[Music] [Applause] [Music] you know somebody uh you know stopped me and said that i needed to come by and and speak to you you know so introduce yourself and give me the quick rundown on on who you are and what you do my name is chase rogers i'm the owner of rogers land works we're based out of bonnell florida just north of daytona beach land clearing grading site development trucking we basically cover all aspects of that i brought with me a 2009 peterbilt 388 with a 2006 fontaine 55 ton lowboy and then a brand new volvo ec235 excavator all right well this setup looks really good uh when you guys were here a couple days ago you guys are getting it cleaned and everything and i tell you what uh green on white it looks really nice so uh you know let's start with that why why green on white i don't know when i was you know six years ago i i was in high school and i'm 24 years old six years ago i graduated high school was cutting grass and doing odd jobs and was going to go be a firefighter and my little side business took off and was doing landscaping and one thing led to another and i just always liked the color green i don't know why and it kind of stuck and just every truck i ever got we did green green things to it and it just went from there i went with the environment and earth and what we do with trees and you know we got a recycling center where we grind everything up we bring in and reuse it make topsoil make mulch so kind of went with a whole environmental thing and a green thing all right that worked that's probably stuck with green that works well it certainly looks good tell us how you started out so basically i i just always enjoyed working either through middle school in high school and uh saved up enough money to buy a 97 mile f250 that i hauled around a push mower and a trailer and and at that time scrap metal prices was high i was scrapping metal every day and just kept saving money to to buy a trailer and then buy another trailer and word of mouth got around and i was doing some landscape work and it just took off from there and in six years i've grown it to you know i've got almost 50 guys on payroll and pushing 30 trucks from a fleet of f-450s to dump trucks roll off trucks i got uh 12 semi tractors now with three globe dump trailers and walk-in floor trailers east genesis walking floor trailer we've got a couple lowboys so our log trailers and uh i just i've gotten this way just from putting every penny back into this company okay you know this company is my whole heart and everything that goes along with it and it's my passion i love trucks and trailers and equipment yeah and this is my toy i don't have a motorcycle i don't have a hot rod this is my toy yeah that's cool so what how old were you when you started so i was 17 years 16 17 years old junior senior in high school when i really made it a company landscaping company at that time okay and just took off from there i graduated high school and i was seven days a week yeah for about four years okay there we go there's a secret sauce seven days a week you if you anyone you know can do anything you just gotta put your mind to it you put your mind to it doesn't matter what anybody says what anybody tells you you know mind over matter if you don't mind it don't matter there you go that's great um so that's great that's very inspirational you know i run into a lot of people that are you know starting out or they want to get somewhere and to have what you have within six years uh putting your mind to it is there any other thing that you can say to someone else that is trying to achieve something you know the biggest thing to me in the way that i grew so fast and we grew as a company especially in this day and age where labor's hard to find and equipment's hard to find you've got to take care of your people because you know you can't grow as a company if you don't have good people backing you up so you've got to pay them right you've got to give them more than the other guy will give them and you've got to treat them like family and i've got a fantastic group of guys i couldn't be where i am today without all my guys backing me up so you've got to without good help and good employees you're pretty much useless but that is a that's a good point that's that's my recommendation is you know if you want to get involved in any kind of company and you want to be more than just an owner operator you've got to take care of your people that's awesome and the second thing behind that is take care of your equipment yeah well there you go that uh there you heard it there folks uh you know the way to do it the way to get somewhere and uh how old are you currently right now i think 24 24. all right well let's take a look at what you put together here truck wise let's start with uh you know a lot of great looking parts and custom parts on this truck so let's start with the bumper going up to the grill and working our way back yes i bought this truck out of texas was in the oil field it was bare bones this could get but uh we slowly been working on it and did a 20 inch drop bumper it's got roadworks custom grille who's bumper it's a i believe a valley chrome bumper okay um we got watermelons all around the truck and the breathers the cab lights they're all dual revolution they all run to green every light on the truck is green okay uh at night all right uh i got four and a quarter floats on it okay uh the paint's original okay who's visor up there uh that's a 12 gauge visor and then custom 12 gauge uh drop panels with the lights in them uh it's a 388 so it's a short hood so it's hard to get those panels they custom made those panels nice it's 12 gauge boxes whose stocks uh dynaflex stacks or seven inch very nice nice deck a nice deck plate edition there yeah i made that for you yep thank you um and we got a uh i forget to make it a headache rack but we kind of done it up with the green stripe and some some add-ons and that's a sound off signal light bar it's tri-color so it'll also strobe green with a different function at night for the show very cool now uh that complete who made that for you uh that's a united pacific i believe deck plate um all the parts on the truck for 90 of parts was bought here at 75 chrome shop cool and whose fenders uh these are hodge built the low rider double hump fenders nice and then we got a 12 gauge t-bar on the back okay tell us about this trailer that you have here uh it's a 2006 fontaine uh 55 ton uh we completely redid it from basically frame off sandblasted it's all new deck paint uh ran a bunch of new lights down the side all the wiring's new new lights all the lights on the trailer dual revolution as well as well very cool looks like you got uh obviously new wood here knew everything that's on the thing yeah we burned we took a torch and burned the emblem in there something a little bit different so what's the plans for this trailer after you put all this work into it um you know i've got a couple other trailers that we move most of our equipment on day to day but some of our bigger pieces like we got a peterson grinder and we got a screener we got a 300 excavator so some of our bigger pieces we'll use this this trailer to haul it but we'll try and keep it as as nice as shape as possible okay because it's it's construction it's going to get scratched up sure let's see what's going on back here and this is a brand new excavator from volvo i think we had it custom painted to our green to match how many hours on it 12 hours on it very nice and uh what are you guys going to do with it uh that'll go out in the field or one of our land clearing crews and it's gonna it'll get scratched up to clearing land but yeah we went with the two color theme on the trailer some of the trailer parts and outriggers and the center plate have all been painted green very nice we put it together good man you know i appreciate it the guys in the in the industry of uh heavy haul they know what it's like to keep uh trailer looking good especially in our yard and we're in and out of pits and dirt roads so it's it's extremely hard to keep things nice so out of all the things that you've done so far in your career what are some of the things that you really enjoyed that that year that you're proud of i i enjoy you know because my company we do you know we do a lot of operating and heavy equipment we got a lot of trucks we kind of got split up and and i like to run machines but my passion is i like to drive and i like to drive nice trucks and that's my passion i enjoy being able to have nice equipment nice trucks and not only for me to drive but but my guys to drive around in and that's what we're working on is getting all of our fleet updated and looking you know not maybe not as nice as this with the low fenders and the bumpers and stuff that they get torn up but to you know have a matching fleet and all nice equipment and everyone you know trying to take pride in our rides so we got to that's that's what we're looking for yeah but that's what i enjoyed driving and and you know from a trucking aspect i want as many trucks as i can on the road and that's that's what i enjoy most is seeing my trucks going up and down the road and all looking good and looking clean and and matching that's that's what makes me happy yeah and same with the equipment looking nice and looking good well that's great well you know i i can't say that you're off to a good start because you're several years in but i gotta say it looks great and it shows off well i appreciate it thank you very much very cool thank you hey well thanks uh for taking a minute to talk to us here and we appreciate it we'll see you soon thank you [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're standing in front of two trucks let's start with the one that's in that you're standing in front of tell us about this truck the red truck here is a 95 model got two sleepers on it all unibuilt holes and air ride cabin sleepers and 320 wheel base got a four and a quarter b model 18 speed it's kind of a project me and my dad put together back around 0.506 we had it here at the show in 06 the 7th annual it's on the dash i think and uh it's been a project and i run it over the road for a little while and we parked it and with this past year we uh got it repainted and decided to bring it back out of the woods you know it's a very interesting project my dad did you know okay so you can bring it out of the woods where are you guys from o'hatchee alabama where is that on the map there uh talladega super speedway i'm about 10 miles from there on highway 77. so let's go from front to back talking about some of the things that we've done to the truck so let's turn around let's have a look at it tell us about some of the things on the truck here well though when we built it there's a company out of indiana called reg skirts they did a lot of they did all the stainless work on that though from the steps on the truck the steps on the fuel tank the deck plate everything uh t-bars and fenders they did it all all right who's bumper you got down there i i can't remember what the company is i think it may be a valley chrome bumper i'm not real sure all right so what else we got going on as we move back here well we got to like say all the stainless work the floorboard the rick skirts out of indiana did every bit of it two sticks with 18 speed the air shifter and it ain't a real two-stick truck but what's some of the popular questions that you get when you when people my most favorite question can you get to the back sleeper from the front that's the most best that's the best question of them all right there and uh say if you want to come back on here you can look through the sleeper there and like say the back sleeve is just a regular sleeper and you just got a lot of room in it so the answer is yes yep the answer is yes uh like i say it's all unibuilt holes in it air rat cab sleeper everything so this first bunk is almost like a living room huh it is yeah yeah that's the lit that's the living room so is the other door open where we can peek through here sure got a lot of junk in there but it's just a regular sleeper you know all right all right whose idea was it to put two sleepers on it well back in 1986 i was just a child this black truck it had a friend of ours built it when it was new and he put two sleepers on it and uh i copied it it's no 359 i when i seen it i just fell in love with it i had you know i had to have one and about five years ago i got the opportunity to buy the truck and it had already been cut down and the sleeper's been took off of it and everything so i just put it back like i got it you know okay so was that a popular thing to do back then i guess so back in the 80s you know everybody wanted a lot of room but didn't want a lot of weight you know so uh like everybody thinks the truck's heaviest with aluminum trailer that trailer right there i pulled with it was like 33 000 or something it's not too heavy you know boxes they're rigged skirt step boxes um like say the deck plate it's got a chrome fifth wheel and the fenders or they're rigged skirts too like they did everything so this is a this is a product of uh red skirt so where's rick's skirt space they was from flora indiana i'm not real sure the guys that run it was real good people and those family-owned operations and i don't i don't really know what happened i still stay in touch with them but i they're still building progress but i think they changed the name you know i'm not real sure yet for you what's your favorite part of this trip it's just the attention it gets everywhere somebody hollering on the on the radio or like i say the fuel stops everywhere you stop it's fun it's fun to drive and it's kind of unique you know and so we put it together with four tanks and you know steps and everything so that's it's a it's a fun project so let's walk up to the front let's all right this other one next to it all right give us a rundown on this truck here it's like i said it's a 1986 359. it's got a 6nz cat we wired up in at 13 speed the truck come factory uh like it was a louder kit but they put a v8 cat in it and uh had a five and a four in it back in the day you know and uh but uh it's 340 wheelbase and uh we put a new style suspension on it and kind of it's been about a four or five year project trucking awesome i got the up poster from them well it's really tough to decide which of the two trucks are uh would be a choice to drive every day so do you have that problem which one you want to hop into uh no i like i'm a 359 fan i'm an old-school you know uh truck man but uh they're both fun to drive and my dad he brought that and down uh and i brought this one down so it was kind of fun running together coming down here you know so so let's talk about uh let's talk about yourself how long have you been trucking for because you know we didn't get any of that information right i've uh i've been in the around trucks all my life that's all i know i don't know i wouldn't trade it for anything it's a fun a fun uh hobby you know all right so if we had to put some years on that how many years would that be uh i'm 38 so my daddy was in the trucking you know all when i grew up and i run uh five trucks on my own over the road and uh that's what supports these yeah yeah they support them you know in the business itself what do you guys specialize in we pull a flatbed and we run all 48 states and uh we run a lot california seattle stuff like that from birmingham alabama we do a lot of that got some good drivers they take care of it right here we can almost see exactly the difference between you know the truck within without a sleeper right and that space it looks like you can drop one right back there when i put the truck back together i made it long enough to put the other sleeper on it you know as say the guy out of tuscaloosa alabama on this truck mike lancaster they called him bam bam and uh it's been around for years the truck has who else do you have with you here at the show my wife there they go there's my wife and uh my little boy uh actually he uh he loves trucks and that's all he's been around he's five years old that's great so what do you think of the 75 chrome shop trucks right here we're having a blast i've been coming here for quite a few years and that's the best show of the whole year huh i believe uh good weather good people you know so i mean went to louisville last month and like i said we had a good time up there you know so it's the truck show circuit is it's fun yeah it sure is yeah well wayne thanks a lot for taking a minute to talk to me here and uh yes sir it's got great trucks i'm glad that you brought them out here to the show thank you for having us [Music] so how's it going good yeah what's your name my youtube name oh your real name we'll get to youtube in just a moment uh blink blake blake nice to meet you what's your name tommy tommy where you guys from oh i'm from drumsboro georgia okay nice nice nice all right so let's go back to this youtube thing what's going on there hey 23 subscribers yeah are you gonna what are you uh what are you filming drug videos okay all right cool what kind of trucks do you like filming big sneakers there you go do you see any big sleepers here that you need to get on camera yes yeah i saw one there's a black one over there black peterboat that has a big bunk on it that was pretty cool yeah did you catch the one that has uh the double bunk it's red has two bunks on it oh yes yeah that's pretty cool guy i spoke with him this morning all right that's cool so uh how old are you 10. yeah okay very cool so dad what do you what do you do not truck driver okay where are you around um i run south in this region okay yeah so just uh just getting started in it so i've been driving for a lot since 2005 and okay i don't see myself doing anything else man just driving yeah that's all that's awesome man you got any favorites here at the show so far um it's hard to pick man to be honest it's hard to pick i just love them all man i love them always just a fan of trucks okay so it's hard to pick but if somebody said you can take one of these home with you which one would you take home with you drive off this lot and then you have to make a choice oh he's like smiling but i think blake knows the answer to that uh i'll probably say big daddy i probably have to go with big dad yeah what you thinking yeah yeah absolutely well i know well big daddy there's a lot going on with that truck there a lot to see and uh it's gonna be interesting to see who uh who the crowd the crowd favorite is the people's choice you know that's gonna be interesting here exactly all right guys well enjoy the rest of the show man and i appreciate you stopping by and uh we'll see you as we walk around all right sir have a good one we'll see you soon all right take it easy so darren we're over here at the uh 75 chrome shop their 24th annual uh truck show how's it going for you man man i love it down here the weather is beautiful you know i'm not really a truck show person so this is my first one in probably about two years uh i come down here because i get to see a lot of people on facebook that i never really meet in person and i get to meet them down here put a name to the face face to the name all right awesome that's cool well you know when i had seen on facebook that you're coming down this way i had to make sure that i met you because we've we've crossed path or commented on each other's stuff you know throughout the years so you know when people come this way sometimes they don't come this way very often so yes sir all right let me just put this out here i've been a big fan of yours since before i even got into trucking this is a a pleasure to even be able to stand in front of this camera man so thank you for giving me an opportunity i appreciate that you're absolutely welcome some of the things that you know guys that i get to know over the years they they they become you know role models in essence they become you know you know inspirational to other people and i've seen how you've done things with your dad and how you've you know the things that i've seen yes sir are positive you know we might have our days but right [Laughter] you know these trucks you know you know gosh i can't even say that on camera but i mean i'm cutting that part i know so um so tell us what are we standing in front of right standing in front of a 2001 peterbilt 379 started off as a original 379 sloped short hood and uh what i mean by short hood i mean from the factory they came they started off high here as they came down they sloped down to give the driver a better point of view right but in my opinion it just takes away from the look of the hood so what we did was we built the custom 379 short hood which entails using bigger panels bigger grille surround bigger grille some offer 379 extended hood and in turn you get the straight across like a long hood still with the short hood status everybody does long hood so i figured i'd build a short hood and be different out here all right right on well it looks great i appreciate it thank you very cool so tell me about some of the custom parts that you got going here on this all right i mean well we started from top to bottom man and i mean almost everything besides the paint is has been changed uh we just start up here with the bumper we got a valley chrome 20-inch bumper we got all trucks dual revolution lights across it you know running firestone drives up front there's i mean uh motor-wise we started off with a c-12 took that out it ran for three years once i started using head gaskets i took that out and we built the 2ws motor marine cam marine injectors ceramic manifold bigger turbo basically a brand new motor okay and uh we're putting out at the dyno we're putting out around 750 right to the wheels you know uh we paired it with a built up 13-speed transmission you know 308 rear ends so turned it into a triple digit truck okay and uh basically the whole drive train is brand new uh almost all the stainless that you see from the breathers they came with 13 inch air breathers we went to the 15s the panels here the light panels the boxes the stacks everything came from rainey's chrome shop up in florida uh as far as the stacks they're linking chrome 7 inch wide pipe all the way down to the front you know let me shout out jimmy hall out of hogs repair for building my engine does all of my engine work motor work and stuff did a great job on it you know all right cool and uh that's about it all right cool let's uh keep going further back all right let's speak through the door since the door is open yes sir let's talk about this interior what do you got going in there oh man starting off you know we'll start with the floor this is a dnl design out of texas out of plano texas made for me customly with my pac-man on it he did my interior panels every panel all my speaker covers if you look up there he did the glove box like the pac-man speaker covers up there uh my kick plate over there my knobs he did a lot of it and then it was paired with randy's spare time fair by the uh pennsylvania he did came up with a starburst uh he did a lot of button tuck before i met him and i told him like you know i love your work but i wanted something different to stand out with my short hood and he came up with this old hot rod starburst pattern to go with the lights that he put in there and it turned out paired up real good so from front to back sleeper everything is all done same color and everything paired together real well legacy low seats on it and uh yeah all right so we gotta ask uh why pac-man what's what's the back story on pac-man pac-man well my dad he was the owner operator for as long as i remember he's been doing it for 52 years and when i used to go to the truck stop with him while he was asleep i would steal his quarters out of the little change machine thing and i'd be in there burning his quarters up and then he one day just said uh where you going at pac-man and from there on out it just stuck man and when i got old enough to get my truck and finally get into the truck and that's what i named my company that is awesome yes sir that is really really cool so um let's uh let's work for walk further back and uh i got a question to ask you about uh ben and school there yes sir oh uh no but you guys look cool leaning back like that [Laughter] and she thinks that she's gonna get out of the camera there so who are these folks you might as well give them a shout out since this year introduce yourself these are my peoples i met them down here at the truck show yeah even also okay ashley ashley rebecca all right cool all right so uh looking back here what do we got going on back here all right back here you know standard peter belt mud flaps you know all trucks lights back here oh trucks lights you know this right here was made by trick trucks over there profab in uh pennsylvania right uh we move around trinity custom stretch my truck okay you know got the hodge built half fenders i took some old battery box mud flaps cut the pewter belt sign out of them and just stuck them back there a little touch on it you know why not uh started out as a 250 inch wheel base truck we stretched it out to 298 okay uh panel back here made by dnl designs uh got trucks lights all in the back everything is dual revolution you know goes on uh ease on up you want to look in i'll cut the light on for you right quick and all of that was done you know give me a second i get on everything in here is dual revolution goes from red to white you know got the 43-inch on the wall got my mexican heritage blanket in here man i love that look at that and uh everything back here besides the speaker covers was done by randy the speaker covers done by dnl designs and uh this is my home away from home so you know all right sure i'll have you come back out and ask a question about cdl school you mentioned when you bought this truck so tell me about uh getting in the trucking yeah and things like that you said that your dad you know you rode along with your dad so yes sir tell me how long you've been trucking and what that was like okay starting out all right well in 2015 i had an epiphany that i was tired of doing what i was doing and i figured out i wanted to go ahead and start driving truck so what i did was i went and signed up for a community college course that was six weeks long and uh i started that january the 1st 2016. uh i bought this truck uh off of a guy in pittsburgh he was getting out of it it had a bad motor so he gave it to me for a good deal as a starter truck and uh i graduated february the 24th 2016 uh march the 4th my authority went active in march 7th i pulled my first load under pacman transport and i've been doing it ever since that's awesome yes sir that is very cool i appreciate that man and my first year uh ran mostly off the load board okay and uh i really got into starting to fix my truck up and stuff so i had my drive van trailer and what i did was i got it wrapped the same color as the as this with my pacman logo on side of it and in doing that a lot of people were wondering why i was spending so much money early on but my dad always taught me that your image in trucking is everything when you pull into a customer the first thing they see is your truck before they know how good of a person you are they see your equipment and make a judgment off of that so my dad told me to always make sure i presented myself well and that would go a long way and uh that in turn got me my first contract and for the last five years i've been pulling for the same people off and on besides doing a little farmer helping farmers out with produce but other than that been all just the same customer so that's great yeah ups and downs as far as you know with fuel price fluctuating regulations and things but i wouldn't change it for the world i love it i love it but you know your dad gave you some really sound advice uh obviously it's paid off what other things has your dad said or taught you that has benefited you along the way well his main thing that he drilled into me besides your appearance was never be a slave to a payment he said in trucking the way it fluctuates if you ever get a good run in it you make sure you pay your equipment off so when things start to go bad you're not forced to be out here you're not forced to have to pull loads just to say your wheels are turning so with that in mind uh i currently own two pewter belts uh both paid off my dad drives my other one for me and i own five spread axle drive vans uh three stainless i got one that's wrapped the same colors this with pac-man on it and i bought the gambler trailer off the guy down in texas that had the kenny rogers theme on it so i bought that one and everything paid off everything is good so when times get rough me and my dad kick back and tell rates come up or whatever happens but we're not slave to the payment you know yeah yes sir again more sound advice all right so let's let's go up this way and look through the driver door yes sir since we've peeked through the passenger door uh what's the the favorite thing that uh people love about your truck here at the truck show when they come up that floor i mean they they go crazy over the floor and just the interior in general just you know how it's put together they see a lot of outside done but they don't really see the detail as far as somebody going that detailed on the interior and uh that really draws them in and then once they know this is a short hood that really sends them over because they've never seen a short hood done up like that so it turned it out real good very nice well you know what darren one of these days we're gonna have to catch you out there on the highway on the big road and see what this thing sounds like oh man i'll give you a show out there all right i promise yeah maybe we can get dad rolling along with you huh that would be perfect right there man i create so many memories with my dad because one day that's all i have left so i my dad my best friend man he gave me solid advice throughout my whole life raised me correctly and right now i got him a deal where he pulled he drives for me and i got him where he leaves out at seven o'clock in the morning home by three o'clock back home with my mom they've been married 39 years and i don't want him out on the road but i want him to stay active so he'll lose what he got yeah all right well thanks a lot for your time and we'll see you soon i appreciate it thank you all right bro [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] hey klaus how are you i'm good how are you chris good to see you good to see you again well you know the last couple of years uh here at the the trucks i've always run into you so it's always a pleasure to see you here at the show well i come here because i love the equipment and i love the people and of course i love your videos because i watch you on youtube all the time great job cool cool now where are you located where are you from i'm from north florida in jacksonville okay so you wrote down yes before the show i do this for every year for the last 20 years all right so now have you gotten a chance to look at the whole lot yeah i just got here i'm about a third of the way through okay okay well well i'm gonna put you on the spot with that third did you come from the bobtail area you know i came in at the front and sort of ventured along the east side of the park lot okay so you got to see a decent amount of combos so there are some good looking trucks on that end so so what do you see on that row let's let's narrow it down to that on that combo row what'd you see that really stood out uh the first one that really caught my eye was bill breathwich from uh wisconsin beautiful build i watched that on youtube over the mid-america show and then there's a bunch of others that i saw the blue pete with the gullwing doors on the hood that took a lot of work a lot of care i appreciate that yes both of those trucks are standout trucks um i believe the second truck you're talking about is mr gribble's truck uh that has he's transformed that over the last year that i've seen it and it's just a beautiful beautiful truck what else stood out to you i like the car haulers i like the heavy haul i like the reefers there's nothing here that really is is not worthy of mention they're all excellent i appreciate all the care and the time that the owners put into it yeah you appreciate that i appreciate that i mean speaking directly to the guys that spend days and if not weeks prior to the show cleaning i mean this is what what you guys do it for a gentleman like this that come out and appreciate you guys doing that i'd like to thank everybody for all the contributions that they do for this show and yourself included because when i'm at home at night my my habit is to click on youtube and look at trucks my wife will tell you i'm crazy yeah that's awesome people don't understand how hard it is to be a truck driver it's a very challenging job but when you have equipment at this level where you have to not only work hard during your job maintain it and keep it at that high high level my hats go off to them i i can't say enough about the dedication of the families the children the wives the support the drivers everybody that puts into it it's uh it's an amazing thing to watch absolutely i hope you enjoy the rest of the the browsing here and i will see you probably a little bit later if you're sticking around for the light show i'm gonna try to yes sir okay all right all right we'll see you later good to see you guys likewise [Music] so josh how's it going man it's going really well great well it's saturday and we're over here at the 24th annual 75 chrome shop truck show and uh how's the the response been to the truck that you're brought out man it's been phenomenal you know this is a family-oriented event it's been good to see the wives the dads the kids all get involved and love the truck yeah so this truck has been it's been around at uh you know most folks are familiar with it but why not give us a quick back story on it and then talk about what you've done with it yeah sure so this is the disorderly conduct originally owned by paul voigt built in 2010 by brian and the guys at chrome shop mafia it was a working show truck at the time and paul ran it you know for a few years in the circuit and was super successful even back in 2010 it was kind of ahead of its time for 2010 chrome shop really kind of broke some things out and with their fab work on the fenders and the fuel tanks and a few other things they just really set this truck apart in 2010 and so that's kind of where their groundwork was laid on this truck and in 2013 mr todd with clean slate environmental was hired by a gentleman who purchased the truck from mr paul to break this thing down to frame and completely rebuild it and so they took it down to frame and they took the the groundwork that paul and chrome shop laid and kept that on the truck and then just kind of added to it so you took a great build and made it better and went strictly show at that point it was no longer working class and last time it was shown was in 2015 the mats it went here sema in dallas and then it's pretty much been in a shop ever since it's made a few car shows here and there up in the north the chicago area and i was able to get it last year through truett nova side at equipment express and we took it and you know everyone's got a different a different style and 2015 tribal and that kind of builders class was super popular then and right now less is more so we took it and we just basically took everything off that was all then and just kind of leaned her up a little bit and just added to it and try to make it more of a family-friendly truck and put my own spin on things that i like and my own flavor nice all right so speaking of your your spin and your flavor since we're back here on the on the back section of the truck uh what are some of the things that you've changed on the truck yeah so everything on this back in here for the fenders we've pretty much left all of this alone okay and the changes that we've made have been from your your boxes forward okay so we've built all new drop paneling we built toolbox new toolboxes for it mr paul uh down at equipment express ms greg they they handled that okay now if it wouldn't mind we'll ask some of your guys to kind of you know lead the way and give us a little room where we can walk up that way and have a look yep you got lots of folks checking your truck out so we don't want to we don't want to bump in we'll center this way yeah so we come in here and inside added a mirror up there with disorderly conduct the name okay that actually lights up and everything at night time as well we hand built all the drop paneling there at the shop what we've done on this side is we changed our drop panels if you remember when mr todd had it it had the large travel panels that's all been changed your steps here we've custom made those steps in the shop there changed out the pedaling back to the way it was when mr paul had it those are the original words that were on it freeze stop and evade that's pretty cool disorderly conduct yeah that is real cool all right what else do we got going on as a addition so right now you know the style is lean you know so we changed out the breathers and changed out the breather panels with strapless breathers um we also changed our drop visor we added the bus glass i'm a huge fan of bus glass changed our mirror brackets out just everything we could do to try to lean her up okay there's no lights in the in your breather panel okay anything going on in the engine bay that's a bit different than what it was yeah there's something in the engine bay that's a little bit different but it's going to be on the other side all right so let's make our way over there so with this being a family show and we knew all the kids that were going to be here this isn't something we had at mats but we decided that we wanted to unveil it here at 75 chrome as we added a fish tank into the into the engine bay now that's a first for me it's probably a first for for a lot of other people so how did that come about the idea to add a fish tank so when we were at mid-america we had we had just distilled water in it and food coloring there instead of windshield washer fluid and we were kind of all just sitting around in a circle you know it's cold at mid america and we were all just staring at it and i said man if we got fresh water in there i said we uh we might as well put some fish in there it's something the kids would really love and it's something this truck has something for pretty much everyone to look at but the kids okay and we knew that this show was so popular with the kids we wanted to give them something to look at and and that's the response has been great we've had some kids bring their mom and dad back four or five times now getting a good look in this area and in the tank you're speaking about it how many fish do you actually have in there so we have two disc fish in there and then we have five year ways and then we also have a florida native crawfish in there as well so if you look in the back it's hiding right now they're nocturnal but we have a blue crawfish that matches our paint scheme in the back as well so you mentioned nocturnal so they're going to come out during the light show they get very active really yes and there's a there's a light in here as well so it's it's a good look very cool uh is there anything else that uh that you plan on doing or have done that you haven't mentioned yet so far man there's quite a few things coming but we're just gonna hold those underneath the curtain until we're ready to open them up all right very cool so tell me about the show what have you liked about the the show so far you know my my favorite thing about this show which is pretty common with my show that we do at dragon and pulling in the pines with kelly truck parts is it's family oriented it's been so nice to see everyone bring their kids out get involved you know trucking is cool you know what we do is is great and if we can keep these kids involved and around our industry and understand how important it is and to want to be a part of it then uh it's going to help us in the future and feel like you know feeling filling those spots so that's one of the reasons we did the tank you know i want my kids to come over here see the trucks cool i want your kids to see the trucks cool kids that aren't familiar with trucking that are just here with their parents you know you want them to remember stuff like this and understand that what we do is cool it's special so and that show i love it because i feel like it's for the kids all right well josh we appreciate it and we'll see you soon yes sir thanks chris [Applause] [Music] [Music] we're here at the 24th annual 75 chrome shop truck show and we're gonna do some introductions here so we're gonna start with dad josh uh josh martinez yeah leah martinez ella elijah ezekiel you guys are good they've been on camera before no no all right well you guys are pros so what do you think about the show so far awesome yeah it's awesome yeah great turnout all the vendors are awesome you know just really cool atmosphere to be a part of it's exciting to see everybody here with the generations too i think that's my favorite part for sure seeing big families here yeah where are you guys from ruskin just south of here okay not very far yeah hop on the hop on the turnpike or the 75 and set the cruise control right here now you guys would uh you got any favorite trucks that you see here that you want to take back home with you i wanted to take 193. i wanted better prepared than me i don't know any of the numbers of any of the trucks i'm gonna have to end up my game yeah we're here with our uh father-in-law well my father-in-law and mother-in-law too okay now you gotta come over here come on come on how you doing sir good good what's your name god bless you danny martinez danny nice to meet you yes sir all right well i'm filming you while you feel me okay right on very cool very cool are you guys gonna get to stay for the light show tonight i think yeah i think we're definitely going to come back for that we're just happy to be here and we really appreciate you having us on the show man absolutely thanks for the videos we really enjoy them you're welcome it's nice to be here for once absolutely well i'll see you soon thanks buddy all right goodbye [Music] we're here at the 24th annual 75 chrome shop truck show and we're standing here talking to uh lincoln williamson how are you doing good man how are you doing well well you know he caught my attention the other day when uh i think it was like like a wednesday uh when you guys pulled in here to the to the lot and everybody's still getting situated and cleaning up and we're standing there watching from a distance watching you shove the trailer that was attached to this truck back in a hole and we were thinking oh is he gonna get it on the one shot and tell you what we all were surprised and then and then uh your dad come up and he started telling us about you and everything you need to keep in mind he's only 20 years old yeah yeah that was awesome everyone's saying he's pretty good ain't gonna brag can we but he's been around that one that's impressive does he belong to you yeah what's his name lincoln williamson and your name sir elvis williams nice to meet you i've been driving since i was 18. got my cdl day i turned 18. and i've been raised around them my whole life i grew up wanting to drive one and i've been taught by the best there is so i mean i was blessed and able to have the opportunity to be able to be taught by a veteran driver that's that's where all that comes in okay cool veteran driver so uh who's that that would be my dad yeah okay how long has he been on the road my dad's been trucking since 1974. nice all right so that'll be him he he taught me everything i know okay and uh how old are you up currently do what how old are you currently i'm 20. okay 20 years old so uh at madison's about two years yeah on the road cool so out of those uh well let's let's go back to this training that you have is top-notch training from your father what are some of the things that that he's taught you that you've been able to utilize right away well what before i got my cdl he put me in a truck we would get to the yard backing around um when we would work on trailers we putting trucks in and out of the shop back when we had a bunch of trucks and he would put me in there and said take your time do it right the first time and you won't have to go back over it if you do it right the first time you got it and he took me and he sat me down and he took the time with me to show me how to blindside trailers in how to back up in the hole pull in the hole watch your sides i mean everything that i know how to do it come from him because he sent me down to show me the basics before i even got my cdl and i right after right before i got my cdl i learned to drive in a 379 379 x he showed me how to drive we'd back into them sand plants he'd get out go check in i'd back it up for him put it in the hole and anytime something broke if i didn't know how to fix it already he told me come right here and you watch me because if you ever get out on the road and you need to fix this it's temporary fixed you can get to a shop somewhere and i can work on all my stuff work on my own truck whatever i'm not necessarily stranded unless it's something catastrophic i can get off the road that's great you know what at the age that you are again that's really inspirational and uh i'm sure your dad's proud of you i'm proud of you to to hear that and going i appreciate it being your age and being a you know stand-up individual at that age is great because a lot of us we know what some of the other folks at your age what they're doing and what they're interested in and it's not something similar to this um nothing wrong with that but at the same time we need folks like you you know young guys like you want to come out here and you learn the right way and and do it the right way so i appreciate it absolutely so speaking of trucks let's talk about this truck that we're in front of okay and then we'll talk about some other truck stuff as well so what are we in front of here well this is the truck that i'm driving for my dad this is a 2007 379 legacy it's got a 625 cat with a 20 series 18 speed factory never been stretched 295 wheelbase with 325 rears and uh it's still got all the legacy pipes the legacy visor and we just got it out of the paint shop not too long ago put the the paint we it was peeling a little bit on the hood so we went ahead and tore it all down we painted the whole truck and then we put the stripes on it looking at this paint job that really looks great and is this what the truck looked like prior to it no no the truck prior went to new york city and we and we bought the truck and uh we brought it home it was just it was that color red but the truck was peeling on the hood and the fenders it was faded real bad so we stripped it down and we painted it and then we put the stripes we put the big american eagle bumper on it we painted the deep pan half fenders on the back put the sleeper lights we put fancy on the sleeper and we done some a little bit of interior we just splashed just a little bit of red in there on the door and the column just a little bit how many miles is on this truck million 130 000. so she's been around the block a couple all times let's move back this way what do you like the most about this truck probably the way it rides it rides like a car it's so it's so tight and so new and to me because i'm used to driving a 95 flat top and it's just so right and so comfortable that's really why we don't want to start changing a whole lot because then you start taking away from the ride and everything but we've got underglows you know red underglow lights from the front bumper to the back we've done to it um we painted everything we we've done these fenders they were uh scuffed up beat up real bad we brought them back to life put the red on them and uh we had the frame painted but the uh american class or pride in class i'm sorry tried and class much laps on the back with the with the mud flap hangers and the lights and that's really about it we've just been running the crap out of it and making money with it hey that's that's what it's all about exactly right get something that's going to be reliable you get down the road and cast those checks so um you mentioned that you're used to driving another truck so tell me about that uh that truck and i believe that belongs to you well that truck is that one's mine it's a 95 pink and white flat top 300 inch wheel base with a 6 cent z cap 10 10 over transmission and 336 rears and as right now we're getting it a little touch up here and there i don't want to say too much because it's gonna because when it pops it's gonna be the element of surprise i want everybody to be surprised with it it's it's very well known on tick tock bumping 50 000 followers on there they love the truck all right what's your name on the tick tock uh lincoln williamson four okay all right cool all right very nice now uh well we'll be looking forward to it i'm looking forward to seeing it when it's finished oh yes and uh now you mentioned um we talked briefly the other day you you mentioned a a real nice feel-good story that involved you doing something for uh for for a kid that was uh i guess had some issues at the time so tell us about that well i was at home i had totaled out my pickup as some people know and i was pinned in that pickup for two hours they had to cut me out i broke everything from the knees down so i mean i was messed up and i sat at home for probably two and a half months and the right leg was healed up good my ankles were healed up good but my left leg was still cracked real bad but i got a call from my cousin of mine that works in a uh a home uh i don't know how you word it uh just a place where people stay you know when they're hurting they can they can rest and get took care of and uh he called me up he said hey man i need to ask you a favor i said what you got he said i got a friend of mine named jarvis he's 32 years old and he's got maybe a month to live and he wants to become a truck driver so bad he can't stand it so when they found jarvis and brought him out of his home to the place where he was at now he's got truck posters all over his room he loves trucks seabees so uh i said okay i said well i got talking they was going to move him to ellisville mississippi i said when y'all get him moved to ellisville call me i'll come get him but keep in mind my left leg for the clutch is still broke i can't hardly even walk on i was on crutches and they moved to ellisville and as soon as they did they said he's going down fast he you know sooner the better well the day after he got to ellisville i jumped the truck i shot up there i just you know used the clutch in my right leg bumped it out of gear you know how you can bump it out with the fuel pedal just to put it neutral use it little as possible and i took him from i picked him up around ellisville and i brought him down to hattiesburg there at exit 60 turned around and we went back then we went and ate lunch together and i spent the day with him and i i made his day and everybody had me crying because he he was about to tear up in that truck and it made it all worth it and after that i got his phone number and he uh he's still doing good he uh pulled through that rough time he was in he's 33 now and i went picked him up a couple more times and took him on a few little short runs that i had local and he's all around a good-hearted person i mean he he's a good guy he really is that's great it's nice that you're able to pay it forward and you know give you know give someone a hands-on experience you know being in a truck and seeing what it's like out there right you know that's great you gotta you gotta take care of your own you know sometimes you gotta slow down and and help those that can't help themselves you know all he wanted was to ride in a truck i don't think that's too much to ask i mean one day i might be old real old and just want to go ride one more time before i die that'd be all i asked you know if i could i'm sure that'll be what my last wish would be so i wanted to fulfill that for him that's cool now you mentioned something about the news being involved or something because yeah how'd that work um the new local muse channel heard about our story and one of the news anchors called me one day and i was actually in the big truck leaving to go load i was going up to north mississippi to get a load and she called me she said hey we're in hattiesburg we'd like to do interview on you and your truck about the story with jarvis i said well i said it's kind of a bad moment i'm leaving right now going to load and she said where can i meet you at i said exit 60 right there at the truck stop on 59 and she she didn't hesitate she shot over there and we'd done the interview right in the right in the parking lot as i was going to load and it went on that news channel they aired it and i thought that was going to be the end of it you know i was that was awesome to me and then uh the another local news channel that's a little bit bigger than wdam and wlox picked it up and they put it on their news channel and it kind of went viral there for a little while and it was it was really humbling to be able to see that on tv yeah that's cool man you know what that's what happens when you you know when you're a good person you do do what you're supposed to and and you're and you're selfless so everything comes back around yes sir i guess so all right well it's been a pleasure talking to you man and uh yes i enjoy oh you know i gotta ask you you know we're here at the show uh tell me your opinion of this show 75 chrome shop it's one of the best shows of the year it's always pretty weather great people and you get to sit around and you get new ideas when you come down here and you look at all these guys like i mean all these trucks has got something just a little bit different how long you been trucking for oh about 25 years okay very good but since well you know the 90s about 97 i got into it okay and try to get out a couple times just can't leave it alone yeah what brought you back in uh just the freedom of it um you know you kind of like do your own thing get a chance to travel around meet new people uh see everybody's different lifestyles what have you you know that's the biggest thing you know you know the freedom of it all right cool cool now what do you think about the show as a whole i mean i know you kind of summer it up some summed it up but what do you think about the show as a whole being your first time here i'm impressed so far um i would encourage anybody who wants to come out and see a different aspect of trucking to see some of the equipment the guys put the heart and soul in you know whenever you get a chance to come down next year or go to visit another show um i definitely plan on coming back you know all right very cool now
