hi welcome is simply scuba here we got the sinto Zoot novoed dive computer a very nice well-made dive computer a very simple user interface is got nitrox compatible so you can use nitrox with this dive computer backlight and everything that you need for a beginner ok so let's have a look and see what you actually get inside of the box so I'm just going to take the sleeve off and put that to one side opening the box up you've got your dire computer so I'm just going to take that from the internal sleeve out if I take these out it's about little Santos sticker you got your information on the limited warranty we've also got some safety information about Santo dive computers and then also inside the box you get a Quick Start Guide it just goes over everything that you need to know very very quickly about the dive computer and what it's going to look like when it's in the water so the Zoop novo is a decent-sized pot shaped dive computer decent-size on the wrist with a decent screen so you you've got plenty of square footage for all your information for button user interface very very simple very easy to use and navigate you've got the scratch guard that comes with it fitted just to protect that screen from any any damage looking at this side so this is your RAM your data link port so if you get the optional download cable it attaches onto that that then goes to a USB so you can plug it into your door and your desktop computer and download the dives off of it the straps you just get the standards rubberized buckle strap so it's nice long buckle that way you can adjust it if you're wearing a thick thick dry suit and under suit or a thick wet suit where you can have it just as tight as you want double retainer so you can really tidy up any strap on the underside you've got three Torx screws so this is a user changeable battery but they they do recommend that you take it to a Santos service centre to change your battery but if you do have a set of torque screwdrivers you can change that out yourself just up here is your serial number if you ever need that and looking at the computer very very simple and easy to use so you've got segment sections at the top and the bottom for information and then in the center you have this dot matrix which can tell you a lot more convoluted information instead of just the basic segments navigation you've got select mode up and down buttons and right now we're just in time mode so pressing up and down is going to cycle round through the secondary information but to change any of the settings you hold down the down button that goes through to general settings so general settings is where you select your dive mode now so if I just go into that you can change between air which is just dial on air nitrox this is when you're using enriched day and night rocks it's going to adjust your do your algorithms gauge mode turns the zoop novo into it just a basic depth gauge and bottom timer free dive mode is for the snorklers and the sort of apnea divers much much more frequent sampling rate and it doesn't penalize you for ascending too fast and then off just deactivates a water sensor so it doesn't go off every time the computer gets wet so I'm just going to set it to nitrox for later I'm going to look through the rest of the menus you've got your alarm so you can set you around your a daily alarm you can change the time you can change the dual time so if your word and abroad you can keep home time and foreign time changing the date changing the units between metric and imperial change the backlight duration how long the the back light stays activated for this computer now has a backlight if you hold down the mode button the the screen will illuminate but also if you shine a torch on it it will glow like the like the original loop always used to contrasts basically how dark your RAM your characters show on the screen tones is sort underwater noises and if you want to switch them off or not and then version just tells you which version you're running off of it'll show you and shows you the serial number is we're always quite handy so going into dive mode press the mode button once and that brings you into dive mode it shows you everything's working tells you the batteries okay and this is basically your dive screen at the top you have your current depth in the center right now it shows you surface time and no fly time but as soon as you get under the water that's going to change to your no decompression limit you've got your dive time at the bottom right and then your maximum depth on the bottom left pressing that up and down buttons is going to cycle through these secondary informations so you can change that to bottom temperature your your PPO to olf and then background to dive time on the right hand side you've got your maximum depth the time itself the gas mix that you're breathing right now and then background to and to maximum in the depth so holding down down button will take you back into the nitrox dive setting so now I'm just going to change it to a 30% nitrox mix so press select and then you can just press up and down to change your oxygen percentage so I'm just going to change that to 30 and as you change that your mo D is changing at the top this is quite handy for for filling out the nitrox log on the boat press select then you can change your your people your maximum PPO to if you want to but I'm just going to keep it there at at one point four and then that's it now it's set to night drops a very very simple quick and easy to use a quick change through some of the other settings you've got personal and altitude personal is basically how fit and healthy you are that's going to adjust how conservative the mayor the algorithm is then altitude is if you're diving at altitude it needs to adjust that decompression algorithm as well depth alarm is if you go down below a certain depth it will start to alarm dive timer alarm is that the elapsed time so if you set it to half an hour if you've been diving for half an hour the alarms going to sound sample rate is how quickly or how frequently it it remembers your depth and the time for your logbook and then deep stop if you want to activate deep stops instead of just one big sort of safety stop at the end of the dive you can do deep stops coming up during the dive so that's dive mode very sort of nice big easy to use and easy to read digits so I'll come through the rest of the the menus you've got planned mode so you can start to plan your future dives this is especially useful if if you're on your second or third dive of the day you can adjust it for your planned depth and it tells you you know decompression limit and then you have memory which is split into history and logbook so history is basically the overall how long you've been under the water so right now we're in a free dive history mode tells you your deepest dive and your longest free dive the amount of time you spent under the water and and how many free dives you've completed with this dive computer pressing up or down changes it to scuba history tells you how long you've been under the water on scuba with this computer your maximum depth and the number of dives your logbook is something slightly different this remembers each of your dives this is a brand new computer so there's no dives on it but you can press up and down to cycle through your most recent dives and that will tell you your maximum depth in your bottom time and all the information you need to know to fill out your where your log books so all in all it is a very very handy computer very easy to use nicely laid out very tough as well so it's great for the sort of beginner diver that will take you all the way up to that intermediate and advanced diving and that's the sinto zoop novo dive computer very very simple very easy to use very nicely laid out dive computer if you miss my latest scuba tube you can click on
