GOSLING: "And that... is an opportunity."
Fun thing I noticed about this movie on my second viewing: every transition shot in the whole film is really busy. Except for one. There is a single transitional shot closer to the end that is static. It's just a busy city scape with like a freeway or something and there is a giant bill board with a picture of Martin Short. A big short. I'm positive it was slipped in there on purpose.
Edit: found it at 1 29 50. Took a shitty pic with my shitty phone. Big Short https://imgur.com/a/bDQtU

My favorite quotes from this movie.
Mark Baum:Β I don't get it. Why are they confessing?
Danny Moses:Β They're not confessing.
Porter Collins:Β They're bragging.
Mark Baum:Β [on the phone] Ok, I want you to walk back in there and very calmly, very politely tell the risk-assessors to fuck-off!
Vinnie Daniel:Β [Walks into the room] Gentlemen, I just spoke with Mark Baum and he says to 'fuck off'.
If you watch the extended version of this clip here there is a part when one of the employees is like:
Cracks me up every time.
"His Face is Different"
background murmur "......that's very racist....."

That's my quant.
Quant?
MY QUANT-TA-TATIVE!
It would be awesome if public broadcasting and philanthropic sectors of Hollywood could team up to tackle all kinds of topics that would benefit us as everyday citizens to understand better by making programs as energetically and humorously educational as The Big Short was.
This movie made me feel stupid as fuck.
Even with the pauses to explain lingo to me I couldn't keep up with what was happening and didn't understand fully how they were making so much money
