are you going on Royal Caribbean Symphony Of The Seas if you are this video is for you I'll take you on a walking tour to every place you'll spend most of your time while on the cruise right after [Music] this welcome to the Symphony of the seas in this walking tour I'll start off with the three major neighborhoods we'll go down to deck five in the Royal promino then we'll work our way back up to deck six in the boardwalk we'll then go up two decks to Central Park and take in all the greenery after that we'll head up to the pool deck which is deck 15 and walk down both the starboard and Port sides then we'll go down briefly to deck 14 in the salarium then we'll head back up to deck 16 and walk around the top of the pool deck after that we'll hit up the Wind Jammer and the salarium Beast stroke and for a bonus I'll take you to all three theaters at the end the Symphony of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean's Oasis class ships and I'll get into more of its specifications later on in this [Music] video this is the Royal prominade forward this deck is where you will initially enter the Symphony of the Seas the Royal prominade has lots of entertainment lots of shopping and two places to get coffee it has both a Starbucks which is not included in any drink package or anything basically that you can purchase on any of the Royal Caribbean ships but you can use your Starbucks card to purchase drinks however you cannot redeem Stars when you are purchasing your drink s this is the onair club which is the karaoke bar that's on this cruise ship this is where you can go to get a drink and to show everyone your talents at singing yeah and that won't ever be me just so you know if you ever think you're going to run into me on one of these cruise ships and I have run into several of You by the way uh you will never catch me in here other than to be editing some of these videos across the Royal prominade from the karaoke bar is boleros and this is your Latin inspired bar they have Latin music at night they also in my opinion make some of the best margaritas on the cruise ship however on the Symphony of the Seas this is the home of the art auction and I am not a fan of this because a lot of times I will go down and sit in boleros just to relax or to as I said work on editing videos and most of the time it's filled with artwork because they're getting ready for the art auctions which they should really find a different place to put the art for [Music] that down the center here this is the prominade shops they sell watches they'll bring stuff out throughout the cruise that's that's on sale they'll sell lanyards all sorts of different things throughout the cruise [Music] off to the left is sentos which is the pizza restaurant that is absolutely free when you're on the ship the copper and Kettle Pub is off to your right the copper and Kettle Pub is has the same LoveHate relationship I have with all the the pubs on Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships and that is they have a ton of beer but they have only a couple on top and that was the case here as well as I said this is sarentos and you can get pizza here pretty much throughout the entire day you can get individual slices which they will have out from like three or four different types of pizza but you can also get your own customade pizza if you want to wait for it there's tons of seating in here there is water that you can get throughout the day for free and as I said all the pizza all you can eat it's absolutely free and here's a look inside the copper and Kettle there's quite a bit of seating in here however they are wooden chairs and you will see in just a second they have these big big soft looking chairs that you can sit in however I am 5'10 and those chairs if I put my back against the back rest my legs stick out straight in front of me because my legs are not long enough to bend over the chair which makes them very uncomfortable up to the left is the next Cruise where you can book your next cruise with ryal Caribbean and the rising Tide bar which if you've never seen before is a bar that goes up and down like an elevator it starts down in the Royal prominade which is on Deck five and works its way all the way up to deck 8 which is Central Park right in front of us is the cafe prominade that is basically a Starbucks that doesn't have the Starbucks name attached and yes the coffee you get in there is actually Starbucks coffee so if you have the drink package and you want a caramel macchiato you can go in there and say I want a latte with caramel flavoring and you've got a free C macchiato or if you want to just simply spend less you can go in there as well they do have some food like uh donuts and pastries and little sandwiches that are absolutely free you can go in there and get those as well the coffee drinks keep in mind are not free however the coffee is so you can get a cup of coffee with cream if you want but you cannot get a uh like a latte for free you have to pay for that this is a closer look at the rising Tide bar now on Symphony Of The Seas they do not keep to a very good schedule this thing goes up and down kind of at the bartender or controller's whim which is a little Annoying this is the bionic bar and uh first time I used this thing on this cruise ship I used to live in Las Vegas and we had the same thing in Las Vegas and I did use it there but this is the first time I actually used it on one of Royal Caribbean ships and my drink was outstanding now we're toward the AFT end of the roal prominade this is where you find the port and shopping desk so if you want to get any of those discount coupons for the approved shops you can this is also where you can find the Voom internet desk where you can purchase internet or if you need some help you can get that as well if there's no one there and you need help on your internet connection just go to the guest [Music] services and guest services is to the left facing this direction of the rising Tide [Music] bar and you can see it right there all right let's head on up one deck to deck six and work our way aft to the boardwalk [Music] heading up these stairs or ladder as you would say on the ship to deck six you can see the Schooner bar and also up here you will find the shore Excursion desk as well as the photo area so if you are taking part in any of the photo packages or you just want to look at the photo pH that have been taken you can do that here which is where the focus area is and also you can purchase action cameras and some accessories as well for those and here is the Schooner bar this is also where you will find the desk for the Crown and Anchor Society so if you have any issues or questions with regards to your Crown and Anchor points that's where you would go ask [Music] [Music] and here we are in the boardwalk just like with the other Oasis class ships there's a carousel up there and you can see the steps they went through and carving the horses for that on the le- hand side is the boardwalk dogghouse which is a free hot dog and sausage restaurant you can go up there and get hot dogs with sauerkraut and other toppings on them as well as some different sausages and this is the carousel which even though I am very much an adult I enjoy riding it at least once on every every cruise ship that has one anyway off to the right here is playmakers that is a sports Style Bar where you can get um drinks and watch sporting events on the TV and they also have bar food and it's pretty good however it is not included with your cruise fair so you will have to pay extra for any food that you consume while at that restaurant it is a great place to sit down and get a beer they do have a fairly good selection of beers on tap as well as bottled beers and other mixed drinks off to the left here is Johnny Rockets Johnny Rockets is also not included with your cruise fair you do just pay one price however and you can order basically as much food off the menu as you want and in front of us here is the exit to the ultimate Abyss slides those are dry slides that you go down in this like burlap sack thing and it might seem really scary when you're at the top but it isn't that bad when you're going down just don't sit up or you'll hit your head I figured that out the hard way this time this is a look inside [Music] Playmakers this is the bar area you can see there are sporting events on the TVs everywhere don't forget if you've been on Royal cariban more than once you do get discounts on Johnny Rocket's milkshakes so make sure you take advantage of those look at your Crown and Anchor benefits and you will see that you do get 50% off some of those milkshakes depending on your Crown and Anchor level if you're interested interested in learning more about Crown and Anchor I will link to a video in the description below and it will go over all the benefits for all the different [Music] levels this is the aqua theater and this is where they have their Cirus style water shows when I was on this Cruise there were two different shows there was the one at night that went basically every night of the cruise which they cancelled quite a few times due to weather and then there was also one at the very end of the cruise during the day which was quite outstanding as well this is where you'll also find the rock climbing walls on Symphony Of The Seas only rock climbing wall number one was open which is the one you're looking at right here on the other side of the ship is rock climbing wall too and that was never open and as you can see they only have three lanes open here man the far right one was by far the most challenging rock climbing wall that I've done on any of the Royal Caribbean ships and this is a look at the other wall that is not open and also the biggest Mirrorball at Sea they use that during the aqua theater show at night and it is absolutely [Music] huge all right now we find oursel up on Deck 8 in Central Park and this is the a section of Central Park which is where the rising Tide bar will come up it's also where 150 Central Park is which is one of the specialty dining restaurants on the Symphony of the sea and off to the left side here is chops Grill which is also a specialty dining restaurant that focuses on [Music] Stakes both of those restaurants are not included with your cruise fair and they are an extra fee if you're interested in whether or not you might like one of those restaurants I do have reviews of almost every specialty dying restaurant on the Royal Caribbean ships and you can find those on my channel and I will leave links for those in the description as well there are a couple that I haven't done yet but I have them I just haven't posted them yet this is the trellis bar you can grab a drink at night here and head off to the area where the live music is which I spent most of my evenings listening to that this is the Park Cafe the Park Cafe is a free restaurant you can go in here and get food if you don't want to go to the wind Jam or you can get something small there is also coffee available in there and coffee Beverages and just like down on the Royal prominade the coffee beverages are not included but the coffee is included this is Jim's Italian and it is an Italian specialty dining restaurant and right now it is tied with the Mason jar AS my two favorite specialy dining restaurants on Ro Caribbean ships this is vintages which is a wine bar I will give you a hint when you get on the Symphony of the Seas and you're trying to find a place to hang out until your cabin is ready this is a great place to go there's almost never anyone inside vintages and now we're at the forward section of Central Park by the way if you didn't know all this Greenery it's all real this is not fake these are all real plants there is actually a person that Royal Caribbean has on each of their Oasis class ships whose entire job is to keep these plants alive there's also a lot of extra seating here in Central Park and as I said earlier in the nighttime they have jazz bands they have guitarists they have lots of different music out here and and yes it's not as crazy as you'll find down in the Royal Prim but if you just want to sit down and relax and be entertained this is the ideal place to do [Music] it Jamies by the way has seating both inside and outside however as you can see the chairs outside are just these metal chairs and they are not very comfortable so usually I will sit inside however you can't listen to the music if you're inside you can hear it but it's not as good as if you sit [Music] outside the only problem with Central Park is if it's raining out it's raining in Central Park because it is open to the sky as you can tell by the wind blowing the trees around right [Music] now and here again is the rising Tide bar this is where it will spit you out if you take it up to central part from the Royal prominade and here is more of the 150 central part 15 Central Park builds itself as the basically the hoyy toyy especially dying restaurant on these Oasis class ships it is very dark in there and as I said I do have a review of it I have definitely had amazing food in that restaurant as well as absolutely horrible food in that restaurant on Symphony Of The Seas it was some of the best food I've ever had in especially dining restaurant so what am I saying for me it's been pretty much Hit or Miss Welcome to the salarium on Deck 15 forward the salarium is an adults only area on real Caribbean cruise ships and if you've been in this area before they just recently upped the age from 16 to 18 years old so if you are under the age of 18 you cannot come in this area unless you're walking through it they don't care if you walk through it but you can't sit down in the chairs this is also where you will find the salarium beastro this is the basically the second Buffet sort of area that you can eat at on the Symphony of the Seas it's not as large as the Wind Jammer but it tends to be overlooked by a lot of the crew guests so if you're looking for a place that might not be so crowded but yet you still want the buffet sort of feel you can come here and get some food we're now walking down the starboard side side of the cruise ship on Deck 15 and as I said before deck 15 is the pool deck as you'll see in a second off to the left here is one of the two large hot tubs that they have on both sides of the ship right by the solarium and you'll see that in more detail as we come back the other side you can kind of make out the perfect storm water slides here were underneath them a little bit bit and there are water slides on both starboard and Port sides of the ship and here you can see Central Park down below where we just were this is the area that is open to the sky and you can look down over Central Park from this deck as [Music] well and right now as we pass this hot tub we are going to find the first pool on this tour and this is called the beach pool why is it called that there isn't any sand however as you can see the chairs on the left here are actually sitting in the water so kind of like you're at the beach and here's another Whirlpool as well [Music] tons and tons of places to sit they have regular chairs on the right hand side and they have the lounge chairs on the left hand [Music] side and up ahead of us here is the Sand Bar and straight in front of us is where you can get your towels for the [Music] day [Music] now we're approaching the the kids Splash area and man is it a splash area it's called Splash Away Bay and there is water going everywhere this is a amazing place for kids to hang out and get absolutely soaking wet and entertain themselves for hours on end while you're enjoying a drink and lounging out on the lounge [Music] chairs [Music] now continuing down the starboard side of the Symphony of the Seas we're about to approach aloco fresh which is an included Mexican style food restaurant where you can get all sorts of um uh chips with salsa and fajitas and burritos and and basically think of of a very highs scale Taco Bell and the food is outstanding in here and it is very very popular during lunchtime this place will be absolutely mobbed and they have a a walkup area where you get your food kind of like a mini buffet there's also a salsa bar where you can put all the different Salsas on your food that you've that you've picked up and up ahead is the Sports Court this is where you can play basketball there's pickle ball they set up for they have dodgeball competitions in here they are soccer nets so you can play some soccer basically anything that requires a court this is where you will find [Music] it and right now they are playing pickle ball the line for pickle ball can be quite long so if you're planning on doing some pickle ball make sure you get there before the time says on the cruise Compass because there will be quite a line of people waiting to play now we're going to head up kind of like half a deck and this is the very stern of the ship you will find the entrance to the ultimate Abyss up here so it goes all the way from this deck which is basically 15 and A2 all the way down to deck six which is the boardwalk through the mouth of that that fish there this is also where you will find the Flow Rider and Symphony Of The Seas does have two flow Riders The Wonder of the Seas only has one but the Symphony of the Seas does have too which makes the lines a lot shorter if you're planning on using the flow Riders on the ship there's also the wipe out bar this is a nice area to come it is not that loud and crowded you can grab yourself a drink there and then just get one of these lounge chairs that looks off the after the ship and enjoy the scenery while you're enjoying your beverage typically having two of these flow Riders what they do is one of them is the standup side where you can go and if you can you can stand up and surf that way and the other side is the Boogie boarding side where you can lay down on the board now we're on the port side of deck 15 well as soon as we go down these few stairs and this is where you'll find the mini golf course this is a ninho golf course and it was one of the better laid out mini golf courses that I've played on the different Royal Caribbean [Music] [Applause] [Music] ships as you can see down below that's where the boardwalk is and here's a closer up look of the mini golf course this area here has very large holes so the kids can practice their putting the most annoying thing for me and I totally understand why they do it is the golf balls they use are not golf balls they're these very lightweight balls that just look like golf balls and I am by no means means a good golfer however my putting game isn't that bad and I can't putt with those balls worth beans this is where if you take the zip line this is where you zip line too and where this is pointing right now that's where you get on the zip line so basically you just go diagonally across the opening to the boardwalk which is down [Music] below up on the right hand side here is where you will find the Patty Dive Center this is where you can go to get a mask or snorkel if you want to purchase one for one of the ports that you're going into however they also offer scuba diving lessons while on the cruise ship they they offer actually I believe two different levels of certification so if you're already certified and want to get move up a little bit you can do that while on the ship as well now we're coming up to our second pool remember the beach pool was on the other side of the ship this pool right here is directly across from the Splash Away area and it's the sports pool as with the other side of the ship there's lots of places to sit and there's a handful of hot tubs SL whirl pools on this side as [Music] well and up ahead is the pool bar that is basically a carbon copy of the sandb bar except for it reflects the name of the pool on this side of the ship and as you can see there are stairs or ladders going up to deck 16 on both sides and up ahead this is the main pool which is directly across from the beach pool and this pool the lounge chairs are not in the water this gives you a good view of the perfect storm water slides and here's another hint for you if you really want to go on those water slides the best time to do it is the day you get on the ship so in your carry-on bring with you a bathing suit so that you can change out of your clothing in one of the public restrooms before your stateroom is available and there will be no line at all on the first day of the cruise especially before you have access to your [Music] cabins and and here is the sister hot tub to the one we already walked by this is a huge hot tub that looks out over the ocean and my tip for you if you want to go in there is go first thing in the morning when it first opens if you do that there won't be a single person in it and you'll have it all to yourself now we're back in the solarium on Deck 15 one thing nice about the salarium is the fact that it looks straight in front of the cruise ship so if you get a lounge chair fairly close to these windows you can just look out at what we're going towards and if we're going in between say down in the Virgin Islands between the islands this is an amazing area to see all the views of what the ship's going through the salarium has several hot tubs inside of it as well as the two main major ones that are just outside of it there is a bar here as well and there are two stairwells that go actually there might only be one uh but anyhow this stairwell here goes down one deck to deck 14 which is a completely isolated area of the salarium and it's also where you will find the entrances to the two fly Bridges which are outside areas that you can stand on that stick out the side of the ship that go over the area that the captain pretty much stands in when he's bringing the ship in and out of port now on some of the Oasis class ships well on some of the other Royal Caribbean ships these fly bridges are sometimes closed it's up to the individual captains of whether or not these things are open or not when I was on wonder they were never open but on Symphony they were pretty much open all the time and as you can see they offer some amazing views up and down the full length of the [Music] ship and now let's head up to deck 16 this is is where you'll find the entrance to the Wind Jammer which is the main Buffet on Symphony Of The Seas well it's the main Buffet on pretty much every Royal Caribbean ship deck 16 is what a lot of people call the upper pool deck in other words there aren't any pools up here but you can look down on the pools that are on Deck 15 it's also one of the best areas to look out over the ocean because you can get a lounge chair that you can turn around and just gaze out over the water if you want and there are lounge chairs everywhere here as you can see this is Splash Away Bay from my top down View and on the other side of the opening there is where you will find the sports pool on this deck you'll also find these little Cabana things that there's one right in front of us you can rent those and the cost to rent them on Cay is very expensive and they must not have rented too many of them because most of them still had signs on them saying available to rent so here's here's a tip from someone who has a degree in economics if you lower the price Royal Caribbean you'll rent them and coming up here you you can see down over the beach pool and the main pool that's on the other side as well as you can look down into Central Park right there now let's go over some of the stats for the Symphony of the Seas while we're walking down this deck she's registered in the Bahamas she weighs in at 228,000 81 gross tons she's 1188 ft long and 215 and A2 feet wide she drafts 30 ft and she has a cruising speed of 22 knots she has a total of 6,680 guests and if you're just looking at Double occupancy that is 5,518 guests she has 2,200 internet National Cruise she has 18 decks 16 of which the passengers can get to she has 24 guest elevators and she has four bow thrusters and each Thruster having 7,500 horsepower she has seven neighborhoods Central Park Boardwalk Royal prominade pool and Sports Zone Vitality spa and fitness center entertainment place and the youth zone in addition to that she has complimentary dining throughout the ship however she has a whole bunch of specialty ding restaurants she has hooked Seafood Playmakers sports bar and arcade Wonderland 150 Central Park isumi Habachi and Sushi Johnny Rockets Jim's Italian the Coastal Kitchen and chops Grill and as you approach the front of the ship you can see down over the salarium from up [Music] here this is also the deck that you will find the specialty dining restaurant hooked which is the Seafood specialty dining restaurant on the Symphony of the Seas and it is the entrance to it is up here on the right hand [Music] side I also have a review of hooked up on this channel if you're interested in that as I said I will leave the link for it in the description below I am a fan of hooked there are a couple Goto items on the menu that I typically get when I go to hooked and they're very good and you can also get a lobster if you want when you visit this restaurant now we're going to the port side of deck 16 forward and we'll start working our way [Music] back [Music] I noticed first thing in the morning that there was another cruise ship off to the side we pulled way in front of them so we're obviously winning the race and probably burning a lot more fuel than they are and now we're back to the Wind Jammer as I said in the beginning of the video we'll finish this off with a tour of the Wind Jammer which is the main buffet and the Wind Jammer on the Symphony of the Seas is quite a bit smaller than on wonder but it is the same size as you'll find on the other Oasis class ships other than the Wonder it is a big horseshoe shaped facility and it's the one side is pretty much a mirror of the other side there's food stations all over the place and this tour is during breakfast you just grab a plate get your food and try to find a place to [Music] sit [Music] and this is a look inside the salarium beastro on Deck 15 at the opposite end of the ship you can get into this either from the El Ator area which is where you're supposed to enter it but you can also get into it from the solarium itself and this is just think a mini version of the Wind Jammer it is also if you do the chef's table that area right there is where you will eat the meal for the chef's table if you decide to do that the chef's table is a extra cost five course meal that's paired with wines and it's outstanding if you've never done it before and here we are in the Royal Theater the Royal Theater is where the main musical is held and a few other shows as well there's tons of seats but remember for the musical you do need to make reservations ahead of time if it's sold out or you forgot to do that you can wait in the standby Line This is the aqua theater during the daytime show that I mention the performers were amazingly good at what they did and this is Studio B which is the ice skating rink that's on the Symphony of the Seas you will find a show here at nights that you also o need to make reservations for however they do open it up during the day for ice skating and if you get the key like I typically do on Oasis class ships you can have the entire ice skating ring to yourself no that's not guaranteed but so far every time I've gone I've skated around with just cat or if I'm on the cruise by myself just by myself and here's a look at the show that was on the Symphony of the Seas and I'm not a huge ice skating show fan but this show was outstanding thank you for watching my name is Shan and this is the third orbit Travelers if you enjoy videos like this
