The Boys Season 4 Episode 4 Wisdom Of The Ages Review

this will be a day long remembered now I am the master welcome to another episode of Legends and theories and welcome to my review of The Boys season 4 episode 4 titled wisdom of the ages and I did record footage of Mortal Kombat but YouTube decided to be stupid and only captured 50 seconds of that stream which I put as unlisted so I'll have to rerecord the footage again so I'll just use Injustice footage again this week but going for this week's episode this was one of my favorites of the show so much happened in this episode and a lot that I thought would be pushed off to later in the season and starting off we have just some interesting development with Adrian him continuing to work with hueing the rest of the boys trying to find Redemption for what he's done and he be actually forgiving him in this this is very different than the comics where Hui executes a train for Revenge but yeah honestly that's pretty interesting that they went this way and H was willing to forgive him and it was a genuine apology from him and he genuinely accepted it it was pretty interesting to see that and going to a train again there was little scene with Ashley where both of them have their problems with homelander and they really will he's probably teaming up against him although I don't think either of them are going to be surviving the end of the season I feel as has a pretty good chance of just being killed and I think a train is going to be pretty brutally executed by homelander once he learns that he has betrayed him honestly I really feel like we're going to get some kind of really gruesome scene where a train tries to escape and we see like half of his body on one side of the room and homelander holding the other half but I'll go back to homelander later because boy this was a brutal episode with him in it going to other characters huy didn't have a huge amount for himself in this although he does make a big decision it's mainly him de saying that that in the moment where he gets the compound V from a train and although he does forgive him he also decides not to give it to his father but his mother decides to put it in herself and I heard from someone I work with that here there's a theory that hu's Mom is all in his head I don't really think that's true we've seen scenes with other people in the room and even if we didn't he went and had the one scene where they went look through his father's I think it was his his will or I can't remember exact term if it was will or something else but he had his well now ex-wife being the one who had uh Power of Attorney over him and I think that was it was um pretty that's a I don't really like I feel like she definitely is there and is probably there to mess with huie from V uh but it's pretty interesting I do want to see what happens there but now moving on to everything that was happening just in general with Frenchie and everyone else Frenchie got a pretty bad beating in this by Ezekiel as he looked into firecracker trailer and it just continued to get worse for him after he went and revealed what he did [Music] to his kind of boyfriend is not really exactly his his family and he understandably was angry and attacked him and said he to kill him next time he saw him he's probably know exaggerating with that but he FR kind of did deserve for what he's done to the family and he was trying to make commends but did in the worst way possible and although you do feel bad for him you do know he did do this willingly and was not a good person before kamiko is going through a similar Arc where one of the members of The Shining Light who was taken by her Wants Revenge on her for what she has done and honestly that was I'm just really kind of you know sad for that one character and you can Tello feels really bad about it but there's nothing she really can do to change the past and she's sparing this person because she feels sorry for what she has done and mov on to probably the biggest things first with butcher he has been R back with the boys he's working with them he's being a little more respectful but he's s in his dark and twisted stuff and it's you know a few things where they showed off camera for how he managed to go and get the information on firecracker but I just love the blackmail scene with her where she just goes and posts the information online and then manages to turn a terrible terrible act into something that people would support her for honestly just shows really how messed up she is and how just uh insane this world is so I to assume it's this world because I really don't want to think it's going to happen in the real world but who really knows I do know supposed to be not sure if intentionally or unintentionally making fun of someone but I am not really going to go into that and even though the show does have its elements of political stuff it's very easy to overlook and it's just a fun thing to watch which gets really dark and insane of course there is that political element in there and I generally just look past that because I feel like it's hidden in well enough and isn't very inyour face well it's still just being a very entertaining story when they do use it but with firecracker her revalue Starlight gets way worse with this and starlight doesn't want to reveal this kind of like really Petty moment from her childhood to everyone even though she has way worse stuff exposed in this after she saids she doesn't really want to tell in lies about not knowing why firecracker hates her so much but firecracker is honestly just really R towards her in this and I think it's a great scene at the end where Starlight does beat her up but that's exactly what she was being manipulated to doing so that the bill against against VA wouldn't pass and it's also interesting that the elections already happened and that I I don't know if I missed this in the last one I thought that they were still campaigning but singer is said to be president elect in this which means he's already won the election and he'll be president probably by the end of the season and yeah H I'm really excited to see what happens with that and I think everything with charl in this one was really well done she was probably the main focus of the episode and you do feel really bad for her everything that happens and you understand what has happen with her reaction we can also see how it's going to be seen by other people to who especially you know don't really like her and could be used as fuel against her and honestly that was really interesting but going to last thing with but was for to mention we do get it revealed that he has already taken compound V and although he doesn't think he has powers it's clear he does because Ezekiel was somehow killed and we just trying to figure out what happened and it's clear that the compound V is giving him abilities and I'm not sure if he's going to be fully cured from the disease with the compound V and it's just taking a while to kick in or if he's still going going to be on this clock I thought that I was going to mention in this video a prediction I had where I don't know if he mentioned it last week I'm pretty sure I didn't I'm pretty just mentioned to people I was talking about the show with but I thought this season was going to end with butcher taking compound V to use it to cure himself and go after homelander after Ryan either died or sighted with homelander permanently and was becoming the next homelander I'm surpris he's already taken it and wonder what his abilities are and finally moving on to the last and most insane and kind of terrifying part of the episode is when homelander returns to his childhood home where he was experimented on and tortures and murders nearly every person who experimented on him as a child besides a person who was in charge of it who he left in a locked room for her to slowly die and look at the bodies of the people she used to work with and that tortured him besides one guy he like roasted alive I don't think he was left in there but yeah this was a dark episode for that part they complely remove the scene of homelander Massacre the room of doctors but yeah honestly that was probably one of the most messed up things they've done on this show and if they actually showed it I think it would be at least on equal levels with invincibles train scene but yeah honestly I really enjoyed this episode they did such a great job it was so much fun to watch and I want to know what
