Teen Wolf Panel #2 Epic Cons Chicago 3/23/24

I mean either or really everyone how are you doing I'm good I'm good I'm on a panel with like 10 men yeah there are this is the biggest Teen Wolf panel I've ever done okay good me too but also my first right sure yeah yeah yeah so there is that okay is this anyone's first con right there right there in the front where y raise your hand oh someone in the back oh wow oh wow wow wow we have a lot of new new oh we're happy to pop your cherry what are you guys thinking so far amazing what what we uh so I played a concert here last night and yes typically you don't play in an airplane hanger or was just asking me is if this is what the sound was like last night plus we had drums and there's a pole there's a pole right here in the middle of a Beat which is strange yeah or yeah yeah a lot of Y appreciate you trying to make it better but yeah before we get too into this I knew this was that's what my y was yeah if the people in the middle section if you guys could move further back if we could have a bigger Gap in between the people in the front and the back that would make us feel like you really wanted to be here if yeah I think maybe they were nervous want to be was going to turn into a vampire or something no wrong show I know oh my God job one job this is on The Vampire Diaries panel I'm so confused no we actually beat them in a softball game no you didn't in Atlanta you you you weren there you guys had like a real when we so we so we used to film in Atlanta Vampire Diaries filmed in Atlanta and we played a softball game against them yeah and it was me Dylan Ian and then our crew yeah and then Vampire Diaries had literally jerseys made for all and we showed up in like our sweatpants and like we're all dirty and we got so intimidated and then we beat everybody twice twice yeah wait like cuz there was a rematch or just they they so we were winning by so much they were like forfeit we're calling it and then they were like let's rematch and then we beat them again same day Empire Diaries panel at some point and I'm going to have to ask them about I don't know I think maybe there was one actor there but most of it was just their crew oh yeah was mostly their crew so I see I see okay was their idea okay so you mentioned your band obviously everyone knows about it how was it last night everybody wow so even with the poll here you managed to success yeah yeah yeah it's a lot of fun um I I play a lot of punk rock venues and a lot of them are kind of oddly built sometimes there's poles in the middle of things and you work around it you know it's all about the energy and the love Tyler do you tell me please please are you saying you you know your way around a pole I do I do I do I do I know my way around a poll listen I took people to pole dancing classes for my birthday one year so I think he's referring to a different kind of poll that's the one you're referring to yeah he said that one right there that one right when is this panel starting well right now I'm glad you asked glad you asked are you saying I'm doing a great job hosting awesome awesome okay uh so here's the way it's going to go everybody we this is a huge panel and I want to make sure do you have a question what no okay okay um going to ask you guys some questions catch up and then we will turn it over to audience questions and we can have you line up right there I know we don't have enough mics because this is a ginormous panel so I will hand over my mic and we should be all set okay let's get started I'm just going to go down the row um so we were catching up earlier we haven't seen each other in a long time but we actually born and raised in Hawaii I just flew in from Hawaii I'm doing a new show over there and I'm learning all of the wonderful magic of Hawaii but also how far away from everything it is very very far very far um and we were talking about how you're training for an Iron Man so can you tell us about this cuz I'm fascinated uh yeah so I'm a lot of you probably know that I'm a cyclist So and I've done a lot of uh cycling for charity raised a lot of money thanks to some of you here thank you again and I do a lot of hiking and backpacking uh I ran track in high school and college and so I decided to combine them with swimming which I had not really ever trained to do and I had to learn new last year uh into something competitive I can do in my free time which I have none of anymore and when is it uh I'm going to do it next October we're in California wow okay ke was posted that's huge also I did some Instagram stalking and I know this was a while ago now but at the end of one of your posts like during Co you said go stretch drink some water and take a walk and I thought that those were some really beautiful simple suggestions but also to me it felt like it was overall physical health mental health self-care well-being and that seems to be a big part of who you are has that been inspired by anything in particular uh I think you know for a lot of people 2020 was a hard year and one of the biggest lessons I've learned in the last decade has been self-kindness and I think that self-kindness is not just telling yourself nice things and being kind to yourself it's also doing kind things for your body and your mind and getting up and drinking water and stretching and I just keeping good maintenance of your body is a way to treat yourself well and you should cuz it's about longevity it's a marathon not a Sprint I love that I love that I think it's an Iron Man it's an Iron Man I'm not there yet I my goal is just a finish like I just want to cross the finish line have you ever trained for an Iron Man look at [Music] him I say that's a yes yes yes um tell I'm sure you get this all the time but you haven't gotten it from me yet so tell us about the Batman oh um well you know one has anyone here seen it yeah okay oh yeah okay all right thank you uh they they tried to make us look really tough which obviously isn't that hard to do um you know tattoos and stuff I just learned Leed that uh they they shaved part of my eyebrow off for the full effect and I went to the doctor and uh my eyebrow is never going to grow back so permanent permanent souvenir wait let me see right there see it oh that's dope hard to see it it's patching so you guys are you're not twins after all wow there's a nice closeup of your eyebrow happening right now that's amazing you still have an eyebrow it's just part of my they didn't shave off my whole eyebrow bro that's not very tough this is this tough little line anyway um what what kind of doctor do you go to for eyebrow hair [Music] diagnosis well when I'm talking about the doctor I really just mean I was looking miror the other day and I was like gole called Colton yeah but back to Batman cor my yeah back to Batman back to Batman I'm sorry by the way you didn't mean to make this all about the eyebrow but anyway sound really tough too I will say drink water my eyebrows per okay drink water stretch in stretch for the eye uh no all the things all the things yeah uh I our our our our training for Teen Wolf came in really handy cuz on Teen Wolf it was like you learn a stunt sequence you are thrown in front of bows and arrows and paintballs that are meant to be bullets and you just go for it and you just learn to kind of adapt on the Fly and there's a lot of training that went into some of the bigger stunt sequences in the Batman and it was very very intimidating to think that we had to pull it off but you know what like I think a bunch of the guys here can attest to the foundation of stunt work that working on Teen Wolf gave us Superman Batman you guys you guys kicked ass of that that was dope yeah I loved it I was freaking out when I saw you guys I did not expect it did not know we didn't expect to make the final cut so thank you well we knew your eyebrow would make it I mean yeah this you know yeah tough yeah any Max Max you want to add Max anything you want to add told the whole story yeah he's like no you got it I think I think that with with all these shows Teen Wolf included there's always that that magical moment of showing up on set and and it just starts with looking at you know an idea you've heard of and reading some some words on a page and then you show up and it's real and and as with Teen Wolf Batman it's a surreal experience because it's something that was kind of in your imagination is materialized in front of you with a cast and crew and everyone's there to do this the same thing so just to be involved in in that particular production I I will say um it was it was strange to find ourselves in like a they they made a whole Backlot that looked like Gotham and and Colin Ferell showed up in makeup and no one knew who he was and we were like someone needs to pull this weird guy off the set he keeps talking in a Brooklyn Irish accent who is he so it was just it was just strange to be there I still can't believe we were in it and like Charlie said somehow we made the final cut so it was a trip that's awesome um I have a question I love asking people this is there something someone on set did for you that you didn't expect and stood out to you and is like stuck with you yeah I mean if we're talking so so like I know you guys digest these shows in about 44 minutes and probably binge them like crazy but they so much work is involved in putting together one episode I mean it's an insane amount of of Personnel Resources time there were evenings we would be freezing our butts off soaking wet at 4 in the morning and it just it can sometimes feel like you're in survival mode especially when it's day after day um you obviously we're lucky we get to do we get to do but it can be really hard work and it can be brutal and physically demanding there was one time on on Batman it was about 30° outside Charlie and I were were face down in in a rainstorm for a whole night and and at that point at 30° you were like you're hypothermic and we have to we have to shoot everything out and um we had a limited amount of of hot water bottles to keep everyone warm and everyone was shaking and I remember Zoe Kravitz came over and gave her water bottle to my brother which he was shaking like a leaf like we were genuinely genuinely concerned about him and it's moments like that and it happen on Team Wolf all the time as well where it's just wow this really does feel like we are a solid group of of teammates like we're making something special together and uh and you can get caught up in all this Hollywood stuff or whatever but it's irrelevant those are the moments that matter so that's what sticks out I love that yeah the Batman panel exactly I love that wait the Batman panel everybody everybody enjoy the Batman okay we're going to do Team Wolf now any other Batman antidotes any yeah why don't you tell us about your uh Comedy Tour yeah oh yeah yeah yeah you can't say no keep on track horny I just like to say that uh in season 2 of Team Wolf they asked me to put on 10 lbs for the rooll and I I just went to the doctor and they told me my old body's never coming back if we could zoom in on my gut what I did for this show I went in for Batman they told me I was uh too overweight by 10bs do you guys remember the time Colin Ferell was on the set of Teen Wolf and nobody recognized him okay drink water drink water thanks or you're welcome um or I have a show here tomorrow night if you want to laugh more than this I hope everybody makes it we're going to move this [ __ ] pole and we're going to have the chairs right up to the stage it's going to be a great time um I appreciate everybody's support this was a wonderful show to be on and uh yeah that's it I think well since well thank you this has been a great panel and since you're so eager to talk about Teen Wolf what was your favorite besides gaining 10 pounds for the show what was your favorite moment uh I I will say that in the movie dererk and I finally had a scene together and I thought that was great I enjoyed that um but you know just working with all these guys are unbelievable every single one of them and they're like a family and that's why we can mess around so it's a great show the fact that the Legacy still you know I'll be honest with you I don't know know if any of the uh I know there are other shows at this convention um what even know no but uh and some of them were on the plane with me coming over and how do I say this nicely just do it I don't think they gave me the respect I deserve tell us more about that we're here on the team wolf panel tell us more about your plane ride as I stepped out of first class and these bums behind me I got outside to the gate and there are Teen Wolf fans there with stuff for me to sign and no other show had fans there and that's why this show is that much better than every other show that right okay I'm just saying what everybody on the panel wants to say or or everybody here is actually just holding their seat for The Vampire Diaries it is it's really is that one of the show here early we're just like the filler yeah okay yeah and then they're going to go play a baseball game after it's going to be great it's going to be great yeah some of us could do both of us can do both yeah yeah um anything else you want to share since you have the mic okay Ryan oh wait Michael did we get skip you skip I'm so sorry we're back to you um we just came out of a St he's invisible on the show I am invisible on the show so there you go I'll just go and um yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah we just came out of a strike which I know we're all very very grateful for um I thought you were saying we were grateful for the strike and I'm like well I'm grateful that we came out of the strike and I'm grateful for the strike too anyway what kind of panel is this now is there anything that you learned about yourself during it that you that surprised you cuz it was a really challenging time for a lot of people yeah um I think yeah actually so I mean I I do a lot of voiceover work for video games cartoons all kinds of stuff like that and uh that's what I've sort of always done between acting jobs and uh yeah just going through the strike I was really grateful to have that work but I'm like oh man like I it might be years before I'm on another set and it's really important for me to find things to do for myself to make myself happy things that I enjoy so I was able to reconnect with some things I love like songwriting and music and uh that's been really cool and I just released my first music video Amazing woo thank you and yeah and I people seem to like it and it's doing really well on YouTube have you guys seen it well you can you it's okay if you go where can find me on Instagram and you'll see I'm spamming it every day yeah but so yeah that that's been cool so I've been working more on music lately and that's awesome it's been really fun I love that I love that wary we've already had enough of you moving on to Ryan you guys I don't know people probably don't know this but Ryan and I met years ago we did a movie together you do no way wow I'm so impressed called Outlaw Trail and this is the fir I feel like this is the first time we've seen each other since kind of well there was like one time yeah I saw you yeah one time on a sidewalk yeah was that count that though it was awkward yeah um but you were just in the hospital is everything okay tell us I'm good now what happens I popped my titty okay well I didn't do it Dylan sprager did so that makes sense everyone here he's here tomorrow I need you guys to give him [ __ ] okay long story short I go to a new gym I just moved and I see turd Sprayberry at my gym and you know I look at him he looks at me me he likes to work out I like to work out you want to do this or knows it I used to work out his gym or was never nice to me though no a billion times he just didn't never he never acknowledged me he only acknowledged me when I was there with heckin so oh get anyways back to my story so it's Friday no wonder fre he cut me off yeah it's it's I don't want to give you the chance to he's going to roast me it's going to be bad so I'm going to cut him off before he does does that uh Friday works with hey uh it's Friday and I asked what are you working on at the gym and he goes legs now I don't know if you guys can tell but I have chicken legs that's not my strong suit so he proceeds to kick my ass it's Friday you know I can barely walk for the weekend and I know Monday's coming and that's what is Monday you guys Chess Day International chess day so I'm like I'm going to kick it is not International Chess Day not just Chess Day every every guy you know it's International chess day so I get to the gym sprayberry's already there like what the hell okay so I get there and he's like you ready and I'm like uh I should you know I'm I've got to be at least 15 13 years older than Sprayberry I should warm up I should go in the corner with my cane my walking stick and stretch for an hour and I didn't do that so he puts some weight on the bench you know and I'm like he does it I do more he puts some weight on he does some I do more he does it again I do more and I look at him I go you want to go up and he goes yeah I was I was I thought we were chilling like all right so he put some weight on the bar push it up and the second I start to bring it down I feel and watch my shoulder complet my PEC from my shoulder to my Peck completely tear off like a rubber band and uh no chess bench press and uh you know so Sprayberry pop my titty but also if he wasn't there I would have died because there was a lot of weight that was coming down to my head that I couldn't control and So within seconds he popped my titty and then saved my life that's quite a sentence he popped my titty and then saved my life spray and that's your story you're sticking to it that's I wish I made that up that's true well I'm true story really glad you're here with us today now I'm glad you made it through glad you made it through yeah good to see you and your chest looks huge okay and smen yeah um Tyler coming to you um first of all I know you get this all the time or I'm sure you do especially here but you've never got it for me I was a huge seventh heaven fan what I was I was I was obviously there I I know but I had to tell you so here we go anyways um switching to Teen Wolf because I know that that's what or wants to talk about um yeah yeah yeah um what I know you guys did the show a a long time and we're like family and it's always kind of I think bittersweet because you get to move on to something new but it's also like such a huge part of your life and crazy hours and you know so much goes into it what was the hardest thing for you walking away um the yeah just the people just hands down the people um I feel like we we did a lot on that show and so I think there's yeah like you're right there's always a bittersweet element to it but there was a lot of work that went into it so I think everybody in a way felt like at least I did like when I the character ran its course it kind of felt like it didn't come to a nice place to kind of call it um but just the people which is why these conventions I mean it's so great to see you guys and it's always fun but honestly especially when we get like 20 of us here in the same weekend it's just a chance to catch up with everybody and this is like really my extended family after my first life which was like my baseball life so after that it was these guys so um yeah I know you've had two massive completely different careers that's was pretty lucky yeah yeah and I've been really lucky to have good people around for all of them so very that's awesome that's awesome okay we're almost down the line and then we're turning it over to audience questions so get ready um hi we didn't get to meet backstage hi hi um did you experience a scene that you got and you were like how am I going to do this I don't actually understand it and I don't know if I feel comfortable like do I feel comfortable asking someone or how do I work through this um not necessarily like well I guess the how kind of was like my own chatter brain anxiety brain cuz that kind of happens like as an actor you want to like kind of turn that off and just be and feel um I think the main one was like certain things like okay with death like I haven't I hadn't really experienced any like close death in my life like up until that that point um well at that point so when Michael when Cory passed according to Mason's you ghost riters choked you out and gone that was like oh wait how am I going to portray that am I going to be able to but it's just kind of like a regular challenge I think most actors kind of just got to overcome I think it was just like the pressure of being like a new character not wanting to like seem green whatever I had to just quiet that and and tap in so that that's one I think the others man it's just like the set was just so like welcoming and so like I didn't I didn't feel from any of these people that were on the show longer than me that it's like oh that's them and I'm here so I didn't really have an environment that made me feel limited which is like a gift you know there's there's other sets that aren't necessarily like that so I really enjoyed it man that's kind of what everyone's saying the theme of of of Teen Wolf is uh is different actually crazy enough last thing is I I I was just working on this thing uh yesterday and someone was a part of the crew of Team Wolf and he just had to tell me like by far like that was the most fun set I I I've uh been a part of I think he was one of the grips or something I never met him but um it's just cool that like that's kind of our rep I like that I'm really proud of this I love that not every show is like thato that's really fortunate especially with so many people Jesus that's very fortun It's really because of this guy he said the tone I'm not going to lie like shout outs to Tyler P oh yeah I love you thank you brother it is that's awesome last but not least I have a really important question for you I'm again going back to your Instagram it says um leaving are you ready yeah okay it says motorcycles tattoos and dogs I really need you to put them in order it used to say motorcycle tattoos dogs and I fart a lot that's what it used to say but I took that off no yeah I can't be a husband with that on my [ __ ] bio an order motorcycle tattoos dogs dogs okay motorcycles and then tattoos okay I can live without the tattoos but I've kind of gone too far it would take a while are there any that you don't like are there any tattoos I don't like actually it's a great question you have to pick one don't say no like regret and any regret I got one removed off of my ribs what ouch yeah but did it hurt more getting it removed or getting it getting it removed is just it's such a different feeling it's 3 minutes of agonizing hell whereas a tattoo is like an hour of decently agonizing help you know but it three it's it's it's so much more intense than getting a tattoo uh but other than that no I think I like all of them I don't know you did any of them not come out the way you thought like you're sort of angry at the tattoo artist if you know this but we're on a Teen Wolf panel I'd really like to this is this is Teen Wolf because we're going to get into how we had to cover up all these tattoos every sh I'll let I'll let you keep going that okay okay yeah I actually have one on the back of my thigh that's like this naked lady like hugging a panther and she's got like a claw mark on her butt it's cool it's a cool tattoo my wife hates it but uh she has a I don't know she just doesn't I don't know never mind he's like I'm second thought it's got a very profound jaw it's like a it's like not a very feminine jaw which is fine I just didn't think it was going to come out that way you Dearing I like it you know what I mean and it has nothing to do with like is it just that you're extra muscular there or extremely I have tree trunks for legs unlike Ryan I have massive massive thighs not um okay I am going to on that amazing note I'm going to turn it over to audience's questions thank [Music] you my question is if you could change or what you turn into or turn into something what would it be oh man good question um I would like to turn into Orie is that is that a possibility I can do that I love that you're just so Comfort you're so good you're so good you're so quick everything that you say is so right on and I love that and I want I admire that and cool because I wanted to do something and if even the idea that my character did something like changed that was yeah but I think I just would have been like a a werewolf Dylan Sprayberry he made me jealous like the the the animalistic energy he really tapped into I was like that has to be fun cuz he's he's really going for it so I don't know I would have Lov to like been a werewolf than I I was happy with the werewolf thing but if I could change it it be uh probably something that could fly yeah well you are I knew I knew someone was going to call me as soon as I started to think I was like ah someone's going to say something someone's going to say something uh same I was already committed I was happy with the hell if I had to I would I mean an alpha that would have been cool you an alpha if I had can a h hellhound be an alpha I'm saying if I like I was happy with that hellhound but if I could have been something else it would have been an alpha yeah but can a hellhound be an alpha elephant or alpha alpha alpha alha Alpha what's a hell hound still don't know you don't B to you I I I think my favorite part about being on this show was that I wasn't anything and still don't know where I fit in and be else I think that's genius it is you're the only you're the only person that hasn't been anything yeah it's so cool I know I love that I think that's great that's true yeah Sheriff wasn't anything but he was aware I probably was not aware of what was going on yeah um I would have liked to fight more I think cuz I didn't fight so anything with teeth would have been nice claws Talons muscles yeah oh sorry no no no no go [ __ ] rude God what a jerk [ __ ] just go Max I was just going to say I I wish I know we technically were an alpha together but how we got there I I wish we could have done it a little differently um you know essentially fisting my brother on set every week's not not how I wanted to get there um so if I could be my own Alpha that'd be cool I thought we we can all be our own be your own an own anchor I guess I'd be an anchor if I could shave or [ __ ] yeah so I could be my own anchor he's not Orie ladies and gentlemen I wouldn't want to be I can tell you that a That is rude That is rude so rude and that is that's some vampire diary [ __ ] out of you that's not the team wolf spirit and I'm glad that I can't tell you true apart I I won't even know which one to be mad at and by the way they both hit on me oh my God uh I I mean for safety reasons something that flies I mean I jump out of planes for fun so probably like a hawk or something they they were you anything I wasn't I was anything either right I forgot about that I just knew everything did you did yeah you were the only one that was clued into it I was the only one paying attention taking notes right exactly speaking Hills dude that was your line thank you thanks for the question B thank you so much thanks great question um to everyone coming up if you could do you to be I want Scott to kill somebody and then learn from it you know what I mean yeah that's like not just like go the dark route but like kill somebody and be like oh wow yeah that sucked I shouldn't have done that that was not a good idea not a good idea you know what I mean though Scott's always been like the hero and I it's more human to see him [ __ ] up you know what I mean I want to see that so something like that you know and then bring them back from the dead could we start with like shoplifting and maybe go to murder later no no murder first yeah definitely murder first I think my my answer is kind of the same like when Mason found out he was the Beast I think Mason was such a pure soul that like I think it would have been cool to see like wao like even though I didn't do that I was hosting a mass murderer that I think the Beast like killed people in the hospital I feel like it would just be cool to Mason to struggle with like cuz at first he was like oh werewolves are super cool and now it's like oh shit's getting real like people die like oh this is this is not as fun I mean he had his word intense but I think it just would have been cool to just see him like really register like oh these are these are my friends but they like fight people that are trying to kill them yeah you know that would have been cool speaking of death I was very happy with my outcome I mean just kidding oh my God a joke it was a joke that did not go not a good joke it's not an easy crowd that was not maybe maybe nobody here saw the movie maybe that's what happened um no um no I would say it was it was a really weird thing where each season of the show um outside maybe the first one but for the rest of the show there was like whatever Arc Derek was going through weirdly like something else in my life was parallel to that not obviously the same thing happening but just moments and things that were going on that very much reflected what was going on in my life so I I was actually really grateful that that was always kind of like a through line for me mine's tough um I always wanted to figure out how to help kill Derek sooner so maybe season one would have been cool I heard there were a lot of meetings about that actually yeah Colton leave hurry up and walk to get out of our panel pleas everybody everybody round of applause for everybody round of applause [Applause] for hey Jackson shut IT guy needs more attention than anybody honestly right that's true unbelievable no one else walked through the panel what was the question if you could change your outcome what would it what would you do I would have uh fisted the Carver twice there's always Chicago oh you might have gotten fired from your job though as a as a high school coach oh oh yeah you're right you went so dark there everybody video save me all of a sudden don't put that up there I definitely would have smacked some more people upside the head while I was invisible I don't know why I don't know why he didn't do it but uh you know maybe actually there's there's all this Supernatural [ __ ] going on in Beacon Hills Cory should have like used his powers to make some extra money like help to cheat on tests or something I don't know can turn invisible you could really do a lot with that so yeah I like a I like no um I think for for my character uh dying kind of sucks that's um I will say I think your death was the only one that as a viewer I cried watching yeah bro your death was was dope I actually liked it I was I mean I'm sorry it's honestly it was it was the reaction to the death that makes it as sad right both of you guys it was really really really good I cried and that's a big deal cuz I died three times and nobody cried for me nobody saw it you were [Music] invisible I wish you hadn't died that's the outcome I would change nice if I could k Danny should have joined Shield after that that's what I would have hoped for him is it the same universe no yeah keep it to Teen Wolf he would he would have mentions thank you Lex hi my name is s um I have the same tag too hell yeah um my question is like I know as actors you guys don't always get to see like the script and stuff like that so I guess like you don't have like a lot of sometimes you might not have a lot of say in like what happens with your with your character so is there some clock point that you like hated for like wish your character didn't go through that's a good question uh um the okay so Teen Wolf start was like 15 years ago or so now most of the fans were there was a wide range of a ages but a lot of us were were younger you know what I mean and now you're all adults right most of you are adults now you know unless you just found it on Netflix last month right or that but I felt like the movie that we just did sort of picked up as a sort of uh it was still meant for a younger audience you know what I mean so I would have loved to see the movie be made for the fans who have grown up with the show and it sort of it it it it had that tone of hey we're young adults now or you know adults and we're dealing with adult scenarios you know I want to see more I just wanted
