I'm marjie campy moved here in 91 and I've been here on and off ever since um we lived in Paris for 9 years and before that my this was this flat was half the size it is now and my partner and I moved to Paris and when we were deciding to come back he sold the flat in Paris which he owned and bought the flat next door to this because our neighbor was moving out so um we've put the two together a hole in the wall and now we have a flat twice the size well I did most of them I did most of the design we did have an architect from Norman Foster doing the plans and things advising us about what to put where because we had to remove a bathroom and the kitchen blah blah blah and um but I designed the kitchen so it didn't look too much like a kitchen because it's open plan of course I can't reach some of the cupboards but I don't care it just looks good I moved from hamster he overlooking hamser teath when my children left home where I pushed them gently out of the nest and I looked places in coton Garden Soho walked in here and couldn't resist the views and that was it really and it's I love it the only reason we're moving is because want to be near family and the family lives in Barcelona so that's the reason we're going but it's what is wonderful about it is that all the things we like doing which is theater cinema exhibitions concerts we can walk to most of them or two or three stops on the tube and of course we're surrounded by restaurants and for you know if I work quite a in Manchester Birmingham Liverpool it's ideal it's a few stops from Houston few stops from watero she stops from Kings Cross so it's ideally situated if you like being in the middle of things and like the buzz and I do like the view from the bedroom because we get sunsets wonderful sunsets but what I like as much of the views is the expans of sky that we have you know because we can just sit and watch sit here and watch the clouds changing and the light changing and it's it's a great joy to see so much sky in the middle of a city the other thing is the quiet listen now the windows is open we're in the middle of Soho can't hear a thing it's so quiet it's on the ninth floor of course which helps and there's not a lot of traffic around here but I think anywhere else in SoHo is very noisy I think um not that it's picturesque but the amount of storage space is amazing we've got huge Cupboards in the living room which people don't even realize are covers we've got big storage cupboard at the front door the other flat and huge wardrobes in the bedroom so that's a big Plus in in in a flat in central lond but I just like the atmosphere of it really I like being able to see the sky everywhere and it's very very light it's a bit like living in a conservatory even on a dull day like today it's lighter than most places so yeah that's it really and the roof we can see all over London from the roof yes I will miss it but I want to be near my family well this is the living room as you can see with um great views which is of course the main reason for buying this flood this is our family pet Alfie the dog which is perfect pet because doesn't bark doesn't poo and doesn't have to go walkies the views carry on around here of course this is I suppose what they call a guest facility spare Loom so here we have the kitchen area here we have the cooker and the washing machine nicely hidden from View fridge freezer food cupboard and Crockery and stuff dishwasher Bob of course and this is where the second flat starts where we knocked the hole in the wall now we have especially my husband thousands of books and we had the problem of where we're going to put them and he suddenly had the bright idea of making the wall of bookcases these can of course go if people don't want have a wall of bookcases this is the bathroom except it doesn't have a bath because we decided we took the bath out when we did the conversion so it's a nice huge shower standing and this is this is Anton working hello hi and this is the office but of course there also the second bedroom so so these bookcases can also go which will make it quite a big double bedroom which it was originally of [Music] course and this is our bedroom and we decided to keep this was of course the living room of the second flat we decided to have a nice big bedroom and from here we see wonderful sunsets today is very Misty but we can usually see very right past H High [Music] Gate [Music]
