Borax Water Wagon | Final Blacksmithing & Assembly | Engels Coach

Well, this will now be the final video on building this Borax water wagon. I appreciate all of you that have followed through the whole process. if not, if you have come here towards the end I encourage you to go to the playlist of building the Borax wagons and you can follow the whole thing there. Last week, when I made these irons sometimes called the brake clutch, that holds the brake blocks, or the brake shoes, I designed them for a one and a half degree, top to bottom, and four degrees in. But I'm going to set my table, and initial shim, at 2 degrees and five degrees. Then as I cut these blocks I'm gonna adjust the table saw. As it comes down to the final finish, it turns out to be one and a half degrees and four degrees. Well, this is the day we've kind of been looking forward to when its finally gonna look like water wagon. I had some good help with Micah and Dan, Well, it's times like these that always seem like they're always an anxious time, but it all went together really well. Thats Dan and Micah. So, even though this water wagon is going to be hooked behind the second Borax wagon there are some old pictures that show that sometimes these water wagons were moved individually by themselves. So on front of the short stub tongue we need a couple of pointer eyes that the team can be hooked to when they are not hooked to the Borax wagons. And these eyes are what they pulled these wagons by when they were pulled individually. I want to thank all of you that have followed along with the building of this water wagon. I know its been a long haul, Total Iguess there's about seven hours worth of video, but this project took about eight hundred and twenty hours to put together.
