powerful authority and hear me and i'll leave you with this the lord jesus has powerful authority over all things last week we talked about how the lord was in control of all things but this week what the lord spoke to me was that he's in powerful authority that's what the exusa is in john chapter 5. jesus is defending his deity his godness and as he's defending it he says i have the exousia the powerful authority police have authority because of a badge so when you see a police officer his badge and he puts out his hand and he he tells you to stop you stop because of his badge if somebody got in the middle street and told you to stop and they didn't have no badge on you would keep going because you don't have the right you don't have the authority but then there is the power which sentences so the police officer tells you to stop he pulls you over he put handcuffs on you he takes you to jail and then from there you have to go before a judge who is seated that judge is seated in that county or that community and whatever that judge says he has the power that his word is the last so the judge says when the police officer deal is null and void you go home free but then if the judge says because of what you've done i'm going to send this you to 5 10 20 years then they lock you up and take you to prison but it's the seat of the judge jesus is the powerful authority he's the righteous judge he he is the badge and the seat all at the same time he's the police officer and the judge all at the same time and what the lord would have me to release today and i couldn't preach it but i can tell it is that god wants us to know he's in powerful authority there is nothing going on in your life that he does not have the powerful authority over he's god your children he's in powerful authority you're home he's in powerful authority your finances he's in powerful authority if it don't seem like god is in authority over some things in your life it's probably because you haven't submitted them to god to have powerful authority over them he defends himself and says i am god and besides me there is no other the lord told me that the church has begun to forgot or forget i'm sorry the church has begun to forget how powerfully of for how powerful and authoritative god is god can do whatever he wants to do i'ma get my words together i'm still caught up in the lord god can do sister whatever he wants to do whenever he wants to do it however he wants to be because he is god he is god he is god and we've forgotten how much god he is but this morning he wants to remind somebody he is the lord god somebody just lift your hands because you know he's in he's got powerful authority come on lift those hands lift those hands lift those hands if you're in your home watching i know see when the lord gets moving like this amen it no longer becomes a music and some people log off but this moment ain't for those looking to be amused it's for those looking for god
