welcome again to another further episode of the armrest bench my name's Vic and here we are again with another unicorn gun Raygun this is a entry into the u.s. ACR advanced combat rifle program it's a flash at firing rifle which is to me having researched previous AI products such as the SPI Tulio program it looks an awful lot like that lineage it is a polymer upper and lower cover with a film metallic action it fires flechette rounds and originally the first version of this used proprietary m16 magazines which was dangerous to say the least because it didn't fire 556 ammunition it fired a polymer or plastic kissed flechette in single or three round high stock that with bursts so the magazine was redesigned so that the magazines are not interchangeable it's a aluminium and plastic magazine with a plastic for the base of this magazines even marked AAI because it's proprietary this rifle is similar to the Colt eser in that it has a sighting rib luminous rib along the top of the receiver with a fairly conventional front sight what looks like a suppressor which is in fact a compensator for recoil and for signature firing signature typically these rifles were filled with not the Excite which this one is missing to [ __ ] the weapon it is fairly conventional you have a cocking handle here the ejection port is on the right hand side the selector is on the right hand side it's not ambidextrous the butt plate on this and the sling swivels strange enough our standard m16 parts but the rest of it is entirely proprietary the pistol grip is an exact duplicate of an m16 pistol grip but it's molded as a unified part with the lower receiver if we turn the weapon over we can see the ejection port here which is rather large to allow the ejection of the empty plastic cases from when the flesh is fired I can see a cocking is on the left hand side it's a fairly short throw action probably only about three inches it files from a closed bolt in three shot and single shot mode at quite handy weapon it's quite economic I quite like it because it's it's quite long and my arms along but I could see that if something is that's short statured it might be a difficult thing to show that let's do some close-up on it and see what it is here's the a is your rifle as you can see normally the optic sight will fit here magazine paddle release ambidextrous on both hand sides I do it single hand as be awkward as the floor plate and on the base eyes logo if I select a single or three rind high cyclic rep burst quite a nice palm swell here check out her grip as the gas system underneath the the louvers here and there's the action we look inside we can see the the bolt and the extractor when we find out how to strip this we'll take it apart I have a look combined for Scheider mostly compensator on the left hand side you have the cocking handle it's quite the short throw as you can see it's number three inches the action hinges here but using these tick down pins I can't get it apart so there's obviously some trick to it as the ACR logo serial number 20 quite conventional trigger pistol grip very much like an m16 I have a 16 sling silver and vodka unfortunately I don't have a manual for this and our dassault went out to see how to field-strip to show you the mechanism so we revisit this as sim as we're going to revisit this styie ser rifle program but let's do some close-up shots so you can see you okay thanks once again for joining me here on the armrest bench and looking at some rare and interesting small arms from the past we will be visiting more varied and historic swamps as we come across them so keep watching please like share and subscribe the channel and we'll see you next time bye for now you
