Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
most wild inning of baseball I've ever seen! Miss these days, hopefully we'll be back there soon...
I remember how worried I was about missing this game.
I had a flight scheduled from Pearson International Airport to New York at 4 pm. Same time the game was starting.
By the time I had touched down at JFK.
It was already the 6th inning. So I'm taking the subway from JFK to Manhattan, and I decided to burn through all my data (I had one of those Roam like at home plans with 6GB.) Side note, Sportsnet mobile app ran like I was still in Canada even when I was in the States.
Now here is the craziest thing. I simply thought nobody would care about the Blue Jays as I'm watching the game on my phone. One random guy on the subway saw what I was watching, and asked if he could watch. I was like sure whatever, and took the game off my headphones and put the game on speaker .
As more and more things developed through out the 7th. The craziness of the accident, beer cans being thrown. Suddenly I had a crowd of 10-15 people trying to watch the game off my phone on the Brooklyn subway.
I remember yelling at everybody that Donaldson is going to crush it. Then saying Batista is going to take this home. When that Home Run hit, and then it showed the bat flip afterward. it was just a wild party of new yorkers watching a blue jay game on the subway.
I made it to Financial District to my friend's office that was watching at the bottom of the ninth to watch Osuna close the door on the Rangers.
That alone made the trip memorable.
Best inning in the history of baseball
I love the moment at about 18:40 where Dyson says something to Encarnacion, and you can read his lips saying "WHAAT?" then "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" That crowd was so loud.
While the 7th is (of course) the thing everyone remembers, shout out to Osuna's AMAZING 5-out save (4Ks) in the 8th/9th. His first big league season and he pitched like he was Mariano Rivera.
I remember watching this live at like 1am (UK), going crazy and waking my family up. Had recently just got into baseball in the summer when I caught my first Jays game on holiday in the summer. Brilliant memory
My brother has video of my bawling like a baby when Bautista hit that homerun. I didn’t even cry that hard when my son was born.
Why are you crying watching an old Jays game? Wait... that's me..
I love that you can’t hear Ace screaming but with the body language alone you know that guy was just losing it in that costume
