this is yacht world legends an in-depth exploration of amazing vessels hey everyone i'm ryan mcvinnie and welcome back to another episode of yacht world legends today we're standing aboard the amazing 235 foot super yacht coco she's a remarkable vessel as you can see i'd like to invite you to come aboard with me and have a look all right hey guys we're starting out here on the e-deck of kogo this boat is actually the result of two iconic super yacht designers coming together tim haywood did the exterior designs and terence disdail did the interior designs they did a really beautiful job here on the e-deck you actually have what one of my favorite parts of the boat is the outdoor open-air cinema so the projector is above here and this drops down on a projector screen great place to watch flicks with the friends at sunset really nice also notable about the decks on the boat they are made of gray teak so it's a little bit lighter than normal teak it's cool on the feet in the sun which makes for a really nice experience and from here you can move forward to the main salon so follow me hi ryan hey emma i see you've made yourself comfortable already oh i could just sit here all day yeah i can see why it feels kind of japanese in here i like the look and feel yeah well actually that's um terence desales trademark it's kind of a fusion of eats smoothies west ah okay i understand yeah and i like the dark wood like parquet floors yeah i mean dizzle uses a real wide range of textures um so you can see this wooden hanging sculpture it's very textured and we've got the dark wood parquet floor yep um we've got their kind of woven rope chair which you can just sit down and relax in yeah it sort of looks like baton style and i like the kind of textured walls here as well yeah absolutely and you've got a full bar over here so you can just you know prop up a seat and have a drink in the evenings yeah what a great space a lot of light in here too even though it's kind of dark wood feel but tons of light comes in from either sides absolutely so emma's going to help me walk through this boat because after all a 235 foot super yacht there's a lot to see nice to have a little bit of help to do that i think absolutely ryan let me show you around all right let's take a look welcome to the master owners cabin where you check out this you'll see why kogo's won so many awards including motor of the year award in 2007 and best interior design let's check out the bedroom we've got a king-size mattress here and through here we have a library come lounge area and the space feels vast i mean if you shut the doors this area alone would feel like its own private yacht and through here you've got his and hers on suites so come follow me through i'm here in the communal part of the master ensuite and it's a lovely space just to come and relax at the end of the day here we have a huge tub i mean you could probably fit a baby elephant in there if you really wanted to and it's been nicely split up so the owners have complete privacy over here we have his ensuite and over there we have hers ensuite now i think ryan has got lost so i'm just going to find out where he is thanks emma yeah i did get lost for a minute there but i have found another really cool feature of this boat obviously for a film buff like me i'm into any kind of cinema room and this is the interior cinema room so we saw the exterior this room actually you can close the doors and black it out and it has high-end premium audio so you can get that full movie experience in here and comfortable seating throughout plus by the way everywhere in the boat you have a little button to press if you need anybody from the crew to come help you um this boat actually can handle 26 crew members aboard who can wait on the up to 14 guests in seven different cabins uh at their beck and call so it's a true hotel like experience on the other side of this wall you have a huge dining room which is big enough for anybody's family to enjoy the holidays together on board from here i'm going to move to the back of the vessel there's a pretty special treat back there let's check it out [Music] all right everyone i've made my way aft and then downstairs and here we have four vip staterooms beautiful rooms that sit forward of the gym and spa fitness area i'm guessing i might find emma in the massage room let's check it out thanks ryan yeah i'm here in my favorite room of the yacht the massage room um it feels very relaxing to be here um it's nice and dimly lit and you can see that the asian influence continues on through here opposite here we have a steam room and a spa and in front of that we have the gym so guests can stay in shape after all this super yacht has a 5 000 nautical mile range that's a long time so it's gonna be really important for them to stay in shape i'm gonna go find ryan i've got a feeling he's sunbathing on the beach deck [Music] all right so actually i was heading to the beach club to catch some rays but on my way there i looked in this door and i saw this unbelievable dive room this is amazing you don't see stuff like this on a yacht very often a dedicated dive room you've got lockers for your dive gear and then you've got plenty of storage here they've got sea bobs electric surfboards regular full-size surfboards wake boards all you could want to enjoy a day on the water and a lot of closet space as well easy access directly out to the beach club which i am going to go check out now here we have the real beach club so this is an amazing feature of the vessel it's actually not something you see on newer vessels they change some of the regulations around construction but basically you have a flush first floor that goes straight in from the water all the way into the spot the whole transom folds down gives you great access to the water and also another unbelievable feature of kogo is 18 shower heads above here so you can create a full stream of water right here kind of like a waterfall on the beach club very nice feature and it seems that emma has beaten me out here i'm having a lovely time it's great being right next to the water yeah it feels like you're on a beach right absolutely well i'm gonna let you lounge and enjoy yourself for a minute and uh i'm gonna head up to the top deck so we'll catch up in a bit perfect so i've made my way up to the top deck of coco here the journey up here by the way is really epic it's the stairs are all beautiful the railings are wrapped in what feels like leather and then when you get to the top you have this airlock door it's almost like coming out of a submarine you actually press the button and you hear it pressurize and wait a minute and then it opens pretty slick once you come out here you have the big helipad and the unique thing about this helipad is it is a touch and go but it's beyond that so you can land the helicopter here you can take off and go explore but it's also rated to have the helicopter on board while you're underway so this has been engineered to support the extra weight you can ratchet that helicopter down in place and keep it on the helipad while you're cruising so right now of course you see there's a rib tender here on board but that is where your helicopter would go if that weren't there there is so much more to see on board coco let's keep moving and while ryan goes around and has a look at the rest of the yacht i'm just gonna chill here by the plunge pool you'll notice that it's shimmering and it's made of a glass mosaic we've also got a jet stream here which is great if you want to do some swimming training and we've also got this huge sun lounging area um we've got these beautiful sun pads and it's enclosed by glass paddling all around so then it's windy you don't feel a thing i think i'm just going to stay here for the rest of the day so just below the helipad and the top deck and just above edek where we started is this beautiful outdoor dining area we showed you the indoor dining area where you can have your whole family gather out here your whole family could gather around this alfresco dining experience have a full bar here and then also another little bar area on this side big loungers in the back this is a great area i feel the cross breeze i can imagine enjoying many meals here there's much more to see i'm gonna keep moving so i'm sitting here in the captain's chair on the bridge deck of cogo this is a walk around bridge you don't see that on a lot of boats under two or three hundred feet so very large vessels have walk around that means you can walk in front of the main controls here all right so a bit more about kogo she was built in 2006 in france by alston at akker yards she was refit in 2016 she's powered by a diesel electric propulsion system it's similar to what you might find on a very large commercial ship like cruise ships the advantage there is that you can kind of control your energy system you can conserve energy use it for different things on board when you need to it actually has twin mtus twin cats it's got two pod drives and four generators pretty advanced system and like i mentioned this helm is state of the art the wheelhouse display system can provide vessel motion and environmental data when selected communications between the vessel and helicopter are by way of mobile aeronautical vhf radio located on the wheelhouse also kogo is ice class certified so she can actually go further north you know it doesn't have to be worry about icebergs and so basically a very expedition level yacht you can go exploring anywhere in the world on board this vessel if you like kogo and what you see on board and you want to make this lifestyle
