The Chosen Season 4 New Scenes & Plots Revealed!

The Chosen cast and crew are about to finish the first month of filming season four because this series is made thanks to viewer donations those responsible for its creation ensure viewers are included in every part of the process most recently The Chosen social media team shared an inside look into season four which reveals so much about the storylines and characters of the next season it shows us exciting new scenes including the execution of John the Baptist let's look at this latest inside look into the fourth season and all the other behind the scenes footage shared in the last few days we already knew that this season would include the death scene of John the Baptist mainly because we thought it had to be on the show due to the place it has in the gospels but also because Dallas Jenkins has been teasing it on social media now in the latest video you can see how this storyline is given importance John is seen in Chains in multiple scenes of the special inside look video he is taken out of his prison he looks exhausted as Two Soldiers violently accompany him and throw him on the ground to his knees the video also shows us the room where his execution is going to take place Jenkins talks to the actor playing the character and gives him directions about how emotional this scene has to be he says Jonathan also filmed a scene where Jesus heard about John's death and there Jonathan imagined how Jesus and John were childhood friends we're guessing this is the scene where Jonathan sits by the fire alone and falls on his knees in agony we already saw this moment in previous behind the scene images but the new footage shows us more clearly how sorrowful Jesus is when he hears about John's cruel death the video also proves that disciples take the news about John badley especially Andrew who is very close to him in one scene Jesus hugs one of his followers and he appears quite upset we know very well this season is going to be pretty emotional but don't worry there is good news from the set as well Rama is back this season in fact we will see her right in the first episode of season four her return was announced through multiple selfies from the set she poses alongside Big James and John in the inside look video too you can see the actress playing her quite happy to be there she is seen shooting different scenes talking and joking with the cast and crew everyone seems delighted to have her back we wonder what her storyline will be in this season perhaps she will get engaged then married to Thomas who will also be in season four in one behind the scenes video it's possible to see both Rama and Thomas standing with the apostles and Mary and Tamar the video refers to them as the trouble Squad we couldn't agree more let's also talk about which other characters are back for season four from the BTS we have seen so far Judas is definitely back he is back with those big blue eyes of his he is with Simon the Zealot in one scene so he will be spending more time with the other Apostles that's for sure Simon himself is busy doing laundry in another BTS image no matter what scene he's in it's always nice to see Simon Z in action according to the released BTS footage the other characters that are back are Jairus one of the Pharisees who secretly support Jesus his friend Yusuf another fan favorite character both of their colleagues schmuel we also know that Yusuf and shmuel will have a new scene together in season four as you know they didn't have much screen time together in the previous season so it will be refreshing to see both of them together Big James and John's father Zebedee will also return for season four he is together with Jairus sitting at a table Andrew and Simon Peter comfort each other in another scene so we know they are also back however in all the scenes we have shown you so far and the ones we will show you in the next couple of minutes you will realize that one disciple is missing from all the scenes in this video everyone is there except one person Philip it's impossible to see the actor playing Philip Yoshi barragas in any of the BTS footage that we've seen from season 4 filming many people have been asking us in the comments about Philip's absence from the new season well there are a few possibilities perhaps his scenes are later in the season so he is not present on set yet but the worst case which we don't want to accept could be Yoshi no longer playing Philip in the chosen although we would like to believe that he is just not there for a couple of days or weeks of filming he could be replaced by another actor as the show did this before with big James for instance but whatever we say would be pure speculation so let's wait until Dallas or Yoshi said something about this situation besides the absence of Yoshi we should also talk about one crucial scene shown in the BTS footage we will show you one of the biggest scenes of season four from multiple pictures and videos it seems Jesus is in front of a crowd all of his disciples are there but they're also the Pharisees and one of the them is Rabbi Benjamin although the latest inside look video did not share anything related to this scene Jonathan Ruby and some other cast and crew members posted pictures on social media Jordan Ross who plays Little James also posted a photo from that day and in the captions he said got this shot while shooting one of the biggest scenes of the Season it appears a confrontation between Jesus and the Pharisees is on the way we are already pretty pumped up about it from the looks of it Gaius and Matthew still maintain their relationship it will be nice to see them back in the new episodes quintus is the same as always in one new shot he speaks to Atticus and seems to enjoy what he hears Shula and Barnaby will also appear in the new season here they are in another shot with big James and John apart from the existing characters we know a new cast member will join the chosen Dallas Jenkins announced this on his social media the new actor will be the legendary Tony Amendola known for Stargate SG-1 and Once Upon a Time We Wish Dallas had given us information about the character Tony would play but he didn't say anything from his looks he doesn't appear to be a wealthy character perhaps he will be one of those who Jesus helps with his miracles we will have creative VP Catherine Warnock talked in an interview one of the important things she talked about was the potential release date of season four she said they are considering premiering the new season in January 2024. we know it will be a long wait but we will have to endure it if it means we will get an incredible new season but that doesn't mean we won't see anything related to season 4 until next year in October there will be a chosen con a special conference for all the chosen fans there you will get the chance to meet Dallas and the show's cast members and see a first look video from the new season we are guessing this will either be an official trailer or an entire scene from season four either way we know there won't be a total drought until January 2024. other than these what we know about season four is limited Jenkins said that it will be quite an emotional season it's not hard to figure that out since we know we will see the execution of John the Baptist but overall the fourth season will have a more emotional tone than the others Jenkins also said that the events of the season will follow the scripture more closely so the new season will be chronologically more accurate we expect to see Jesus talking more and more about his death especially with the disciples we wonder how the disciples will take this news according to Dallas they will think about who is the most important among them perhaps they will start questioning Judas or we will see more of a self-finding journey among the disciples whatever comes on our way we know we will like it the show has
