TERMINATOR: DARK FATE (2019) MOVIE REACTION!! - First Time Watching!

what's up guys welcome back to the Raggedy pack we are hopping into the final movie at least for now in The Terminator franchise Terminator dark fate um our comments let us know that we watch the uh extended director's cut of Terminator 2 and not the theatrical version so we did go back and watch the ending of that so we could have like a good idea of um you know how things are supposed to work because our comments also let us know that dark fate is like a sequel to two and uh the three movies that are after two or like non Canon I don't know there's a lot of different people saying different things in the comments I I just tried to like make sense of it if like it's if you have time travel you could just say they're all like Canon they're just different univer like time potential timelines well the thing about this one is James Cameron is back uh with it says Tim Miller Ed it but James Cameron was involved so I think that that makes it Canon right the man himself the Creator it's the the true ending I guess I don't know why can't the why can't the Happy Endings be Canon you know it's canon in my heart I mean I enjoyed it I mean prior to like you telling me this today CU I didn't know going into uh this uh six movie my interpretation is like I had that my own interpretation of the series even though things kind of went like in different directions but I I want I'll save my thoughts until after we see this one okay coacho do you have any thoughts yeah I think I I don't really have any thoughts I'm interested to see how this one compares to the last two s um yeah that's pretty much I am really happy that James Cameron's back yeah that is cool I'm curious to see how much that matters but in my mind that matters a lot All Things Considered there are some pretty cool scenes in each of the movies granted they didn't like compared to the first two they don't hold a flame to it yeah or whatever the say is hold a candle I think yeah I don't I don't scene in Terminators so it hasn't happened I love The Terminator theme it's a banger jingle I'll let her die for me again then you need to be ready you got teacher that's why she's such a badass in the future look familiar [Music] Grace I'll leave pretty solid movie have that was a pretty solid movie oh yeah I think John like at the very beginning of the movie having Arie kill John was such a bold choice in direction to take movie but then after that he like had his whole you know thing of becoming human for or trying to become human for 20 years having a family which was really cool and then kind of trying to make things right for JN and for Sarah I was a bit confused on that part but like then like I I kind of got it cuz like he feel that that that um Arie filled his mission so like what does he what what what's the follow-up protocol there I guess there just wasn't one so he just kind of wandered around aimlessly and like then chose to like decide like find a family for like he found a family gained some semblance of human emotion then felt guilt for what he did to Sarah and then chose to like follow through on this plan of like stopping additional Terminators from being sent which I think is a really cool character Arc to have for him it still sucks that John's dead absolutely that is just straight up terrible I think uh that was the hardest part for me to grasp was like a a movie a Terminator movie without John Connor and Sarah Connor in it um so that was like the the hardest pill to swallow for me and then all of a sudden the whole gang got together and that's when like it really started uh because I was struggling um I I I I was liking the movie in the beginning but it wasn't it didn't feel like a Terminator movie without Sarah Connor and John Connor it really confused me with the John Connor like getting killed in the beginning uh but as soon as the gang got back together this movie took off yeah like I started to like Vibe with the whole Vision mm um I really like I think that's understandable CU like every other movie uh has like been like prominent around either Sarah or John yeah uh especially with John being hailed as a prophet just like yeah but just getting off like in a non unsuspecting way just man just at the at the juice bar risen up some girl then get it's insane that is insane the double tap with the shotgun is just a brutal way to go mhm I really enjoyed the new characters introduced especially Grace I mean she kind of feels similar to Marcus from Terminator salvation with that whole like human hybrid aspect I mean she functions a little differently needed the the juice to keep her going definitely more on The Human Side just like with some like mechanical components which I I just love the concept honestly so I think it's cool they did that yeah and then you have Dany which we didn't really know what was going on with her it was assumed that you know she was going to have the next child of the future but no it was her actually like I like that twist just went from like a normal person to being the leader mhm also the uh the Terminator oh my god dude that Terminator was insane that is the most terrifying Terminator of them all they com both all of the um all of the models pretty much together yeah CU you got like the T1000 like the like the with the the little the little the jelly man but he SS a core so yeah it's very much it's leveling up and also the the ones we saw in that future with Legion where they're just kind of crazy tentacle machines oh my god dude yeah I need I need another movie and to see even more of those those are really cool you said so far this like if final T is there another one confirmed I don't know okay they killed Arie there because I this feels like it just opens up like a new series of movies yeah it could be chasing Grayson well not Grace but it well yeah actually yeah they they can do as many as they want with this whole time travel and future altering aspect the action scenes in this movie were absolutely insane I got see yeah they did really cool stuff with the Terminator that man loved popping the windshield and sending his shadow blown out it's it's an OP move he spams it I don't blame him yeah oh man I just can't get over how tenacious that Terminator was I mean it's like you could not let up for a second uh this movie based off the comments I see either people like it or they they hate it um I really like the movie I mean I thought it was enjoyable it the only like sour tasted leaves is like John DIY because I really liked I really like the relationship between him and Arie and even though it is like a different one it just feels like the same you know what I mean yeah it's not they're like we've seen like um like in T3 that like we found out that Arie an Arie model was used to kill John in that in that future before being sent by what was her name Kathy Catherine uh John's wife I think so k k k Kate my my fault but yeah it does suck that is definitely like I think any complaints for this movie I'm assuming are just geared towards this the like the the major step away from focusing on just Sarah and John as like being uh leader of the resistance and mother of the future and introducing new state like a new uh premise with skynet's Fallen but something new inevitably takes its place this time in the form of Legion yeah I do like that that is really cool it just keeps finding because that's totally a move that AI That's it's not even like they stop this but someone else is going to make something similar eventually that's literally I mean it's it's it's almost in inevitable it's it's inevitable which is like that kind of takes away any potential for like a a happy ending but it's all right the future is now written yet it's I mean you might ending in one movie but then the other you know five movies are just going to be horrible endings yeah I mean like even though like this is like meant to be like the next Canon one um I feel like just because of the time travel aspect you can these are just all like all the other movies are just possibilities that what could have happened and eventually we're we're fighting for that one future where things aren't ass which would kind of be like the t2 alternate ending for the director's cut that's how I ultimately interpret the series that everything it's a it's a it's a war between the future and the past that has so many potential outcomes it's never ending but where it's all in Chase of that one good future or potential multiple good Futures based on what happen happens the this series is going to stick with me for a while mhm same is that all that's left to be said is this the end boys I think so I don't want it to be but I guess it it might until the next one until the next one and we see Arie with the walking cane there's no way AR he's coming back you know he's coming back at this point it's going to be a new one it's going to be a new
