hello this is their Wagga PI's PS in polish means dog there you go the mystery unveiled [Music] so today we are going to be talking about the reasons why we're still in Japan oh my gosh we looked at our channel and we thought we're being kind of negative about Japan all the videos that we've posted in the last six months are criticizing Japan or giving you some insight on how on the negative aspect here weird and everybody's like what is going on over there like are you guys okay yeah so we thought we would address this and make something positive for once so these are the reasons why we really like Japan my recent reason is the boom of the sparking waters but this is not one of our points food delicious healthy not so healthy variety snack stuff food everything's good here I think once you live here you get accustomed to such high level of quality when I go to other countries then I suddenly remember that I have to kind of pay attention as to where I eat and not to go below a certain threshold of quality and it's not only Japanese things whatever you seen from the world you can imagine they have it here and it's probably very good good example is TGI Fridays and Cherenko tastes really really bad like we go there for the atmosphere but I went there very last week or something and it was good I was happy it's completely satisfied point number two is the transportation comfortable commuting Teresa wrote this is debatable because if you're in my invention the completely compacts nobody can move train you might not find it so comfortable this is insider but like I kind of like full trains because I can just like it's true and they're like that and even if the train moves I can just be like what is like we move together it's comfortable they find it super funny how everybody's packed like sardines yet still they pretend they don't notice each other they're like opened each other's faces and they're checking their phone scared you know I'm touching seven people right now but I'm pretending this is not happening just from my phone my friend says but sometimes if she gets really lonely like she just goes on a full train and she just feels public transportation is really well like well thought out the infrastructure isn't very good you can get anywhere pretty fast you never really feel like I don't know how to get here you know you can I [Applause] just launched Google Maps on my phone and I'm looking for a story one block away or I'm looking for a place in Colbert which is half Japan away from me it's still the same thing it takes three hours 42 minutes to get to this specific point and you can just trust it and it's going to work every single time crazy individual fashion this is what Japan begged me I guess it's just the freedom to be able to wear whatever you want you know it whether you want to wear this or you want to wear like I don't know your entire closet in one go because I've seen it you know I'm not talking corporate world but generally like on the street when you go out you can express yourself through your clothes and nobody really judges you I told the Japanese friends about the whole problems with man rompers in America the other day and she was like what like why would you care what someone else is wearing it like boy the freedom in public space is a really important aspect of being in Japan and you can really feel comfortable and confident no matter how you look what you do for example to me this applies in the sense of I usually go around carrying a camera and I film myself all the time and I talk to the camera all the time and people generally don't pay too much attention to each other because they respect each other's privacy in this sense and this is a pretty pretty nice feeling and our fourth point is friendly moms and pops shops I love how there are so many little nooks and crannies of places that you can go to even chain stores actually my friend was upset about this the other day we went into a Coco curry place and she was like oh can I get the the vegetable curry and they're like oh we don't do that here she's like it's changed you're supposed to do the same yeah but in Japan everywhere is a pretty individual and like different and I can go to cafes that are uniquely that cafe it's nice that Japan holds on to these things and somehow the economy keeps them going whenever I go to the US you can go to a small mountain village and see only Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's and Starbucks and things like that but Japan is the exact opposite there's so many small places and also it's a stereotypical thing but you see it all the time that the owners of these places they're so nice so when you come to Japan pay special attention to these small places that are family-owned and we'll give you some nice memories to have look around walk in to somewhere that you have no idea what it's about take a risk jump in our point number five is the cleanliness and the safety of being in Japan which for me personally it's one of the most important points it's always clean it's always organized people are always flowing perfectly through stations and streets they're very respectful of each other they pay attention to each other nobody wants to be a problem to anybody else you really appreciate this every time I leave Japan I have this critical moment when I get off the plane on the other side and I reach the first escalator why is it so difficult for the entire world to figure out that you should stand on one side and walk on the other side if you're in a hurry Japan makes it look so easy right these all these small details for me it's that breaking point when you go to another country is when you go to line up for the train and there's like a big crowd of people in the middle or like in Korea which is supposed to be similar you line up at the side until the train comes when everybody pushes and fights to get into the side the train which is annoying because I'm small like I can't I get like bruises just trying to get into the train this is the moment where I'm always like I miss Japan and I guess coming from Jamaica safety is like a big one for me but my dad calls me everyone's like once a month and says make sure you're not walking on just on the street with your phone out like don't text and walk and I'm like yeah number six is a close foreigner community I think it's pretty unique to Japan if you're with your four nerd American foreigner community or your Caribbean for Eastern European everybody just feels the foreigner struggle like everyone just feels it so they're just like ready to be like I know the guiding struggle unifies the entire world here is a guy's entire earth of the world is bound together to survive I see it cynically because to me this is a consequence of this kind of divide between Japanese people I hear everybody else so this is a point of consolation more than something I really enjoy but it is a nice thing nontheless he did toilet see I've many foreigners okay including Kasia and it's like when you leave you're like where is my heated toilet seat like truly I feel like I'm surprised every single time and emotion is always oh this is nice I supposed as opposed to oh this is normal I hope this better be here no no but I feel the same way about the today I have another part-time job in there i they don't have heated toilet seats and every single time I'm like oh Sh oh crap it's like what is happening I need it no I don't need it but I like it a point number eight forests mountains there's so much going on right now I mean right now it's kind of a feed around for thousands millions of years this is not fresh news it's really nice Japan has this crazy crazy volcanic landscape when you go outside of Tokyo it becomes very intense very soon it only takes about and maybe an hour to go outside of the central Tokyo area and you suddenly find yourself in a super intense forest and you see Mount Fuji and somewhere in the back and magnificent it's true I mean we drove out of Tokyo to go to go Tambo which is really close like an hour out and the minutes we crossed the line into Gotemba it was snowing and I was like it was snowing hard and it was all over and I was like the magic of the season and of course the Western I when you're in a Japanese forest and suddenly you see a small Shinto shrine it really blows your mind it's a serene sight you can hear these small creatures from like Mononoke yes mother naka or spirited away you can see these small creatures from these movies just like jumping around you yeah yeah yeah I always loved that even though it's huge I find new things all the time like this but I bump into people all the time I see familiar faces I feel comfortable in the places that I go to in New York that never happens for me you have to plan to meet someone to meet someone I have bumped into people that on the other side of the city and I'm like what are you doing here I think the craziest story I've heard about it is kasha once found a phone and she blew out just like a broken phone so she called the number of somebody's recent phone call turns out it was our friends phone it's just dirty million people metropolis and usual and it's your friend's bonus yeah it truly took your magic the everlasting network of Japanese 24-hour come bees this is amazing by Kamini we mean a convenient story that's always open always close and kameez are amazing because they have so much stuff they have snacks and drinks and booze and you you can print stuff you can read magazines it's acceptable to read magazines and compete and they have warm food if you got drunk and you didn't make it home for the for the night and you have to go back your way then you can yeah you need money convenience stores there for you and your irresponsible spending you know you're never at a loss because there's always a Lawson they call them convenience stores abroad too but no baby there in convenience stores they ain't got nothing on Japanese convenience stores people Oh our last bonus point is Japan is eventful there's always something to do here there's always something new or you just see something weird happening in the street and of course after some time off living here you kind of expect these things to happen so if you see a guy dressed up in a Batman suit on the street you don't even notice all the tenants to say oh there's a Batman okay what was they doing there's always somebody with a sign telling you to do something there's apps sending you stuff about new restaurants opening whatever there's magazines like free magazines that tell you about all the different things that happen in Tokyo and every time I'm reading that I'm like dick home that set goes on in jus anything you want google it because it's in Tokyo Tokyo has a bit of everything there's every possible culture subculture whatever you want to buy there's a store there's all the brands in the world they're basically here they have Flag stores here Tokyo specifically it's like an entire country condensed to a size of a city and you can never never ever and fun activities and sights to see you can always go to a different part of the city that you haven't seen before this place is just too big for anybody to understand fully children you can't handle the truth well that was it for today's video we hope you enjoyed it and if you did enjoy this video give us a thumbs up and press the red subscribe button down below and it's the little girl to see what's up on you occupies and in what's up in Japan come to Japan where we're encouraged very fun go it's like it's like having a car warm cedar seat seat
