  1. The fact that Nick addressed the team and told them, "I'm going to play better" after the end of the regular season hit me right in the feels. He's been open about knowing that he struggled then but it still takes a lot of humility.

  2. Duce is such a great coach - love the bit where LG was telling him that he expected a different handoff from Nick and Duce was just like, "...well have you told him?? What are you waiting for, go tell him!"

  3. I want Brandon Graham to be a career Eagle and will cry a river of tears if he leaves after this year. I love him so much.

  4. Definitely gonna miss Blount - love that he said this Super Bowl was the most meaningful and the most memorable to him. :'-)

  5. My favorite bit might have been Foles saying re: the Philly Special, "The problem was that it was loud..." and Carson just looking at him like he was crazy and going, "THE PLAY WAS PERFECT!"

  6. I've said before that I think the TD pass to Corey has to be one of the, if not the, best passes I've ever seen Foles throw, so it was really neat to hear him say the same!

Love it when Foles asks Doug what’s the plan and Doug covers his mouth with play card and says we are going to score a touchdown. I’ve seen that clip 20 times and it cracks me up every time!! FOOTBALL EVE BABY! LETS GO!!

I have downloaded this, along with the other long form pieces that NFL Network and NFL Films has made since I don't trust that these will be on the internet forever.

Then I synced them on my personal Google Drive so I can access them anywhere

it's called the City of Brotherly Love and in 2017 Philadelphia's football players expressed their love for each other often love just means you care for one another unconditionally you know you have no hidden agenda you really want what's best to the person next to you and with that you can do amazing things I think that's just something that spoke a lot about our team all year long you know the love that we had for each other the way we respected each other you know you have guys from all walks of life all different kinds of religion political views anytime you can get a group of guys that come together for one common goal and just genuinely appreciate each other telling guys you love them was easy you know because we genuinely did the bond between the band of brothers is matched only by the adoration the city's fanbase has for its football team [Music] when I first got there I was met at the airport by a bunch of fans you know one of the first things they were saying was man you're gonna bring us a Super Bowl here every single year I played in Philly around training camp hearing from the fans this is the year we feel this is the year playing in the city I think you do feel that extra burden that extra responsibility but I think you embrace it you know how hungry they had been for Super Bowl I had a guy crying in front of me you know de saying like please please man I need to get to the Super Bowl and we need to win it before I die and you know he's just sitting there like I'm getting teary eye right now it had been a long time since the Eagles won a championship and some wondered if only an act of God can bring them a Super Bowl title but Doug Peterson had a premonition prior to the start of the 2017 season when he said that you know I know he took a lot of flack for it and might might have sounded crazy at the time but he knew exactly what he was talking about when he said that I believe that and I believe that our whole won't believe they believe it man believe it the Eagles championship chase began in Washington their first touchdown was a microcosm of a season long journey full of twists turns an unbelievable quarterback play [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] my biggest thing is always just harping on those guys to not quit you know the plays never dead always stay alive the Eagles first game ended much like their season wood with a Brandon Graham strip sack being a pivotal play [Music] [Applause] if it seemed like Graham got to Kirk Cousins in a hurry there was a reason for that you know certain things we look for as a defensive lineman that get it gives us an edge it's just something he does that can't tell you but a bowl we figured it out [Applause] I just trusted it it got me off the ball faster than that alignment Rams game clinching strip sack was a sign of things to come that's gonna take a 61 yard field goal attempt guys a superhero if he makes it knowing it's a 61 yard field goal you don't see that every day I'll give him my game Jackie Mason I'm saying was mic dub saying that I'll give him my game check if he makes this and and you know I just not that I didn't have faith in him but I was just so in the moment so excited it would be the perfect time to not say that with your mic don't hold your breath come on come on big for 61 yards all the spotted the kick is away and the kick is [Applause] in 2017 the second-year quarterback gave the Eagles plenty of reasons to celebrate I think the looseness you're born with an innate sense of awareness and those types of things you can practice it without a doubt work on your escape ability work on your quickness all of those things but a lot of it is just feel and instincts and I think not credited a lot back to you know being a multi-sport athlete and sit around and watch much TV as a kid I was just always being outside always being on the go just exposed me to just a new sense of athleticism that I think is just really you know been beneficial to me in my career and just allowed me that extra sense of competitiveness and the elusiveness along with it he's an athletic kid he's a really special kid a winner it was a big part of why I wanted to go that I wanted to play with Carson Wentz having won two Super Bowls with Tom Brady LeGarrette Blount knows a great quarterback when he sees one can't put him in front of Tom right now but they definitely has the potential to be a net elite class of quarterbacks that's played in this league and as a kid Wednes himself recognized quarterbacking greatness growing up someone I always watched was Brett Favre I just always loved the way he was kind of just fearless you know I kind of that gunslinger mentality that's what you just can't teach somebody that kind of play making ability there wins championships I just love the game I love I love life were you able to go out there have fun with it you know do what you love to do and you're one of the best at it and he's from us and it's a huge play by BG you tend to probably smile all the time [Music] he just has a infectious personality but as a leader guys see his energy and his work ethic and everything he's about [Music] Graham had a career-high nine and a half sacks in 2017 and the minister from Michigan was more than happy to deliver the occasional sermon to his opponents [Laughter] party at the lake not a dancing going on at Philadelphia right now and why not few teams in football history had as much fun as the 2017 Eagles from the end of September through November the Eagles won nine straight games and six times they scored more than 30 points whooping and once we got in that middle of your stretch where we were just rolling teams I think our confidence was just kind of at an all-time high and I think at that point we were just kind of saying all right we're the real deal it's gonna come through the link it was kind of our mindset at that point let's go let's go win this East when the Eagles arrived in Los Angeles in week 14 they were a win away from a division title they took the field like they normally did with Carson Wentz leading the way the Eagles season took a dramatic turn on a play whence probably ran at recess hundreds of times my first read wasn't there my second or he wasn't there I just kind of took off you know I saw a big opening I said oh this is gonna be easy I'm gonna get to the end zone everyone thought was a touchdown but there's a penalty that brought it back I remember watching him get up and there was a little bit of a hobble I thought it was so fluky just the way they both hit me from different angles and just that the torque I put on my leg and on my knee I knew when I got up something wasn't right I've still wondered why I didn't come out honestly at that point it's just we're down there at the goal line I just said I'm gonna finish this Drive and then go see they just rushed three on that fourth down and the other time I would have been scrambling around at that point I had all the time in the world and nobody opened but I knew I couldn't move I was just trying to find anybody to break free at the time you're hoping for the best you're hoping hey maybe you just got like a dead leg maybe it's you know he'll be okay in a couple plays he'll be ready to roll because you want him to succeed you want him to go out there and lead the team like he'd been doing all year well nobody wants to see this Carson Wentz's going off to get looked at in the locker room that was a long walk it was emotional there was a lot of things going through my head from as my season over or am I gonna come back out here in five minutes like I didn't know exactly what to expect gunfire's a complaint like detects the razzle-dazzle and now it's intercepted by the Eagles on the pitch and it's a touchdown [Music] [Music] met everybody at the door when they came in the locker room on crutches obviously guys were kind of concerned but I said don't worry about me we just won the East like let's go let's go party but it was it was definitely bittersweet for me after a season in Kansas City Bulls returned to Philadelphia from the moment he got here I thought we just hit it off he was confident from the moment he jumped in there he was making plays [Music] in his first start Foles threw four touchdown passes against the Giants there was still hope in Philly but in foals final two games he struggled there is concern about this team's offensive state of readiness going into the postseason I'm aware of it I know how I played I'm my toughest critic if there was already a little bit of pressure all the pressure came at this point he addressed a team and told the team like I'm gonna play better like I'm gonna be better than this in the playoffs foals may have had confidence in himself but the rest of the football world was skeptical is favored it was working me Ellis man I was like I can't wait to prove these people wrong every time you look at the TV is you know well they don't have Carson without Carson they can't compete obviously the underdog thing kind I was born then Kris long and lane Johnson I was actually there the moment they talked about in the training room they talked about we should get dog masks and I thought they were out of their mind joking but they really went and got dog masks kind of just fit the mold of Philly and you know that kind of underdog mentality against the Falcons the underdogs dropped the ball literally I was just used to getting the ball from Carson he hands it off firmly maker was more so handing it off you know he'll just like put it there and just let you take it it's like it's like when you run you tell them I'm thinking that you're gonna put it into my stomach and you're thinking that I'm just gonna take it out your hands so that ain't gonna work we didn't have any issues going on because we talked about it we addressed it and we move forward and we fixed it [Applause] LeGarrette Blount scored Philadelphia's only touchdown and in a defensive battle the Eagles season came down to fourth in gold this isn't the play of the game folks this is the play of the season it was nerve-racking I'm just making Julio how do you feel on this one if you hide on it [Applause] when it happened it was just kind of like slow-motion the ball goes up I hold my breath when that ball went up I I thought there's a good chance he was coming down with it from the Super Bowl the first first seed to be an underdog I didn't have a mask off but I was barking my face is way too pretty for a dog mask I thought it was funny I loved watching Chris and Lane just feed themselves and you know their personalities that just wasn't me plus I was you know with a cane or crutches at the time I just don't know if that was really the look I was going for I was a dog mask and a cane the following week there was a look many at the link were going for oh yeah I got look at the gear down here look up the middle to the five Peter [Applause] my friends power in the underdogs or once again barking you can't be denied it up go get them breathe [Music] those looks very very confident it dick we trust they comfortable right now boy he does had to get in reps oops steps up he is looking he is going deep and alone and for the touchdown [Applause] one of my favorite things about coach Peterson as a play caller is just his aggressiveness as a quarterback in it as a player that plays for him that gives us confidence it just showed throughout the playoffs in those big moments ago he didn't back down he stayed aggressive [Applause] the whole mentality of our team at that point was just we're not gonna back down though we've had injuries that we've gone through adversity we're still gonna keep throwing punches and being aggressive and I think that's sent a message to our entire team and to the entire nation superb old 52 was played on February 4th that's a big important day in my family because my baby girl turned to her birthday is February 4th and my wife birthday is February 5th and so I told him and y'all gift this year as a Super Bowl champion I told the wife that we gonna have a parade for her birthday LeGarrette Blount knew all about the Eagles opponent you want to rings as a patriot and he couldn't have been happier to be facing his former team on football's biggest stage it was perfect it was perfect the way things ended there was a not to my liking I had told them how bad I wanted to be there at how how much I wanted to stay there and I didn't want to leave and you know they couldn't get a deal done for me I just feel like they didn't respect me you know at all revenge is a dish best served cold the gametime temperature outside of Minnesota was in the single digits inside LeGarrette Blount was turning up the heat on his old team [Music] [Applause] those days going deep [Applause] then you keep learning all the place alright she's running all over me I was so ready I was so hyped up about it what the filler was unmatched this Super Bowl was definitely the most memorable and the most meaningful to me in Philly they trust the process Doug Peterson trusts his players you want Philly food [Music] you trust us and at that moment he trusted me to ask for a play and he has to approve it he could easily say hey we'll save it but at that time you know that's a play where he's like man if he's feeling it let's go Billy special ready [Music] we caught it I was I was like this is a touchdown this is it goes directly to Clement lemon reverses it everything the day's don't we go catch him adieu [Applause] [Music] see this play call has a chance to be remembered as one of the all-time great [Applause] Lane Lane was the cadence for that one every time he'd be yelled at in practice it just seemed weird that he was yelling lanes name the problem was it was loud I know I know it no I know [Music] [Applause] that's making the game fun that whole play just summed up who we were you know coaches creativity you know guys stepping up that you know weren't in those roles normally guys that were undrafted guys that had chips on their shoulders guys that you know weren't always in the stat book and everyone just contributing and being a part of something bigger I thought just really summed up the whole season it summarized this because it was a bold play we were bold with the play called it wasn't a chance cuz we believed in one another [Music] [Applause] Brandon Graham may have been hungry to get to Tom Brady but the Patriots quarterback ate the Eagles alive [Music] throwing for a Super Bowl record 505 yards for Philadelphia Doug Peterson's best defense was an aggressive offense he was going deep not a touchdown when we drew it up we wanted like one-on-one coverage but turned out that there was three guys in the general area I remember you know as I'm going through my progression I get to Cory and I see it and my brain triggers like whoa like he's covered but then I saw like a little led up by one of the defenders in my body and just pulled the trigger I just let it rip because I was playing with feel I wasn't trying to like read it perfectly like it was on a piece of paper like you're taught one of the best paths I've ever thrown [Music] I knew that the only way that we would lose this game is that take our foot off the gas will start being conservative Oh [Music] hammered out if you take it for off the guys these guys will come back and it will break your heart it's gonna be fourth down for someone on our own side of the 50 Super Bowl we don't get it chances are we probably don't win the game I don't know if I felt the the magnitude of the moment I was just playing ball I don't think I took a step towards the sideline because I knew he was gonna go for it I can't believe this knows no fear I think that's the confidence we had in the huddle there wasn't any fear in the guys eyes we were all playing with boldness Doug Peter said what's a gamble here close by fires pose completes it move to change well what's your thought process right now hi we're one [Music] five touch them [Applause] takes your breath away that's it [Music] everything you've got everything you've got busy let's go let's go one play just one play and that's all we was talking about I remember Nick coming up to us a stripper stripper he was at two minutes at 21 seconds away from winning in a Super Bowl but there's a man by the name of Tom Brady who will have something to say about that during that time I was a nervous wreck for real pretty back again he says of his head they finally [Applause] all I remember is shag Mason was pulling my arm but my outside arm was free and I just reached he came through when I knocked that ball out and I put it on the ground and I seen Derek Barnett pick it up it was like heaven on earth mana gives me goosebumps every time it's like man I made that play what was it different about this one because uh because it was no longer [Music] just to get to that moment and win that game and against that team and I'll be able to play as much of a role as I played in it it was just one of the most special moments that I could that I have ever had in my career and then after the game bill came up to me and told me you know their job LG you deserve it bill yeah did that surprise you no you you feel ever been a part of it and in those moments you know the Super Bowl celebration everything you just try and celebrate try and be in that moment with your team but when you leave there and you know you weren't the one actually on the field actually playing there's a little bit of extra motivation to get back there [Applause] more than any other Super Bowl win that I've ever had they were way more appreciative because it was the first one we stayed together that's that brotherly love we talked about in Philadelphia it was this one guy he see me he hugged me but fit but he was just crying like I'm just so happy right now bad you just don't know what you did for this city it was more than just a game it was something that people have waited for their entire life don't truly are the best football fans in the world and you make it up joy and a pleasure playfully seem like genuinely how it looked like that we changed their life we gave them almost hope and like just restored something and then it was just kind of unbelievable to see that the passion and the joy that came out of people pretty cool to win it for a city like this [Music]
