The Best Blade & Sorcery Mods of 2023

another year and another blade and sorcery modelist video These mods have all been tested on PC with the latest version of Blade and sorcery at time of recording let's start with some maps there aren't loads of maps available but there are a few I haven't tested all of them but these are five that I picked out because they looked interesting mands is visually really nice taking place in a land full of well Moors you've got a large Stone in the Middle with some Huts CIT path is a devil makeer eyry location it's a small floating island you can spawn enemies into medieval kingdom is inside some Castle grounds and it looks pretty good with some buildings that you can actually go inside tidal symphony is the most visually striking with water around the edges but also the sky looks like it's made from water with waves moving around above you this level could really benefit from ambient sounds though as it's silent which seems odd with all the water and waves moving around the last one is thunderfield it's a really pretty looking map with loads of daisies in a field and it's got a really atmospheric Sky you've got rain coming down and then some random really loud thunder which actually scared the [ __ ] out of me if they could make the clouds move and add some lightning to go with the sound effects it would make this really special there are a good amount of spell mods and some are tied to armor and weapons I tried out some of the highest rated and these are my favorites Mystic hands allows you to spawn huge Magic Hands in front of you and you can use them to grab the environment and literally climb up any surface as well as grab and throw things or punch and slam enemies this mod is loads of fun and climbing around with this makes you feel like Dr Octavius from Spider-Man meteorfall is a fireball that you can throw and wherever it lands it calls in a meteor strike this is a pretty devastating attack but it does take up a lot of time to charge before the fireball can be thrown to balance things out Spectral armor is a really cool gesture spell you hold the trigger and then depending on the gesture you make with your hand it will summon a spectral weapon if you pull your hand out you get a shield slash your hand down you get a sword you can also combine your hands together for larger weapons like the spear the visual effects on the armor look really good and it feels really cool the way that you move your hands around to create these weapons out of thin air latent is a very simple Force push spell you actually use this without a spell selected you simply press the trigger then you push your hand forward to push back objects or enemies there are loads of mod weapons these are the ones that are tested with the latest version that actually work but please leave recommendations in the comments for any that I've missed there are some must have weapon packs medieval mega pack features over 400 historic themed weapons this really fleshes out the standard weapons with some really nice stuff like this small Shield that also doubles up as a dagger this Hammer which has got incredible attention to detail with an intricate design at the end with a hand holding the hammer which also has a piercing side some weapons have got unusual shapes like this Cavalry Slayer there are some that are themed like this trident from the Greek Empire or this African Shel there are also some really nice swords Spears and more regular weapons but all of them have so much more detail and and intricate carvings that make them so much more special than the regular weapons there's a left Dead 2 weapons pack which features regular items from The Real World which can be used as Weapons like a cricket bat crowbar as well as a guitar there's a Firearms pack with a bunch of pistols when I last tried this mod it actually had full manual reload in but it seems to just have infinite ammo now but it now includes custom gun enemies that you can spawn in sandbox they only seem to shoot when close up and just run at you like they have melee so it could use some work but I imagine the moders are probably limited with this sort of stuff my absolute favorite out of all these packs is the ultimate Fantasy Pack this has got over 200 weapons sorted into 22 categories these weapons are really cool with so many different types and some of them have got abilities and Magic some examples are like this Arc wraith sword which has got a cool particle effect around it and if you use the AL fire button it fires out electricity all around you that damages enemies you've got the fireborn class with weapons that have Flames causing more damage the fa class which has what looks like acid dripping off the weapon and some of them have got Al uses you've got the dwarfen class the Goliath class which has got really large axes with stone heads the frostborn class which has these really amazing looking Frost effect on them you can even see little snowflakes appear and it's got an old fire which shoots out ice shards all around you I just love how different each class feels and the extra magic attacks just add so much to them we just need some high fantasy levels with Orcs and other creatures to kill to go with them tools of the trade isn't just weapons if features a bunch of different gadgets as well like climbing pickaxes and a grapple hook to zip around Maps it features Assassin's Creed style hidden blades and some Dishonored weapons like this crossbow which has got incredible attention to detail you can even see the grooves on the metal if you look really closely it really is a must have mod the DI wand is like being a wizard in Harry Potter but it's R-rated you've got over 30 spells that you can cast which are all done with gestures with both your wand and your off hand this actually comes complete with a buil tutorial that gives you a few spells to try with video instructions then it gradually unlocks more and more spells as you use it the Spells are cast with two buttons you've got the purple spells which use a trigger and the yellow which are with the spell button the purple spells are usually for manipulating objects enemies or movement for example you can hold the trigger and then flick your wrist which will then select something from there you can do all sorts of different things like pick them up and throw them around you can use your off hand to do other spells like if you select an object and then move both hands out you can actually make anything bigger or do the opposite to make it smaller if you hold the trigger then cast your hand back and forth like a fishing rod you hook onto something and then you can move your hand down and release the trigger to fly to that location you can use the purple for some attacks like if you select an enemy and then you move your hands left and then right quickly you can actually take their head off you can even select an enemy and then move your hand around in a circle to turn them into a chicken the yellow spells are more aggressive if you move your hand and then tap the spell button you fire out a small projectile you can hold the button and then move your hand in a circle and then you can fire out projectiles you can create electric attacks which you can move around you can push your hands forwards to do a force push which freezes things for a few seconds you can even put the wand in the palm of your hand then with a quick twist you create a torch for light in dark areas the Spells do take some learning and it can be very sensitive to your movements but that's all part of becoming a skilled wizard this is my current favorite mod for blade and sorcery it's incredibly powerful and it's all you need another cool weapon with a bunch of powers is your moto samurai sword this thing is beautiful it's got such an intricate design on the sword and it comes with a sheath unfortunately you don't slide it out or in when you grab the sword handle it just pops out but the sheath has powers so if you're holding the sheath in your off hand you can press the alt button and you do a dash you can use a thumb stick to dash in different directions and you'll actually Dash through enemies or even walls you have to be careful though as you can Dash right out of the map you can do sword beam attacks by holding the trigger and Swinging the sword with the sheath hand if you hold down the trigger then thrust your hand forwards it fires projectiles where you're looking there are other attacks and Powers as well and it's a really cool weapon to take with you on a dungeon run there are a bunch of different armor mods which add different armor sets to your character which some of them can be just aesthetic but some will actually make you harder to kill or give you new abilities some of my favorites include the Renaissance night armor set these look great and they go well with some of the medieval weapon pack stuff you can also get a custom set of waves you can fight who also have the same armor and are very difficult to kill you also have a dark souls armor set which also comes with a set of Dark Souls waves these are just skins for the most part but there are some bosses to fight which are quite large and intimidating in VR unless you shoot them with some guns obviously you may have noticed the guns were ebony ivory from Devil May Cry that's because one of the best armor mods is a Devil May Cry son of Sparta mod this includes a Dante skin as well as a bunch of his weapons ebony of ivory a rocket launcher and the famous spart sword amongst others not only that but you can also switch between Dante's different forms like Devil Trigger you can switch between swordmaster Gunslinger Etc and depending on which mode you're in you can then summon different weapons to use unlike most of the armor sets this one has got so many different modes and abilities and the weapons are also really well made like the spart sword you can press trigger to extend it there's also a wolverine armor set this doesn't have retractable clothes so it's just cosmetic but there is actually a separate mod you can download that adds them this mod is a weapon that you have to hold though so if you let go of grip you'll drop it and then you have got no more claws the claws are also pretty op but they are really fun to use I do wish that the armor had them built in so you didn't have to hold on to something and you could just press the trigger whenever you wanted to extend and retract them you also don't get any other abilities so you're not stronger you can't jump higher which is a shame another good model like this are the flash armors you've got the regular and the reverse flash and you can have it so there's a trail that follows you around leaving a cool effect if you press the right trigger and they grip together you also slow down time I wish that you run a lot faster when swinging your arms and I feel like the slowmo would be so much better if the enem is slowed down but you could still move around at full speed because as it is now you slow down as well as everything else some extra stuff that's worth downloading you've got realistic bleeding which is a mod for those with mental problems we want to see enemies covered in blood head to toe realistic decapitation makes it easier to chop off heads there's a multiplayer mod that I haven't tried yet but this allows you to slice and dice with friends you've got the enhanced difficulty mod which comes with a new set of waves in the sandbox mode and it makes enemies way faster and more aggressive and it's very hard to get through a few bad guys without taking damage there is a bosses mod that adds boss fights to the Wave book these are mostly the same enemies as the main game but with lots of health but they also have some Giants which are scaled up enemies lastly I can't go through a mod list video without mentioning outter Rim mod this is a complete overhaul with Star Wars Maps enemies weapons and armor it's been a huge mod pack for blade and sorcery for years and it still keeps getting updated this one isn't available through the ingame mod menu you have to download it through Nexus and install it manually or with a mod manager and that's your lot let me know your mod recommendations the 1.0 version of
