The Driller Is HOT GARBAGE!! Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor!

hello hello everybody Welcome on in I am oai we are playing some more Deep Rock Galactic survivors we're going to be doing Crystal line Caverns Hazard 5 and we're going to run my all-time favorite class the driller interrogator just kidding I absolutely hate this class um what we're going to do with this build though is we're going to kind of do um sort of like an elemental beam build so we're going to pick up the cryo Cannon we're going to pick up the sludge pump and then we obviously have the flame thrower um but what we're going to do that's a little bit differently is we're going to run the experimental plasma charger as our main weapon so that's going to be the weapon I focus on the most trying to level that one up getting it to level at least level 18 getting it overclocked um I think the experimental plasma charger is one of his best weapons so we're going to use that weapon to carry us while we use the status effects to obviously deal extra damage um to slow enemies just to put all those stat status effects on them and while we use the experimental plasma charger to do maybe the bulk of the damage that's going to be that's the plan with this build I will prioritize that weapon over the other ones the most um but I think once we get it to level 18 I think we'll be good I'm actually going to get this gold because I'm going to have to probably going to have to roll um I don't need to see the the plasma charger second but I do need to at least see it third uh and if we're not going to pick that up I think I'd prefer to get the sludge pump second okay we're probably going to have to come back for that okay so there's the experimental plasma charger cool so we did get that second that's nice I didn't even have to waste a roll which is awesome okay we're going to loop around for this swarm is heading your way load up so there's our Quest complete uh I'm very happy to see the plasma charger second though and that I didn't have to waste any rerolls hopefully we're lucky with the other ones because with this class you do get access to more weapons so it makes it a little bit harder to get what you want to get um we will do I'm just going to do I'll take some of these but only if they're really good I'm going to focus mostly on the weapons this run I generally like to focus mostly on the weapons cuz I want to get them overclocked and all that fun stuff so we're definitely going to start off week I think um I think the plasma charger really only becomes really good when you get it to level 18 and you overclock it and then you have it splitting off into other little plasma balls that's when it becomes uh at its best man that huge swarm is course right over there um we could still get this though I think of course there's got to be a little stragglers down here okay we're going to take the divers manual uh we'll take the damage okay we'll take the damage again this is going to be a tough one to get out of we're going to kind of have to bait them all over onto this side and then we'll run up here okay so we already got the elites okay let's do let's do pickup radius okay there's got to be more resources around here too okay we'll do we're going to do the max HP um I don't want to be too squishy cuz if we're running a somewhat beam build here we're going to have to get close to the enemies and I don't want to take a lot of hits I'm not going to be able to get all that yeah give me some the bugs are going insane move move move I'm going to come get this XP but I'm not going to get trapped down here because that could definitely happen Okay so like here we'll definitely take this legendary status effect cuz we are going to get the acid um the Sledge pump and we're going to get um we're probably going to get the um let's do the extra beams and then we're going to get the cryo Cannon as our last weapon okay let's keep doing man we're not seeing any um any upgrades for our for our experimental plasma charger though that's the weapon I want to level the most you know so we need to start seeing upgrades for that one might just roll this I'm better DW y man cuz this guy I want to get to 18 it's okay cool this is running out really this is we're getting really good RNG cuz I'm not having to waste any of my um not having to roll for the weapons so uh yeah great start great start RNG wise oh we're not going to be able to get all the way down there huh okay so we can do I'm probably going to actually take beam range yeah I think we'll go beam range I mean more range technically means more damage so or not necessarily more damage but you know we're hitting more enemies at least come on I keep getting hit by those even though I feel like my hit boxes should be missing them but I guess it's not all right we're going to keep doing this guy the most uh let's do the HP okay here we can do the beam damage okay now we're going to start racking up XP it up the longer you stay okay we'll do this guy to the paint job cuz we want to get extra beams on them as soon as possible we'll do you again getting a lot of those paint jobs okay let's start trying to hit the boss a little bit here it's hard it's so hard to like kill the bosses in this cuz you only have so much range okay let's do the reload speed I think we're off to a pretty solid start though we're level 25 and the cryo Cannon wow we got them we got all the weapons I got all the weapons I wanted to get without having to roll um let's do the reload that's really cool that's really cool that I got all the weapons I wanted without having to roll anything okay we'll do you and then we'll take the extra beams and there goes the boss um the only the only negative I feel to this start is well I guess we have it at level five so that's not like the worst but I would like to get I want to get this other weapon a little bit more let's roll these no it's not we'll just wait a little bit okay let's go get on the ship Man level 30 too that's pretty good on oh no we took an extra hit that's okay so level 30 we got a 10 5 6 and one um cryo Cannon is obviously going to be the least priority I think I'm going to prioritize mostly uh this guy so let's do we could probably do the burning because we're going to have it's not hot plasma is not really that good but it is going to give us 15% damage on top of burning enemies whereas this just gives us 25% reload speed and the Damage so I think we'll just take this hot plasma um we can do the status effect damage I can take this HP and then be done with it and then I don't think we'll get any more HP I'll take this and then let's do oh no legendary beam damage okay let's do I would actually I'm probably going to take this one cuz I don't want to have to invest a lot of level UPS into these weapons so I think getting the paint jobs is the best bet because then I can get those to 18 quicker looks so let's do the damage and reload I think or no let's do the lifetime and then I think we'll keep our gold cuz we don't have any more Nitra to spend you know the drill Miner fulfill your objectives let's get out of oh there's I hate it when there's that small little gap between us only there was some sort of platform gun we need to get a little bit more mining speed too it always feels weird playing as the the driller not having um not having the good reload speed I know you get a default uh bonus but still seems awkward B is heading your way load up Supply LZ is full of crap please clear it out we'll go get this and then we'll go like loop around oh man this is a big one and we're in the corner I hate being in the corner just all right that gets it this is going to be a tight one okay we'll take we'll take the gold uh we'll take man I'm going to I know I'm going to take this I'm going to take that one I have to get this guy to 18 this guy's going to be our this guy's our carry the upgade I was looking the the plasma charger is our carry so I need to get that to 18 big swarm detected up and get ready okay I know there's a bunch of gold over here so I'm just going to go over there cuz we're already kind of done with this we're almost done with this level already wasn't there a bunch of gold over here oh is it one more down dang it it is it's one more area down yeah I got I got one Peninsula too early come on kill those guys so I can get through ooh I had it I well I think I still ate the explosion I was trying to avoid the explosion yeah see all the resources are over here two Golds okay I got to be quick here cuz we can't get stuck I can't get stuck here gun for a gorgeous War get me out all right we're going to run around for a little bit now cuz I don't want to kill these guys yet um man this is a bad MAP this is a really bad MAP a lot of places to get stuck at okay here's more gold I there's got to be another nitri pile somewhere probably down here in this corner but I don't know if I want to go get it if that's true yeah I'm not going to get stuck here come on we're going to have to run oh we actually cleared it I wasn't sure if I was going to clear that in time we might have I might have to roll a little bit here to get this um to get this plasma charger going we're only level seven here this is it's my my second lowest level weapon let's it's supposed to be my carry I I need to level this up more it's supposed to be my first weapon to 18 not the not the crisper so I think we're going to have to invest in some rolls here the Threat Level just went up okay we're going to put we're just going to start putting all our points into this anytime we see it I'm picking it I'll take it swallow this okay let's get to a little clearing and we'll just kind of farm XP now although I guess we can mine cuz I do get gold for mining oh there's still a lot of XP around here on the map okay all right let's do you and try to get the extra beam no uh should we do the the CR bur just get fire on everything uh let's do the lifetime okay we'll do we'll do the status effect probably should have taken the health there but I didn't I don't want to keep taking too much health but I'm probably going to regret it at the end here cuz I'm probably going to be probably going to get hit and not be able to kill things fast enough and be like man I wish I would have had 50 more health don't die okay I'm going to roll man I can't get a break here with this other weaponed work fast Miner that pickup radius really helps us though crap Mo I know they're almost dead though okay okay good paint job on you we definitely need to get out of here soon though look how fast they're getting I'm just going to let my poison do most of the work um let's do you all right yeah another one okay so let's do the slow this one almost makes it too easy okay one dead the other one's about to die okay there he goes okay good good we're in good shape um let's we could do the reload on you all right I don't want to do man I don't want to put really any more like I don't want to put too much investment into this let's do that pickup radius all right let's get out of here yeah like so many paint jobs in a row that's making up for some of the levels we missed I know they're they're artificial level UPS cuz they're not giving us any stat boost but still got move on okay let's get straight in there before taking you closer to your target man we went from level seven to I think level 16 just like that that happened quick okay let's do you little uh again I don't want to put any more points unless I have to into this guy I'm actually going to heal um let's see this is 69 nice um or here let's actually just do this let's do Mining and pickup radius now this a and then I guess we can do you since you're right there and then I'm going to re I'm going to keep roll rrolling until I get this guy man of course it's going to be this one though that's kind of a waste feel like that's a waste cuz we're only one level up away whereas I could get no well I can't really get it I can't get two of these I could get a 14 and a 14 I'm one short to be able to get both of these so if I do this that's all I can do but I don't again I don't care about the cry let's just do this whatever and then we're going to do the plasma ball splits into the smaller projectiles uh so we'll just roll with that one this is going to change okay and then that's it okay well I'm glad we got this overclock that's what I wanted uh and there's still like it's 43 so we made pretty good progress so now we're going to hopefully rely on this guy doing most of our damage um we did kind of cheat it out a little bit because we got I think we got like three paint jobs in a row so it's not going to be as strong as you would think it's going to be right now so we will still invest into this weapon a lot if we if we see level ups for it cuz we probably skipped out on three levels worth of well probably like six levels worth of upgrades big swed get ready these maps are rough these are really rough Maps today it feels like PR ready Miner we need you to clean up the landing Zone there's all our plasma balls putting in work all right let's go get this um supply drop prepare to fight for your life a big swarm is approaching all right we'll probably do H let's do the Nitra he we're going to do the damage you kill me a we we were about to that guy was about to die and then he he froze up like a Christmas tree we got a swarm incoming hello good and I need another morite pile all right here's what we need Nitra and morite I just need a little bit here that should be enough oh no it's not enough that should be enough there we go ACH all right now we're just going to XP farm I guess for a little bit here let's do you yes let's do guess we'll do you sure man we have look at this pickup range holy cow this is some really good pickup range we got that's for sure there's just going to be XP sitting on the map like this whole time because of all because we're basically all the AOE or status effect we do from our burning and then just the acid sitting on the ground and then on top of our plasma balls just flying around the whole map doing damage everywhere part of me wants to come up here but part of me just wants to circle around where I've killed people and just start getting all the the XP that's dropped I don't think we've seen one magnet yet this whole time either spe It Up The Bu grow Stronger All right we can do strong and to everybody watching yes I know the beam I know if the beams hit them they do more damage I know that I'm trying not to not to kill all the bosses super quick here I get a lot I get that comment a lot that you know you have to hit them with the beams I know that's why for one that's kind of why I took the plasma charger cuz I want the plasma charger to do to do most of the work all right yeah let's do that epic reload okay we do need to get out of here kind of quickly though although they are almost dead they're almost dead Threat Level increasing hello I wish we could get a magn though guess what's on the menu more boat and they're piss all right legendary reload sure UPG going to change my life guess what's on the menu more bugs and okay they're so close yeah we're in danger though all right um let's do that HP now like I said I maybe I was going to regret not taking all that HP before all right I'm not going to sit here too long cuz we we almost died there jumping through that huge crowd level 55 man I just I wish status effect stuff was just a little stronger all right let's do damage I'm going to have to heal again for me here okay where's I want the range I'd prefer range else oh my gosh I can't afford it okay let's do this let's do the lifetime 11 okay and then we'll do the reload on you then let's see if we can get some other gold upgrades reload let's do this is going to be re oh that's just reload for heavy so 5% so cost efficient wise this is better cuz you're only paying six more gold for five % more reload so let's do that or do we just roll it I just wasted gold rrolling there all right let's go get this health up here no let's get this Nitra cuz we have Nitra powder let's try to mine a little bit more too just so we can get um more gold swarm detected get ready they'll be with you shortly all right let's do the armor I guess out of those ones better we're going to try to focus a little better on killing this time let's show them we got supplies ready for you clear the landing zoner for obstacles please well done you got them all I'll take it big swarm detected B get ready LC PR head up all right let's do we'll do the armor that'll probably come in handy here especially after last floor all right I need to get out of here son of you kill me all right the boss is already out huh all right well I guess we're not going to get too much of the resources here so let's just kind of hang out here and I'm not going to try to really at this point I'm not really going to try to um I'm going to reroll these okay let's do should I just do the add burning zones to the ground maybe should I try this one I don't think I've ever tried this one or do we do just the three Beams I mean the three beams is obviously nice I have a feeling like this just might be useless though all right let's um do you hello good it's really hard to see too all the little bugs that are coming near me cuz we don't we're not we don't kill them quick enough I wish we did I wish we were killing them before they could touch us you know that would make that would make just status build so much better all right we'll get this little bit of nitro since we're here all right we'll do the damage on you like I said we're going to focus mainly on this all right there's one boss oh my goodness look how many bugs there are all right I think we can l all the way around this way and just try to put all this damage on these guys and then also get this XP time's running out Miner the bugs are getting worse this is where it gets so tough when we just run into these huge huge swarms like where do they all come from man this other boss is only halfway dead I oh no he's more than halfway dead that's the other Elite I'm looking at the other Elite I was going to say I thought we almost had this boss dead okay boss is dead but look at this swarm they just holy cow they really engulf you really quickly with this build cuz we don't really have any range you know there's nothing that's outside of my plasma experimental plasma charger that's all I really have going for me in terms of being able to kill enemies far away oh my goodness all right let's do get me on the ship stage complete onwards to stage five that was yeah that was not the most efficient efficient one right there efficient floor okay let's do range damage let's roll man if I do range I'm not going to be able to spend the last of this Nitra I guess that's fine no I could do yeah I could just spend my Nitra here never mind okay so I could do yeah let's do that let's do the reload on you then and then let's do the range and then we're pretty much broke that's about as cost efficient as we could get the and take out the good luck Min we got okay okay ones um we have 40% critical chance we could get higher with more Nitra I don't really I think at this point I I wouldn't I wouldn't actually mind seeing um like The BLT or something or I don't know I don't know what we need I don't know what artifact we need to make this build more to make this build better cuz it's not I was hoping the plasma charger was going to carry a little bit more than it does and it just doesn't we don't have there's nothing to kill the bosses we're really going to mine mine the [ __ ] out of this area though maybe we'll get some gold tip bullets D this guy this first boss isn't even dead yet it's going to I have a I have a really good feeling this last boss is going to take a long long time to kill for the supply po to land it's going to be tough it man do I see do I pick up like the I was going to say yeah man okay so we'll take the BLT I was going to say do I take the pickle Nitra if it shows up probably guess I don't really need more gold now maybe for rerolls but we can get more Nitra though see I bet you this run I wouldn't be surprised to see this run have a lot of damage but it's not going to going to be you know very efficient it's not going to feel like a very efficient run cuz obviously it's not we haven't even killed the first boss yet the first the first or Elite I should say the first Elite isn't even dead we don't have one Elite dead and I think the the main boss is about to spawn here thiss and it doesn't matter even if I put my beams on the guys they're not it's not like we're doing a lot of damage to kill them I almost need to keep moving because the Swarm comes at me I can't just sit there and let the beams hit the enemies because then I get surround it so we're going to try our best to do what we can on this boss I'm not entirely confident in this I'm going to try my hardest to stay as close to him as I can while also maintaining damage on on on the other enemies and dodging and maintaining a good path oh he's about a third well not even a I would say maybe 20% maybe 20% dead think you can kill me I'll think again oh that was a quick jump theot baby they got your sense now Threat Level increased now I'm just I'm starting to get swarmed oh my goodness all right we need to go I need to go get this health down here the longer you stay the harder it gets this really reiterates how bad these status effect weapons are I know we didn't take we didn't really take a lot of status effect damage but we automatically start off with 100% because of the interrogator we just we can't hang with any of this I'm going to I this is ridiculous I think this is it like I've stayed on the oh we're dead I stayed on the boss almost the whole time and we barely got him halfway dead oh man I thought we were I thought we would be able to do it with that s see look like 70 million look at how much damage this weapon did this weapon did so much damage but it's not enough to to carry us because it's it's all like spread out we did 18 million acid 19 million fire how do we man how do we lose this run when we do so much damage it's just because we sit on the map forever this was a 30 minute run 30 minute run we got we got this guy to level 28 31 million damage that's so good but it's all because there's just so many enemies on the map and they're taking all this tick damage so like every enemy is taking like 99% damage but it's not taking 100% damage cuz we're not we're not strong enough to kill him that's kind of what's Happening Here uh flamethrower yeah well if we add the fire you got to add the fire to some of the flamethrower damage um and then the acid to the sludge pump the damage the damage was high but it's just that the boss we we can't kill the bosses we don't kill quick enough and we get over overwhelmed with enemies it's rough it's a rough build I thought for sure the plasma would be able to do it though putting all the the debuff on them with the corrosive having them take more damage man we even had like 400 Health yeah that was tough tough run I mean it is what it is these I the driller is surprisingly the most popular class in the game According to some infograph that they put out and the Gunner is the least popular and that blew my mind because I was shocked to see that the driller is the most played class um I'm not sure if that's because of some of the objectives maybe like the quest Maps um some of them do require the driller a little bit more than other classes but I hate the driller this is this is exactly why this was such a good run we got to level 63 level 28 plasma 21 12 corrosive and then like an eight cryo Cannon we were pretty solid but yeah this is why I don't like this is why I don't like the driller and Status effect builds they're they're hard they're hard to pull off um I think we might try like an all acid build at some point all acid seems relatively decent but these weapons like the flamethrower and the obviously the cryo the cryo cannons I don't even know if the cryo Cannon is worth taking like now that I'm looking at it I don't even think the cry Cannon is worth taking maybe maybe it's the cryo cannon that just needs the buff and everything else is okay look at that it didn't even do a million damage and how much was it really freezing it didn't feel like the frost effect was really that helpful the damage obviously would have been better so maybe that's what you do maybe you run this but you switch out the cryo cannon with like maybe one of the drones you know like the Firefly the Firefly hunter or the the acid drones maybe that would make this a better run all right everybody well that's going to be it thank you so much for
