THE CHELSEA PURLS PODCAST: EPISODE 89 HOLIDAY KNITS

Red Bank mic so it feels really weird cuz usually we have that like intro and we could be like we can do our thing and kind of that we could pay for a good share out into space yeah now we got to hit the ground running here so yeah challenge we have ten days till Christmas I can't even ten this show not ready I am told I I don't get finished I don't get how to work until the 23rd what the heck I know well at least you have a couple of days off I have to work all the way up to the 24th and then I close the 2425 and I'm thinking about the 26 but I'm not 100% sure yet so don't quote me on that but you know that way you know cuz my family they come and they're coming late because she gets out when he I think she might I've got a hat I've got it oh hi Justin it's on the 23rd yep that would be me okay so I think she gets out Friday okay so they're driving through Indiana and then anyways his useless information you guys don't care about but no information because that means the boozy podcast I don't think they'll be here for the boozy podcast I know they're always here for the boozy pot I know that's part of the fun I know so they won't be here for the boozy podcast which would be weird but we're gonna have to figure out I was thinking we could do alive but the hood that would be fun we haven't done alive in a long time so that's what I was thinking so next Sunday ah on the 22nd are we gonna give them the timer yeah we're gonna stick to this so okay got to do it okay so next Sunday and yeah this is gonna be we're not even boozy yet we can't get ourselves what time do you a.m. New York time we're going live hot mess haha podcast boozy pot is hot best podcast hot boozy podcast I never hub we're having hot booze you know I can't have hot white cloth that says no just the thought of it I know it's been you know we Miriam and I went to a cookie swap party so fun on Friday and I had the mulled wine mold one and it was so good in a crock pot yeah a crock pot and someone made buttered hot buttered what does the cold hug first has much better drunk but I was afraid to try it because I had another cocktail before then I had wine not to mention all the cookies that I had in the pregame all the way up to so I didn't want to get sick so you know I didn't want to mix my drinks either no not a good idea now I just had a of the hot one and it was very good but I don't think that that's a morning drink I know no is that something you can sip on all day long today we're gonna try the Hoppus note so I was thinking what about like a peppermint martini oh yeah that's definitely a morning drink you know like sometimes I think peppermint yeah that would not be hot then right we'll figure it out okay we'll figure it out hey thank you so hot so well I don't know if you guys have any ideas about what we could drink we're open to suggestions that's definite I know you enjoy it we're booze content we were talking and discussing food so we're going to wear a white cloth bajamas we have to get bottoms I didn't get bottoms oh no we have to get bottoms I target had I don't know if they still have they probably sold out I think I haven't got to target I need to go to Target it's probably like a chaos and there maybe I could order in line we'll do it when I hang up I'm gonna hang out when I hang up I'm not on the phone I need my coffee so yesterday I opened up a package from my friend mag because last week I said I don't know I was talking to her and I must have said that I didn't find myself a Christmas mug this year and I didn't because usually I do and I was so disappointed like seeing everyone opening in their advance and having their Christmas coffee in the and you didn't have what are the flock misses and everything and ever and I didn't have a mug and yesterday she sent me a mug so for my my pottery or not pirate my dishes or whatever you call it it says father Christmas needs a lion and then on the other side it says if I hang the Christmas stockings please will you do the washing-up so cute really good so has my coffee in it today - no you I took the thing that don't have to feel left out I don't feel left out but what about this could we just talk about this for a second hold up joke you ready how is my hair standing up in the back yeah your hair is good how do we not love this that's really cute is it just one skein one skein you phone it I'll phone it in let's see if I can find it I totally forgot oh you know why I had it in my show it's Clinton he'll Kashmir one skein and it's like that fake brioche rib it is so great Leslie made this for me but Leslie made like five others for her daughter and she just made so many she even went as far as making a little baby one no doesn't matter it's my boys it's not a Clinton Hill pash pash marriage Kashmir oh is it that wait I have it yeah I think I have it so it's a free pattern on Ravelry so it uses one skein of the Clinton Hill Kashmir on the same needle size that they call for and speaking of while we do while we're speaking while we're speaking and I'm gonna talk about this hat because that's show cute right it's called the cat love hat and I actually ordered the black and camel Kashmir from Clinton Hill to make it because I couldn't stand it and then everyone kept DMing me and emailing me saying do we have the DK and I said you know what I don't have the decay but I ordered it just for this hat so if you guys want this just call me and I'll ship it out but I'm obsessed I'm gonna cast on today because I would like to have this but Rebecca actually said if you need it just knit a little loose okay so I don't know I know that our friends at the Knitting place yeah you were just saying yes so Dinah made and she's such a Clinton Hill also and Pam made I don't remember what your in Pam used for hers okay I think I found it is that the hand with the twist headband with the twist so this has headband with a twist I'll link it below yes it's it's a free pattern by mirela moments I'll link it below yeah cuz it's not on Ravelry you have to go to her way so get it hmm 12 a couple oh but yeah yes yeah that's really cool that's so many so many so we're gonna make that so that's one project yeah we're talking about quickness we're talking about quick knits directly what talk about quick knit show what do you that was a quick do you have a quick knit I don't have my quick knit started but what I'm doing I'm not doing that so what I'm going to do is Churchmouse has more it they've got if I saw that on a size 15 needle two skeins it makes a cowl I think it's supposed to cast on like I don't know 40 stitches or something yeah I'd like to make one of those two I think this is gonna be Sofia I'm gonna make it for Michael's girlfriend so I have my two skeins not for you to UM probably but I can do it after Christmas no that's out of 13 that's what you out of my back yeah it's a nude of teen right now to 15 and I have it okay I just have to get the cable that's a good idea today yeah [Applause] it depends on your definition of definite that stuff it's off the needles I have to do once you get to here and it's crap it's done in my book so I have to sew in my ends and sew down the I love it I'm really pleased with the way that it turned out I would definitely do it but then you would I would do it again the reason I would do it again is because it's not as dark and grungy as I had hope I wanted it to be dark inside I just don't see you in I know that's why I need to like bust it out and do something durak and grungy mid-nineties Runge I love this but it's supposed to have that dip diet I think it looks gorgeous and unfortunately my second and third colors work there was very little contrast there so you don't really have that full it was already full but I loved it right absolutely love it what is it directly it's the dip dye Ragland by Camilla Vaughn yeah I linked it below so it is finally finished dish so instead of being my Thanksgiving sweater it will be my Christmas sweater I'm thinking maybe I could bust out the pleather pants this would blend her for Christmas yeah yeah and you could rewear it to vote I up and pop up and they had one that said boots with the fur no they didn't with Santa his boots wouldn't have the fur I love that it was really I love it that's great yeah yeah I haven't I got the been appropriate one yesterday that popped up for you to make a vest yes because you don't have to do sleeves this is the new petite knit stockholm slip over hold on obsessed and I was really thinking I wanted to do it back so I'm thinking I'm gonna do the best for a boat oh that would be good cuz I think it's gonna be killer hot I know so I have a vest and then I have a white button-down and I can wear it with my pleather leggings there you go so I'm super excited about that that's a good one yeah and that will take less time yeah I don't know what yarn apparently it's calling for what's the gauge she likes it Oh so 19 stitches so 20 almost 20 stitches so figure a little less than worsted gauge okay mm-hmm won't that be nice so I can all the DK and mode together we could or I could even do sit yeah yeah like with the white button-down something funky perfect yeah so yeah I saw this one too the Knitting Loft posted this and I really liked it and so did send you by the lakeside cuz I met her when I was in Canada visit many ranges it's snow dust hat by Andrea patrón patrón a kitronik it's really pretty it's very bright you say beautiful yes hmm so using two skeins of Woolfolk I'm going to do a quick knit for TJ I'm going to knit him a Chelsea mixer hat we're gonna cast on today too so I'm gonna have to cast on today I'm really going watch out watch out to cast ours in one day ya know it makes ur will take me like a day and a half I just have to get TJ a hat for his stocking the mix are two skating on a tent I'll help ya that's fine I could pretty much do one in a day but we got the wool folk in the so it's like the lime color yes for his school so school colors so we'll do that I want the best oh and speeching we can do we get the new wolf oak yes do we have it - she maybe you should do Michael's girlfriend scalp in this for you ah instead idea instead of the faux fur but I do like the faux fur the faux fur is so I really have faux fur I really like it a lot yeah it's a lot of fun yeah it's really sabi fun should be fun to work with and it's nice because it's not it's like a boucle it's not that loopy stuffy anime TV no needle caught in it yeah inches cut and not getting caught in it in it all good so I finish that color it it's 24 karat my mixer look at there I really love the Hat I was wearing it in the rain the other day and you know when your hat gets wet when you're wearing a hand at hat it gets and it gets wet and it I get so stretched out so I blocked it like a little bit again and I and I put it back on so yeah so I have my 24 karat and I whipped out like my VI now yes you totally should he should have been wearing it all month I haven't I just whipped it out today so we have our cookie gate hats and her bad palms are back in stock I love them um green goat we sold out of them we keep selling out and she just made us more so she's making us more she's dropping them off today for us they're so cute I love them awesome so much such a great item on something so different huh it's so awesome so green vote Sarah made those for us oh this is let me take off my hat so I'm all over the place um I'm so my brain isn't properly working this is Susan joy by Andy Fagan and she named it after Nana and this is a completed sample cuz mine still in not in transit but on the needles but this is using Evelyn knit it for us it's using a one and a half skeins of the cobblestone in pecan latte so she had about a half scheme left on each the pattern calls for one skein of cobblestone but I went ahead and added a little mold with it cuz you know did you do it on the larger needle since you were doing that on mine but I'm not quite sure I don't think she did okay but it's really really this is really nice and I was mourning a lot or - mm-hmm so I really loved it it's GG's color yes totally GG's color so we have that sample and then and did we talk about we may have yeah and the Platts on the bottom I love the Buffalo me too with the sweater I took one of those from me of course did Christina so we have a bunch of these we have them on the website I think they're so cute and I added 24-karat in 80/10/10 what else upstate I did sunflower and tin can back on the website like - I do - it's an oldie but a goodie that was one of my first colors that was really for like Vincent because remember he used to want like the the manly colleen Hanabusa can you do a few colors for me and then i made him a blue one and then we came up with tin can fun yeah now we have a present someone sent us so we're going to open you I'm a little scared oh I hope it's not a live animal that would be bad how about sitting in the box oh look it didn't say fragile or anything so I think we're good didn't get anything so we're good I hope but
