Test Drive 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SOLD FAST $30,900 Maple Motors #2592

[Music] [Music] once again test drive time here at Maple Motors in Hendersonville Tennessee and today we got a 1969 Chevy chevel this is got 305 under the hood power steering power brakes looks like should have heat we'll check the controls uh got a nice set of Riddlers disc brakes in the front and rear so we got four whe disc brakes on this one beautiful red paint job the paint job on this is can't even open the glove box right now it's just spinning hello no coming across the dash there it's been replaced the pad has and the carpet looks decent interior clean I think this is going to go over pretty good package tray those little corner pieces on the headliner are wrinkly but the headliner itself is nice squeaky seat it's a little dirty there I guess let's go ahead start it up little drag but it's started showing 21,000 miles hard to stand behind that wipers nope not working turn signal nice and bright too is working gas Gade way pass full tack in the middle there looks like it's working blower motor on the dash it's stuck I'm not going to break it even more but yeah blower motor switches at least are messed up place your bets do you take the and works let's try it out they didn't hook it up okay it needs a few things we know that now let's hit the road see what else we can find here we go I'm getting y'all set up in the window over here anything I see you'll know about it I do these test drives so you know what you're getting before you show up to the car lot majority of people are uh very confident after watching so many years of videos that we've been putting out all of the uh recommendations that people are doing I really appreciate that guys prob helping us quite a bit so I'm going to keep it as honest as I possibly can we're going to keep doing this test drive time if I see it you'll know about it I'm looking at it as if I'm going to buy this car for myself that's the way to do it cuz technically I'm not a Salesman anymore I gave up that position I still got my license but I like to do these videos and get the information out to the people let go little bit of a hesitation on the takeoff shifting good when I let go of the steering wheel it starts pulling to the right see it pulling me over there uh Speedo Speedo is bouncing from 40 to 70 just nonstop so I'm going to say when it hits that low 40 Mark is about where we're at what happens when I floor it slowly gets up and then somebody jumps out in the road but I'm on the brakes now and they work thank goodness that's the first time I tried what that carburetor coughing and acting up got a little ethanol build up inside the carb which causes them to do all kinds of goofy stuff A lot of times you could drive and get enough gas running through it that it clears all that out certain spot on the gas pedal I guess right there if I FL it takes it now the kick Down's not hooked up we do got a little cough spit and sputter going on from the carburetor maybe that'll go away by the end of the video sometimes it does I'm usually out driving around for 45 minutes to an hour per video getting all these shots I don't hear anything weird on the suspension it feels pretty smooth back in those brakes again pretty good she's got plenty of [Music] pickup kick the tire there all right going to light up the other Carriage get some outside shots and picking out the flaws that's coming your we go I think I got enough time to make one more test drive video I definitely want to uh cuz we got a huge update this week they're talking 15 cars that's back to Summertime stuff well Summer's almost here so that's the thing you'll see a ton of cars come through Maple Motors during the Spring and the summer and then winter it slows down to about 10 uh sometimes 15 a week still got a little of a crackle from the carburetor there I can hear it coming out the pipes it's quiet going down the road really still hear it popping still got some of that ethanol built up in there [Music] [Music] dents scratches rust whatnot on all the cars um there's also 100 detailed pictures so Jeff goes over them as well but multiple people drive them before I get a hold of them and uh once I get a hold of front end here the light there's got spot messed up on the bottom of it same with this one Bumper's in good shape wipe the water spots off they'll come right on Grill's clean now the paint on this one you're going to like it guys it's nice says 307 but it came back 305 little chip there maybe it did have a 307 but it doesn't little bubble at the bottom of the door right there in the middle couple little bubbles popping up some over here too now this is chemical pill bad prep at the bottom of the door there back side looks good midsection you can see it's nice and clean the door is hanging a little bit on this Lower Side Little scuff there but it's on top of the paint so that should come out light little scuff there same thing in the front [Music] too chip here mirror on this one looks good little scuffs behind the handle but I think they'll come off cracking the paint little bit of chemical pel up top too spots back here pitting on your tail lights on the trim there back window and the trimmer on the back window look good the roof line and your drip rails are clean down your pillar little chip pretty clean front windshields also looking good on this one let's go to the back back bumper All Chrome looking good Spring's a little weak on the bag pitting little chips in the jam there package tray trunk lid shuts good too here's those chips that you could see from the inside bubble in the back corner over here as well trim's kind of pushed out a little bit chips uhoh skaters are out I'm starting to get bit Mark here spot on the door light scratches on the back window front windshield looks pretty good on this one imperfection in the drip rail we've made it around this ride let's go ahead and check her out on the interior then we'll start it up listen to the motor and listen to this exhaust door panel is a little ripped down here a lot of people will kick that getting out of the car just boom there as well the seat looks awesome the carpet's with this up look carpet's good little blue there on the back rest little wrinkle on the top of the seat there otherwise she looks good never got that glove box open mystery left inside old mirror got the old glass on it turn the key [Music] [Music] tell you what the hood itself man that's nice look at the paint on it [Music] that's one thing that's usually neglected is the underside of the hood but this one's in good shape somebody repainted it whenever I detail my cars at the house I'll actually wax the underside of the hood until it shines so any of my personal rods are like that if you've ever seen any on the channel come it down with the hood it's uh got to shake it a little bit it should come down if you just yanked on it but any kind of stiffness that I get in a hood means the Springs need to be old and you want to shake it back and forth so that it doesn't bend your hood cuz right now look at the hood plush she looks good there a little trim up here but actually I kind of like it better with it
