Sweet Couple Married 49 Years Get Dramatic Ambush Makeovers | TODAY

hi this week we have a very special edition of ambush makeovers for Valentine's Day we wanted to make over a deserving couple did teenage sweethearts Joe and Kevin Taylor been together nearly half a cent through their five children 14 grandchildren two great-grandchildren and 12 a 12 what'd I say - yes well great grandchildren and today they are ready for their newest adventure together so before we let them see one another and their new makeover CIL's take a look at the story we've been together 50 years because we met December 2nd 1967 I was 14 and he was 60 I think he was attracted to me because I look like I might be fun she's my best friend that's all there is you know who else compared my husband to when we first met Patrick Swayze in dirty dancing the only thing he didn't do was dance we just enjoy life we just have fun he's a crazy guy I bought a new Harley 20 years ago and we got over 80 thousand miles on it I want a beer contest once but I rode the Harley to the contest and the whiskers were standing out like this I've been trying for 20 years to get him to trim it and he won't do it I always wanted long hair I trim it every now and then sometimes you need a change person when you've been married forty nine years I expect to look absolutely fabulous when I leave here and I know Kevin you can't go wrong I can just imagine what you're gonna do to me with the power girl their brand-new looks from the liquori Cutler salon no sorry lalala get her an all-around fashion plate Jill Martin are you guys right I mean how do we find this married couple I I guess they found it through the internet a new contest but I have to tell you I've never seen a couple after 49 years so in love and just so incredibly pleased with the simple things in life yes it's so this is really a tree so we need to bring them out one at a time yeah okay first up we are going to bring Joe Taylor the wife let's look at her picture of Joe before uh-huh all right everyone deep breath all right Joe let's see your ambush makeover come on out [Applause] oh right Wow mama okay Joe hi hey love you got love you too Joe are you ready to see yourself oh yeah okay all right turn right around to the mirror right behind you oh my god yeah not even me Wow look absolutely gorgeous you look gorgeous what do you think happy yeah he's he's gonna whop my body really bad all right Joe here's who were gonna do come over here next to me okay okay now I'm gonna ask you to stand and face the snow if you don't mind okay so I don't - we don't want you to see your husband just yet all right all right you're right do look beauty looks mean gorgeous you oh this is so excited yes all right so now we want to see Kevin's before picture that way yeah all right look let's take a look at Kevin's before so we can see what he looked like before yeah all righty okay all right Kevin let me bring out the new Kevin [Applause] ready on three one two three spin around me anymore do you want to see what happened to your beard turn right around look in that mirror whoa I think I see him look at the bumpy on him yeah yeah young man's Bobby definitely Wow all right would you guys tell us what you did Lois and bill to this beautiful couple all right tell us about Joe Franz Joe what I did is I heard she she colors her hair once a year looks on a good year but she did skip two years and said thank god you're not a client I'd go broke but what we did is we until I colored her hair added highlights kept it very soft very natural this way if you desolate it extend a year which I hope not because I'm giving you your formula it will blend with her natural hair color right all right Jill that outfit to love it when shopping all day yesterday together separately so we want to thank Chico's for this beautiful outfit of course she picked this kind of cozy cozy and then we went to Men's Warehouse the entire look is Joseph Abboud why wouldn't how do you feel in that suit and with the beard ever been in one really oh yeah he has like four times okay fan tec-9 wonder uh Kevin we also put hair color on his hair on on his beard as well just so would you give it a little dimension do you like it does it move you feel amazing you'll know you're reaching or you know arson arson jerk off and of course he did did their magic as well too well guys I eat it back there and or arson thank you everybody all right hello today fans thanks for checking out our youtube channel subscribe by clicking that button down there and click on any of the videos over here to watch the latest interviews show highlights and digital exclusives
