[Applause] today i have two chainsaws with me because i have a really big tree to take out i very rarely take this second chainsaw with me it's a really old chainsaw from uh my father or maybe even his father we have it for a long time it's still working pretty fine and uh it has this bigger blade i think it's around 80 centimeters and when i have the tree that i hardly can cut it even if i go from both sides with my chain so that i pretty much always use i prefer taking this chainsaw as it makes things much easier so i don't know if it's just me but i completely see a face ahead of an animal biting this piece of the root i thought it was really interesting [Applause] um probably it's one of the bigger trees on our property to think that this tree was here i'm pretty sure over 100 years and uh how many sunrises and sunsets how many winters it survived and also how many storms and winds this tree survived all the world wars and then just one wind came from the wrong or maybe better say from the right direction and it took it down in a few seconds it came out from the dirt and uh it will return to dirt i will take uh some parts of it and i will make boards and i don't know i will try to make the life of this tree a bit longer by transforming it into some other objects but uh anyway this is life i can only make myself feel better by thinking that i will use it for something good or or when i cut down certain trees uh certain sick trees and i think uh it's good for the forest that way it can grow better but at the end of the day in the forest there is life and death happening at the same moment there are sick trees there are dead trees there are healthy big trees and it's all part of the system it's not that that tree is uh are in the way for something without them uh there will be new rich soil for the trees that are growing to our eyes a forest that it's uh organized and all the dead trees are cleaned looks uh nice but in reality for the nature forest it is chaotic it's much better also for the animals to hide for the nest and uh i know that if i have to do something if i have to build something for me it's no better way than uh taking the materials from the land and not buy it from other parts of the world that i don't even know where it came from how the trees were cut all the things that are behind it the transportation uh the conditions how people work there if i can come and get the materials i need from my land in the ways that i believe are at least conscious to the nature and to the environment i will always prefer this than uh buying things and i know that it has a way smaller impact on the environment than buying something from the other part of the world and this is also something that many don't even realize they don't realize the furniture that is in their house or parts of the house where it came from they didn't see the trees that were cut down they have no idea what is behind the things that they have and uh and it doesn't mean that it didn't happen it's just that you never saw it but yeah i could go on with this conversation and it wouldn't probably change much so i better go to the work ah [Applause] [Music] [Music] ah [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign uh so wow [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] um [Music] hmm [Music] so ah now [Music] [Music] ah um [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] i attached the chain in a way when it will pull hopefully it will twist the log and break it away because there's no way i'm going to the other side to cut it all of this is leaning over and the log would roll down it's just too dangerous i really hope that it breaks away when i pull i made the mistake by not cutting more on that side before i started cutting on this side but it is what it is [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] if i would be able to also get this stump with the roots out i think it would be really amazing to make something out of it but it was really challenging to break it away mostly because i was scared walking around it i had no idea when it could break away and where this route will tumble so uh so [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] uh so so [Applause] hmm [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] oh [Music] is [Applause]
