Sunken Yacht Raised from Watery Grave | Update on GP Boat Crash | SY News Ep335

this is super yot news with e sisman hi welcome back to the channel so we've got an update on the crash in Monaco uh last weekend that resulted in a boat being stranded on the pier after hitting two vessels at speed apparently unmanned during the GP weekend now we had some people contact us regarding what happened and we have also some footage taken just moments after the incident showing the boat perched on the pier you in the video footage you can clearly see the emergency strap still attached to the ignition of the boat now this should have been attached to the Pilot's wrist to turn off the engines in the event that he fell out of the vessel now I suppose it's possible that that could have you know broken or detached as he fell out of the vessel but it's more likely this simply was not attached in the first place cuz it means every time he steps out of the boat he has to turn off the engines and then turn it back on again EX and we've had some people who claim to have been eyewitnesses who say that the driver stepped actually did that stepped out of the boat to help guests out and then jumped back in pushing the uh the throttles forwards and then losing his balance and falling backwards as the boat lurched forward uh and hence the boat being unmanned and then It sped off Andra and crashed the in the video footage that you saw in the last episode of super yot news now we've been unable to confirm this version of events but it does make a lot of sense that the boat could have been put into gear this way we said at the time we don't know how the vessel The Vessel was in neutral how did it move off on its own if it was on mandr this is a good example of what may have happened if anyone has any further details please get in touch uh there's no there were no reported injuries in this incident which is remarkable the when you look at the video footage and you consider how bad how badly it could have ended for those people walking on the pier all right we'll move on to the next story again in the last episode episode 334 we told you about a 24 M or 80 foot Predator yacht that sank after hitting an object in the water off the coast of Florida the incident was reported about 3 miles off St Augustine Beach Florida uh a statement from the Coast Guard read apparently the yacht used an eper to raise the alarm UB stands for emergency position in indicating radio Beacon and it sends out a distress on a radio signal monitored by satellites now in that video we explained that the owner had said he would arrange the recovery of the yacht believed to be worth about $1 million well at least before the accident right well we can confirm now that the yacht has been recovered by a company called Logan diving and Salvage based in Jacksonville Florida as you can see in the post here on on Facebook now now every time we post an incident where a boat is damaged or sunk or it's on fire we always get comments saying insurance it's done for the insurance now I know some people do do this does happen with with sometimes with cars and vessels and stuff but it's very rare and you know in this particular instance I don't really see how this owner would benefit from sinking the you know deliberately sinking his yacht and then having to pay to recover it himself self and then have the vessel repaired not to mention the loss of value after such an incident so you know I know it happens but I don't think this was one of those instances all right we'll move on to the next story Mo moach amadea the yacht that was seized in Fiji and sailed to the US under the stars and stripes is now in Seattle for a refit period now we told you about this a few weeks ago we tracked the the yacht as she moved from San Diego and M in the port of Everett which is just North of uh Seattle and we wondered because we couldn't see anywhere that she might go so we wondered where she might be going for that dry do period anyway it appears the yacht will stay in everit to have the dryed DU period uh in that location and we had some information from a local John Downing who spoke to someone close to the yacht and he was told the yacht is having the work carried out by Everett Ship Repair in a floating Dry Dock right there in the port of Everest John told us there are two entities in that location the Naval Station Everett and the port of Everett the person he spoke to is connected with the port of Everett uh he said within the port of Everett is the company Everett chip repair now you can see in the photos here sent To Us by John and by some other contributors that the floating dry dock is right there in the photo behind amadea wasn't immediately noticeable uh at the time uh when we got first got our first images from from Everett now if we look on AIS we can see the yacht uh and we can see that floating Dry Dock in the satellite image and it looks as though amadea is inside of that although it's slightly off you know the the position of the vessel is slightly off that's just because of the data being received by AIS uh now if anyone has any any updated footage or still photos uh so we can update the story to show The Vessel sent into us from the Monaco GP weekend where these two massive yacht were at anchor for the GP first one is Mott Appo 150 M or 380 foot yacht built by luron in 2021 for Michael Lee chin but latest is sold and now owned by the Canadian garbage billionaire Patrick dovigi and the second yacht here is Mo yacht Renaissance this is a 112 M or 367 foot yacht uh built in Spain by the ferari shipyard now this is the largest yacht ever to come out of Spain and it's over 7,000 gross tons so it's a very voluminous yacht despite the fact that it's slightly shorter than than Appo for instance is very it's you know it's very very large inside it is a charot and it can accommodate 36 guests in 19 cabins which is the maximum for a passenger yacht a yacht that SS under the passenger yacht code now I mentioned it at the Monaco yacht show is that any vessel that's over 12 guests they have requirements in the build process and in you know in the running process that are higher than a yacht that for instance cases for just 12 guests now if you look at the video for to sh you can see there's an enclosed Lifeboat there on the starboard side now this is a requirement for any vessel that sails with more than 12 guests that's sailing under the passenger y code has to have an enclosed Lifeboat um so that's one of many other um things that they have to do now this yacht is for Charter as we mentioned it's the price of the charter low season is 3 million EUR and High season is three and A5 million EUR so it's one of the most expensive uh Yachts on the charter Market along with flying fox and octopus they're both in the three million euro range and to get the Drone up and get some video footage of the Yachts at Anka cuz it's absolutely incredible check it out this is not this is just
