The Anbernic RG405V Review 2024: Watch This Before You Buy!

is the rg405 worth it when the am bernick rg405 was first released I know that some people would think it's ugly chunky and more bulkier than the original game boy so I waited for a bit for some reviews then I made up my mind and just bought it and now I'm loving it I actually like the design and the ergonomic on this device it might not be the most attractive handheld I've ever seen But practicality it has its perks rg405 V is way bigger than it looks like in pictures 10 videos this thing is a massive chunky boy but because of that you get an impressive screen size and the ergonomics is a chef's kiss with my hands fitting nicely around it without being cramped and because of the grips it's much more comfortable than most handheld emulator out there vertical sequel of the famous RG 405m let's start first with the unboxing inside the box we have the RG 45b packaged [Music] well and next we have a charging cable a free tempered glass and the manuals so that's about it and let's check the [Music] console oh God that looks amazing I love the wood variant it looks like a real wood let's move on and talk about specs the RG 405 V features a uniso tiger t618 CPU a Mali g52 GPU and 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB internal storage and supports micro SD card it's equipped with 4-in display with 640x 480 resolution and it's also a touchscreen which is Handy considering that this is an Android device a custom build of Android 12 5G Wi-Fi Bluetooth 5.0 and a 5,500 milliamps battery providing a 8 to 9 hours of game time it also features hall effect analog sticks Nintendo inspired buttons and a comfortable NES style d-pad it feels quite Snappy when you press a direction which has a tactile feedback I'm not really a pro in d-pad testing but for me it's great and it gets the job done the design includes premium start and select buttons stereo speakers a headphone jack a Micro SD card slot and volume and power buttons as well as a USBC port for charging and data transfer it ALS also features a fan to keep it cool the only downside is the back buttons which is sensitive when I overgrip it and accidentally pressing it but overall the build is impressive so what I got here again is the wood model they offer three variants to choose from which are the gray model the transparent purple and this one I was hesitant at first in getting the wood model but damn this looks hella nice CH it also has this texture like wood which is also amazing amazing I must say it's Unique compared to the other two w all the way bro the size and the form factor is the biggest downside of this chunky boy some people would prefer the RG 405m which I don't have is more pocketable device and great for on the-go gaming the RG 405 V is larger and better for couch or bed gaming well it boils down on where you're going to use it at home or on the go but if you're asking me I'll just bring a bag and bring rg405 which is much more comfortable handle than the RG 45m guys please have mercy the price is all right a competitive price considering its $138 handheld which is already great considering all of its functions what I love about this is that you can play emulators from SNES to Game Boy Advance PS1 PSP PS2 GameCube and Wii with some minor setting adjustment depending on the game you are playing you can also play Android games like genin impact and the new one punch man World which is awesome I haven't tried it with the game streaming cuz I rather use this for emulation and some Android games it's up to you but I know it's possible what's amazing also is that the community released an update for the operating system you can now change your stock OS which is all right to a much more amazing OS which is the gamma OS that's the Og man gamma OS has the show as its front end dude if you're not familiar with the G show you better expand your knowledge man I'm just kidding I'm just kidding but it's amazing very optimized front end and it looks hella great and what I love about Gamma OS is that it boosted my other games I felt the FPS improved a lot especially on my PS2 games upgrade now if you got your RG for a 5V or M to GMA OS it's pretty easy just check for tutorials on YouTube so to conclude I highly recommend this to anybody regarding if you have plenty of handhelds out there or a first timer on the Retro handheld scene what do you think is it worth buying let me know in the comments below if you're new here please subscribe and you won't regret it like and share thanks for watching and I'll see you on the next peace
