes overpriced gear and clothes laggy and unstable conditions when riding around the festival grounds not to mention Star Stable continued the Sabine quest line from last year over the course of the four weeks the festival was active one of the weeks included a quest that literally took less than one minute to complete let me say that again we waited a whole week for a quest that was completed in less than one minute but at least we get new horses every time the festival returns October we're moving on into the chillier season now and it is time to reflect and get nostalgic because starting off October is star stable's official birthday this classic anniversary is usually celebrated in early October to commemorate October 2nd 2011 when Star Stable made its debut the first ever birthday celebration was held on October 3rd 2012. this included the release of the first ever iconic hot pink and purple birthday set available for the affordable price of under 500 jorvik Shillings each players also fled into designated firework launching areas such as silver Glade Village 4 Pinta and Moreland to send off fireworks for Star circle's birthday to the following year on October 2nd 2013 Star Stable turned two years old the company rewarded players with a 200 star coin gift code to commemorate the two years of the game's existence a dazzling blue white and cold set was available for purchase as Sarah stable's official two-year anniversary set in 2014 Cersei will step the celebrations up a notch by releasing a daily birthday race held in multiple different locations of jorvik that rewards players horses with 1500 XP compared to the usual 125 or 250 we normally get from daily races as well as debut new music at 4 Pinto disco for the very first time from a real life band called ja could also buy in-game merchandise of them 2014 also marked the year of the annual tradition of setting up a giant cake in Fir Grove where players could sit around the cake and all eat virtually together I really really love all of these activities and just most activities from old events in general because they were not confined in just one area all of the activities required you to explore the map and get all of the factions of jorvik involved in an exclusive event the annual fireworks returned and as a small Finishing Touch for the third birthday starsy will begin their annual tradition of decorating hot air balloons in everyone's Fields with the yearly birthday colors speaking of 2014 birthday colors this year was purple and green this birthday celebration personally means a lot to me it was the first ever SSO birthday I celebrated and I distinctly remember becoming level 15 that day the max at the time moving into their fourth year Cersei will celebrated their fourth birthday on September 30th 2015. leading up to the annual update they also hosted four days of 100 star coin code giveaways all of the previous activities from 2014 returned except for JA the birthday colors for 2015 were pink and blue the celebrations returned in 2016 for their fifth year celebrating half a decade of Star Stable this time they introduced a new annual activity the birthday quiz testing your knowledge across your Vic with brain Busters relating to the game and horses in general the previous activities returned and the birthday colors of the year 2016 were pink white and black star stable's sixth birthday introduced a new way of receiving the traditional birthday set by including a new mechanic golden horseshoes you could collect 75 of these golden horseshoes all across the map instead of a star coin code Star Stable rewarded players by giving them a code to redeem for a free squirrel traumatizing little children leaving them Restless for days on end the annual colors this year were blue and brown 2017 would Mark the end of traditions dating all the way back to the very first anniversary in 2012. as Star Stable made a change to the birthday celebrations in 2018. we actually have a birthday gift for you or should we say birthday gifts the worst much like all of the events in 2018 the birthday party was relocated behind Jasper's house in Moorland golden horseshoes made a return this year and that was the only way to collect the birthday set that was red and yellow that year the only birthday Tradition that remained in 2018 was the daily birthday race that of course rewards players with 1500 horse XP moving into 2019 the activity has stayed the same from 2018. the annual birthday set was purple pink and white this year another thing to note in 2019 the birthday race had dramatically decreased instead of 1500 daily XP it had been rebranded into Double XP from a 250 race therefore you receive 500 horse XP way to kill the one thing players anticipate every year we are nearing star stable's 10th anniversary but first we must discuss their ninth birthday in 2020 the nine-year anniversary was held on September 30th to 2020 and lasted two weeks the regular festivities with him this year and the birthday set was pretty wacky combination of purple green and pink reminiscent of 2014's birthday set minus the pink nothing much had changed in terms of the lineup this year but it is notable that Star Stable removed a few locations where the daily birthday race would be held and finally the long-awaited 10-year anniversary was dropped a year later this one is a bit hard to recover documented information from as this birthday was not announced in a news article but rather a whole separate web domain titled 10 years in the saddle from my memory the first week of festivities were released on September 15 2021 and it came as a surprise to many because Star Stable had never celebrated their birthday this early undoubtedly the most memorable thing from this birthday event was the soul Steed a limited time free to purchase horse exclusive to the anniversary Cersei Paul has only given out a free horse once before and that is with the soul riding faction where if you build enough reputation you will receive the free Rune Runner North Swedish horse at the end of your journey everyone was ecstatic at the thought of a free horse and I believe the features were voted upon by the community much like the Gen 3 yorbic Pony something that was very memorable to me was on the 10-year anniversary Star Stable reproduced their first birthday set I have never been able to get this set so it is nice to have something that reminds me of it in terms of the activities for this event it was very similar to the year before with a few color changes in the elements I described earlier going into 2022 this is when the birthday event becomes rather stale from me it had already lost its spark years ago for me personally but this was when it almost seemed as if they stopped trying the 11th annual birthday event dropped on September 7th 2022 which was confusing because that is nowhere near star stable's actual birthday from my memory this event was quite underwhelming although the activities were mostly recycled from the previous year including the quote-unquote free horse that was now retailed at 600 star coins I do not know what the future holds for the birthday event after we heard the news about mid-summer last year I was worried that the anniversary may be on the chopping block especially seeing how early the festival began last year it started nowhere near star stable's actual anniversary it seems as if it has been given little care and little Rejuvenation to keep it exciting this is all of course my opinion but I remember logging on to experience the birthday party through the first week and there were more people at Steve's Farm than the festival I know the birthday party is a rather Niche holiday exclusive to Star Stable therefore not many people are going to log on for it or spend money on the game for those two weeks for most players it is towards the beginning of the school year as well maybe that is why Midsummer was cut from the game because how many other games on the market celebrate mid-summer especially when you are appealing to a North American audience who are not familiar with the holiday with events such as Christmas and Halloween Star Stable can at least sell exclusive Halloween and Christmas themed horses and for Christmas's sake it has the advantage of being an update in the middle of Christmas break therefore more people will log on and be willing to spend their Christmas money on Star Coins I am just theorizing here and just as we are still in the October month let's move on to the notorious spookiest holiday of the year Halloween was first celebrated in Star Stable on October 24th 2012. the festivities began with the notorious quest of uniting two ghostly lovers from nilverus Highland to their respective grave site in the forests of fur Grove this Quest can now be played year-round and usually unlocked at level 12. I personally adore this Quest just because it is so sweet yet so Eerie at the same time I truly appreciate the creativity of this Quest and just how well written it is along with the ghostly questline the first week also delivered some Halloween gear in exclusive shops as well as brand new ghoulish makeup the following week on October 31st 2012 came a brand new race on scarecrow Hill the famous scarecrow Hill Race that allows you to run for your life from witches who are trying to retrieve a golden apple you have taken from the tree at the top of the hill Hill race became a daily race that you could complete even after Halloween had ended this lasted from 2012 to 2017. as Star Stable decided to remove the daily race and repurpose it into a Halloween exclusive moving into 2013 this annual celebrations came with new activities multiple ghosts appeared across jorvik and it was your job to conversate with them and maybe you would receive a reward along with the ghosts the Halloween tradition of apple bobbing was also added to the game you could attempt to retrieve an apple from various buckets across your Vic it was a game mechanic much like fishing in Star Stable 2013 marked the year of the first ever pumpkin seller race the first ever human only race on Star Stable this race would require you to go to the silver Glade Castle speller and play a pac-man-esque minigame of pumpkin catching if you were to run into a ghost in the cellar they would send you temporarily into a prison cell far away from the pumpkins you had to catch this race made it onto the high scoreboard as well meaning players could compete for a high score on this race just like every other race in jorvik the following year Halloween returned in your Vic along with all of the recent activities and shops going into 2015 the event was labeled as the quote-unquote scariest Halloween ever Star Stable had really upped their Halloween game from last year as they did with just about everything in 2015. all of the previous Halloween activities returned in 2015 along with a brand new quest line that was so scary Star Stable had to put a disclaimer this quest line involved the notorious pirates in Golden Hills Valley Rob and Bob it would begin by players riding along at the Golden Hills beach and then going into the Golden Leaf Forest to find a Clues players found a mysterious red-headed girl in the forest who would lead them to some sort of cursed statue the following week Star Stable continued the Halloween fun by adding a brand new spooky roller coaster hosted in the silver Glade Castle this was a classic taken on most Halloween themed roller coasters with jump scares caused by random cardboard cutouts or flickering lights this roller coaster took the community by surprise as it is actually really outside of star stable's comfort zone we had never seen a stunt like this it was worth it in the end as the addition brought a lot of joy to players and it was always a delight to ride whenever Halloween rolled around after all the fun was over it was time to say goodbye to all of the festivities and look forward to what the next year would bring going into 2016 in the first week of Halloween all of the classic activities and decorations came back this included the mysterious girl in Golden Leaf Woods quest line apple bobbing and ghost hunting new gear and clothes came along as well but that was not all 2016 marked the introduction of the infamous Headless Horseman galloper Thompson in his first ever year in game he haunted the woods in abandoned areas of jorvik for 6 to 10 minutes every hour you would know if he was nearby if you heard faint screaming as well as your computer screen developing evanette effect if you were to encounter caliber Thompson he would amount from his horse levitate and then use his freezing cold hands to lift you above your horse as well after your first encounter you would be immediately sent back home to your home stable as well as receive a small gift placed in front of you containing an amulet 2016 Halloween was my favorite Halloween not only because of all the original activities and everything that has made Star Stable Halloween special returned but because this year they really outdid themselves it was all genuinely scary and none of it felt like a cash grab like galper's keep does creating an urban legend in jorvik about a headless horseman was a really genius idea and the execution couldn't have been any better a year later Star Stable dropped Halloween 2017 on October 25th and in the first week the activities were ghost hunting and the Pac-Man mini-games in the cellar they included a brand new questline where players come to a new NPC named phase Aid to help her get materials for a Halloween costume 2017 was also the debut of horse powders where for a large amount of Shillings or Star Coins you could turn your horse into a zombie skeleton or mummy for 15 minutes caliper Thompson did not make a return in 2017 but was mentioned in news articles and Quest dialogue he did make a return in 2018 with the debut of galloper's keep the home of galper Thompson that is what's he up to a man a white man I'm so scared of white men I'm just kidding jokes strange portals had appeared all across jorvik connecting to the keep this was quite a substantial update as galluper's keep would be making a return every single year after 2018. this was a common theme with holidays in Star Stable the team would replace decorations spread across your Vic as well as quests with the NPCs of jorvik and condense everything into one off map area much like what we see with the winter village caliber's keep would include activities ranging from collecting Soul shards exploring galper's haunting past and participating in the Scarecrow Hill Race with the launch of caliber's keep you could also buy caliper's horse for 599 star coins the following week of Halloween 2018 stores people dropped all of the classic Halloween quests such as ghost hunting with Mrs Holdsworth the Halloween roller coaster and the Mysterious Girl in only forest for one last time moving into 2019 gallopers keep returned with all of the activities within it this year Pepita and Whittier made their debut as magical Halloween horses you could buy for 850 star coins in Golden Hills Valley Star Stable debuted a brand new Halloween activity pumpkin catching if you collect enough pumpkins by completing mini games held every hour you could get various rewards including a pumpkin of your very own the second week of Halloween 2019 included the re-release of the Halloween roller coaster along with the classic Pac-Man styled pumpkin hunt in the castle seller Halloween 2020 was personally one of my favorite celebrations of the new Star Stable generation I thought that they executed this very well the new activities as well as questlines involving Idris were very reminiscent of what Star Stable would usually do back in the day it was very refreshing calipers keep have returned but with a Twist Idris had locked caliber Thompson away and taken over the Halloween celebrations Idris is famously from Pandora so all of the decorations had a pinkish glow to them to symbolize his leadership with these new decorations and a fun little twist to a Halloween classic came new quests as well that I actually found myself sitting in reading through the team did so well on this year's Halloween they also included a brand new Haunted Trail ride exploring Golden Hills Valley through a mystical and Eerie environment including minor scares here and there the pumpkin catching minigame in Golden Hills made a return this year along with a brand new exclusive pumpkin that could be redeemed if you completed enough mini-games every day the Halloween roller coaster as well as Eve's pumpkin hunt and seller made a comeback this year too Halloween 2020 overall was just a breath of fresh air the team really tried hard this year and it paid off I was personally very entertained with these activities and found myself logging on to complete them every day moving into 2021 in the first week everything from the previous year had returned except for the Pandora quest line with Idris all of the Halloween decorations in calipers keep returned back to normal Star Stable released two new yorvik wild horses around this time song sorrow and dusk rim week 2 offered some new activities none of which were completely memorable though mostly involving collecting Soul shards to redeem various rewards and finally 2022 had to be the most controversial Halloween yet this event was a great example of how 90 of the content Star Stable has given us for the past four years has been all grind this can be proven by the introduction of these spring tokens and winter tokens and in this case Autumn tokens they created a whole separate currency that you have to endlessly spend hours collecting or you missed out this year's Halloween started on October 12th and lasted four weeks the longest Halloween event yet caliper's Cube came back along with all of its spooky activities such as the Haunted Trail ride and the Scarecrow Hill Race although this year in order to participate you must exchange Soul shards to unlock the portals for these activities which infuriated a lot of the community as it was a whole separate grind that could last hours just to get access to these Halloween activities you could obtain Soul shards by running across your Vic during 20-minute intervals to these tornadoes to unlock the portals it took a substantial amount of Soul shards to collect enough Soul shards it required players to be online for hours to be able to participate in the 20-minute interval tornadoes older players had an advantage over the newer players in this event if older players had hoarded Soul shards from the previous Halloween events they could unlock the portals much faster and participate in the real activities much sooner many players started to plead to SSO saying that they could not be online all day to collect the soul shards just so they can participate in the real Halloween activities on the other hand many players took advantage of every single hour of the Soul Shard hunt every day as well as exploiting loopholes and bugs in the hunt resulting in these players reaching levels 24 or 25 with a rewarded player XP and having increased riding ability which would throw off the player base substantially even after Halloween had ended their annual tradition of rewarding players with a free pumpkin pet also took a nosedive in 2022 as instead of exchanging pumpkins in Golden Hills for the exclusive free pet pumpkin Star Stable decided players must exchange ingredients in The Cauldron every hour for a slim chance to receive the Pet Pumpkin the first week the percentage of receiving the pumpkin was so low that nearly nobody got it which also caused an uproar to make matters worse to increase the odds just a little you could improve your ingredients with soul shards 2022's Halloween was a roller coaster to say the least I cannot quite sum up how I felt about it because on one hand I am grateful they at least which switched it up this year and made up for how recycled and the lackluster 2021 was but on the other we as a community felt silenced their attempt of giving us new content last year solidified my oppression of the company trying to keep us grinding harder and harder for a less and less satisfying reward all while shutting out a large percentage of their community that cannot afford to be online all day to participate in the event they claimed that the social currency will not be returning this year so I am curious to see what they have in store this Halloween only time will tell December immediately after the Halloween season Star Stable started preparing themselves for the most joyful time of year Christmas was first teased on Star Stable on November 28 2012. a year and one month after the game's initial release one of the elements most nostalgic and heartwarming to me is that Star Stable would never start out the holiday season with snow instead they would gradually take one or two weeks before the Wednesday update that would coat the jorvik fields in snow the first one to two weeks would feature various quests helping the citizens of yorvik prepare for the holiday season in the case of 2012 the map had only silverglade and Golden Hills Valley so most of the quests would involve characters from silverglade such as Steve the councilman and Mrs Holdsworth to name a few in the November 2012 article Star Stable told us that there was a lot to be done before the big day and to talk to Steve to get started one week later on December 5th 2012 Snow had fallen for the first time in yorvik and star staple continued the silverglade Christmas quest line another thing to note when you have completed Christmas Quests for the week a little pop-up with Rufus in a Santa hat would tell you to be continued in this article it was mentioned that new warm clothing had arrived in jorvik and to bundle up because jorvik is freezing cold the following week the quests had continued only two weeks left until Christmas and Star Stable had to tease their big Christmas surprise to the players December 19th 2012 was arguably one of the most substantial updates in Star Stable history the features they introduced seem like things you couldn't imagine living without today to start their gift to the players in this update was the ability to equip a saddlebag with your very own pet this also introduced the famous pet shop in Fort Pinta where these cuddly animals were sold and the second feature they had launched in this update was your very own home stable this marked the very first day of the home staple the first edition this piece of Star Stable history would tease the function of owning multiple horses later on in 2013. they added that you could also move home stables for 25 Star Coins as Stables have been built in Fort Pinta and Steve's Farm before four pinza had no stable and Steve's Farm had undergone major construction ever since the debut of the game now he had built his famous yellowborn the next update was on December 26 2012 one day after Christmas for the first time ever Star Stable debuted New Year's celebrations which included fireworks as well as the launch of the barbecue function and that concluded the first ever Christmas on jorvik Christmas 2013 is very special to me and I do not remember much of it as I had just joined the game a little after the holiday ended let's rewind one month before Christmas Star Stable enrolls these celebrations on November 27 2013. the Silverlight Christmas quests make a comeback as well as a brand new quest line in Star stable's newest area of the Harvest counties first time ever Santa had arrived in your lime he had set up in the town square and enlists you in various tasks to get the celebrations underway Cersei will also introduced a new event currency Christmas wishes you could exchange these for randomly generated rewards such as clothes and Tack these Christmas wishes are still rotting in my closet to this day the festive silverglade questline continues on the second week of Christmas as well as the launch of the brand new Jolly clothes it wouldn't be until the third week when we would experience snowfall on December 11 2013 the snow made return to yorvik making celebrations that much more magical I do not know what week this questline officially made its debut but who remembers participating in the sleigh ride and delivering presents through the chimneys of the yarlaheim resident's house at night I truly looked forward to that activity every year one week later on December 18 2013 Star Stable had released a remarkable new horse breed the Arabian horse had arrived in urvik and it was quite the gift to the players the popularity of these gorgeous horses would not leave until many many months after their debut this would Mark the end of additional Christmas quests and festivities for 2013. as we would now jump into the New Year celebrations if you need a reminder rewind the video to the very beginning Christmas returned to jorvik on December 3rd 2014 the previous activities in yorlheim and so we're glad made a comeback but this update was anything but ordinary this update accidentally overloaded the servers and Star Stable was shut down for nearly 24 hours this was very upsetting to the players but the team worked very hard to restore the software back to normal this is what players mean when they talk about the infamous battery explosion which we were rewarded for with a free t-shirt moving on from that scare one week later marked the arrival of the Fjord horse undoubtedly one of the most iconic Star Stable horses ever whether for their cuteness or their speed one week later snow fell on jorvik and with how big the SSO Community had grown in two years it was very heartwarming to see some players experience their very first snow on Star Stable the following week three days before Christmas Cersei will re-released some of the most classic and well-loved features from the previous year such as flying in Santa's sleigh Yul goats and the Magical reindeer powder moving on into the next Wednesday it was time to prepare for 2015. the New Year's festivities had made it returned and that marked the end of Christmas 2014. Christmas 2015 was even bigger than the last in terms of player participation all of the previous activities in your lheim and silverglade had made a return in the second week of Christmas December 2nd 2015 a brand new tradition was introduced previously in April of 2015 the mall made its debut therefore it was time to bring some Christmas love to everyone's number one shopping destination at the time the festive quests in the mall all started with janitor who would assign you to decorate the mall with decorations as well as help them deliver gifts set up the tree Etc one week later the Icelandic course made its way onto jorvik for the first time ever if I am not mistaken this was the first ever horse breed to have its own special gate another piece of evidence of how much the game has grown at the time from its very first horse breed this wasn't star stable's only give to the players the following week Star Stable introduced the long-awaited lead horse function I had mixed feelings about dysfunction from the beginning this was like Star Staples first ever Miss because it had looked as if we were dragging our horses it just did not look like it was worth us spending 135 star coins for I believed in the following years it would receive a revamp and would look better but uh it's been almost eight years and still nothing one week later two days until Christmas we received a gift that most of us had been starved for a brand new story Quest I remember being so relieved that we finally got new story quests because it had been over a year since saving Lisa this story Quest introduced Alex's mom dilemma solving runestones the introduction of Darko and much much more going into the new year for the first time in Star Stable history they had not quite wrapped up the Christmas festivities yet but rather made a whole questline about cleaning up the Christmas in New Year's decorations article was labeled Christmas Cleanup in yorvik and it introduced new quests following Mrs Holdsworth enlisting you to help the citizens of jorvik deliver their final presents as well as James of Fort Pinta establishing a new cleanup race for a limited time only you would be rewarded for completing the races and finally starting off the New Year's strong is the introduction of Robert the almond man I don't know if this is an actual tradition in real life and if it is good on you because this was very entertaining Cersei will introduced a new function with Robert labeled Christmas wishing porridge it was a mini activity you could participate in every day in hopes of finding an almond in your porridge and receiving a reward unfortunately for me I am allergic to almonds on top of all of the content SSO released this week they had one more treat for us the limited time only star Rider salon located in the mall this salon offered discounted hairstyles that could be purchased for two star coins or 50 jorvic Shillings Christmas 2015 was one of the most notorious seasons for star stable as the snow bled so far into 2016 that it didn't leave until February which was probably caused for the first ever Christmas cleanup quests but eventually Christmas 2015 did come to an end and nine and a half months later we were preparing ourselves for the next holiday season or as I like to call it the end of Christmas 2016 was like the Calm before the storm it was an awfully lovely time to be playing Star Stable as all the past Christmases I have mentioned the festivities were combined in the same updates as the long-awaited home stable remodel it was one of the most exciting updates in Star Stable history ironically around this time I remember for the first time ever in my star-stable career my computer had died and I had to take a one week Hiatus during this time so I was a few days late to the home stable party the very next week Star Stable treated us to a brand new area your Vic City this was the second ever player character only area to be released in SSO alongside the urvik City Mall Two Weeks Later Raptor debuts his first ever Christmas track in your Vic City along with a contest for the community to design his album cover and finally it was time to welcome 2017 on December 28th New Year's update on January 11 2017 the Christmas queen of quest made a comeback Mrs Holdsworth has a request for you to deliver all of the final presents James has his race and of course Robert the Almond man makes his way back to jorvik but above all this officially marks the day that snow had melted on jorvik for good no warning was given in the article though we had no clue what was to come the following years November 29th 2017 as the holidays are just around the corner the entire star stable community is awaiting the most beloved season of the year although Christmas arrives in a very unfamiliar fashion this year the weather though am I right yeah 2017 marks the debut of the Christmas Village an off map area that condenses all of the holiday joy into one space snow did not return to jorvik this year with claims of the temperatures being too high for the snow to settle the Christmas Village offers many different activities such as treasure hunts racing and new quests in addition helping the janitor at York City Mall set up Christmas decorations did make a return this year the following week the Generation 3 Connemara ponies arrived in jorvik as well as a brand new festive questline with Santa for this week and reindeers make a return on December 13th Star Stable releases missed fall a brand new area exploring what is beyond the fur Grove mountains two weeks later New Year's decorations and activities are set up in the winter village for the first time this means that all of the firework launching areas in jorvik have been moved to the winter village exclusively this marks the end of Christmas 2017. I might as well put in my two cents right here what made Christmas on Star Stable so special to me is that Star Stable expressed the unity of jorvik through their quests especially during the holidays I truly miss when communities from all over yorvik had their own festive dilemmas that we would have to run across the map to Aid them in condensing activities and the overall holiday into one temporary off map area did not give me the same festive kick that Christmas 2013 through 2016 gave me this goes for galloper's keep as well because 98 of the time we are on the permanent map of jorvik doing our daily tasks and mingling with our friends it helps me through the day to see the holiday decorations or even snow across the island we love so dearly making condensed areas for temporary holidays may help the game run smoother and it may be more convenient but the Halloween Christmas Valentines mid-summer shaped hole in my heart keeps getting bigger and bigger each year anyway as we move into 2018 and Beyond you will notice that activities become more and more familiar every year recycled and lifeless of course that is not the case for newer players as long as Star Stable appeals to the new generation convinces them that this game is not lazy then they have succeeded as a company but we know December 5th 2018 the Christmas Village returns with a bang as every single activity has returned in this one week from reindeers to yogotes and ice racing to mall decorating you can experience all of the Christmas fun from last year in the opening week in the following week Star Stable drops their first ever winter exclusive Horus on its launch it was labeled as the jorvik Wild Horse which is what magic horses used to be called before the actual jorvik Wild Horse was released it was an icy addition to the North Swedish horse model many of us were fooled into believing it was a unicorn a week later the Generation 3 Clydesdale was released in three colors I hope you got a lot of money in your Christmas cards this year because you'll be needing it and of course to wrap up this holiday season the New Year's activity is made a comeback in the same shape and form from last year although this isn't the official end of winter 2018 one week later on January 2nd 2019 the weekly update brought us a new expensive Tack and gear set bundles on a Horse and Rider in Dino Valley yep that is all the holiday celebrations officially made its comeback on December 4th 2019 all previous activities from the last two years have returned in the first week more time to prepare yourself for the magic horse coming in the following week much like the Beloved Halloween pumpkin hunt that debuted in 2019 as well Star Stable decided to roll out a Christmas version of the mini game with fuel goats instead on week 2 of Christmas 2019. the annual magic horse for the holidays fonsi a reindeer themed Andalusian debuts along with the Yogo minigame at the exclusive price of 950 Star Coins the following week the Generation 3 Tinker horse debuts in game with three new colors New Year's made its comeback the week after the same activities return in the same place as last year this time they have added familiar NPCs you can interact with while partying on January 1st 2020 the notorious Christmas race with the elves come back finally as it was delayed during the beginning of Christmas 11 months later Christmas arrives on December 2nd 2020 with all of the festive activities within the first week as well as the launch of the haderun the annual Christmas horse that takes the form of a goat inspired Curly Horse a week later they did offer us a brand new feature that displays a snow flurry effect on your Vic this was much appreciated after four years of no snow but it was still not the same as the snowfall did not stick along with the snowfall the silversong river did freeze for the first time and allowed us to ride on top of the ice I appreciate that they did try to give the player something new this year it helped me experience a wonderful Christmas in yorvik and who could hate the Penguins The Joy did not last long for a majority of players though as one week later the Generation 3 frisians debuted in the game for those confused about the hate around these horses I'll sum up the history real quick Star Stable posted a rough draft on social media of the Gen 3 frisians and asked the community for feedback quickly the community gave their constructive criticism on what they thought could be tweaked or readjusted if I'm not mistaken this was about two months out from the release day when it finally came time to drop the friesians players quickly noticed how there was little to no change from the work in progress picks that were posted and somehow it was made worse popular complaints about the breed is that the mane and tail are too stiff and I have to agree the tail is very blocky and looks as if it could be a briar horse the gates are too bouncy and not close to how an actual Friesian moves the neck and head position is too tense and the idle animations are a bit too cartoony it feels like a step back from Star stable's previous work which is to be expected with some horse breeds as there are multiple different people who design the horse to conclude they are just too unrealistic from what an actual Friesian looks and acts like we are also mad that Star Stable asked for feedback but did not take it into consideration and pushed out the horse anyway knowing full well that they would sell extremely well if they were launched during Christmas the following week came a new race on the icy silversong River along with a new function where you can mount and ride different animals such as Bears moose eule goats and reindeer after Christmas came the New Year's celebrations which returned exactly the same as last year I must mention that every year Star Stable does released an annual player character clothing cuts which can be pretty controversial it has to do with the price it each item is sold at 70 to 150 Star Coins or 9959 to 10 000 eurek Shillings this has been the case for many years now as getting all five items could cost over 500 star coins for clothes a week after New Year's Eve Star Stable had one last treat for us to start off 2021 they debuted a new activity with ice cannons stargazing and another penguin race and with that concludes Christmas 2020. going into the winter festival of 2021 Star Stable decided to revamp The Village Players immediately took notice and mentioned that the village had looked darker and more dreary than before when you compare the winter village from 2017 to the winter village now I can definitely agree they are almost Polar Opposites it was almost depressing walking into the winter village and it didn't help that the first week offered us no new activities not much of a reason to go there other than to open the Advent calendar the second week brought us Shadow shield and snow dancer man they're getting more and more creative with the names these were the two annual magical horses Star Stable offered us for the holiday season and they completely took over week two unicorn bridles also arrived during this week's update week three's update article titled discounts and Frozen fun brought us discounted marwari and acoteke horses as well as the return of Guillermo godayas horses of jorvik race I'm not sure how this is related to Christmas I wanted to mention that there are article headline and picture was also recycled from December 2020 when they were highlighting their Friesian horse leading up to the big day on December 22nd 2021 Cersei will released a cozy update including a festive hangout with all of her favorite NPCs as well as a feature that allows us to build our own Snowman the following week came with the return of the Beloved New Year's party held in the winter village as always and that pretty much wraps up Christmas 2021 a bit of an underwhelming one but I still hope you all had a good holiday that year I hope we're all ready to discuss last year's Christmas this will be the final installment and I'm happy to say this will go out with a bang Christmas 2022 started off on December 7th due to spoilers circulating on Star Stable social media it was anticipated that we would receive the one thing players have been yearning for Christmas for years snow had finally returned to Star Stable for the first time in six years and everyone from all generations were overjoyed I will always appreciate how Star Stable executed the winter holiday last year they divided the event into quote-unquote chapters each week with a different chapter I love the banners they created for each chapter instead of taking a simple screenshot in game or recycling pictures from previous years they edited a brand new picture every week the Tennessee walking horses arrived with chapter one of the snow Saga they were available for purchase inside of the winter village blizzards were also introduced as a fun winter activity to participate in twice a day this activity was to only last for two weeks week 2 meant the return of the winter village race attempting kids teens and adults to buy an overpriced gnome the winter tradition of riding different animals such as bears and moose came back in week two as well new magical horses arrived at the winter village for week three such as a snowy Icelandic horse and Star stable's first ever unicorn a new Expedition defined a Yeti had also been introduced in star stable as well as the return of the penguin obstacle course chapter 4 was launched on December 28 2022 and it concluded the yeti Expedition quest line and brought the New Year's celebration into full swing the Lantern and fireworks show came back to its usual spot in the winter village allowing players to get hyped about what is to bring in the New Year chapter 5 wrapped up all of the snowy Celebrations by reintroducing the Blizzards for one week only giving players who missed out a chance to locate them the magical horse rotation brought back the windfels and nixies this week as well and that concludes winter 2022. I wish we could discuss the history of Star Stable events all day but unfortunately this chapter has to come to a close to give my final thoughts that may not come as a shock to anyone receiving overpriced clothing and mediocre horse colors as an update for holidays has slowly taken the excitement I hold for these events more and more each year Star Stable has relied on fomo an exhausting grind to carry players through four weeks of quote-unquote Celebration they tend to disappoint me with the way they handle some of my favorite events and in other ways surprise me with their effort in other events I appreciate you spending this time with me conversing about the ups and downs of Star Stable online's most joyous weeks of the year and remember change cannot come without first vocalizing your opinion this has been Kitty spiderweb signing out [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] thank you
