thank you [Music] thank you happy Monday everyone I just finished writing my last midterm for the semester and my last practical before like the final and because it's daylight savings it's so bright and it's literally 5 p.m like I am so ready for spring to be here March has not been hitting like it usually does 2023 March really needs to step it up because 2022 March was absolutely insane I got my pharmacy school interview I got my first publication and I hit 500k on YouTube right now I don't know what's happened except I have this really good looking sushi that I'm about to devour it's like genuinely spent the last eight days learning studying revising memorizing just like the whole thing being extremely extremely productive so I'm going to have a relaxed evening I'm so hungry I had a granola bar for breakfast let's have a first bite I'm so excited [Music] okay guys we are back in the kitchen and don't let the sun fool you because it is absolutely freezing outside today I'm gonna be making a Korean dish it's called Mandu changul which translates to it dumpling hot pot and personally not Korea a lot of you guys think I am but I'm not I've been told from some friends which is one of those dishes that's really good at like clearing out whatever leftover vegetables you have in your fridge so let's get right into it [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] thank you so we have broccoli the Enoki the button mushrooms one ton and I have some crushed garlic underneath but you can't really see that right now and then as the base I'm just going to add a chicken stock this is literally supposed to be a dumpling hot pot but I only had one ton so I don't really know what this is gonna be but it's basically going to be a vegetable stew I think [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] no let me think about it I really was really thinking Mental Math right now [Music] [Music] it is currently 403 on Monday I actually got my nails done in the mornings as you guys saw and then I went to a lab Jay and I are kind of having a pre-dinner I'm just gonna make kimchi fried rice really quickly with leftover rice that I have from the weekend and then we're gonna study for a 40 exam that we have next week [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] she got four shots of espresso three pumps of brown sugar syrup which is basically sugar and then soy milk and then a ton of extra rice more studies right now and foreign package in the mail it's my order from Matilda sure and I've been wanting them since their first release and they finally restocked and I literally bought it within like the first two minutes so we're gonna open this right now foreign okay I have to show you guys they're so cute so I got two different robes I just got the fruit robot has papayas and like summer berries on which I think is so cute and then I got the summer berries pattern and this feels really nice guys oh my gosh this is what it looks like I think it's so cute [Music] thank you foreign [Music] okay I just got a package in the mail and I got the cutest little stickers I'm gonna decorate my airpods packs with I've literally been wanting to decorate them since I bought them literally last year and then I also got this really cute phone case it has a little stand so you can like watch shows and stuff while you're eating and then I bought a makeup brush holder I also got a really cute box cutter I got footer coffee [Music] that I got [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] when I was in Korea my friend explained to me like bbgo runs like all food things ever like they make food products they also run ubereats [Music] time for my weekly grocery haul I went to TNT this time and sadly it is the farthest but is by far the best price for everything that I got and also had the most variety I did get some salmon this isn't like freshly cut like at the other grocery store that I've been to I would also say it was a bit cheaper there but I got that I got spicy pork and vegetable dumpling I just got coffee for snacks and then I got Japanese Curry I got a Nokia mushrooms again another container of kimchi and then I got two white onions and then I got bok choy and then I got two nectarines and I got four golden potatoes I got one carrot I got more frozen dumplings and then I got Korean pork belly slices this is really good if you just like fry in a pan and then also good in like soups and stews so I got this [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] okay guys I just got back from class I was literally out from 10 30 until 6 30 p.m and now I'm gonna make some at Japanese Curry I bought all the ingredients earlier this week and the one good thing about Curry and soups that I learned is that you can freeze them and then you can have them in like just as fresh at another date so I'm gonna do that for next week because that's when my midterm is and I doubt that I'm gonna have time to really cook and then also at the same time I'm gonna meal prep my salmon because it also lasts longer in the fridge cooked than uncooked so I'm literally just going to marinate it the exact same way that I did last time put in the oven while I cook down my Curry so let's get into it okay so I've never done this before so I'm kind of confused as it says a serving of 10 and I said I want to meal prep but like I don't want to meal prep that much you know what I mean this is a problem I had last time 585 grams of onions what does that even mean guys I found a scale I'm going to use this to measure my 200 and whatever scale okay 300 good enough so theoretically this recipe should be really easy because it's essentially just a bunch of chopped up vegetables and then this Curry packet with a protein of your choice I'm defrosting chicken thighs right now and I'll add that in later so I think I just need to wash and prep the veg [Music] I'm gonna cook these onions a little bit until they're translucent and then after that I'm going to add the rest of these vegetables I just have the carrots and the potatoes here and then I'll add three and a half cups of water with the curry packet paste kind of thing and let that all cook down while I make rice and yeah [Music] foreign [Music] meal prep done okay maybe this doesn't look that good but it smells and it tastes really great and this is the salmon that I literally eat all the time [Music] thank you [Music] this is the final dish okay one of the other times the Italians were screaming maybe now the Japanese are screaming because I added furokake to the rice even though I'm pretty sure that's just for sushi and this is literally Curry and just because it's Japanese Curry or it's a Japanese dish does that mean you put them all together but anyways it's really good [Music] I'm using the Flora app to make sure that I get my work done in the next 15 minutes because I've been working on those for way too long [Music]
