foreign [Music] welcome back to the channel everyone um I'm very excited to have you back with me today because it's been a while it's been about four weeks that I uploaded for the last time on this channel thanks for being so patient with me as you guys noticed I added a little um workation kind of thing in the City of Cape Town for almost four weeks and I'm back I'm back in Germany I'm back in my beloved kitchen uh having my beloved coffee um this is to be honest that's something that the capetonians don't really you know like don't get me wrong the food is amazing the food is awesome still I like the coffee better in Germany and some of you might agree with me on that never mind I'm looking forward to do this video um it's the first video of a little series that I recorded in Cape Town and it's about a portrait shooting that I did um with a fellow photographer by the name of Marco clarhold actually he became an even better friend doing our time in Cape Town because he was also spending his time for three and a half almost four weeks um over there and we ended up um doing some shootings together during my time in Cape Town I tried to do different types of shootings which meant um on the one side having more just free more like artsy shootings where I wanted to really you know put my own voice into the images that I was taking um being completely free um just messing around playing with everything with the film stock with the location with the model just coming up with like new ideas the shooting in this video was more kind of like the second type of shootings that I was doing which is more like a commercial kind of thing um that means self-fulfilling in a way that you are able to express what you want to say but in a more commercial kind of way so that clients actually um get to know you a little better get to know your photo language a little better because it's kind of hard to um for clients it's kind of hard to um to translate a photographer's language to their own product or brand so it's kind of important to Showcase those cases on your website so this is what this shooting was about and even though I don't post too much commercial stuff on my Instagram um that was one of the shootings that I still liked to share over there because um erosly really lifestyle really just an overall nice setting like um a really talented model and a nice a nice current nice location beautiful light the wind though was out of this world um the wind can get crazy in Cape Town um and you will see it in the video so um yeah we try to manage that with uh placing like shooting a lot in the car and having cosma being in front of the car not being hit by the wind too much and so that was quite fun I hope you guys enjoy uh this video um the first of a couple of uh videos that will um come out shortly from Cape Town I was shooting on the M7 as always um on the 35mmicron I ended up shooting portrait 400 only in this video um on this shooting and there is also one video coming out shortly uh where I just shot black and white so this is like the kind of opposite so I was just shooting color in this one um yeah let me know your thoughts on the photos in the comments down below Marco was shooting on his Pentax six seven he hasn't finished editing the photos yet um because he's busy working which is totally fine I still wanted to show you like his kind of shooting um which is quite interesting to see also for me like working with other photographers just seeing their kind of how they interact with the model um yeah so I still um included the scenes where he was shooting with cosma but first let's get into the video um hope you enjoyed this one [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] mm-hmm [Music] [Music] ings [Music] thank
