hi I'm Jimmy Anderson England fast bowler with 700 test wickets and this is my fan [Music] Q&A the best Wicket I've taken in my career probably Michael Clark at trentbridge in 2013 Bold just clip the top of Austin the best shot I've played in my test career that's an easy one I hit uh kagiso rard for six here at Lords uh into the stand just over there to my right best off field moment uh would be probably just after the 20101 ashes um just having a beer with the lads um obviously after a huge Series win first win in Australia for 24 years just sharing that moment with my teammates and Reminiscing on on the series and and the the good bits of [Music] it career achievement I'm most proud of is getting 81 uh at Trent Bridge against India um I know probably should pick a wicket or bowling performance but getting 81 with a bat um I think is just something that I still can't believe that I've done uh best bowler I've faced probably Glenn mcgr uh or Dale stain hard to pick between the two slightly different Bowlers um but both world class um the best batter I would have to say satchin sendula I think um the longevity comes from just trying to never well never stop improving just always think I can get better so whether it's training um practicing or out on the field just trying to always be better uh and always always trying to uh improve [Music] yeah hard to pick between Cape Town or Adelaide for me two beautiful grounds um Cape Town probably the on just just on top uh with Table Mountain there in the background we've had some great uh wins there as well with England over the years so uh yeah great place to [Music] play I think I I actually gave myself good advice before that test cuz I was quite young at the time I was 20 years old I didn't know how long my test career was going to last so I just was trying to enjoy it I thought go out there and enjoy it as much as you can it was a dream to to play for England um so I I just wanted to enjoy it and I think that was really good [Music] advice I think we've got a few in the in the squad at the minute um some exciting Talent around um two guys that well Matthew pots who's played a little bit Dylan Pennington's come into the squad as well and Gus ainson uh all three you know they've got the potential if they if they want to do it um they can go on and and be um really good at this level I think it's um that that's the the key point is to to the Hunger for it you've got to work hard you got to want to put the hard yards in your test Cricket is is a hard hard game it it takes a lot of graph to be successful so I think whoever it is we'll um we'll have those [Music] traits Yeah couple um I think when I was 18 and I joined the staff at Lancashire Mike watkinson was second team coach and he actually taught me to swing the ball um so obviously that's been a quite a big part of my career so I've got a lot to thank him for um and then other other coaches that have had big impacts um David saer bowling coach Ottis Gibson again bowling coach for England uh and Peter Moos who uh actually gave me a big opportunity in 2008 in New Zealand um which you know really helped me gave me a lot of confidence um um and yeah I think it really was a springboard to having some success in my career favorite onfield Cricket memory I think probably either uh Alisa cook retiring at the oval um I got the last Wicket in the game he obviously got 100 in that game and we won so to share that moment with him was was really special he's a really good friend um so that was incredibly special and again Stuart br retiring last year I thought was um incredible to be a part of to to watch him go about his thing to B with him at the end of his Innings and his see his last ball in test Cricket for six and then to be at Mid off when he took his last Wicket as well with his last ball in test cricket was incredibly special um I think I'll miss the the competition the the battle with the the batter um on the field I think that's something that I've really loved getting into to that that battle trying to win um little individual battles with with opposition players and then trying to win test matches I think that's something that I've loved doing love putting the the hard yards into try and do that I'm looking forward to not having to go to the gym um I think you know the last 20 years it's been part of my life just waking up every day and and um working out trying to make sure I'm in as good a condition as I can be for for my Sport and thankfully now that pressure's gone
