STUNNING First Look of 2020 Corvette C8! Sebring Orange, 3LT, Z51 Package!

hey everyone welcome back to daily downshift I'm your host nestor and i'm artist and today we're did something pretty damn exciting so we're going down south across the border to the great US of A and we're from Toronto obviously and so we're checking out the Corvette c8 at what place is it Victor Victor Chevrolet so that's just outside Rochester New York we're taking the beautiful 82 and it should be it should be an awesome ride we're gonna bring you guys along do some vlogging and obviously show you the awesome awesome car here's the thing what color do you think it's gonna be I'm betting it's gonna be the orange what do you think I'm saying it's gonna be red right yeah they haven't written single red one I guess he's not mad he's gonna lose it so I'm saying it's an orange one but anyways guys let's get right into it I'm on ten again pump up the action if he never heard of in dopey just nap Jackson check this out she can see it you got our nice 28 minutes you guys can see that 28 minutes bumper-to-bumper it's gonna be a fun one yeah oh wow wow wow that is all I can say about the brand-new 2020 stingray after seeing it in person for the very first time as soon as I walked through the doors there was only one thing that came to mind and that is how much this vehicle looks like an exotic supercar and to finally be able to say that about a Corvette is remarkable I think that is one of the greatest compliments that you can give to the people that were responsible for creating this absolute beast please do yourself a favor and check this vehicle out if there's any sort of Corvette event going on beside your house maybe there's a dealership beside you that's going to get this vehicle and show it off to the public I would definitely recommend going in because in person this is just so much better than in videos and pictures so we're gonna start off with the front of the vehicle here and the hood itself it's actually pretty lightweight now it is on hydraulics which makes it a little bit easier but if we had to guess we'd say that it's probably no more than 40 50 pounds and it goes up and down very easily the trunk also has a lot of space or I guess I should probably call it the front because it's the front trunk but it has a lot of space I put my hand in there and it goes all the way up to my shoulders so tons of tons of room it is very deep now this vehicle is equipped with the z51 package as you guys can see it has the michelin PS 4 tires which are fantastic it has the z51 calipers and this speck right here has the black standard wheels which do cost 995 to get them painted that color as you guys can see on the passenger rear hand side under this massive scoop is an intake and it's very visible we don't know how this is going to look on the actual built vehicle itself that goes out for sale because this is a pre-production model baby this is going to change but on the passenger hand side you can see it very clearly and that's obviously going to help with cooling it's also very interesting that on the driver's hand side that looks a lot different and there isn't an intake that's very visible like the passenger side now moving on to the back we are doing the famous Jeremy Clarkson test on the Corvette and that is of course pushing it in to see if it is flimsy or if it's you know just basically cheap feeling and honestly it really isn't whatsoever the only place that we actually could push in the vehicle was where the license plate was and that's mostly because of the license plate cover rather than the vehicles you know structure itself I went to a Corvette event a few years ago and the C sevens had an issue where every time I would push on the lights they felt very cheap and they felt like they were moving a lot but the construction on this vehicle feels a lot more rigid and solid and that is obviously a great thing the target op sits very nicely in the back trunk it locks in place as well and here we have these 6.2 liter v8 is an absolute beast and we also have the carbon fiber package on the sides of the engine the strange thing about the carbon fiber is that it's actually not supposed to be on this specific car this car does not come equipped with the engine appearance package and we know that because the engine cover is the stock color and we also tried looking for the LED lights that light up the engine bay and they were completely absent one of the Corvette specialists told us that because this car was handmade and it wasn't made on the production line in Bowling Green Kentucky there are a lot of things here that may look slightly different when of course the production model comes out this is more or less a prototype so you have to expect things to be a little bit off here and there we close the trunk and instantly realize that the rear end is very wide and looks very aggressive that's one of the things that was apparent instantly to me now the drivers seen the passenger see almost feel like they're a little bit squished in the middle and then the rear end completely flares out giving it this very nice and exotic look I'm personally a very big fan of it now some people on the internet have kind of criticized the backend of being a little bit too cluttered and things being too close in proximity in terms of the light the z51 spoiler as well as the grills underneath but I'm personally a fan and I think with out the z51 spoiler and with a high wing spoiler this car's back-end will look extremely good next let's move on to the interior because this is part of the car that I was by far most surprised with now even though this spec right here is not $60,000 it's probably right around the $85,000 mark because it is fully optioned out and fully loaded it still is a relative bargain when you compare this car to its competition now some of the features that this car has in the interior is the sky cool grey seats they're very nice and they're growing on me each and every day they of course have the GT 2 competition seats a lot of carbon fiber accents and the bolsters are pretty massive and very much so adjustable you have a lot of other really awesome features that are technology oriented like the Bluetooth phone charger between the driver and passenger seats as well as having a front lift kit which raises up the front end by about 6 or 5 inches this spec also has the interior carbon fibre package which essentially places carbon fiber in four different locations the first and most prominent being around the dash the second being in the middle where the control unit is and where you rest your hand and then finally the two other locations are on the driver's side door and passenger side door where the window function keys are located down the middle you have a ton of buttons and this whole panel is really nice in my opinion I'm a big fan of how they separated the driver from the passenger and they made the driver's side feel a lot like a cockpit that in my opinion is really awesome and I've never experienced something like this and any of the cars that I've previously owned ton of buttons down the middle to control you know heated seats vented seats you know AC for the vehicle and all sorts of different stuff my opinion that's a very nice touch and it kind of seems like a fighter jet with all the buttons
