Tailwind CSS 2.0.2 Install in Laravel 8 [Updated] | LEARN.

[Music] hey everyone welcome to learn.youtube channel in this video we are going to learn about installing latest tailwind version 2 and laravel framework this video is updated version of tailwind css installing on laravel if you already watched previous outdated version of this video then now you can upgrade like this video before start i have to tell you something about this video in previous video we are using post css 7 compact version because that time laravel does not support post css 8 but now layerable support posts css8 so we can now use latest version of post css eight let's start here i am using fresh layer of late open tailwind css website go to documentation go to installation section and let's check layerable section here you can see layerable mix does not support post css 8 yet but it's coming soon in previous version we were using post css 7 compact version as i mentioned before using this command but now laravel mix support post css 8 let's check this out open laravel github website go to commit here you can see upgrade to mix version 6 on january 4 2021 here you can see before and after commit malaria make support post css 8 so let's install tailwind css in laravel open tailwind css website go to installation section open your terminal run npm install copy this command and run in your terminal now open your project in your favorite code editor open resource css app.css file in this file import tailwind css base classes component classes and utilities classes don't forget to use tild symbol save and close open webpack mix.js file in this file require tailwind and auto prefixer save and close now using tailwind as a post css plugin open tailwind website copy this command to generate a tailwind config js file in root directory generate successful open tailwind config.js file edit and purge section like this to reduce unused css if you are using vujs then add here vu and js files i am using only blade files so i commented out vjs save and close now open your blade file and include css and js files this setup is finish now you can run npm run dev command to compile assets thank you for watching thank you for watching
