[Applause] so first of all thank you guys for coming each year we come here we are astonished at the support that we get and here we are in a chomp no so and it's all because of you guys so I just went with that thank you so much keep it up anyway get to it I really don't know that be this really nothing special about this scene it's it's there's a character Sam it is really no Dean in it which is kind of no in this this is a little bit of the first episode that that we film it will air three I got I got to direct it was a very cool experience as ah this is uh this is a little slice of life back into Sam's past and enjoy this is a tree enjoy Thank You Meechum egos leave me Valerie [Applause] and Crowley [Applause] [Music] [Applause] welcome guys first of all I know we're asking we're gonna keep a little mystery with that clip we just watched budgets and what's it been like now you've directed twice with the lake penomet rector shoes ah it was it was more difficult second time which is a little a little strange you know I have more knowledge after doing it first time but I think last year it was more ignorance with but it was it was good I had to be added more but you'll see when you see the episode I had to act a little bit more this episode than I did last year so that proved to be a bit of a challenge and and also working with him is always a challenge but that leads to my next question I had some fans for questions on Twitter and a hare bat McFly right name by the way as Jared did you behave when he directly of course not the least I can do farm is make his job let's hear some more screaming [Applause] smells like Robert Pattinson up here was he in my seat no I uh yeah you know I did I think I think I'd be a I don't know I try not to but maybe I did he was good to me so I figured I'd to get him back I mean the one thing is that fortunately I've been around on the show a little bit is not much twice I I know it so he he trusted me that to tell him where to go and you know what to say what to say other than that oh I don't have to tell this guy how to be Sam you know not to mention we've been watching each other's backs for six years now so what like that not like that Jesus okay oh it's an all-pro so so there's you know as far as like performance wise you're not always kind of looking out for each other whether no matter who's directing so I think that was very easy I gotta ask now Misha a lot of questions maybe no don't ask him anything don't go get sassy all has been such a lovable character what's been your reaction when you saw where they were going with it written in such a way what was my reaction when you saw where they wanted to take Castiel can you use smaller words for me I don't go past two syllables reaction well I had to be perfectly honest with you I have been sort of as an actor or surprised that no one has written a god role for me yet in my [Music] it just seemed like a such a natural fit and I think obviously getting to know me Sarah saw that and just sort of woven into the story because they kind of fit and you can't see what I can see but it says please be aware that members of your audience may be under 18 years so I'm not gonna say what I was about to say but it was hilarious [Music] [Applause] Wow tone it down folks but yeah so anyway it's to be perfectly honest it's incredibly daunting you know normally when you get a role you see oh yeah this guy you know slob he probably wants with a limp or in my case a tots with a list usually and and this time it's like wow how do you play God obviously I haven't figured that out but it's an interesting challenge to work on okay so Sarah I gotta ask it's a loaded question but how much might we see Castile this season what is his role in the season going in you guys really want to know how much you see me sure [Applause] I'm glad you asked um you know we've been getting this questions pretty much every minute of every day I'm sorry to hear about the change in Castile and you know the reality was that we want to tell you everything we can tell you about Misha because we love Misha as much as you do we want to tell you everything we can about Castile because we adore the character as you do but I mean you saw the cliffhanger it was very cliffhanger II know we want you to tune in and the anticipatory and we can't say that's what you know which is that he's going to be in the first couple of episodes so watch those and then bug about it again and we'll tell you a little more they couldn't come all that was really informative answering the question but I'm explaining why a little Jim Bobby has been sorted he got tested a little with Sam try to kill him last season where is he up now is he come to terms is everything cool between these guys well everything's cool between Bobby and sanidine between Jim and Jared and Jensen that's a very different question and one that I don't really want to get into right now you requested me to sit between you guys right I requested that everybody Civic you know I you know I think that I think that the difficulty is that Bobby and Preity know like when Sam tried to kill him that the I think Bobby realizes that in the world that we inhabit really really bad things happen to people that are sometimes out of their control and that you know Sam didn't mean it he takes it back yes he takes it back so we're good good uh mark you know Crowley [Applause] the kiss mark give them a kiss kiss give them another a lot of Hershey's kisses going on here probably had a bunch bigger agenda than it seemed and he thought he kind of had it all figured out only to have Castiel kind of turned the tables on him so what's what's going on with him now is he sort of licking his wounds or is he just ready now to come back and he's going to you know get that guy for betraying him get what he wants I'm in season seven look at you DVDs and earlier dr. gotcha really thanks Evan am I in seventh heaven so what am i doing sir well without telling you too much I can tell you today you're not the one mark would you like to like to see Crowley do next well you see I think I should give up on supernatural together I think the new spin-off half-hour sitcom called Oh Crowley a musical dance is also down your pants you will see Crowley very early in the he's being so disingenuous he knows I do she doesn't act agreement a comic-con she says don't tell anybody anything [Music] who casts said he has big plans for him so we're going to tell you what those are pretty much right from the job it's been a lot it's been an awful lot of fun to see what's happened thus far and I'm really looking forward to see what happens this year and you ventricular chef in general has gone into some amazing places with getting better and sort of analyzing itself and last season the French mistake was sort of a genius having done the French mistake is there anywhere you can else you can go with meta you know at that point like it are you trying to think what other angle can you take on this yeah I think um well I will probably is a good start honey like I don't really know how much more we can do I think that that's this breaking of the fourth wall was a pretty profound one well I think that we just I feel like this lots of room to play with form I think that the French mistake is meted directly meta and then we've done other things that are meted like I think those features as metadata sense because the form number in so I think it will do more experiments like that but I'm not sure what you can do to top the you've used the actual actors name just painless two minute left what that is fatalist I know let's top it all right we will I mean I'm talking about about spaceships I think we should go on this trip for one episode I'm serious but we'll get down to that later on server I'll talk to you about that later my first reaction when I heard the anime was gonna exist was you have a new angle there's something you can do in the anime now no I think that you know that's cool too this just I think we're still dedicated to playing crazy games with this box of toys that we've been given but as far as the direct matter break we're gonna have to work on that that's a good that's a good hard not to crack thanks for asking you know Jared you took Sam to some very dark places last season uh we've seen some glimpses of what went on and that sort of missing year do you think that they hinted at you that there's even more there even more horrible things he was involved in uh well that's too much no uh yes yes yes thank you yes there's obviously more my kind of touching that earlier and a few interviews but there's a lot that that Sam has seen that now he can see again now that the wall has fallen and I for my part I'm really excited about kind of playing Sam that doesn't really know which reality he's in you know cuz Sam is obviously for those who haven't watched the show Sam had some hard times last season and now we get to play with with Sam's healing and I think the Winchester brothers have always kind of they've always reacted things with courage and bravery and been strong about it and what excited me so far the scripts that I've read is that Sam is is is way out of his League he feels that it was legal it'll but it's kind of scary so I actually read it and I was getting chills and I was scared I was really excited about making justice you know scary again and we get to see what you know what can scare the Winchester boys so we get to play with that so Misha shirtless scares the Winchester [Applause] you're confusing fear with jealousy [Applause] jeomsun things weren't actually you know very happy for your character the end of the last season either you know obviously you have a very big problem to deal with right now which is an angel calling himself God but how much is weighing on your character what he just had to sacrifice and what he had to sort of leave behind going forward um well I think the goodbye of suspended Lisa you know toughest it as it was on Dean I think it was a necessity you know he he comes to the realization that that's that's never going to be his life no matter how much he dreams about it no matter how much he would love it to be so he's a hunter he'll always be a hunter and that's that's just the way it's going to be so I think that that was a that was a must and it had happened and it was a it was a tough scene to shoot just you know for Dean I for me as mean it was uh it was a sad goodbye but you know now we've got a now we've got a bigger problem on our hands yeah well that leads me to a question I was gonna ask question but someone on Twitter also asked at a GH near 76 you got character saying I am God but you have a character out there then people speculated about which isn't shot I'm just curious you know my dub he be appearing again I can touch upon that and you're going where you are with Castiel um shocked not appear the early part of the season we have no plans hurt him to also come a big part of you know cast stepping up and taking this sort of mantle on and saying I'm the new God is that he has always felt really strongly that his father abandoned them all like where's God when you need him we had a storyline about him looking for God and God never showed up he did the whole go out for cigarettes and never come back thing so um that's always been a big deal for him so one of the questions we asked ourselves was um well your God what do you do you're gone you know you get to be your dad you got your dad did a crappy job what are you gonna do differently and before everything goes completely to hell for him which of course it does because it's television you know he gets to you gets to do what we think God would maybe do Cass were on the doesn't be sure what's it been like for you I'm preparing to take on your godly mantle [Music] um yeah you know it's like I said it's just I believe it won't take another dandy office yeah we could take a lot lot from my personal life and we've character getting him to take it off is the hard yeah um very method so smart inspiring to accept far more than usual up in Vancouver you might have seen it all yeah no III don't know what to say it's it's definitely a daunting challenge it's it's funny it's one of those things that actually I I got kind of nervous about it like ah this is a big under it's a big challenge I mean you had to be safety it's kind of right yes that takes as much I've got to take a page from you way to answer questions I think that everybody on supernatural some point or another has an opportunity to play a very interesting very epic mythological character and it's something that I we don't get to do the uh working on other shows it's it's an unusual treat to get to do and and an unusual challenge speaking of get all serviced it was those heartfelt creepy Laden gentle music on either this shoulder because the characters get the change in transform so much I'm trying to think I think every single one of you who had a death scene pretty sure oh I like that scene yeah oh good like six times enjoyed getting to do your big death scene and then being getting told and in your okay don't worry your system I got like 40 times in one episode no I died again sir do you make a lot of phone call saying and don't worry when you read that page in the script you get better we actually do make a lot of phone calls to actors recurring actors on the show you know it's a polite and good thing to do as a producer who to call an actor when they're going to get pages that say they die and one of the things we say is that death doesn't mean the same thing on Supernatural that means on other shows like loud well we so we've made that coffee alive Jared and Jensen don't worry is hot but every everyone you know no one is safe on the show Jared Jeff don't worry about it you know many times Jensen is crying in my arms you're not gonna die Jensen you're not gonna do it we can't do without you guys we're gonna start taking questions from you guys just a minute to get this prepared are you serious you know the the fans it's it's young conflict is good drama and then of course though some of the fans are like I understand a Dean had to be fighting it all the time for you guys though you know is it is it fun free meter you get along in real life to be like all right right now we're you know we're at odds we get to hate each other for the day I think I think the brother of bickering is has always been you know a part of the show that that he and I just kind of done you know pretty easily it's when like last year when when soulless Sam was it was around and he wasn't playing Sam that was that was a real kind of challenge I think for her for me as an actor because it wasn't it wasn't Sammy I wasn't able to play Dean with Sam like I had been for the past five seasons so I think that was that was definitely a challenge but the know we have no problem fighting with each other yeah seriously though I bet that is one of my favorite parts the brothers bickering the brothers fighting I felt like it's like I can remember of certain times I know what the episode was or what it's called but I remember we shot one scene I want to say either Bob or Kim directed it season one or two or fighting like in a motel room I'd snap out of it and I feel like after each number one of those scenes I feel like Sam grew kind of by accident in spite of himself as opposed to or in spite of myself and so I enjoy those scenes because inevitably something when you work with somebody for so long as an actor and know them soul as a human being you're able to get more out of each other you know if a guest or comes on no matter how talented they are and they're often very talented they can't quite pull out of you what somebody that you know it's like you always hurt the ones you you know like someone us hurt them the most now is hurt you the most the better you know somebody the more you can push their buttons and the more your buttons can be pushed and so I feel like as Jared I feel like my character grows when I have these intense scenes with Jensen and that was difficult for me to do solas because there be parts where I was kind of just I assume dead I don't know what I looked like but I was trying to get eyes and then I felt so bad because I couldn't react and respond to Jensen the Dean but now we get to fight again there wasn't really I was hoping for like a climax at the end of the question my god all I get is now we get to fight again so bear with it Jim any of these characters are lucky in love but you know last season it was pretty sad when we got that glimpse of another life for your character you know do you ever say I'm always a bride or never birds make something like a bride never [Music] have you talked to have you talked to you instead hey Kim Kim this guy finally and finally find some laundromat did you kiss mark yeah hey Shay where your question we're not look like a we're just like a mouse - fight got a beard you know they get it comes up and discussion every once in a while and thus far hasn't ended well I I had this sneaking suspicion that I don't know that we haven't seen the last of sheriff Mills in Bobby's life in one way or another but that's just a sneaking suspicion and it's one I would fully support if you out of that because uh unlike the sheriff Mills that I played on Harper's Island this sheriff Mills is hot I'm a totally good before we start the audience questions are there any characters you can talk about because your show is free to bring if you like you back from years ago you finally think me about but he plans for some characters to return oh yeah Joe is coming back Oh [Applause] really yeah really should we find out when you find out isn't that great Gracie found out after cuz the sound echoed and hit us through app office we I mean that's a perfect example of someone who dies on the show and we're literally sitting in the editing room watching dailies and going I can't wait to bring back so we've just been waiting for the right story for her and we have one so we're bringing her back um whoa what sheriff Mills is returning an episode or two and at least and who else gentlemen down there with museum you with beers you have plants for Crowley to return um death yeah yeah we have a few more in the works I'm a little superstitious about talking about them before the deal is closed call me crazy but um yes and you'll meet new guys too it'll be laughter they'll be ders all right guys let's start with some unease questions can't quite see you but we know gesturing that is very similar to rheumatica structures of American sign language have you considered using those skills as sign language components in some of your Z's and the sign language episode sounds totally yeah that sounds pretty good what what how will be holidays going to incorporate more sign language into your performance right I think that's a cool idea yeah we brought two stories at once yeah you could be you could have one be completely wrong what do you think that's pretty interesting yeah I think that I think that Ben and Sarah might disagree with me but I think that you can say a lot without saying words and so thank you for picking up on that because I think that's something that a lot of us pride ourselves in bringing to our characters the things that we say between the lines so yeah that's it wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to say words at all I just point you with YouTube we have five or six like the twenty nine words for snow we have so many different ways of saying that YouTube exchanged a look we could just read see the different looks you two extreme yeah we're pretty to have like you can probably cut together an entire episode of just Sam back to maybe season one and there were probably a lot more characteristics that we shared I think over the years Dean has kind of evolved into a much more specific character that I am not so you know similarities we like the same kind of music we we like like vintage cars des bud hey both characters are all the time tired from song and neither one of us can stop ourselves win survivor plays apparently so that's a no I that's that's about it now just wondering if being the Antichrist has helped you like and maybe influence you on being God cast what can you repeat the bunch of yeah NASM situation Christ and all that has that like influence you how you play pass is gone are you guys actually not sure I like this question you're good a variety of answers from us well yeah since I'm a make this clear I came a long way for the show and so that's why you good really is it organ Jensen and Jared okay I saw you five I saw you guys five years ago in Los Angeles when you were doing the first season halfway through and I remember you guys said well the producer said that there was only going to be five seasons after that you guys finished with the apocalypse so what were your thoughts when you found out that the show is going to go on honestly I'll let you later oh thanks um you know I was I was surprised and and also proud at the fact that mr. Kripke kept to his word and wrote those wrote those five years the way he had planned and the fact that he had a plan for five season season still boggles my mind what else I you know after writing a pilot I wouldn't know where to go from there so the fact that he had five years lined up and that he kept to it he just didn't stretch those five years into six or seven or eight or not on however long ago that he kept to it that I thought was was really really cool and because the story of these two brothers just continues to evolve it I think the stories are kind of endless so you know we've got the I have faith in these guys and as long as they keep kicking out stories we'll we'll keep telling [Applause] thank you yes that Jared's right here too so just to follow up on that you know do you guys have other have you had further discussions you know about Wayne it might and read this right now you've got a lot of stories to tell and you can take it year by year we hope it goes on for a long time you know Eric did create kind of a perfect franchise to keep going and we have fresh blood in the room this year and it's kind of amazing how much fresh energy there is so we have a plan in place if this is the last year and we have a firm plan in place if it isn't yes question then be up to you guys we have time for hey this is a question for Ben we're good you know every time they open the trunk they have this like arsenal and they're like all these incredibly cool things and like specifically every time I see those ninja stars like oh my god they're a ninja stars I know they look so bad that is a grenade launcher why can't we use the grenade launcher the ninja stars oh the heavy work when we start blowing things up with the weapons in their toilet I love the ninja stars but you could do the ordinance - you know whatever you want but please do it cuz I'm just a ninja story he's like I just want to make ninjas ninjas you think that they should fight the ninjas also so you're asking when we might flesh use more of these crazy weapons in various stories I think if we use things like grenade launchers then the stories tend to end about two acts early cuz everything just blows up so we do for me to film and security oh the starships all right maybe maybe and just say we did two stars that's and that's what we can use against the Jefferson stars what we should do is just to see what you guys like practicing with the ninja stars I don't know if you've ever thrown ninja stars I used to do it a lot and they just they fly all over the place I'd like to see you guys try to learn maybe you're great but I'm not sure well I remember when you guys wrote that Dean was throwing knives in one episode a couple of seasons ago and my trailer looked like Swiss cheese but I kid you not they set up like a board and I just started chucking knives in my trailer I was aiming to start over good at first that's hard throwing knives are tough so yeah yeah so we'll maybe do some shuriken that's I think the official name for the also it turns out ninjas doesn't use those historically speaking now just using history to bring everyone down guys yeah I have to wrap it up there with with it but you leave one more one more oh no we just have the basic classic yeah [Music] [Music] going up you wing it trips go get a very special present there we got some special stuff to show you just as a brief intro supernatural the anime how does that even exist I can't think of any other modern American TV show where there's an animated version made the same time sure we have seen it and it blows our minds um you know the first I saw this was Eric called me into his office and said you are not going to believe this you have to see this and it was the concept drawings and I thought they were genius the Japanese creative team have leave to do their own thing with it and I think have been really cool respectful and creative and have given them a spin to the series and Jared and Jensen have given their voices to at least some of the episodes I think how many oh yeah yeah I don't wanna Mohawk do this what was that like for you guys to have to get to not even have to worry about any hair or makeup we just get to go in and record the voices um yeah you know what well unfortunately we they came to us when when I was also playing like three Sam's and so I was playing hell Sam as he was calling the script and solace and and Sam Sam and then going to the bakery I'm sorry they fell and we go into the sound truck and playing like season one Sam hmm so I was like Sam you better know the runt of the trailer and like I want to go back to law school it was definitely a definitely a juggling act for a little bit there but I think it looks great uh-oh if everybody seen it put scary part woman pretty scary well guys you're about to see a glimpse of it but we want to thank all these guys [Applause]
