There are a lot of cool animations on the web from an era when animating got more interest and ad funds and clicks/engagements.
Star Wars TIE fighter anime, Monty Oum's Road, Haloid, Dead Fantasy, old Red Vs Blue, and other series.
Music video, drama, etc. Though animation takes more time to create, edit and run through, so a lot of animation fell by the wayside for vlog and podcast communities with steadier content, bigger niche communities, and more time to spend focus on.
I can still honestly say aside from a few dated memes, the series, especially the fight, still really holds up.
But honestly, I think he should focus on finishing the remaining episodes instead of remaking the old ones. I think we'll just get stuck with an unfinished series if he does that.
Crazy, there was another guy doing his own take on the SMBZ style (called SMB GT) with a few creative differences (like not fridging all of Sonic's friends except Shadow) and it looked really good too, but then he got caught plagiarizing and took everything down so he could allegedly start from scratch.
And almost immediately the OG is back. Hell yeah.
