YOU CAUSE THE HEART SEE SOME OF THE ORGANIZERS ARE ARRIVING THIS MORNING TO SET UP. >>FOR THE FESTIVITIES TODAY, WE WANT TO SHOW YOU SOME VIDEO FROM YESTERDAY'S FESTIVITIES. A LOT OF THE ACTIVITY WILL BE FOCUSED AROUND PEACE PLAZA. THIS FESTIVAL STARTEDBACK IN 1968 AND HAS GROWN OVER THE DECADES TO TO WEEKEND EVENT THAT'S ORGANIZED BY VOLUNTEERS. ORGANIZERS SAY THAT THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST PROMINENT SHERRIE LAWSON FESTIVALS OUTSIDE OF JAPAN. EVENTS WILL START AROUND 11 O'CLOCK THIS MORNING WITH SOME MARTIAL ARTS PERFORMANCES. AND TODAY IS THEIR BIG GRAND PARADE. THAT PARADE WILL START AROUND 01:00PM AND IT WILL DEPART FROM CIVIC CENTER PLAZA PROCEEDING BACK UP TO POLK STREET TO POST STREET AND BEING HERE IN JAPANTOWN.
