they're out but guess what today we are investigating the wavy trends for 2020 something that's not as hype as the four Tyrol ice cream okay okay is going down so in this video today we're not gonna focus necessarily on the trends that are going away but we do want to shed light onto the trends that have arrived such as hot chicken sandwiches it's wave we're talking about Japanese inspired Asian bakeries wavy we're talking about taiyaki ice cream you know the fish waffle yes first up you guys we got to check out one of the hottest trends from 2019 it's still carrying over into 2020 hot with that time with blonde TRO and some bacon and cheese and things of that nature a small onion I love it but has a strong onion flavor next up I think we got to go with the chicken this is Mississippi fried chicken in the six you six guys know did you ever think you would find authentic Mississippi style hot chicken in Temple City I would have never thought dude guys Mississippi hot chicken it is dripping we didn't get the spiciest version but I love the crust look how crispy that is you guys may never see me in another video from like this there's no meat in this Wow just you just say David let me tell you this I think I know why crispy skin this actually tasty it's because it's fried in peanut oil it kind of gives it that nutty taste yeah it's just like crispy and crunchy no Andrew from my buddy this is better than Colin razor I'll take this over waiting three hours all right you can come in get your chicken in three minutes no but do you give it out of five man I I'm not gonna lie judging by how much seasoning is on this this looks like it's gonna be a little bit hotter you see that no no no I move on to the next thing I know you're breaking the pro-basketball not that dry normally white or breast me tend to be very dry here they actually dip their tenders in chili oil right before they serve it and I think it is the Asian chili oil so it's gonna give you kind of that Asian vibe right there so you guys we're talking about 2020 trends here what do you think that the hot chicken sandwich have replaced is the game because as we know the food world can expand but where there is something new usually something got tossed off Melissa I think the hot chicken sandwich did kind of eat in to the market for beef burgers and beef patties in general because people want a sandwich they want something hot they want something needy but they don't want beef here at blazing chicks the chicken sandwiches come in five different levels we got three of them we got naked medium and blazing I really like what they're doing here because they added some vegetables in there from a big fan of the popeyes chicken sandwich but the popeyes chicken sandwich has no vegetables whatsoever hot chicken sandwich at police chicks I'm normally not a fan of pickles but the people is actually taste really good tell you this right off the bat I am feeling the heat I do think some of the crust is falling off of the chicken but overall the sandwich has maintained its structure and I value that a lot I could say this with a straight face because I'm not lying this is my favorite chicken grass hot sandwich I've ever had now I've got to say when it comes to chicken breasts Bush's chicken thigh I think that that's no no comparison as far as chicken breasts goes that's my favorite you coming from the 66 and you think about getting howling rays and waiting three to four hours in line just know that you're doing it for the experience because as far as taste and quality you can get something very comparable here at I just think to get something come close to the authentic southern recipe here in a 66 that is a really amazing thing you know ever I've always said I'd love to see the ethnic enclaves the puzzles improve with authentic concepts outside of the bubble in this case it's an Asian chef who grew up in Mississippi bringing it to the Asian zone that's so dope I might have to see John tribal because this is a type of food that you need to see somebody who weighs over 200 pounds try how to see that mr. 200-pound club try this real quick this is the blazing chicken sandwich that's his lifting face when he lifts heavy weights that's what he does not that hot but I like that station ah nice chicken we never had man keep this food from me beeping away all right next up we are checking out a new concept that I believe is revolutionising the Asian bakery or perhaps just the Chinese bakery world either or that's a big statement this spot is a Taiwanese bakery but it has Japanese techniques and Japanese buns there I feel like it's replacing the old-school Chinese Cantonese style bakeries you know with you more modern stuff they're bringing to be honest a lot more Japanese bakery influences and if you guys know Japan they're super artisanal very French inspired I'm just saying there's gonna be a leg up son marry bakery what what a lot of a stuff very interesting because I thought movie was kind of similar to taro and I'm a fan of taro because it weighs like a bit of a game right you're a big fan of like the half chocolate dip you get you first you get the hard shell then you crack open to a soft croissant and then you hit a kind of a grainy melted deconstructed chocolate in the middle have you come to some air you should actually the brioche which is the Chinese de version of a French bread not what I used to eat you know when I was a little kid but hey this is not heaven fournier's version of brown yeah it's uh Evan foshan's son is it better than the one you grew up eating Nelson tell us no this is good the whole time son Mary is the number one Chinese bakery in 2020 as of right now it's winning because it has so much variety of new innovative type a curry bun yes a lot of them taste very different and unique and interesting but a lot of them are really good too so I think you know that really helps them you know put themselves above the others the kids come you know bakery they go in fast food pray yeah yeah there's burgers I mean I think for spreading Chinese bakery culture and everything and how they pulled it off four out of five goes on to this [Music] we still doing this still doing this guys we're talking about food trends Asian dessert trends a changing of the guard we got to talk about Thai world ice cream okay so Tyrone ice cream there's still some spots that are around but for the most part a lot of them closed down basketball terms the original big man they not playing big bottom where they go a small ball everyone's trying to shoot threes now trying to change up the game but in replacement of Thai rolled ice cream you could say that Thai Ngoc he got really big taiyaki being the Japanese fish waffles filled with ice cream this spot somi somi mixes it with korean soft-serve so it's a little bit of a hybrid japanese taiyaki korean soft-serve this brand is blowing up on in LA but I know that taiyaki around the nation is big somi somi let's check it out [Music] Andrew the taiyaki craze is sweeping across the country somi somi is a little bit interesting because they have a Korean soft-serve inside of a Japanese taiyaki right let's try it no have you ever had this before I have not we have to be honest I saw me saw me they would did not let us film and I believe they thought that we were going to copy their recipe don't worry so me seven there was only Selman you got enough location we're not here you have this taiyaki mmm okay the cream sauce server is very milky not icy at all and call us off for no reason it is Saha this is much an Oreo what are these is eBay and milk tea I have a custard filling in mind do you think the taiyaki fish waffle is gonna stick around or is it just height your opinion I think it's just height man because it's very Instagram a pool you know people what they face is very pretty taste-wise yes it does seems pretty good the soft-serve but I think it is gonna go out pretty soon on the ice cream taiyaki here at somi somi what's your rating I give it a 3.5 out of 5 ok so pretty good I mean it is a good product by all means my opinion of course I think the talkie the fish waffle has always been around it's always gonna be around on some level together I don't know if it like multiplies the power but I do think the Korean and final spot like we said this is not a Zn Express this is not American actually if it's Western at all it's Australian David why is that beef noodle soup company okay in Mon Joe they're around for a hundred years whoa since nineteen nineteen nineteen yeah they go to Australia they got 20 of them in Australia and now they got two of them in America and they're both in the 6u city no you're saying ever since you're pro basketball career started you have been eating more like Lonzo yeah Lots Lonzo Zambian is a new thing into the beef noodle soup you're here but let me tell you this Lonzo has a very very long history of noodles no pun intended they have seven different styles and they told me they have a different way to make every single movie so all that beating and twisting they gotta learn sound four versions of that this guy's our noodle masters man I think we got to start off with number one the house special beef noodle soup Landro new roman' Mons oh how special as you can tell unlike the Taiwanese beef your soup whose Brock is a lot darker and more murky this one looks a little bit more like pho broth or even dare I say though boy this broth is a mixture of chicken and beef bugs you go into a lot of little shops like some of the places those noodles are not good I'll see if you want to be known as the little shop you gotta have really good noodles the noodles are fresh literally the guys pulled them and then he turns around and drops it into the water so there's no time for those fools to sit around and be dry oh that's pretty good it's really light it's a lot easier to eat than but I can't say that I'm necessarily like it better this is how we know those from Kalpana from module all handmade noodles all the super made by every day and all those handmade all right guys there was the elements of the lawn job when I like better but there was elements of the just regular neuro you know who's a little minute talking about the meals you've been having in China mariga's obviously playing pro for a Chinese basketball team not CBA we talk about ADL those are two different leaves get a chance to travel all around right it's been really hard in terms of my diet because like when we're traveling you got to eat with the team so we were traveling up in northern China we were eating a lot of these noodles now usually don't eat carbs you know for my diet but yeah I don't have an option you know what the boss manager orders whatever they would or whatever but back home you know I watched my diet I you know a lot of vegetables a lot of greens and just protein stuff stay away from carbs and fatty foods and can be accepted a fat foods and fried stuff and accepted it alright you guys we have arrived to the Swan tae pickled beef noodle soup my dear wife Leonard are just the right amount of how earnest I didn't expect to like this one so much I actually like the beef - I thought the beef slices in that one we're super tender yeah they're nice all we can't a woman traveling in your life it's all good to try new stuff the thing about traveling is you get the experience and like you know dive in the new cultures of like food or like anything else really enjoy eating like a bunch of new stuff that I never ate before full it has the thick noodles I'm taking this one all overall don't fail by the taste is from the taste even though I don't got no meat dog you gotta give it a 5 out of 5 just like I gave the Mississippi fried chicken 5 out of 5 for me I love this dish know me I'm not to shame on the vegans but if they have meat I give it a five out of five oh okay well you know 4.5 out of 5 it's still really good first of all we gotta say you know piece two which trends again poke a Tyrol ice cream frozen yogurt Froyo yeah things are out what do you think could come in so I guess let me just say Asian chicken stews in general Koreans have this uh spicy chicken stew it's pretty good any any spicy chicken stew now what do
