The Current State of The Chainsaw Man Manga in 2024 Explained

we got to talk about the current state of Chainsaw man and just what Fujimoto has been doing because this is ridiculous the latest chapter Cliffhanger is a scary one it really is quite a scary Cliffhanger and if you have not read the latest chapter of Chainsaw man I really really recommend you to do so with that disclaimer out of the way let's just get right into it chainsaw man I have a feeling that uh Fujimoto is about to kill nauta off because with this statement from dji's mind basically saying there's no way I could ever have family I mean I killed my own dad and then you have like these images of like naut and dingji being very happy together having this family feeling and all that it just feels like Fujimoto is setting us up for the Band-Aid RIP just a rip off the Band-Aid and say yeah this is what chainsa man really is about because I want to remind everybody this is the same Auer okay that wrote the end of power like he did like I think everybody remembers the iconic moment of just like power trying to deliver dingi a birthday cake she comes to the door and it represents a lot of development for power as a character you know her thinking about dingji and just the relationship in general and soon she comes to the door machima just bangs her she's dead just gone and it just like it was so quick it was insane just how power just ceased in that moment obviously she came back later on at the end of part one but she still died and it was just such a jaw-dropping moment because it's like anytime that dingji in his life he gains any form of Happiness like when he actually has happiness going on he has family friends Etc it is just torn from him he loses it and these chapter these latest chapters of Chainsaw man has definitely painted the picture that for these last few years that dingji has been living has been pretty Bliss he's had a very good life and one of the big things that these latest chapters have shown especially this sequence is that dingji is willing to sacrifice his own happiness and well-being for the sake of his loved ones or his family AKA nauta in this moment and she remembers that and this was in the previous chapter and she were just remembers that you know dingji was willing to sacrifice his own will beinging everything just to make her happy cuz he loves her deeply so much and as much as this sequence was kind of funny and people I remember were kind of saying this is kind of cringe it showcased ding's growth that it wasn't just about him he wasn't just being a very selfish character he was being very selfless and he really did want naut to have a very blessed and wonderful life and so her actions after that to basically try to save you know denji and protect and all that it makes a lot of sense how much she has grown and the impact that dingji has had on her life and so when you get to these sequences where you know nut's fate is left up in the air we don't know exactly what's about to happen to her but you know we know what offer we're currently dealing with this is Fujimoto Sensei this is an offer that has killed off Aki he has killed off power you know technically makima even though nauta is kind of mima's reincarnation I'll talk more about that in a second but the point of the matter is is that he kills off characters and characters that you get very attached with just cease to exist and it's a sad moment we have seen a lot of great characters within the story of Chainsaw man just end up dying and I feel like What's Happening Here is that nauta is on the Cho in Block she is about to disappear and we're about to see a very big decision that dingji is about to have to make you know like is he going to be able to save her and if not what's going to happen to him will he be able to overcome the pain of loss once again because that's a big detail here is that it's been a few years since he's lost like you know aie and power but obviously he's dealing with the difficulties of being able to overcome or move on and I think that he's tried his best especially with nauta and so I am very fearful right now because the current state of Shaw man is a very scary one because with the latest chapter like this is the latest chapter that came out this past Tuesday we get this whole little flashback sequence of nauta basically her elaborating on why she is so good-natured and why she treats dingji like she does and she even admits she knows who machima is like she is fully aware of just her past you know Incarnation that she was Mima and she at one point of time was fighting dingi and she gets the full layout the backstory so to speak and she realizes but despite knowing the truth of what machima want she is her own person nauta is her own person and these chapters display that that she truly loves denji she doesn't just love like poo that is inside of him and wants his heart and Chainsaw man she has come to love and respect denji as a person and that is why she went out of her way to try to protect him in these moments it's a very impactful scene because she now realizes just how much she has grown and everything that makima wanted nauta is having nauta is having love she is having family warmth of those around her it isn't isolation or loneliness she's not having that and she realizes and she doesn't want dingji to lose that happiness or lose his life because she does care for him so it's a very sweet sequence but once again this is a flashback and if I know anything from manga and how manga is written when you have a flashback sequence and a character is put into a life or death situation that character is going to die all I'm going to say say so next week we will find out the true conclusion I would assume of just what is going to happen to her and what will ding's decision be because like let's go on a limb here okay let's let just assume things let's say dingji does lose naut like nauta dies okay what's gonna happen to him because it's like when you think about everything his development and the ending of part one of Chainsaw man and him trying to pick himself back up again after loss of power in AI it's like will he go back into that state will he be able to handle it a little bit easier or will he just completely go insane and lose it all there's so many things because it's like what will happen at that point now we do know that if theoretically I'm getting to the point I tried to establish earlier if nauto was to die okay let's say she does die it wouldn't effectively be the end because we know she would just be reincarnated once again again as the control devil and DJI would have to find her again and clearly from what we witnessed with the flashback that she can read the memories of DJI and others to know exactly what really happened so the original personality can somewhat reappear so to speak so when you factor all of that in it's like um even if nauta dies some aspects of her could linger and live on even if she does she probably won't be the exact same but the love probably or the care for d might remain and I think that is a big point that we should take away from the chapter is that Fujimoto is setting us up maybe for a death but not necessarily the end entirely because the control devil is intertwined with dji's fate and poo as well so yeah H chainsaw man it's been wild actually a wild few chapters like honestly this character by the way I want to talk about this man I hate this dude like oh my goodness I don't think I have hat hated a character more in a long time than this like this character I love like I legitimately hate this character and person like this character as a person now to be fair the character is obviously designed to be hated and I think that Fujimoto does a great job with that he does a very good job with making you absolutely just hate this person as an individual with just how far he's pushing dingji and what he's doing to nauta def frame them and all that it is just outright gross very gross and I think that uh you know in terms of what his purpose is as a character spot on doing a great job but oh my goodness I hate this man like I legitimately just hate this character because oh he is just ruining the perfect Blissful nature of ding's life and it sucks honestly but it looks like we're finally getting back into why people fell in love with Shaina to begin with and I think that is another big detail to talk about is that the OG fans the people that you know read part one of Chainsaw man have definitely had some complaints with part two for a while saying that part two of Chainsaw man has felt very disconnected from what it once was and personally I would disagree I think part two was great it was refreshing it was very nice to see a change of pace from the typical style that chainsaw man part one had but I do think that uh that chaotic nature of at least um the darkness elements of the story weren't really there for a while and it seems to be kind of bubbling to the surface again and dji's character is kind of getting more depth to it especially with these sequences right here which I'm all for so it does seem like the OG chainsaw man is back to a degree but I'm going to leave it that just I wanted to talk about chainsaw man these chapters have been absolutely wild
