hey guys Suki here welcome back to the channel today we have a bunch of long sword highlights that were recorded before the frost map patch I'll be playing on that map basically exclusively I'm probably live as this video goes up so come check that out and I wanted to just talk about the long sword briefly so you guys know there is quite the Barbarian meta right now and the server performance isn't very good so this means long swording is hell a lot of people think that uh long sword counters V there but it really doesn't the blocks are triggered on the attacker's client point of view which means attacking Advantage is so huge so what this means as a long sword user is you have to bait a certain swing so you can block high and then when you see they swinging quickly uh go low but you have to go low from the their client's point of view so you have to account for lag and you don't know your opponent's ping so it's like a 50/50 mixup you're playing blind because what your client tells you isn't what is actually happening in the game and then you've got to guess what Ping your opponent has whereas the Barbarian just has to swing and if he sees you move your long sword up and down he can just flick and catch a limb or catch your head wherever exposed so when both sides are played perfectly the attacker has such a huge advantage over the long sword blocker anyway this is why I PVE repas so much I'm Still Loving long sword don't get me wrong I think the server performance will get better and hopefully this will improve over time so I've been waffling
