good morning everybody back out here to the Big Lot clear and he got the excavator warming up he was able to get the air condition fixed forgot what the problem was but should be taken care of now I've got probably another acre and a half or so to clear in the back maybe two uh Builder came out here and kind of laid out the house footprint we may end up cutting that down a little bit and Grading that out a little more level uh staked out kind of where the driveway needs to go and I got to cut a more fine swell through here and then put a pipe in more dirt there and obviously a dirt covert up there at the road Donnie's going to bring the kamasu Dozer over here cuz it does a lot better job fine grading and I might actually swap him out and put the D6 on the trailer and send it back to the job where the kamasu was going to kind of help move brush down there cuz I've got a fair amount of big stuff down there to move this little small bushy stuff the little Dozer actually works a little bit better so I'm going to go down there this morning probably go ahead and stack up that pile right there and then work on getting some more stuff on the ground and pile it up I stack up some brush into the burn pile so it definitely seems to uh work better to clear with the excavator and then push it all over here with the Dozer as far as keeping uh uh dirt out of the pile you know obviously there's some in there from when I cleared it with the excavator but not near as much as when I push it all up with the [Music] Dozer this stuff is dry dry dry now about something that will burn [Music] and the rest of it I'm just going to try to start working it that way because the burn pit that I'm going to well I'm not burning in the pit I'm just going to probably dig a hole at the end just because I'm not moving all this brush way over there to burn it it's just a lot of extra work so with this little stuff there shouldn't be I mean there's going to be some ashes left but I'm hoping I can just kind of move it over there with the uh Track Loader cuz I got to use the dirt from the hole I'm going to dig to level up the driveway and all that so I'll probably just dig a hole get a scoop of the loader bring some dirt come back grab a scoop of ashes and just kind of work it that way [Music] so there's still actually more dirt in here than I thought so kind of sit here picking this out get a big grapple full just kind of I'm just going to start shaking it out right here that way all the dirt doesn't fall back into the pile I'm grabbing and I don't have to move the same dirt three times [Music] the only thing bad about this little rush is it takes forever to clear and it's very hard to keep nice and clean just because it's so small that it just you know regular trees you can pick the branches out relatively easy the dirt just gets mixed in so easily with this stuff so you spend a lot of time picking through it for a little burn pile but if you don't you end up with a big pile of sticks and dirt and crap that doesn't burn so it's just part of it take a little time do it right w [Music] got a lot of dirt in it so kind of do that right [Music] there kind come in here to the side the pile and grab that and this little brush I tend to not pack it in the pile too much kind of the FL fluffier it is the better it burns now with big trees and everything the kind of the more it's packed in there the better it burns but this stuff right here since it still got some dirt and stuff in it you want to keep it a little looser it'll tend to burn a little bit better all right I'm going to keep picking through this throwing it in the pile and then start working on uh taking some more trees down so I made it all the way through this little section right here couple nice little white oak trees up here so I clear out around those just pile this brush up into a pile so I've made a pass up through here come across the back and some nice little hardwood trees there so going to work around those and leave that and then take this little section right here out and then that'll be everything from where I mulched over but I have another section past where I mulch is probably another half acre or so maybe a little bit more we're going to uh take that down as well cuz that's where I'm actually going to be digging the burn hole or guess the hole for all the ashes and my dirt to get my dirt that I need to build the [Music] driveway and that's going to give me a spot to as I grade over this as you can see there's a lot of surface Rock and some roots and stuff there left that's going to give me a spot to be able to waste that and spread that out or bury it or do whatever I want to to get rid of that cuz as you can tell there's definitely plenty of rock right here that we need to uh I'm going to scrape up what I can of it when I grade everything [Music] out gra little trees right here I let see anything worth saving all little gum trees so we'll rip all that up out and open this up that'll give me a nice spot to push through here as I'm grading that out you know it's nice to save some trees but also you have to leave some areas open to be able to work when you're pushing brush or roots and dirt it's hard to zigzag through a maze of trees so you kind of got to leave some groups you know if there are some nice trees re in here I'd leave them but nothing that's going to ever Mount to much right in [Music] here little jum [Music] just let this sit here in the Sun and dry out a little bit it's got a little bit of moisture in it from that rain the other day and uh it'll dry out and that should rake out pretty good said I'm having Donnie bring the kamatsu Dozer over here it's just going to be a lot easier to finish grade with that I love D6 but it just does not do a good job finish grading but I mean it it rate through there [Music] decently is that a o Tre I was saving Noe [Music] oh we got a big [Music] [Music] Stu all right I'm going to finish clearing this little area right here and then go over there I'll probably run down that area that I mulched when uh Jeff and I were originally exploring this property and uh dig up the stumps that were left there and then start working on that tree line over there getting it knocked down and wind Road up I said there might be a slight chance of rain today so we'll see what becomes of that if it does come a good little dour I may go and set one of those uh brush piles on fire especially the one right there where the house slot is because I need that one gone so that I can the Builder I was on the phone call with the builder he wants to kind of cut the lot down a little bit it was about 3 ft of taper across it and uh he wants to uh cut it down about 18 in and uh put it on the downhill side so that uh uh the house kind of sits A Little More Level so be a little bit of dirt work to do once that brush pile is gone to get the uh house a little more level but it makes [Music] sense well I've been getting it done today I got that whole section up there cleared made a pass down there a pass back pack pass across the front making another one right here property line is somewhere right in there just pretty much have this there there's more here than I thought there was there's still a fair amount of trees there left and the rain is coming setting in it ain't a whole lot but I'm going to keep an eye on it I'm going to clear over here to the property line and then see as long as the uh leaves look wet right in there and it looks like it's going to hold some moisture for a while the wind's blowing this way I may go over there and set that brush pile on fire because I can't do anything to gray that house lot until that pile is gone so stay tuned well I think enough rain has fallen to uh set a pile on fire so I'm going to go up here and grab a gallon of diesel fuel throw it on there and let's see what happens that stuff's pretty dry so I think it's going to uh start up pretty quickly we'll find out here in about 5 minutes 5 minutes turned into 7 minutes but I think I think my pile is going to disappear really quickly yeah that's nice and dry brush there in fact I'm probably going to uh since that's burning really good I think I'm going to go set that one right there on fire as well get rid of both of these I got to move the track loader though so I grabbed a uh uh grapple full of burning sticks and came over here and put them in this pile and I believe it is going to catch up right quickly [Music] [Music] too that was like the perfect rain still lightly raining but that was like the perfect rain to uh wet everything down to make it safe to burn but like not make the brush so wet that it doesn't burn this stuff regardless being so small it's going to uh smoke it's just so packed in there but definitely being dry makes it it [Music] better that's definitely going to make it better right [Music] there these little stumps I got I need to go over there and push that uh those other stumps over here to this pile in fact I'm probably I need to move the track loader I'll just take it and push those stumps over here real quick to this pile that way I can get those in there and burning down almost [Music] forgot I need to move the track loader it's a little bit close it's not terribly close but I don't want it any closer toasty [Music] toasty well that'll be great I can burn this down today kind of keep these piles piled up and then probably move the ashes later this week that's going to work out great I love it when things work out every now and then and 10 minutes later that's the good thing about that small stuff it burns so fast I think I'm going to grab a grapple full of burning stuff and run over here and put it in that pile behind me and go ahead and burn it up as well just over an hour over here on the first pile I'm going to rest stack everything it's burnt down really fast just kind of get all this restacked up so that all these stumps will burn up tonight hopefully and there shouldn't be a whole lot [Music] left a few of these parot stumps we still have a lot of dir on them I don't know how much of that's going to end up coming off or not so throw that back in there for a little little more cooking [Music] [Music] grab all this little stuff get it piled up in there so it can burn down as well got a bunch of roots right here I might pick pick through some of it but really not too worried about trying to get all of that little stuff at some point in time you just end up spending more time than it's worth trying to pick out every little [Music] stick I'm glad I was able to get these two piles burnt here today that's really going to help out as far as grading the house lot and everything we can kind of get get that cleaned up a lot better and unfortunately my other stuff's going to be way too green to burn but I think by the time it rains again it will uh have dried out enough to hopefully burn this [Music] well all right I'm going to pick through here and get a few more sticks and stuff out and then uh probably restack the second pile and call it a day here so pretty good progress today I've got all that cleared right there made a pass down there another pass back and everything cleared all right here so pretty much all that's left is that corner right there but there was more there than I was expecting I thought it was only about a half an acre or so but I think it was probably a whole acre that line kind of went off at an angle more than I was expecting and it really added up but that's fine we were going to clear it all anyway so Donnie swapped the kamatsu Dozer out for or swwa the D6 out for the kamasu Dozer made a few passes through here that looks like that's going to clean that up a lot better and get the last of those roots out and then we'll blade over it did come a rain shower hour so I was able to set these two piles on fire and uh I'm going to leave well enough alone let those burn down tonight I'll come back in the morning and kind of rake through there and restack it but as hot as those got that should really burn down good tonight and I really don't expect a whole lot left in the morning
