hello everybody sister again and today i'll be playing alina of the arena the game is a roguelike deck builder but it also has a stage at which you can move around so it also has a tactical element in it so uh yeah that's pretty much the game so let's go into it right away first level slave arena and uh this is a unique aspect this has the clan this game does not have the classic layout of roguelikes it has a triple road i will analyze it after the first fight i will start explaining what's happening here but let's first go into fight to start explaining some base mechanics so here at the bottom you can see our main cards you always have initiative as one of your cards i will explain a bit what's happening here you have three energy as most roguelikes and you can also i as it most yeah i guess turn based games card games you have three energy here there's the deck it's how many cards we draw and uh this is my max hand this is the discard pile you know the classics all around now the difference here is the left's up here by the way the difference here being that we have a stage and we can fight enemies they also move on the stage so we have to be careful about where we go so as you see here enemies somebody from the crowd threw a rusty dagger at me rusty it says at the right the rusty dragon increases damage by one whenever you deal unblock damage apply one bleed and bleed is increased damage received by one stacks decrease each turn so bleed is not poisonous game bleed in this game makes the enemy take more damage so the more you lead them the more they take damage so yeah that's the that's that now for the cards i always start with initiative always you always get initiative in your hand every single turn if you don't play it as the first thing uh in your turn then it goes away so you can decide at your first turn if you want to move away from danger or anything but you cannot attack and also move if you want to move otherwise you can you have the slam here although it exhausts so it will get removed from the deck um otherwise you know our normal deck can i see our deck no i can only see our draw pile right now no i can see our deck so our deck is three and three strikes i'm saying three and three because as you see here this is like bronzish maybe let's say red i guess this part is lit and then this is the bluish card so the right side is lit this is going to be important for a bit i will explain adjustment smidge and then we got four blocks so this is not really that important but it also is i mean it's half is half isn't and then we also have two other card slam is move to tiles and also knock back an enemy and deal two damage and then we also have wind up which gives us kinetic kinetic is that our next attack will do double damage so uh slam i would like you to like to point out right away that if you slam an enemy into wall they get stunned so having enemies close to walls is good and you not being close to walls is also important and the second thing i want to explain here about the half blue cards and half red cards and you see when i go over them over here you see a flash and here too so when i move over here and take the weapon and then i apply the rusty darker let's say to my right hand now i have a rusty dug to my on my round right hand and every car that has this this right side lit up if it's applicable because for example guard is not using the rusty dagger but the strike would use the rusty dagger then the effect applies so as you can see here strike does five damage now while it was doing four before i equipped this uh rusty diagram and if i had a different weapon i mean if i had a different strike the left side strike it would do four damage and it would also not have the bleed effect um now for this fight i don't think i can really do anything this guy's about to attack everything around him so what i would like to do is maybe pick up that rock i mean why not right you know what let's stay here let's stay here this is the best position we could have let's shield up there's no reason not to let's end the turn enemies come close shield obviously does uh expire like in most roguelikes and now the time has come to decide you see this guy is doing five damage to us if i attack attack attack then i will get hit for five if i block an attack attack i will still get hit for five but i could just use initiative and move backwards and let him come closer to us until the time comes where we have two guards in our hand i cannot attack and run because that's not how initiative works you have to either use it first or you lose it um i would say better safe than sorry so uh actually forget it let's go all on damage let's lose one life who cares let's go strike bob five another strike bob five he's bleeding and i will shield because i don't wanna lose life for no reason if i had um if i could do just a smidge more damage i would try to finish him right away but i could not give it to him we also have people in the arena shouting and now he should be toast so we go here and here and that should be enough he's told and i have we have 69 left nice you get a pass but that was pretty mediocre so the better you fight the more awesome your fight is the more money you get let's see what card we can get full-on attack uh deal 18 damage self-exhaust self-exhaust if this card is in your hand at the end of your turn it will be exhausted so you play it or you lose it it's a two minute 18 damage and it's a left side swing so i should transfer my weapon to the left if i buy this strategy draw on card gain to retain retain keep one card at the end of your turn so for one i would not do this for one energy dry card not really if i could get more energy somehow maybe do six damage discard one card move one tile back when damage is dealt this for example seems nice it's a way to move after the fact of the attack i think i'm gonna go with this although this is nice and all um 18 damage is very nice but the thing is that it's a one-time thing and i have to play right then and there because in your hand yeah i have to play it when i drive otherwise it's off so let's go with this level urge let's get some mobility by the way the game is extremely hard so i might not win first try now time to explain this so for you to fight the final boss you have to do five fights with the first being the first one after those five fights pat five five fights pass by the way this is the left side so let's transfer this over uh i'm not allowed to transfer item it seems until i'm in the fight i will do it in the fight so i was saying after you do five fights this here as you can see here in the background this thing is lighting up this thing is gonna open up and it's gonna be the final boss but for me to access the final boss i have to go through at least one of these three piles otherwise i will have fights in front of me so obviously i don't think it's a good idea to go to the middle pile because it's fight fight fight and i don't think i will do all three of these fights i think i should do one two and then three four and that should be all the fights and i would have access to resting mediating resting shop mediating everything in between so i would say let's begin with an event to see what we get accept the gift okay a fan approaches you with a crazed look in his eyes and grabs you by the arm oh my god oh my god i love you please have this he displays no intention of letting go accept the gift receiver card random card use something to attract him remove one card removing cards is always good in these games wrestle your arm free and run lose fat no why would i do this um i don't want to get a random card right now let's remove a card for free pretty much i would say let's remove a block for now yeah let's remove a block for now let's remove a blue block who cares maybe the blue oh maybe i should have yeah maybe i should have gone with the red block because most of the time i will have on the right if i find the shield i will put on the right although i have never seen a shield in this game i will not go to the shop yet because i don't have money so let's go fight fight then do these things and then elite okay this is the first fight we do then which is not a joke fight so we got a shield actually increased block by two increased block by four so already the mistake came back to bite us i would say i would like the leverage on my left but uh you know just for one more damage but i just threw out the right shield well mega mistake on my part i guess shield on the left it is so this thing does increase block by two when i block something that is on my left hand so this doesn't mean that i permanently have to block this means that all the left side blocks i mean if i equip it are gonna do two more shielding so enemies plans to catch you enemies plans to do five damage enemy plans to catch you i would say we go here now we equip this no no no no no no no we equip this on my left side yeah because i have more shields on the left the only thing that the rusty darker is not benefiting right now is leverage and uh then i will leverage no no no no let's play this correctly let's place correctly cancel average let's go with strike boop and now we leverage boop and this moves us back uh discard whatever it won't really matter and let's end our turn we shot he's reloading so because of the range attack he has to reload uh he's trying to grab us and he's also trying to grab us i mean i don't care if he grabs us the only thing i care about is him not shooting us now this shield here has a power move it says increase block by four this is this button here if i use it it's a one time thing and i can pay money on the shop to regain it pretty much so i'm not gonna use it right now this is only a panic button i guess uh i think i should move and kill this instead of just going for the kill kill i mean i could go for attack attack and kill but the next and then then on the next round he's gonna move down and try to shoot us and if i don't have enough shields i have one shield and he did like five or six damage i have to draw two shields i think i'm gonna just yolo it and go for the kills here so let's go five and bleed six and bleed let's give a kill on the i could do a kill on anybody of those that's the same let's kill this thing and i love it what what's that whoo and i got three turn combo that's on the turn intercept uh he's trying to do five damage to us if i had yep i'm i'm pretty much locked in but it doesn't matter because i can do a strike kill him and now i can do lock and block and this guy's gonna shoot at us but it won't matter there's a portion here which i can go up and uh go and gather but um i can gather the potion the next round too let's move on closer let's slam him boom off to the corner you go and let's go for a strike with a stronger strike but and he's bleeding nice i would say let's end the turn he's gonna try to attack us but it won't matter if he's toast and now the game is gonna pick up the potion for me you win that wasn't enough you gotta try harder so we didn't get three three three four three we got five four six five because they were happy about one move i did so uh this is a right side shield it's six damage expand all block expandable block oh this is an offensive thing okay okay sorry for that the best defense deal six damage expand all block and deal one additional damage reach not really uh x entertainer deal 14 damage receive rewards from the audience if target dies this is two minor 14 damage and it exhausts removed from deck until that fight ends so this is straight up better than the 16 damage exhaust if you don't use it was it 16 damage i think it was this is two pips for uh almost the same damage and it only exhausts if you use it in strategy just again i like this receive rewards from the audience if target dies i like this it's two mana it uh it's 14 damage it's definitely more efficient than the six one mana six damage we have right now gain four strength increase damage still by one so this is going to increase the damage we do buy four pretty much and then it gets removed so we can have this on our pouch off we go that fight's done we didn't even lose life i will go okay my plan is to go fight leave the rest here so that i can heal or i could train so trains level up your cards i can fight then maybe level up our cards then uh switcher card collar then level up another one of our cards although there is here heel too to be honest i should go fight the lead fight and then pretty much all the rewards and then go fight the final boss that's uh that's what i should do so we somebody threw a crossbow at us increased damage by two and reload i mean it's it's it's giving us ranged options should we go for ranged options what is this thing enemy plans to defend for 16 block can't be interrupted by attacks this is good i'll let the enemy get 16 block uh when an enemy has block or if you break it they get stunned so him creating block for himself is gonna make it so that we can stun him and block does not work for enemies as it works for us what i'm trying to say is that yeah block for enemies works differently uh should i get the crossbow i mean i think i should yeah let's cut the crossbow let's equip the crossbow let's have the dagger in the back pouch let's be let's play arranged i can't really use it right now so uh might as well pass so range things have reload as you see here reload requires one damage del one damage dealing combat card to reload after you choose so i have to use some kind of card to reload it and uh yeah that's that's how it works let's end the turn yeah there's nothing to do here let him gain block let them come closer i would say i should run up and entertain shot this guy [Music] uh to be honest i would like to do wind up plus shot but i have no good positioning on that let's go up uh could i leverage not really strike i think i should do the 16 damage here boop it's not an entertainer move but it's strike place the strike on our own to reload the weapon pretty much uh now that i'm thinking about this maybe the rusty dart was a better idea you know i cannot unequip right now maybe the rusty dog was a better idea i have a 12 attack here it's range though and once again if i move i'm i will not be able to use it i would say move up and try to shoot this guy down yeah i mean i took the bow yeah it's not a good idea i think i should swap for the dag right now yeah now they do 10 and he's doing 10 to us i could strike this to death and strike him and then uh leverage i'll do that so he will die from a six attack i'm doing double damage right now so this is five normally in this also five so let's go five here now we go five here that's a kill now we go uh leverage on him it's gonna break his stun and i also get some congratulations this is too good two good boys too good he's stunned so next turn i will most likely move closer to him just to do the attack oh i got the slam so let's go with the slammer combo one somebody threw me a bag of tricks to draw three cards kaboom caboom and congratulations sorry you're totally worth it do that again i will the enemies cannot pick up items it's just on the ground they just move around so if i attack three times it's three times fifteen he's about to do eleven i'm not really willing to take that much damage so if i had two shields then i would do shield shield and strike but because i don't i'm not gonna do triple shield this is five plus six plus seven five and seven is thirteen and five yeah it's not lethal so let's run back let's try to stay in the middle of the arena as much as possible and that's another turn here and he's gonna move close he's guarding perfect perfect if he's guarding then that's really good for us i can move down i can do a wind up for the next round and i would say let's pass the turn he's gonna come closer here he has a 16 damaging coming here take one hit take two hits congratulations are another boom right now he lost his stun he's bleeding i mean he removed the bleed not he's bleeding he takes no he stunned so four four another four i got an axe somebody threw me an axe increased damage by three but it's heavy heavy means that every time i use the hammer for damage i will get a debuff on my deck the debuff is fatigue oh it's a card that is a one cause you can see it there it's a one cost card that does nothing and you can you have to use one mana to pretty much remove it yeah he's just jumping around it doesn't really matter kaboom that we're gonna pick these up at the end always on the only thing not picked up are the stones and the stones on you get a pass but that doesn't mean you occur i get sevens and fives and sevens and twelves now we get more money choice blurry attack two times do three damage each for one man obviously we need that attack oh it's 18 so it's not six 16 is i think the one we have yeah this is 14 so for or for less damage you don't get that exhaust on its own oh also this thing i can use it a lot of times yeah maybe maybe it's not that bad kick deal 2 damage and knock the enemy back i will go with the flurry it actually really works with the dagger we have bag of tricks i would say let's throw away the crossbow i don't think i'm going to use it and let's get the bag of tricks to draw three cards when need be i'm not sure i really want the axe it does three damage all right but uh the the fatigue that applies is gonna cut into our power i think so [Music] we damage but the fatigue can i remove the fatigue somehow other than playing the cards i don't think so so let's play preston x on that and get some 11 coins maybe i should have gone for it i mean this is a rusty dagger for a reason and that's uh asks for a reason i'm still for life so i guess i will go here delete fight and maybe we will use some resources today but did we get the hammer they say max so if i want the axe i can get it right now i have a shield block shield six so i will rush into this guy and try to get rid of him as fast as possible but and uh instead of doing the shield i will actually do leverage which is also gonna make the crowd go wild let's throw this out it's on the turn now this these guys are all gonna come closer the mini boss is not 15 damage and entertain uh is he bleeding enough no he's not because i was thinking about doing 15 damage on him on him okay i think oh i could do wind up and and instantly kill this guy i think i should initia uh initiative over here and 15 damage to him because otherwise i'm gonna get hit a bit good shield i could do wind up and kill this guy and then no i don't have enough mana for everything 15 damage to him and shield no yeah i don't see any solution let's go over here and let's remove this guy from existence and i got what i got eight block as an item let's end the turn here i think the time has come to drink the strength potion four times two no two times four okay let's go with the strength potion should i should i though can't i not kill him i think i kill him five plus five five plus six plus seven times two yeah he's super dead oop oop boom yeah people yeah that's what i call fight outstanding i love her yeah i love me too what did we find we found the spear experience one damage thing increases damage by one attack two tiles it's heavy though and it's also two-handed and pierced his shielding yeah no uh he has 25 strength he also has a passive which says that uh gain one strength when whenever you play a card that is not a combat i mean he means me so he will gain plus one strength whenever i don't play a combat card now he's gonna move [Music] uh do i wanna get this potion or the draw three cards i think i do but the thing is if i move from where i am he's gonna get power and turn let him come to us rippling blow da gun what is this shot straight forward applied to vulnerable increased damage received by 50 for one turn ignores block to deal damage directly i should have read that before i didn't do anything i'm gonna just do a wind up here and wait for him to come in yeah i'm not gonna do anything let's hope we get some damage here okay i think we can break his shield reliably right wait ten plus six ten plus six plus six i would assume six and six oh i can't i can't actually break his shield reliably oh with strength though i can let's go strengthen drink strength start up playing some bleeders [Music] nice and he stunned and now we try to go in this is insane he's still stunned let's go with bleed first and then damage and more damage he is still stunned let's hope now we get a retreat and the other moves we have you know our maneuvers i found flurry here that's decent can we actually kill him is the main question because if we can't we should run so eight times two i would obviously do strikes first source n9 plus 10 plus uh yeah he's super dead nine plus nine a plus ten correct now flurry boom boom i don't expect it that's what's insane or saying yeah that was great haha you become the star of the show look at this 12 13 12 13 13 15. look at this we're rich we're rich and now we also have all the items and now we got a new car to add when when you fight the leads in this first of all you find powers and secondly you find five choices one mana seven block android card insane a lot better than the the block we have by the way it's a right hand block which is not good for us at least man i should have removed the left side whatever again one strength that's it forever plus one power and it doesn't remove itself it doesn't do anything so every time this come along you gain forever plus one strength i like this apply one flammable whenever you deal damage this is permanent there's a permanent buff for the rest of the fight take one direct damage at the end of each turn stack decrease each turn remove from deck until the fight ends so this is gonna make all our damage burn but the thing is i don't really care about our damage is burning this is good but if i attack three times and i'm still in front of the enemy and they're alive i'm gonna get toasted switch positions with a target and then exhaust no think fast draw three cards for zero and then remove it from the deck i like these two uh to be honest i would say let's go with beef up take one so this is apply for one flammable whenever you deal damage take one direct damage so if i attack one three times if i did the combo i just did okay so two attacks plus a double attack for them four attacks it would apply four blade for burn and uh that would do four damage plus three the next one it's it's really low it really looks low i mean this is the same thing almost the same thing i'll go with beef up this is good but i will go with beef up offense offense offense uh i would say let's pick this up increase damage by one attack two tiles it's two-handed though and this is the exhaust thing i like my bleed especially the way i play this it's not straightforward i'll play too vulnerable [Music] double damage this is double takes uh this is this is really good enemy takes 50 more damage i think eight block might be a bit more important than drawing three cards so let's sell this and let's draw three cards again eight block yeah i think i'm gonna go withdraw again a block and 44 coins three cards might be good and all but i prefer this uh we still haven't lost life so let's go into fighting uh you know what because i didn't lose yet i will go rest and train to power up one of my cards what does this get zero cost i like the zero cost on that what does this get into strength double the power i like this beef up is good entertainer 22 damage not really uh what else this thing attack three times this is really really really good with the build we have okay so i like that and beef up i think i will go with beef up doubling the speed that will check in strength this card does not say that it exhausts so i hope the game does what it says choose create forget or switch if i create i get a new card if i forget i delete the card from my deck and if i switch i switch a call from my card of mine so i will do switch i think i was thinking about switching and switching the leverage over to the right side or or i could switch one of the guards to the right side the the other guard i have switches to switch it to the right to the left side i think leverage bleeding is a good idea or i could just remove a strike a left side strike i think removing a left side strike is better leverage is mostly used when i try to go away from the enemies yeah let's remove forget let's remove a left side strike and this rest i'm gonna leave for uh before maybe need be after this fight i'm still not gonna go to the shop is there a reason not to go to the shop yeah let's just do this fight i think we're gonna lose spiky spiky spiky that took you long enough hey i can't see what is this a new shield increased block by one oh this is just a trash shield in comparison to my normal shield i like how the shield is called shield not even a wooden shield or something uh enemy plants to deal to damage everything around it spiky when attacking two damage back oh these things have 10 life all in oh nine life okay so these things don't have a lot of life but you have to shield before you attack them good to know so theoretically speaking i could move down and kill with entertainer but that's obviously not a good idea i could move down beef up and guard you can also oh he's he's shooting with an arrow oh everybody has low life in this fight okay i would say let's go to the left let him reload let's uh let's beef up let's let's uh let's build ourselves up a bit your beef up so now i have permanent plus two strength i hope i hope that's how this works and yeah i can't really do anything so let's end the turn safety block are these things moving yeah they are okay so [Music] i have a guide i can kill both of them so let's do guard six now uh let's go for the flurry i would say slam this thing is doing two times two i was thinking about destroying these guys then and because two times two is gonna to try to shoot us nice okay so i was gonna do initiative guard and then try to kill the uh i can't kill anything i guess wind up oh leverage then jump over there so first of all oh he's not shooting wait wait cancel cancel cancel oh i don't need to cancel got it so he's not shooting so i can just do leverage either way and just get jump back so guard leverage backwards that's gonna do two damage to the shield and then uh and then wind up and that's pass i guess so let's do guard let's do leverage throw away one of those i have for shielding so these guys do not do any damage to us and now we double our next attack so now we can actually remove some of those guys yep yep i've gotta hurt aha watch out okay archer still cannot do anything over there i would say we start with a guard and i kill everybody let's say i got six can i 14 damage one shot this guy we're gonna get hit too much and we're gonna get hit too much so we move back i know i'm in a corner but we're gonna make it shield one shot this guy [Music] it's the same way one shot now he's gonna do fourth quest which we can all hardly do grind potion game three hardy increase block gain from cards by one can i have a shield i have a shield can i shield in a retainer no i can shield beef up and get a kill or i can move over here shield and beef up i'm gonna do that over here shield and beef up the reason i'm playing instant slow and steady is because the more beef ups i get the more i can one shot these guys and the less i need to actually care about all of that you see now this does 10 damage so now i can do and this does not so now i can do shield one hit and jump back boom bye throw whatever out because i'm not gonna use it and one shot this guy too you see we got two kills because we got beefed up enemies reloading yep we continue the beef ups so let's yeah let's just beef up and uh this too and turn nice go with shield we go with your toe nope we're not gonna do your toast because i'm not sure if this guy's gonna shoot safety you know safety first uh how much damage six i guess we're gonna move out of the way there beef up and turn sorry i'm playing this slow and steady i don't want to lose any knife i have a shield i don't have a shield i don't have a shield i cannot hack i'm definitely gonna get shot oh i'm not okay now we got everything so move on the side guard and strike this thing down it's putting a good show yeah because we do insane amounts of damage and i'm gonna go for an entertainer kill so we go here entertainer killed 46 damage let's go and i also got an item that wasn't enough gonna try harder obviously i gotta try harder but it's not threes it's eights and nines so it's decent one firepower for two energy for the rest of the fight in four block when occupying a flaming tile at the end of each turn ignore the effects of flammable so i'm unflammable reinforced gear all equipment in your deck in one additional power move power move this fight all equipment in your deck again one additional power move this fight uh i guess it means this well not sure there's a bloody trap within two tiles it's four damage when stepped on and then applies three bleed and one immobilized that's good that's good if i try to run around increase damage received yeah i like this immobilized unable to move for one turn cannot be stacked i like this trap let's let's use the trap let's raise the trap you know uh shuriken throw straight for forward deal two damage and apply to bleed okay what's this gain three hardy increases block gained from cards by one and it gets slower and lower gain eight block take double damage play to bleed you know i think i will deal with this not double damage like 50 more damage taken i think now we're ready to go to the boss so we go to this shop first actually we don't have axe to the ball oh i have access to the boss i didn't know okay uh half the info i gave in the beginning is wrong equipment or cards buy equipment sell equipment buy cards remove cards switch cards this guy helps with switching card colors but equipment could i get a better dagger maybe let's go i like my cards i like my deck let's go with a bigger dagger maybe sell card switch what do you mean sell card oh he can also switch colors then i i didn't need to go to the other guy at all mail breaker increase damage by one whenever you deal on lock damage apply one bleed deals piercing damage our move that's producing damage oh that's the same thing but with a power move well this this is literally the same thing but with a power move which damage by one whenever you unblock damage or play one bleed increase damage whenever you deal on block damage apply one lead yeah that's the same thing i'm not gonna buy that uh i guess sell the card oh these counts are car these counts as cards okay okay then i'm not gonna sell a card okay well now i understand how the the other item works switch color uh for a hundred i don't want to switch color the shields have all switched color right oh they have not so switch the shield i would say switch this wait can i cancel this i can well then let's do this on the next shop i'm not gonna roll for 75 let's go to the yeah leaving the shop concludes the event i don't care let's see what the event does train with him upgrade one random card and lose 10 hp random card what attack and rob him gain 100 gold lose 80 hp imagine attack no wait uh i can't 100 gold upgrading a card because you know this is better because upgrading a call costed like 100 let's do this i don't know if it's gonna bite us in the end uh i would say forget we get a left strike i would say forget the left strike switch and let's forget the left strike yeah bye bye let's go to the last shop i'm gonna go with cards here let's see what we got in one poised and one light-footed poised or one additional car next turn who cares light for the initiative bus zero next turn okay so no um final blow deal two damage increase damage by one each time this car does retain this fight and retain so i can keep this in my hand pretty much forever this is a left strike though if it was a right strike maybe or gain three block whenever you play status i don't really play statuses do i combat skill nope i played statuses i mean status are the negatives hit and run deal six damage gain block equal damage dealt do damage though and it's the left strike two leverage again for the jump and roll this is a one time thing if you wow how important is to move in this game seems like really important uh let's go with switch colors let's go with uh i think better shielding is more important than better damage especially another leverage let's go with the better shield switch this to the shield side it's sold out remove a card i would say i should remove another strike the reason the reason i'm removing all those is because first of all i want to only draw the right side and secondly i want to draw the cards that i want to use so let's remove let's remove another strike then i will have three blocks yeah three blocks and uh three strikes so my it's one two three four blocking one two three four five for damaging and then one first third turn minus one and fourth turn uh whatever i would be normally and then it always goes up and up and up maybe uh draw one additional cottage turn i don't know i like the storm bracer the way i'm playing i'm moving around a lot and this is three less damage for the first turn but after that it should go out of hand let's let's go with this i definitely don't like the wounds and uh oh
