we're bulletproof combines should be ready to go famous last words [Applause] good morning everybody exciting day here today get the combines out i calibrated the tcm's put some fuel on them cleaning the shop right now is what dad's working on and then we're gonna get the new used flex draper in and start putting the prairie wind system on we have our head we ran last year there so we can copycat it cheat so we don't have to read the instructions as much that'll be nice so let's get to it [Applause] [Music] so this is what a head looks like when it's stock and i'll walk over and show you what we got to install today well it might be more than today being it probably just me and dad working on it eric is on his way home he should be back next week it's friday today i don't know if we got to work saturdays but we'll see we'll see this is what we get to install so we're putting a query air bar on so we got to put all this pipe on bracketing this big gear box tubes and all of this and the brackets that hold it on it'll be well worth it oh we also got to put that brush kit on back there so that trash can't get behind the draper belts when you're blowing a lot of residue towards it and honestly that should just be a deer factory option so you don't get that trash wrapping on the tubes of the draper belts so this is what we get to put on this will be the end product i'm glad we have this one already installed because it's going to be really nice to cheat off of this can you read that it says full send that's on my combine the other one's gonna have uh america blind america toby i don't like how he's dumb around equipment he used to be skittish of it but now he's been here enough he's he's not scared of it anymore so i'm always gosh it's about him i don't know what i'm going to do with you this fall you're going to be a cab puppy huh toby yeah i don't think he'll like that very much and i'd have to have a lee should be the only guy ever to have a dog on a leash in the field yeah literally 45 foot head 50 foot door but 45 feet is to right here you literally have what eight inches on each side of the head tight 10 inches it is tight you should have used a raid to clean that up now we got a mess oh you could have left it so dry the rich man's absorbent you know i got rags it's like 10 bucks a bag you can afford that you know you know how much your buckle jeans cost that you soak up oil jeans yeah wrangler i've seen them before no buckle huh where do we start where do we start start by looking at this one that's that's where we start [Music] okay we need that new working what you got left the hair is really messy oh i was supposed to get a haircut too and the old stuff had a direction of flow and i think i remember him saying there wasn't i'm gonna have to untuck my shirt soon you know he's been working hard when he's got a shirt untucked i was just at the chiropractor you know and then they put this heat tape on my back you see that yeah and it's hot it's heating me up is that what's on my head imagine having a heated blanket on your back it's just oh should i take it off oh he's on the bed again jeez [Music] are you supervising tobes look at this dog oh my goodness oh my god nice oh he likes his belly scratched [Music] [Music] [Music] all right everything should be together now i'm gonna get in raise the reel up and then we can tighten stuff up and finalize it all right guys we're gonna call it a night friday night we're gonna quit a little earlier dad and randy had plans tonight so we're quitting a little earlier going to work tomorrow most of the day i'm sure so i'm going to check in with you guys tomorrow when we get this finished up we are very close got to run some wiring harnesses for the pitch and the flow to restrict airflow to this if you don't want so much power so we'll check in in the morning and we're back i'm back look who else is back we made her we made her how's everyone doing you survived the uh the hunt huh that was uh you didn't get gourd that was an experience of a lifetime no no got pretty close walked a lot too much like eight miles a day you did you choke i was a little winded for most of the week something about being at 10 11 000 feet there's not as much air up there so you're backpacking with 60 pounds around here didn't help it helped it helped i probably would have been screwed otherwise but it's there's no way to train perfectly for that we should send everyone up there to train i think they do olympians up there but we should go up there and we could really work hard in the fall yeah work hard well it's good that you finally showed up to help yeah you guys didn't do as much as i thought while i was gone but i'm glad you left some for me oh yeah we had to make them work saturday so now make us all work saturday to punish them for being gone i'm getting a bunch of uh elk jerky so i shot a bull elk yep six by six the smallest one you found right yeah they had this one tied to a tree and i they figured there's maybe what 200 220 240 pounds of meat you'll get from it all sin done so i got a bunch of jerky well that'd be done for lunches in a week they're gonna hang it and age it for two weeks so wow we're screwing and they gotta process and ship it but i got a bunch of jerky made the uh butcher we went to yeah had like the state championship four years in a row or something yeah so it's going to be good it is good we tested it there's black pepper and then just original then i got the little they call them snack sticks but the little like slim jims and uh we made a ton of ground and steaks backstrap steaks stuff like that so i'm excited for i'm just gonna be eating the whole fall in the tractor cab you guys gonna have to yell really loud on the radio because i'll just be thinking about food got bluetooth going just eating jerky right oh wait i'm green carton out here that's right so on other notes we're installing this brush on the back of the head so this runs here prevents trash from blowing behind the belt and wrapping on the rollers very necessary should be there even without wind i think yeah put it on the other head too already last year yeah so we're wrapping this project up the actual uh wind system is done just got to wire it finishing it up we got to get this done so that next week we can relax yeah right the moment has finally come we've worked all day on the combine itself and finishing up the wind system here also but we just did a lot of greasing had to move some spacers in the router and just looking over everything making sure it's ready to roll we're gonna get her out now test fire it and uh see what we missed i don't know if you can tell how close that is but that's very tight [Music] green light let's go to the field ready give him a minute he says no hopefully a week hopefully a week and we're bulletproof type gps is working had calibrated we adjusted the clutch slip clutch on the gearbox that was slipping but it said to let it slip a little bit get it heated up a little bit and then tighten it we're bulletproof combine should be ready to go [Music] famous last words [Music] [Music]
