Taylor Dropped A Not-So-Subtle Nod To North West & People Are Noticing

the tortured poets department is finally here and it seems Taylor Swift may be preparing to throw down with her youngest enemy yet Taylor Swift dropped the tortured poets department on April 19th 2024 and while fans were expecting to hear songs about her ex Joe alen one person they weren't expecting to pop up was Kim Kardashian's daughter Northwest since the album came out fans have speculated about what or more importantly who Taylor's latest tracks are about it's like the one constant throughout my entire life so means a lot yeah one big theory is that the track thank you Amy is about Kardashian and that it also references her and Kanye West's daughter Northwest released as part of the deluxe version of the album titled the tortured poets Department the Anthology the tracks title has some interesting capitalized letters spelling out Kim it also has some very telling lyrics in the song Swift not so subtly suggested that she had written a song about someone but changed their name and any real defining Clues she also remarked on how this person's child would come home singing it without knowing it's about their parent many fans pointed out on X formerly known as Twitter that Swift appeared to be referencing Northwest and her love for making Tik toks one ex user wrote what are the odds of Northwest posting a Tik Tok with thank you Amy another tweeted I can't wait for Northwest to post her video dancing to thank you Amy a third teased I wonder what northwest's favorite track on the tortured poets department is I think she'd like thank you Amy but maybe that's just me Northwest and Kim Kardashian have already used Swift's music on Tik Tok dancing to shake it off together and a since deleted video posted in 2023 it's also worth noting that Kim Kardashian's niece Penelope DIC is a Swifty as she's been spotted wearing a swift hoodie on social media the rest of thank you Amy is about someone who bullied Swift and there are more than a few other hints she's singing about Kardashian Swift references a bronze spray taned statue of her bully in her hometown and mentions a plaque that threatens to push her down the stairs while California isn't Swift's home state like it is Kardashians and they didn't go to school together we know Swift has homes in California and school could well refer to to her seeing Kardashian at events when she was younger the bronze spray tan reference Kardashian's undoubtedly a spray tan fan honestly I didn't even have time for this trip I have a spray tan at 1:00 a.m. Swift also sings about how this person wrote headlines in the local paper laughing at her baby steps which appears to reference Kardashian's past public comments about her Swift and Kardashian's Feud goes back years of course Swift has certainly made no secret of how hurt she was amid the drama around Kanye song famous and the phone call Scandal between the three that came out afterward as recently as 2023 Swift hold time that took me down psychologically to a place I've never been before [Music]
