Most people won't want to watch an hour-long video from almost 5 years ago, so here's a summary of points that he makes...
There is deep resentment and distrust among the America people that represents what he calls a "pre-revolutionary" moment:
Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, as well as both the Tea Party and Occupy Wall St movements, have been tapping into this same resentment, just from different ends of the political spectrum. He even points back to 1992 when Ross Perot led the national polls as late as July as one of the early warning signs that a populist movement was building.
He goes on to describe how the democratic party has become a party of special interest groups rather than a party of the people and how that feeds into all of the problems listed above, particularly the theme of stifling dissent and suppressing all facts or narratives that don’t support their agenda. As for the republicans, he basically just says he doesn’t even know what they stand for because they no longer fight for any traditional conservative principles.
Unfortunately, he doesn't offer any solutions. He just describes a problem that I would expect most people on a Centrist sub to already recognize.
